(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

June 16, 20XX

Location: Underground Tunnel

Time: Evening

Today was when we decided to go and take back Leanbox from the Virus Empire. Apparently after my little training session with Vert and the others, I was asleep for about a day and a half but luckily for me I was accompanied by either Nepgear or S-Sha as they took turns looking after me. When I woke up, Nepgear was relieved and she even gave me a few healing items in case I needed them too which I stocked up in my inventory.

Of course, Vert was playing her video games the entire time, but once she knew I was awake, she was as happy as the others. A few days later, we're now heading to the tower to both investigate and take down the Virus Empire in Leanbox as we decided to go there through a tunnel where some trains pass by. I was riding on my hoverboard with Nepgear holding onto me while S-Sha was riding a motorcycle right beside me while Vert holds onto her.

(Y/N): You sure this is the best route, Vert? Didn't you say that trains come through here?

Vert: Yes, but since it's nearly nighttime, most of the train rides should be done. We should be safe to ride through these tunnels without a problem. It is the fastest route going around the Golden Summit besides flying. If I heard correctly, you said that the closer we are to the tower, the more our power will decrease, preventing us to transform?

(Y/N): Right. I'm the only one who can supply you with enough power to last though. I don't know why I'm the one exception, but either way it'll be necessary if we want to raid this tower. You all know the plan, right?

S-Sha: We went over it in the Basilicom. . . No big need to revise it.

Vert: Chika should be handling things in my stead in the Basilicom. I just hope she can handle playing online in my stead.

(Y/N): Simpy Stabbers was really envious that she wasn't able to come along with us. . . actually more specifically you, Vert. . . I can still remember the look the annoyed look on her face when we left.

(Flashback)

Location: Leanbox's Basilicom

Time: Afternoon

Everybody was gathered around in a the dining room as they were all getting prepared to go to the base where Leanbox's Virus Empire resides. Right now, we were discussing their game plan for when we go to challenge our enemy. I don't know what we'll face, but it won't be a simple task, I know that.

Vert: You've been through three of these bases, right (Y/N)? How should we play this for when we arrive to face off our adversaries?

(Y/N): Taking down one base is hard enough as I said that there are generals protecting those reactor cores. They won't go down without a fight.

Nepgear: When (Y/N) and I along my sister and her friends fought General Hijack, he was able to take us all on when weren't even in HDD.

(Y/N): That just proves that we shouldn't just go and underestimate them. Hijack was good at combat in general, Canker wasn't as strong, but he packs heavy machinery, and finally Bane was as tough as the ice itself and hard to even knock down. I know nothing about this general and what his powers could be so our best bet would be to just go with the flow until we know how to handle it all.

Vert: That's. . . a bit hasty. . . but I do understand your tactics. So we just go and hope for the best until we finally know where to adapt?

(Y/N): Pretty much. It worked three times for me.

Chika: For someone like you that had to have been pure luck. . .

(Y/N): Oh, one more thing too. We'll need another method of transportation. If you get too close to that tower, you won't be able to transform without my help.

Vert: Huh. That is troublesome. . . Do you have a way to transport yourself on your own?

(Y/N): I have a hoverboard, but I can't have no more than one person riding behind me. Otherwise I'll either have trouble gaining balance or it may become too heavy too.

Nepgear then turns to S-Sha who was leaning against a wall listening to the conversation.

Nepgear: S-Sha. . . can you. . . operate any sort of vehicle?

S-Sha: A motorcycle. Why?

Nepgear: Then you think that you can help us with taking down the Virus Empire with us as well by both driving us and fighting with us too?

S-Sha: I have no interest in fighting the Virus Empire.

Nepgear thinks to herself and then gets an idea.

Nepgear: E-Sha, would you like to help us take down the evil empire with us?

S-Sha's eyes turned green again as E-Sha was in control for a second.

E-Sha: Yes.

With S-Sha back in her body, she scowls for a bit before she sighs and complies.

S-Sha: Fine. . . If E-Sha wants to go then I guess I won't argue. . .

Vert: Good.

Chika: I'm coming too. I'll follow my darling Vert anywhere.

Vert: Sorry Chika, but I'll need you to watch over the Basilicom for me while I'm out.

As if lightning just shocked her feelings, Chika turned to Vert disbelieved that she cannot come along to help.

Chika: What?!

Vert: Someone's got to keep track of how the progress on my games are going while we're out, so I'm putting you in charge. Can I entrust that to you?

Chika keeps her shocked look at Vert before looking at (Y/N) slightly annoyed.

Chika: Yes, but. . . I still don't understand why you need this boy of all people to fight by your side while I'm stuck here missing the action that you're giving?! It's not fair at all!

Vert crosses her arms and gives a somewhat stern look to Chika.

Vert: Now Chika, let me ask you something. . . Did you fight the Virus Empire in their home bases?

Chika: Um, no, but. . .

Vert: Do you have Share energy that can be given to me when I am feeling weak?

Chika: Technically, no, but I can. . .

Vert: Therefore. . . do you have any experience dealing with the Virus Empire at all?

Chika pouts in disappointment.

Chika: *sighs* No. . .

Vert nods with a reassuring smile.

Vert: That's what I thought. Now can you please drop your jealousy of my ally and go fill in my tasks for me?

Chika sighs and nods really not liking the fact that she has to stay behind while I snicker at her.

(Y/N): Cheer up, Simpy Stabbers. You'll get your chance with Vert. . . maybe. . .

Chika glares at me still annoyed that I call her that. It fits her if I'm being honest.

Chika: Zip it!

She then goes up to get in my face while speaking to me quietly.

Chika: *quietly* And I swear to you that if I find that my dear Vert is dead and your alive by the time that base is taken down then I'll find you even if it kills me to try and break you with me bare hands.

I now feel really uneasy as I back up just a little from Chika's threat.

(Y/N): I-I'll. . . k-keep that in mind. . .

Chika turns her head away from me and mumbles to herself while exiting the room really frustrated as I look back at Vert who gives a nervous smile.

Vert: Sorry if she is hard to get along with (Y/N).

(Y/N): I-It's okay, Vert. S-She's just really overprotective of you for some weird reason. . .

S-Sha: Alright, let's change the subject back to where we were before. If we were to just put in small steps, what exactly is the plan?

(Y/N): Raid the base, get to the top of the tower, have Nepgear hack the reactor core to self-destruct, run like hell, we win.

S-Sha: I'll be honest. . . I don't like it. . . and I can agree with Chika that luck had to have been on your side three times in a row to take down an army like that. Still, you're the backup that's dealt with this three times, so I won't complain.

Vert then stands up with a fierce look on her face.

Vert: Well then ladies and gent, I'd say we're fully prepared and ready. Let us take back the nation that rightfully belongs to me.

We all nod from Vert's resolve as we seem ready now to take back Leanbox.

(End of Flashback)

S-Sha: It seems we're almost there. I can feel most the power from the Golden Summit from right here, so we're not far away now.

(Y/N): Got it.

Nepgear then looks down with a rather nervous look which Vert notices.

Vert: Nepgear, is something the matter?

Nepgear: Oh! N-No. . . um. . . (Y/N), can you pull to the right for a minute?

(Y/N): Huh? Sure. . .

(Y/N) steers himself to the right away from Vert and S-Sha as Nepgear talks to him.

Nepgear: Can you hear me?

(Y/N): Loud and clear.

Nepgear: It's about this base. . . Remember when we had a hunch on if they were using Anti-Crystals or not? Well. . . apparently it wasn't a hunch. . .

(Y/N): What do you mean?

Nepgear: When I was walking through Leanbox when you arrived, I wasn't really sightseeing. . . I saw an Anti-Crystal there and. . . I kind of froze. . . It gave me some bad flashbacks that I didn't want to remember myself. . . I didn't say anything because for one, we still don't know how much they even have and two. . . I didn't really want to worry anybody.

I know how Nepgear feels. It's hard to tell somebody that the enemy is using a strong weapon that they're familiar with without worrying the hell out of them. . . however, I'm not really fond of her worry so I try to ease it.

(Y/N): Let's say you're right. So what?

She then looks straight at the back of the head.

(Y/N): Thinking about how things went in the past isn't going to tell you what's happening now, Nepgear. If they do have Anti-Crystals in stock, we'll have to try our best to fight back at them. . .

Nepgear: But what about you. . .? If you get trapped in one, it could badly damage you from the inside since your blood is practically Share energy.

I look at Nepgear from behind me with a little bit of surprise.

(Y/N): (Nepgear's worried more about me than herself?)

I smile at bit before responding back to her.

(Y/N): Then we'll try our best to see if we can get through it together. No one's getting left behind in that base, Gear. Not even you. . .

Nepgear's eyes widened from that surprised to hear me say such caring words to her, but her thought was interrupted when she hears something up ahead along with the rest. . . and it was more of a beeping noise getting louder than a rumbling noise getting louder so it was obviously not a train.

Vert: Huh. That's strange. No more trains are supposed to come through here.

(Y/N): That's not a train, Vert!

The noise get's even louder as soon enough. . . we all see drones flying towards us which surprise us for a bit before we get some serious glares.

S-Sha: We got company!

Vert: And they don't appear to be giving us a proper welcome to their base!

Vert then summons out her spear out ready to fight.

Vert: This will most definitely be a rather bumpy ride!

(Y/N): I agree! Nepgear, hold on!

I say that as I summon my sword out ready to fight the drones as they all fly to our sides ready to blast some lasers at us. Vert pierces her spear into one before it can shoot while I was dealing with the other one on my side. It shoots a couple of red laser blasts at both Nepgear and I which I was able to dodge easily. I slide on closer towards the drones and try to take a swing at it, but I barely miss and Nepgear nearly tips over and falls off too.

Nepgear: Whoa! (Y-Y/N)? You have had passengers before while using this hoverboard, right?

(Y/N): Sorry, not quite often. And it's not everyday that I have to fight riding this thing either. Just hold onto me tight, okay?

Nepgear then quickly squishes herself on me and could I feel her strong grip on me, not wanting to fall making me wince in pain just a little.

(Y/N): O-Okay. . . N-Not too tight!

Nepgear: I-I'm sorry!

The drone continues it's assault on both Nepgear and I as I get closer to it again and this time once I got close enough, I smash the drone into pieces with a single strikes from the handle of my sword.

(Y/N): Is that all of them?

Vert: Not quite. . .

Vert points up ahead to see that more drones were on their way to try and slow us down from reaching the base, so both Vert and I prepare for what was coming as they all surround us. I slash at one and it falls to the ground and breaks into pieces, but when I take a look at another one, it's now starting to emit an electric field around itself, so I slow down a bit to get out of the way. Vert stands up on the back end of the motorcycle and spins her spear around before knocking one drone to the ground. She then sees herself about to hit the electric field of another as she jumps up and does a flip before landing back on her feet on the back seat of the motorcycle.

Vert: It would appear that our best bet to take on these small robot monsters from a distance, so we don't end up paralyzing ourselves!

(Y/N): Say no more!

I swap my sword out for my gun as I start to take aim for the drones before shooting a couple of them down right in front of me. It explodes just ahead of me and I make my board jump in the air a little bit which makes Nepgear yelp a little before I barely make a perfect landing, tilting to the right just a little bit.

(Y/N): You alright?!

Nepgear: I'm fine, but. . . I'm still doing the best I can to not get really nervous.

(Y/N): It's okay! I'm not going to let you fall! Worse case scenario, I'll use some of my energy so that you can turn HDD here, alright?

Nepgear holds onto me tight as she nods from that. A drone was then seen charging up it's laser at S-Sha's motorcycle and she drives over towards the middle for a plan. She pulls out her sword and it emits some electricity before S-Sha shoots a bolt of lightning towards the drone instantly making it short circuit and it explodes. As that one is exterminated, more are now starting to chase us which is now just getting ridiculous.

(Y/N): How many of these things are there?!

S-Sha: A ridiculous amount is my guess. We need to somehow take out a consecutive amount so we won't be overwhelmed.

As S-Sha says that, a couple of more drones are hunting us down making us all blink twice at them.

Nepgear: More of them?!

(Y/N): If we want to hit a bunch at a time then we need to use things like projectiles! Those drones aren't the dumb ones in a game that just let you shoot them! Nepgear!

Nepgear: Yes?

(Y/N): I know you're more use to flying rather than riding a hoverboard like this one, but I'll need you to take over a couple of times for me!

Nepgear: Wait, what?! What are you going to do?!

(Y/N): S-Sha! Can you stay even with us?!

S-Sha: How come?

(Y/N): I'm going to use both the board and the motorcycle as platforms! I'm not gonna waste too much of my power right now, so this is our best bet!

Vert: Understood! I'll provide as much cover as I can as well!

I nod from that. Boy, I knew this reactor would be challenging, but I didn't expect it to occur so fast. I jump towards the wall and I activate my watch to use just a smidge of my power to increase my speed, so that I'm going at the speed of the vehicles. I then pull out my gun as I start shooting a couple of drones that were on our tail. I then take several shots with my rifle sending a few golden blasts behind us and I was able to hit two of them. One of the drones then tried to bash itself into me, but I was able to react to this as I kick myself off of the wall and I do a flip to land on the front of S-Sha's motorcycle. Vert then notices a drone just right behind me getting ready to shoot.

Vert: (Y/N)! Jump now!

I look behind me and see the drone charging up a laser shocking and Vert calls out a move as well.

Vert: Pierce them! Sylhet Spear!

A giant spear shaped weapon appears out of nowhere and I quickly jump out of the way to allow the spear to hit it's target. As I was in the air, I noticed another drone, so I swap my gun for my sword, swing it, and use Golden Burst to make it explode along with three more. I land on my hoverboard which Nepgear was trying to commandeer. She wasn't that good at it, but she was at least able to keep her balance as I land right behind her.

Nepgear: I think we've bitten off more than we can chew!

(Y/N): Not quite!

I say that as I see a drone right behind us lined up with the rest and that gives me an idea.

(Y/N): Nepgear, I've got an idea! I'll need to use that projectile move yourself once I give you a signal! We can take them all out at once with we just work together!

Nepgear: W-Wait! Y-You're putting your trust in me to take them all out at one time! I-I'm not good at riding this thing you know!

(Y/N): Nepgear, listen! Only you can make this shot! I'm going to use only a little bit more energy now to swap with you! Once that happens, I need you to shoot that purple wave the best that you can!

I look at Vert and S-Sha and signal them to increase their speed which they nod to as S-Sha does a wheelie before heading off straight ahead of us. Nepgear sees this and looks behind her to see the amount of drones behind her and she turns back to the front with a gulp.

Nepgear: I hope this works!

(Y/N): Nepgear. . . think about how you fight with Neptune! That should be helpful, right?!

Nepgear takes a deep breath and closes her eyes before slowly nodding.

Nepgear: (Fighting with Neptune. . . Fighting with Neptune. . .)

(Y/N): You ready?

Nepgear: I. . . I think so. . .

I look at the drones behind us with a serious face.

(Y/N): Then turn right about. . . now!!

I zip off the hoverboard onto a wall to slide on it and Nepgear quickly jumps to the back to use Slash Wave which sends out a purple wave of energy destroying the drones one by one before I quickly land back on the front of the board. It wobbles a bit and Nepgear screams out in fear as she was almost about to fall of which I notice with worry. She nearly tumbles off, but I quickly grab her hand as she grimaces, bracing for impact before she suddenly noticed that she didn't hit the ground as she looks back at me as I smile at her.

(Y/N): Gotcha!

I grunt with effort to pull her back onto my speeding hoverboard and she was able to balance herself back on with a little help from me as she wraps her arms around my waist again. She looks at the ground surprised before looking back at me with the same look.

(Y/N): Are you okay?

Nepgear: I. . . I think my heart just skipped a beat.

(Y/N): I thought that always happens when CPUs like you do this kind of stuff.

Nepgear: Yes, but. . . it's my first time riding a hoverboard. . . and even being a passenger on one. You're. . . You're really great with this by the way.

(Y/N): Lots of practice. And the last I wanted was for you to fall and get left behind to get blasted by those flying bugbots. If you fell, it would worry Vert and even me too.

Nepgear loosens her grip on me for a second and stares at me from behind.

Nepgear: (H-He was worried if I would fall that whole time. . . So he really does think about my well-being. . .)

Nepgear lets out a rather shy smile with a blush on her face and she hugs me from behind which gives me mild astonishment that she did that so suddenly. I look at her from the corner of my eye for a second before I slowly smile back at her and I look back ahead to go and catch up with S-Sha and Vert.

Vert's P.O.V.

Location: Leanbox, Virus Empire Base

Time: Night

It looks like we have finally reached our destination as S-Sha slows the motorcycle to a stop and both (Y/N) and Nepgear arrive right behind us as well. We all jump off our respective vehicles and look up at the. . . extremely large tower that looked even taller than the Golden Summit if I was being honest.

Vert: So our enemy is hiding in here, I presume?

(Y/N): Yeah. . . I don't even know if getting here was the easy part now. . . A tower this big would go quicker if had someone like a blue bomber robot with us.

Nepgear: It's bigger than a skyscraper. . . We're very lucky that this is out of the city. If we blow this thing down it would possibly cause collateral damage.

S-Sha: Collateral damage is the last thing you should be concerned about right now.

(Y/N): As cold as that is. . . S-Sha is right. . . You remember when I said that you won't be able to transform, right? Well. . .

Vert: Whoa! You're right! It's as if my Shares have exponentially disappeared. Is this the power coming from the reactor core?

(Y/N): Yeah, I don't where it is, but. . . it's most likely located at the top of the tower. I mean if I played any games, most of the treasure is located at the top anyway. . .

Suddenly as my fellow fighter says that, we all hear some rather unpleasant and creepy laugh coming from somewhere as we look around for it while pulling our weapons in case we have to fight.

???: You're a quick thinker kid. . . You all are the most perfect subjects for my little experiment.

Nepgear: E-Experiment??

Vert: Show yourself this instant!

Suddenly the voice from the man, quickly appeared in front of our eyes at the front entrance of the reactor which shocks us. This man in a suit appears to be the general that (Y/N) was referring too.

(Y/N): Come to face us already, have you asshole?!

General Malware: Everybody. . . please don't show any hostility. . . Yet.

S-Sha: And why would we do that?

General Malware: You four literally took down the drones that I sent to kill you. . . You're perfect for my creations! Perfect!

Nepgear: Perfect? Creations?

Nepgear walks over to (Y/N) as she was confused as all of us.

Nepgear: Were the last two generals anything like this?

(Y/N): Not even close. . . This guy is more. . . chill? Laid-back? Reminds me of Nep.

I decide to let down my guard and approach the general of this base to just talk.

Vert: Please explain your motive. From what I see so far, you don't look like you want to even fight us.

General Malware: I don't. . . Yet.

(Y/N): And you're clearly showing a lot of cryptic intentions too. . .

General Malware: I am. . . for now.

(Y/N): *rolls eyes* Where are you going with this?

General Malware: Seeing how you all are very skilled fighters. . . I've got a game for you~

Did he just say the word that I think that he did? Those no way that I would've missed the word game in that sentence as this general now has my attention.

Vert: A game you say?

General Malware: Indeed, my busty CPU lady.

That would be flattering if my friends were to call me that, but coming from the enemy. . . not so much as I narrow my eyes at him.

General Malware: This place is filled and I mean FILLED with obstacles and challenges that I set up specifically for all of you. As the young boy stated, that reactor is up at the top of the tower. You want it? Well, you're going to play through my games first.

(Y/N) & S-Sha: We're not interested in your games!

The both of them look at each other when they said that simultaneously as S-Sha raises an eyebrow and (Y/N) before looking back at the general.

General Malware: Oh, but you will. . . *chuckles* Or maybe later on you won't? Time will tell.

He clears his throat as he starts pacing back and forth with his arms behind his back.

General Malware: I've gathered many monsters in here ranging from Dogoos, Ancient Dragons, Robots, and even more through this tower. You're task. . .? Defeat every single one of those monster till the room is clean of them. Then you move onto the next floor. Simple enough, right? I couldn't trust our soldiers to give you the proper encouragement to move on since their not so. . . how would I say it. . . "automated" compared to normal monsters.

Vert: I'll be honest that all sounds rather enjoyable like a game that we played a few days ago together. Sadly, we are not here to play. You are stealing the Shares that rightfully belong to a goddess.

Nepgear: Right! You're putting CPUs like us in danger just for your games. . .?!

General Malware: Technically. . . "You're" the one putting them in danger for not going after that reactor core at the tippy top of the tower.

Vert: As much of a gentleman and charming as you compared to what (Y/N) told me about the rest of your friends, we are in no way going to be affiliated with those who cause Gamindustri harm by taking our shares.

(Y/N): So if you don't mind now. . .

We all pull out our weapons again and get into a fighting stance.

(Y/N): Get the hell out of our way!

The general just looks at all of us before shaking his head.

General Malware: You four think you've got it all figured out, don't you?

He then lifts one of his hands up and we anticipated for what he is about to unleash, but unexpectedly once he takes the action of snapping his fingers. . .

In the blink of an eye, we are all transported onto some large court with a couple of holes that sounded like they were filled with lava. This shocked us to great extent that the general was able to do something as powerful as that and I walk towards one of the pits to see that the lava was. . . red and bubbly like the Virus Empire themselves.

Vert: Um, (Y/N)? Does this ring any bells to you?

(Y/N): N-No. . . Did he just. . . I mean. . . You saw that, right?!

Nepgear: We were just outside! Where are we now?!

S-Sha: Past the front entrance. . .

We all look at S-Sha as she was staring at the place where we were suppose to enter the base before, but it appears that this general put us in here with a different method of his own.

S-Sha: He teleported us in here.

General Malware: Correct!

We all turn to one side of the court to see General Malware walking right in front of us again. If he has powers to teleport us in here, then I don't know if I should be intrigued or worried of what other abilities that he has.

General Malware: Ha ha! You're here, so. . . it's too late to turn back now!

He claps his hands and the entrance vanishes right in front of our eyes making us flinch in shock.

General Malware: Oh. . . Do my powers astonish you? Well. . . I don't blame you. I should've said from the start that I'm the more unique type apart from the other generals. I'm not that cliché kind of general who puts his own army to the test, but rather. . . you to the test. And since it's a test, we can't have any cheaters can we? Winners are winners, losers are losers.

S-Sha: I'm not interested in your monologue. Get to the point already.

General Malware: This level will be easy. . . I'll know when you're done. All you've got to do is. . .

He snaps his fingers and suddenly we hear sounds coming from behind us and now there are a bunch of Dogoos and two Ancient Dragons looking down towards us as we all stare at it. . . not only that, but it looked completely different from a normal one. . . it was a Viral version along with the Dogoos as their colors changed and everything.

Nepgear: Th-Those are. . . Viral monsters, right?

(Y/N): Wait? Viral monsters?

Vert: You've probably seen many monsters out in dungeons, (Y/N). However, these are much more dangerous for a normal person to even handle. Sometimes monsters will go psychotic and their power will increase immensely making it tough to beat.

That's when a strange contradiction hit me as I look over to glare at the general.

Vert: You call a bunch of monsters that are affected by Viruses, easy??

General Malware: Is that a problem?

(Y/N): What do you think dumbass? Of course it is!

General Malware: *chuckles* Sorry. Your loss~

He then vanishes in the blink of an eye and we all miss him before we turn back towards the monsters approaching us. All of us get into a fighting position ready to take down these monsters that are twice as strong.

(Y/N): Damn it!

Vert: We'll have to deal with that general later! Let's face off against these guys and play his game. . . for now.

(Y/N) looks at me and nods still a little bit annoyed that this general is manipulating us into playing his games that he acts as if it were so simple. I'll be honest. . . I'm annoyed too, but that doesn't mean I'm going to let that in the way of showing the general my own pride of just what Leanbox's CPU can do. Viral Dogoos were hopping towards us clearly wanting to suffocate us in slime. I also see the Viral Ancient Dragons as well. Looking back and forth at them gives me a plan.

Vert: It would be more wise to take out the more weaker enemies so we can conserve the energy we need to take out the big ones, no?

S-Sha: Agreed! Go for the Dogoos! Once those are clear, we can try and take out those dragons!

Nepgear and (Y/N) complies with as we all scatter about on the field taking on our opponents one by one. I see a Dogoo getting ready to hop at me and once it did, I swat it away like a bug knocking it back towards the ground. However, it appears that it was still fine as it hops back up to still face me once more.

Vert: (These things are definitely buffed as we predicted. . . Very well. I outrange them from all directions, so this shouldn't be too much of a hassle.)

Another Viral Dogoo tries to launch itself at me as I put up my guard to block it before kicking it away into one of the pits that the general had as an obstacle. After it sees that it's friend was taken out, the same Viral Dogoo that attacked me once leaps up at me from behind and hits me in the back. I nearly fall to the ground as that strength was twice the power of what a normal Dogoo would have. I then turn and charge back straight at it to counterattack and I pierce the Dogoo into oblivion.

I then look over to my side to see how the others were doing and they looked as if they were fighting harder that they thought as well. I decide to take a look at (Y/N) fighting as he had his guard up while facing a Dogoo taking steps slowly around it to see if it would make a move. Once the Dogoo tries to strike him, (Y/N) rolls off to the side before swinging his sword all around himself twice as a spin attack slicing it up in an instant. I am simply charmed by a young man who goes through this kind of fighting just for someone like me. I smile at his fighting as I walk over to him.

Vert: Impressive~

He looks at me with a smile and chuckles as he rubs of the back of his head getting complimented by me. We then look to see the others defeating their round of Dogoos as Nepgear just defeated her last one. However, my eyes widened as I suddenly see an Ancient Dragon right behind her getting ready to take a swipe at her and so does (Y/N).

(Y/N): Nepgear! Watch it!

She takes a look behind her and she dives out of the way of the giant monster before running over to regroup with us along with S-Sha.

S-Sha: That's the last of the Dogoos, but. . .

We all look at those corrupted Ancient Dragons as Nepgear took one step back.

Nepgear: I-I know we worse and all, but. . . those Ancient Dragons do look really scary.

(Y/N): Well unless we beat them, that bastard general is not going to even let us pass here and get to the reactor core!

S-Sha: And seeing that this is just Level 1. . . it would be wasteful to use energy now as seeing this tall of a tower, it wouldn't surprise me if there were more such as ten. We have to deal with them quickly! Anybody got any ideas!

Nepgear looks around at the pits before getting an idea.

Nepgear: The lava! If we just dropped them inside, it should take them both out instantly, right?

We all look at each other and nod agreeing with my little sister's plan.

Vert: That seems logical. Guiding the enemy into a trap that's blatantly set for us.

Those dragons then roar as we take a look back at them and see that they are not happy at all. (Y/N) then swaps his sword for his rifle and takes a couple of shots at it, but while the shots hit the dragons, they did not flinch an inch. . . Hehe, I just made a rhyme.

(Y/N): We're going to have to split up into pairs and guide them to those lava pits quickly!

Vert: Come, Nepgear! Let us sisters give our skills the proper test against these foul creatures!

Nepgear: Um. . . Vert, I'm not your sister, but okay. . .

Nepgear and I split apart from (Y/N) and S-Sha as the two deal with the Ancient Dragon on their side. (Y/N) looks at S-Sha with a serious look.

(Y/N): I'll be the diversion! Once it's close enough, knock it into the pit!

S-Sha nods with a grunt as she runs off to go around the dragon while (Y/N) points his gun at the monster again.

(Y/N): Hey, ugly!

He takes a couple of shots at the dragon as he now has it's complete attention and the large monster roars before it flies up into the air. (Y/N) looks behind him to see that the pit was just right behind him, so he needed to be careful himself when distracting the Viral Dragon. The dragon dives down towards (Y/N) as he swaps his gun for his sword and the dragon tries to take a swipe at him with it's claws. (Y/N) blocks it, but he was knocked back just near the edge of one of the pits. The dragon then stomps the ground which catches (Y/N) off guard as he falls to the floor. The dragon then tries to take another swipe at (Y/N), but he eyes S-Sha coming from just behind the dragon. To make it turn around, (Y/N) uses his gun to shoot a blast past the dragon's face as it looked past itself before seeing S-Sha right above itself.

(Y/N) moves out of the way and S-Sha takes a few rapid slashes of her sword at the dragon's face knocking it back before (Y/N) runs around to the front of the dragon and he uses Golden Knuckle to punch it straight into the pit, incinerating the beast in the process. S-Sha walked over to (Y/N) who smiles at her.

(Y/N): You know. . . for somebody who's disinterested in a lot of things, you sure put up a good fight with monsters.

S-Sha looks at (Y/N) for a second before she simply gives a small smirk and turns around.

S-Sha: It's what Gold Third is capable of. . .

She then stops for a second.

S-Sha: I'd say that you're adequate at holding your own as well, but. . .

She looks over her shoulder with her same neutral expression again.

S-Sha: I'm not really interested in your fighting style.

(Y/N) doesn't respond to that with anything as he just shrugs his shoulders before following S-Sha to go and help Nepgear and me with the other dragon that were facing. We were on the opposite sides of the dragon guiding it towards another pit as I jump at and swing my spear at it's back to knock it forwards. It turns to me, but Nepgear slashes it's leg making this Viral Dragon turn back to her clearly annoyed that it's being overwhelmed by both of us. It then walks a bit of a distance towards Nepgear bringing it closer to the pit as I call out to her.

Vert: That should be close enough, Nepgear!

Nepgear: Right!

Vert: I believe that it is time that we show just how quick and powerful our sisterly bond is!

Nepgear: I'm. . . Actually, never mind. She'll probably still just ignore me. . .

Vert: Show me just how quick you are in a high speed battle, Nepgear!

I jump up getting prepared to do an attack. Nepgear looks up at me before she gasps in realization of what I was referring to.

Nepgear: Okay, Vert! I'm ready!

Nepgear does the same and the two of us then activate a move that is only kept between us sisters. We do a move that we like to call Broken Fannings as I take the first strike at the dragon while Nepgear takes the next. The dragon was now confused on who to attack as Nepgear and I look at each other with determined smiles and nodded. We kept our assault going, taking turns hitting our foe, one attack after another from opposite sides spinning the dragon in circles. It was finally dizzy and Nepgear runs over to me.

Nepgear: Let's match our timing right with this one!

Both of us take off at the same time and we launch ourselves simultaneously at the dragon's torso kicking it into where it shall see oblivion. I thought we had won, but not before the dragon decides to try and grab Nepgear making me completely frightened before suddenly, (Y/N) pulls Nepgear out of the way only allowing it to grab the ledge. I was not happy that this brute tried to take my younger sister with it into the lava as I quickly stabbed all of it's fingers in a quick manner making it let go and it falls inside causing a small splash of lava to emerge telling me that it went in. I then walk over to the others as we all look around.

(Y/N): No more monsters spawning from Malware's creepy powers.

Vert: Then I suppose that it'll do it here for. . . Level 1. Although it hardly felt like a Level 1. Even the most basic beginners should find a level like a Level 1 easy.

(Y/N): I would agree, but remember. . . this is the base of the Virus Empire. They're going to try their best to take us on by surprise in everyway.

S-Sha: True. So what should we expect now?

(Y/N): This guy is different so I don't entirely know. Still, something like a bonus round right now would grind my gears.

Nepgear: I know. . . Goodness. . . If we didn't have those lava pits to drag in those Ancient Dragons, then we'd probably run out of way more stamina than we are already.

Vert: I know what you mean. I was intending to get serious once we face the protector of this reactor core, but it appears it wasn't just me who had to use some of the power that I was saving.

(Y/N): Good thing is. . . everybody is still present. . . even if things did get intense.

Nepgear then taps (Y/N) on the shoulder and he turns to her as she was blushing just a bit while rubbing her arm.

Nepgear: S-Speaking of which, y-you saved me. . . twice that is. Um. . . would it be weird for me to ask for a hug?

My eyes widen before I smirked as I feel as though Nepgear may like this one more than she even realizes. . . I won't lie, (Y/N) is indeed a handsome young man, but for him to catch the eye of my younger sister as well. (Y/N) simply stares and S-Sha raises an eyebrow.

Nepgear: Th-That is if. . . um. . . A-A-Actually, never mind! Forget that I-

Suddenly, (Y/N) just hugs Nepgear and chuckles, surprising her as it made her freeze up before she lets out a rather small smile and slowly hugs (Y/N) back. They held it for a brief moment before letting it go.

Nepgear: Thank you, (Y/N). Really. . . First you saved my sister and. . . now you saved me twice.

Vert: *giggles* Well, I don't find him to be quite the knight just yet.

Nepgear: Not you, Vert. . .

I clear my throat.

Vert: In any case, we are all grateful that you're looking out for all of us, (Y/N). You must be like a guardian or a saint.

(Y/N): I'm just making sure that everybody and emphasis on "everybody" makes it out here alive. Both CPU and Gold Third.

S-Sha: Sorry to kill the mood, but we really shouldn't be getting all sentimental or celebrating early either. We've still got a tower on top of us that we need to bring down.

Nepgear: Sorry, you're right. . . Now where is Level 2?

Suddenly, we all heard an intercom go off around the entire field making us put up our guard.

General Malware (Speaker): Haha! Excellent! Congratulations challengers! But don't get too excited yet as that was only Level 1. . . of 255!

The moment that we all heard that gigantic number, all of our eyes shrunk to points in both surprise and terror.

All: WHAT?!

General Malware (Speaker): I see your smiles~

Vert: Um. . . I do not feel or appear to be smiling at this very moment if I'm being honest. . .

General Malware (Speaker): Now all you have to do is go through that door. . .

A door suddenly appears out of nowhere right on one of the walls of the court surprising us.

General Malware (Speaker): And show off some more of those pleasant skills! I'm looking forward to seeing them. . .

(Y/N): Screw that!! You expect us to complete 255 levels up to the top of this thing?!

(Y/N) got no answer from that which annoyed him.

(Y/N): Malware! Get the hell out here right now!

Vert: I don't think he'll answer you. . . I don't think that he can hear you right now either. . . that just appeared to be a normal speaker message that he his "game" was given to us.

(Y/N): Well there's is NO way in hell that I'm doing levels that are the same amount as a game with a yellow circle that eats pellets for lunch!

S-Sha: Then we need to find another angle. . . Get to the top without doing all of this game business.

Nepgear: This whole place is covered up from going outside though. The walls are most likely made of steel, so breaking our way out isn't an option.

Vert: Perhaps there may be a way for us to rig the system.

(Y/N): How do you mean?

Vert: I spot cheaters nearly every week that I play 4 Goddesses Online. Most of the time they get away with it, so if this is a game then we should be able to cheat our way to the top too.

Nepgear: I don't know. . . If Malware finds out that we're cheating then he's not going to be happy.

(Y/N) turns to Nepgear with a serious look on his face.

(Y/N): Nepgear, I could care WAY less on how that asshole feels about his game! Plus, we're just trying to get Leanbox's Shares back up and running! We're not here to actually complete this game!

Vert: *chuckles* You know. . . that's kind of ironic considering that this game series has been going on for over a decade and the main objective is to complete the game. . . which is kind of what we thought we were doing from the start.

I continue to laugh a little at my little meta statement, but the rest just shoot me looks that told me that they were not amused in the slightest, so I stopped my laughter and cleared my throat.

Vert: Ahem. Not the time?

(Y/N): At least you know when to stop, Vert.

Nepgear: Getting back to this entire place. . . How will we rig the system and get to the top?

S-Sha: The only through this place for now is that door. Perhaps it may lead us to the next level and we can somehow change how we progress.

Vert: Hmm. . . I suppose that is the only choice that we have at the moment.

All of us walk and go up right in front of the door and (Y/N), being the bold one decides to reach out to the knob and he opens it for all of us to find some sort of red swirly portal that has to transport us to the next level. We all look at each other confused before (Y/N) sticks his arm inside to feel anything and seeing that the coast was clear to him, he pulls his arm back out.

(Y/N): Nothing that I can make out about this thing so far.

S-Sha: If this wormhole will take us to the next level then we should find a way to change it's output.

(Y/N) then thinks for a second.

(Y/N): That may have given me an idea. If the Virus Empire changes whatever we make from Shares. . . like how I can let you all transform by giving you the said energy. . .

Nepgear and I catch on to (Y/N)'s plan as our eyes widened.

Nepgear: Then with your watch. . . you should be able to change whatever the Virus Empire creates too.

S-Sha: Well, get to it then.

(Y/N) nods as he looks down at his watch and he presses on it a couple of times before he emits a large bright (F/C) aura around both of his arms which made us shield our eyes a bit and he blasts a small beam from his hands that goes around the portal making it overlap in the same color. (Y/N) grunts a bit letting out a considerable amount of energy before eventually. . . the poral now appears to where we want to go which made me and my little sister smile widely.

Nepgear: It worked!

(Y/N) releases his aura and falls to the ground breathing heavily a bit. I walk up to him and over him a hand up which he accepts.

Vert: It appears that Histoire made the correct choice to send you over to me, (Y/N). I really do not know why we don't have more soldiers or warriors like you here in Leanbox. A young man has shown to be courageous, bold, and intelligent enough to turn any roadblock that we come across into a path that we can just walk through.

(Y/N) blushes as he rubs the back of his head feeling embarrassed. It was rather cute.

(Y/N): G-Geez, Vert. . . I'm not that special.

Vert: No need to be so modest. I'm telling the truth for what I say about you. And you are indeed special, remember that alright?

(Y/N): *nods* Definitely.

We then turn to the now (F/C) colored portal with determined looks.

(Y/N): Come on! We've got a reactor to shut down and some Shares that Vert needs replenished!

(Y/N) walks through the portal as we all follow suit to go where it will take us.

Third P.O.V.

Location: Virus Reactor Base, Reactor Core

In a long corridor where the reactor core is plainly seen, General Malware is leaning against a wall with a smug grin on his face as if he just won something. However, that smile quickly turns into a frown as he hears something and stands up to look around before he turns to the other end of the corridor to see a portal pop up and out came our four heroes staring down at Malware looking serious as he was just speechless.

General Malware: No! No, no, no, no! Wait, wait, wait! Hold up! There is NO possible that you four could've gotten up here so quickly! I mean. . . I don't feel Level 2 or. . . Level 255 complete! Wait! You rigged something in some way didn't you?!

Malware clearly wasn't happy with the gang, but they didn't care at all.

(Y/N): Yeah, we cheated! So what?!

General Malware: So what. . .? So what?! I made this game for all of you! And you all. . . you all CHEATED!

S-Sha: It's as I said before. We're not interested in your games!

Vert: In fact, none of us are!

(Y/N): All we're here for. . . is to take back Leanbox's Shares! No cuts, no buts, and definitely no rigged games!

General Malware: R-Rigged?!

(Y/N): You never said anything about there being a Level 255 or that we had to fight some monsters that you guys infected!

Nepgear: We're not going to fall for your tricks any longer! Step aside so we can get to that reactor!

General Malware was surprised for a second before it turns to anger as he growls in frustration under his helmet.

General Malware: I should've known you imbeciles would find a way up since all four of you were together! Don't you get it?! In a game, the winners are winners and the losers are losers! Like the geeky girl right there!

Nepgear's eyes widened from that as she took a step back.

Nepgear: W-What?

General Malware: I can tell when you're also about to lose the fight too! She was mere moments away from that lava trap! You should've let her fall!

(Y/N), Vert, and even S-Sha did not like that comment as they defended Nepgear.

(Y/N): Are you kidding me?! Nepgear is as good as ANY of us here!

Vert: That is correct! She has just as much right to be standing with us right here in front of you! I will not forgive you for making such a rude comment to my lovely sister!

S-Sha: If that was the plan then you should've thought of that before! Not that we would let it happen anyway!

Nepgear smiles from the kind words that her friends gave her as she glares back at Malware.

General Malware: But the game was-

(Y/N): We're DONE with your game! You can shove that word up your ass!

Malware then starts yelling in frustration as raises a fist as if ready for combat. (Y/N), Vert, Nepgear, and S-Sha all pull out their weapons and glare down at Malware as he's still frustrated, but he suddenly clams down a bit as he lowers his fist confusing the four. He then takes a deep breath and walk a little bit towards the reactor.

General Malware: Fine. . . I'll give you all a second chance. Turn back now and I'll only allow Level 255 to be completed. However. . . if you take one more step. . .

He then let's out a rather mischievous laugh before putting his hands behind his back.

General Malware: Then I swear. . . you all are going to have a really, REALLY bad time. And that's just an understatement.

Nobody moved for a second as they all turned their head to each other having the same idea as (Y/N) and Vert both put their foot down, forward which makes Malware sigh while shaking his head.

General Malware: Well, sorry old lady. . . That's why I don't make promises.

Vert: I would suggest that you refrain from underestimating us as we are a resilient group of individuals.

General Malware: True, but how long can you keep that resilience up is the million credit question. *chuckles* I suppose we'll see. . .

Vert: (Y/N). . . Now is the time.

(Y/N): Got it! One dose of Share energy coming up, Vert!

(Y/N) glows his hands and get's ready to pass his energy to Vert. . . but something weird happens.

In the blink of an eye, Vert vanishes from where (Y/N) was standing with Nepgear and S-Sha as they were surprised too.

(Y/N): V-Vert?!

Vert: Huh???

All of them look to their right to see that Vert was now farther down the long hall as they all looked at each other bewildered.

Vert: I thought I was-

Before Vert could get another word out of her mouth, she get's a punch to the face by none other than Malware sending her flying back towards the group, screaming in pain too. Vert slides down on her back as Nepgear runs up to her.

Nepgear: Vert!

Vert groans before sitting up confused by what just happened.

Vert: But I know that was just right beside (Y/N). . . How did that happen?

Malware chuckles from the distance as everybody glares at him.

General Malware: I told you. . . In places like these, CPUs like you. . . should be burning in hell!

Vert stands back up with a little help from Nepgear as everybody stares Malware down with angered looks on their faces. They each raise their respective weapons and point them at Malware has his puts his hand right in front of himself to gesture for his foes to come at him. No one moved for a single minute until the squeak of one's shoe could be heard on the ground. With that sound going off, (Y/N) charged head on towards Malware who just stays in his spot as (Y/N) comes at him with his sword. When (Y/N) takes a swing though. . . Malware suddenly is now an inch to the side of where (Y/N) strikes.

(Y/N) looks to the side as Malware just gives him a wave with his fingers as (Y/N) goes flying right past him rolling across the ground. Vert sees this with shock before she goes to try and attack Malware herself as she tries using Rainy Ratnapura on Malware, but he was able to dodge all of the fast strikes that she was trying to put on him. Malware then teleports besides Vert which made her gasp as Malware throws her a peace sign before punching Vert hard in the stomach knocking her away at (Y/N) as they both fall and tumble across the floor.

Malware then notices Nepgear coming his way as she tries to attack him with Mirage Dance, but he simply teleports away from each swing she took with her skill and he even leans back nearly 90 degrees as if copying a move from a movie with evil cyber intelligence. Nepgear kept missing all of her attacks as Malware jumps back and the eyes on his helmet glow red as he extends his fist out towards S-Sha. Nepgear looks behind her and points behind S-Sha.

Nepgear: S-Sha! Look out!

S-Sha looks behind her to see that suddenly, a tall wall of laser beams were coming her way and she does a huge flip over one of them before she notices another and she does the exact same thing. . . until one more came and she barely high jumps over this one to not make the best landing and she slides across the ground. (Y/N) then runs right in front of her and heads towards Malware again as he gestures his hand upwards and (Y/N) hears a crackle to then look down and see something coming up beneath him, so he jumps out of the way to see that they were large red spikes. He then does a cartwheel jump to avoid another as he was shocked from Malware having this kind of power.

(Y/N): Holy shit! Did you get these powers from some kind of corny skeleton or something?

General Malware: Less talk about me. . . more talk about how your sins are going to be crawling on your back in a second!

Suddenly, a large floating red cannon appeared right beside Malware as he aims it towards (Y/N) who sees it and he dodges just in time to avoid a large laser that went right past him. He wasn't going to let that get him down though as he even jumps over more spikes that got in his way before he jumps over the next laser and he lands on top of the cannon to try and come down on Malware with a flip as he had his sword extended. Malware tilts his head as he just steps to the side to let (Y/N) roll past him.

He then sees Nepgear coming at him as he ducks under a sword slash before hitting her with a punching combo to do a little bit of damage before using telekinesis to slam her against the ceiling. Nepgear thought she was going to fall, but she was able to simply stand up on the ceiling which shocks her.

Nepgear: H-He can invert gravity too?!

Vert: It appears that you planned to not reveal out powers until we got up here!

General Malware: Actually, this "boss" level was supposed to easier than what I'm currently making you all go through, but since you all repaid me by cheating, I suppose I'll stop playing by the rules too!

Vert looks to see that a cannon was about to blast her as she jumps out of the way to avoid it. Malware looks upwards and Nepgear looks up her way to see that the ceiling was cracking which confused her. (Y/N) and S-Sha in the meantime were dealing with Canker's next obstacle which was a bunch of red glowing blades trying to stab them. (Y/N) hears the noise and looks up at Nepgear before gasping.

(Y/N): Nepgear! Jump!

Nepgear heard that as she softly gasps before jumping as high up as she can, avoiding some spikes that came from the ceiling. Malware sees Nepgear dodging the spikes as he thought that he could throw her off by inverting her gravity to the side, but Nepgear was able to avoid more spikes as well coming from those angles, even when lowered back to the ground she was able to avoid it.

Malware was dealing with all four of heroes at once and to his frustration, they were all holding their own against his power. He was not amused as he tried thinking of a way to disconnect them all like dominoes. He looks up at Nepgear still jumping all over the place to avoid the spikes giving Malware an idea as he pauses Nepgear's gravitational pull for a second which throws her off and she trips to the side of a wall making Malware smile evilly under his helmet. Nepgear gasps before she was pierced by a ton of spikes prompting a loud scream from her which get's the rest of the crew's attention as they gasp seeing Nepgear stabbed by that many spike as the went through her arms, shoulders, and legs. She falls to the ground nearly unconscious.

(Y/N): Nepgear!!!

That alarm was enough to throw (Y/N) off guard as he got a couple of blades pierced on his body which made him fall to the ground in pain while blood was coming out of him as he drops his sword too. Vert got caught off guard too as a cannon blasts her which sends her flying towards S-Sha as she grunts in pain. Meanwhile, (Y/N) sees Nepgear to his side and reaches out for her before he a cannon right behind her making him gasp before he glares at Malware who wags his finger.

General Malware: Naughty, naughty~

(Y/N) then goes to try and reach for his sword before he also notices another cannon pointed right towards him. He looks back and forth between his weapon and Nepgear as now he was in a pinch.

General Malware: What's it going to be boy? I know you're weapon is right there, but. . . I don't mind killing the wimpy CPU girl either.

(Y/N): (Dammit! This is a freakin' Telltale games situation now!)

Vert and S-Sha got up and tried to go and save their friends, but Malware blocks their path by multiplying a lot of blasters around the two younger ones in a circle. (Y/N) was breathing heavily as with his wounds right now, he was getting kind of weak so he had to gamble for this. Malware slowly raises his hand up as a blaster was charging up where Nepgear is in order for him to kill her. (Y/N) slowly stands up and looks at Malware and slowly narrows his eyes at him.

(Y/N): (You. . . bastard!)

Malware then closes his hand into a fist which starts to activate the blaster where Nepgear was and (Y/N) takes the action of. . . picking up Nepgear bridal style as he moves out of the way of one of the cannons, only to run away from more cannons that was trying to blast him. Nepgear wakes up slightly as she sees the situation that she was in as holds onto (Y/N) wrapping her arms around his neck. After running in circles a couple of times, (Y/N) sees that Vert and S-Sha were able to destroy a couple of the cannons as the green goddess picks up (Y/N)'s sword and throws him his weapon.

He sets Nepgear down on the ground before jumping up to catch it and now the three who were still able to fight charge at Malware again, but Malware lifts them all up at once off of the ground, Nepgear included as he pulls them towards his face.

General Malware: I think that's far enough. . . for all of you!

He says as the eyes on his helmet glow red and he slams the four to a wall before throwing them behind him while making spikes appear from ground to the ceiling while he was also teleporting them back at the wall over and over, so they would have to repeat it in loop a couple of times while they went flying. Eventually, Malware got tired of it so he slams them back onto the wall which injured all four. They then all slowly fell to the ground as well struggling to stand. Vert however looks up and glares at Malware who crosses his arms waiting to see if Vert will still stand up to him even after taking a lot of damage.

Vert picks up her spear and quickly runs at Malware to try and stab him with her spear which Malware was able to dodge in the just the nick of time. Vert wasn't even close to done as she tries to swing her spear at him again, which Malware dodges as well. Vert continuously kept attacking with whatever left she got and as she does, Malware summons a blade and stabs Vert in the leg with it weakening her as she grunts a bit. This didn't stop her assault though as she still kept attacking.

Malware just kept teleporting and dodging and continued piercing Vert with blades as he knows that with Virus energy inside of them, she getting weaker and weaker by the second. Vert didn't much left in her, but she still kept swinging even if there was now five blades sticking into her body. Her attacks were now too weak as she was breathing heavily and Malware puts a blade in his hand as he finally parries a strike from Vert. . . and he slices a wound in her torso making her scream out in pain as she drops her spear and falls to the ground really wounded now.

(Y/N): VERT!

Malware smirks seeing that he has Vert clearly weakened and unable to fight. She was breathing heavily with a large cut in the middle of her stomach. Malware snaps his fingers to make the blade in his hand disappear.

General Malware: That look on your face. . . it appears to be an expression of a woman who looks as if she is about to experience her final moments as a CPU.

He chuckles as he starts to walk around Vert who just watches Malware with a worried expression.

General Malware: You CPUs. . . and I'll be honest. . . you're not bad rulers at all. . . but the thing that you lack compared to us. . . is that we're more skilled in bringing order to people. I'm a forgiving kind of guy though compared to my comrades. I gave you a choice to turn back and I promised I would go more easy on you once you completed the designated level I assigned. . . but you still resort to cheating. . .

He then snaps his fingers and conjures up something else entirely and what Vert sees next brings a complete shock to her. . .

Malware had a red glowing crystal in a X shape and he levitates it above his palm. Even the rest who were seeing this was in shock.

(Y/N): Is that a. . .

Nepgear: It's an Anti-Crystal! That does more than prevent us from going HDD! It can possibly put a CPU out of commission if they don't even have a glimpse of Share energy! After that attack if Vert gets hit with that. . .

S-Sha: *grunts* I can't fight anymore. . . This guy pushed us to our limit. . .

(Y/N) tries to get up like S-Sha, but he was only able to get one knee up off of the ground as he looks straight up ahead at Malware as he continues talking to Vert.

General Malware: It appears that you and your friends have gone pale at the sight of these Anti-Crystals. . . while they aren't technically filled with Virus energy. . . they do emit a similar energy to drain a CPU's power.

Malware floats the Anti-Crystal closer to Vert as she suddenly started feeling a shock to her body and she screams in pain from how close that crystal is to her.

Nepgear: Please stop!

(Y/N): You bastard! Leave Vert alone!

Malware ignores their comments as he keeps torturing the CPU with the Anti-Crystal with a sadistic smile under his helmet. After a little longer of Vert being in agony, Malware stopped what he was doing and floats it back up to his calm. Vert was in so much pain from the crystal doing so much damage to her that she could hardly move on the ground.

General Malware: Your pain is. . . rather invigorating to me.

He then kneels down at Vert right in front of her face.

General Malware: I hope you really do understand that our kind is more capable than you are. Don't worry. . . I'll take great care of Leanbox and your citizens too.

Malware stands back up as he takes a step back as well before looking down at Vert and he extends his arm out to her.

General Malware: You were such a fascinating CPU. . . Green Heart.

S-Sha, Nepgear, and (Y/N) were trying their best to move so they could save as she was mere moments away from getting that Anti-Crystal through her wound.

Nepgear: Vert!! No!!

S-Sha tries to pick up her sword and do something, but it was too far for her reach. (Y/N) sends a furious glare up to where Malware had Vert and as he lifts the crystal up, (Y/N)'s body was able to stand which surprises Nepgear and S-Sha. The crystal then starts to rocket down towards Vert as her eyes widened in fear that she is about to lose. She braces for impact, but suddenly. . .

*SLASH*

(Y/N) jumps right in front of Vert and was able to catch the Anti-Crystal with both of his hands which shocks both Malware and Vert. Blood was then dripping down in (Y/N)'s palms as he drops the Anti-Crystal on the ground. Malware was still in shock, but it turns into amusement as he takes a step back to then see (Y/N) fall to his knees.

General Malware: Wow kid. . . either you're foolish *chuckles* . . .or you're foolish. I think I'll pick both answers though. . . Aren't they the same? Correct. You're just foolish.

(Y/N) then glares back up at Malware as he struggles to speak.

(Y/N): *weakly* I'll. . . be the one. . . to judge your place. . . of who exactly you're dealing with here. . .

General Malware: You did it again? Ha! When will you learn that your sacrifices don't mean anything in this cruel world? It's all a game like I said. . . the winners are who live and the losers are who die. Why did you to protect this CPU even now? She's clearly in no condition at all to move.

(Y/N): *weakly* It's. . . the same exact reason. . . I saved. . . Neptune. . . Uni. . . Blanc. . . and Nepgear too. . . They're all my friends.

General Malware: Friends? Pffft! That's a lie! All this is some competition to see who lives and the excuse that you come up with. . . is that she's your friend? That's honestly so funny that I forgot to laugh. Oh, wait. . . no I didn't. . .

He starts to laugh and (Y/N) was getting furious at this as his hair covers his eyes and he balls up his fists and in just a millisecond. . . Malware got a huge punch to the face faster than he could react which shocks him a bit as that was faster than he had anticipated. He feels the side of his face hurt and was now dumbfounded.

General Malware: What the hell. . .?!

(Y/N): You dumbasses keep talking shit about how I'm so inferior to the CPUs. . . but guess what?!

He then lifts his eyes up to show that they were now glowing blue.

(Y/N): I'm not going to feel that way any longer!!! I've met Vert and I told that I was here to protect not just Gamindustri. . . but CPUs like her as well!!! SO STOP IT WITH YOUR BULLSHIT!!! I'M VERT'S SOLDIER! NO. . . I'M HER GUARDIAN! I'M PROTECTING HER FROM SCUM LIKE YOU AS I PROMISED!

Vert was in shock from (Y/N)'s resolve as she simply stared at the injured boy in front of her. She nearly had tears in her eyes as well.

Vert: ((Y/N). . . This young man is willing to go through that much measures. . . just for me?? I'm. . . I'm. . .)

Vert gives a small smile and reaches out for (Y/N)'s wrist as she grabs it still keeping a closed eye smile on her face.

Vert: (I'm more than grateful to hear such kind words as I do not believe I heard any other man say anything so chivalrous. . . at least. . . not in reality.)

As Vert's thought was still going, she sensed something inside of (Y/N) as she opens her eyes confused and looks back up at (Y/N) to then see that his entire body was suddenly glowing golden as his eyes were still blue as well. Malware was shocked as well as he took a step back in slight fear.

General Malware: Wh-What is this?!

The aura grows just a bit bigger and (Y/N)'s hair started to flow a little as well as he kept his glaring blue eyes at Malware.

Vert: (Y/N)?

(Y/N): Vert. . . Are you okay?

Vert: Yes. . .

(Y/N): Then leave this one to me.

(Y/N) then picks up the Anti-Crystal in his palm and something strange happened. . . The Anti-Crystal emits a golden aura and it morphs into a Share Crystal thanks to (Y/N)'s power. He absorbs it and suddenly all of his injuries were gone which shocks both Nepgear and S-Sha from the distance that they were watching the whole thing.

S-Sha: What is that power? It came out of nowhere.

Nepgear: Not only that, but. . . the Anti-Crystal is gone! H-How is that possible?!

Nepgear then remembers the time she realizes (Y/N) being able to help Neptune transform for the first time in the reactor core as she takes a look back at (Y/N).

Nepgear: (Can Anti-Crystals not affect (Y/N) because he has the power to give us energy instead of erasing it?? How is that possible?)

Malware continues to stare at (Y/N) and before he knew it, he found himself face to face with (Y/N) shocking him and with a loud crunch, he gets punched in the face by (Y/N) was sent flying. During his trajectory though, (Y/N) had already appeared right behind him with tremendous speed as he does a backflip kick which knocks him upwards. (Y/N) wasn't done yet though as he jumps up and knocks him downwards with a kick.

He then yells out as his golden aura glows around his body and he sends a flurry of kicks and punches to Malware as he yells out. (Y/N) then reaches his hand out and his sword comes back to him as he grabs it and the entire blade glows before (Y/N) sent a bunch of rapid slashes at Malware. He then kicks Malware back up sending him in the air before (Y/N) flies back up into the air and with his sword, he proceeds to come around at all angles around Malware, slashing his sword at him from every direction he came from. Once he was done, he does an axe kick and Malware goes rocketing back towards the ground.

(Y/N) lands back onto the ground and he throws his sword up as it changes into his gun and when he catches it, he aims right towards Malware who was dazed from having to deal with so many attacks at once.

General Malware: Wh. . . Where. . . H-How could you have so m-much power like that in a short amount of time?

(Y/N): The power I hold was given to me. . . and I'm going to use it to defeat you and bring Gamindustri back! This is the final blow. . . of my best move! Gigabreak!

Once (Y/N)'s gun was finished charging, he blasts a humongous golden energy beam out of it which Malware sees and he had no time to react as he was instantly overtaken by the blast making him scream out in pain, and the blast when so far that it even shot through the reactor core. Once the beam dies down, Malware was suddenly gone and out of sight which confuses everybody.

Vert: What happened to him?

(Y/N): I don't know. . . but something tells me that he escaped.

Soon enough, (Y/N)'s aura goes away and he drops to his knees.

Vert: (Y/N)!

Suddenly, a couple of explosions were heard by everybody as they all suddenly realize that the reactor core is destroyed. (Y/N) stands up and he started limping as he approaches Vert. He takes her hand and helps her stand up and Vert suddenly felt some Share energy course through her body as she suddenly transforms into Green Heart while looking at (Y/N) surprised as he just smiles up at her.

(Y/N): I said that I was going to help save Leanbox, didn't I?

He then places the Share Crystal that he had into Green Heart's hand as she stares at it in silence while blushing.

(Y/N): Vert. . . I'm out of energy now. . . and this Share Crystal is the only thing that's left. . . can you do me a favor. . . and give it to Nepgear? It's our chance to. . . get out of here.

(Y/N) then finally faints, but Green Heart catches him before he falls to the ground. She then lifts his body and stares at (Y/N)'s sleeping face before she simply just smiles at him. Vert then looks over to Nepgear and S-Sha as she tosses Nepgear the Share Crystal and she catches it before looking at Green Heart in confusion.

Green Heart (Vert): Nepgear, I need you to use that Share Crystal to grab S-Sha and carry her out of here.

Nepgear: *nods* Right.

Nepgear uses the Share Crystal and transforms into Purple Sister as she looks down at S-Sha who was still badly hurt, but Purple Sister casted her Hyper Heal skill onto S-Sha and her injuries went away as she stands back up.

S-Sha: Thanks for the assist.

Purple Sister (Nepgear): You should thank, (Y/N). If it wasn't for him, I probably wouldn't be able to heal you.

S-Sha takes a look at (Y/N) who was being carried in Green Heart's arms still unconscious from letting out so much energy. S-Sha gives a barely noticeable smile at (Y/N) before Green Heart flies up to him.

Green Heart (Vert): Only a matter of seconds before this place collapses. Let us head back to the Basilicom as we've completed our objective.

S-Sha and Purple Sister nods as she grabs S-Sha's hand to lift her up and both her and Green Heart uses Sylhet Spear to break a glass window right in front of them. In the outside view, both Green Heart and Purple Sister could seen flying out of the reactor carrying their friends as with that done. . . all reactors have now been destroyed and Gamindustri's Shares will stay intact for now.

Location: Leanbox's Basilicom

In (Y/N)'s vision, he slowly opens his eyes to look up to see that he was inside of the Basilicom. . . and it looks like a familiar part of the Basilicom too. However, on his head he felt like he was laying on something that felt like two soft marshmallow pillows. He thought he was in bed as first as he smiles with a sigh before he heard a giggle which makes him look up even more to see that Vert's face was there.

Vert: *giggles* Had a nice nap, (Y/N)~?

(Y/N) then turns his head a little to finally realize that he was actually on both of Vert's breasts which made him blush like crazy.

(Y/N): V-V-V-Vert?! W-What are you doing??

Vert: I'm simply letting you rest. You were unconscious for a couple of hours after all.

(Y/N): B-But this position. . . I-Isn't it weird for if someone sees us like this?

Vert: You have no need to feel embarrassed. I told the others that I would take care of you after you had been through so much today. I'd say you deserve this after you showed such daring events right in front of me~

Vert says this as she puts her hands around (Y/N)'s heads and pulled him closer into her chest making him blush bright red.

(Y/N): V-Vert! You're. . . squeezing me. . . kind of. . . tight!

After about a few seconds though, (Y/N) felt the softness of Vert's breasts get to him as his eyes start to close shut and he get's a smile too.

(Y/N): Then again. . . these do feel more comfortable than any kind of pillow I've slept in~ I think I'll most likely fall asleep here again~

He let's out a dreamy sigh as Vert giggles at him.

Vert: Take all of the sleep that you need. . . My sweet little guardian~

Meanwhile, over at the door to Vert's room, it was cracked as it seems that Nepgear, S-Sha, and even Chika were eavesdropping on (Y/N)'s little situation right now.

Chika: I'm complaining! How can that brute of all people be taking the attention of my darling Vert?! How can she give more affection to him than me?!

Nepgear: *nervous laugh* Look on the bright side, she seems to be taking a break from constantly calling me her little sister. Not that I dislike it, but she takes it too far sometimes. . .

Chika: You are a small exception! That brat doesn't even deserve to touch Vert!

S-Sha: Give it a rest. . . What's most important is that she's alive thanks to him. . . I'd prefer that you would be a little more grateful.

Chika: Grateful?! It should've been me! I wish to save my darling Vert from any sort of danger that lurks!

Nepgear: *sweatdrops* I doubt she's going to stop complaining for a while. . . Still, I'm glad (Y/N) was able to push us through in the end and deepen his relationship with Vert. Don't you think, S-Sha?

S-Sha: Sorry, but I have no interest in (Y/N)'s relationship with his friends.

Nepgear: Huh??? Even after. . .

S-Sha: Let me finish. All I'm interested in. . .

She then gives a small smile.

S-Sha: . . .is seeing (Y/N) prevail in what future potential he holds as a warrior.

Nepgear was surprised to hear S-Sha finally speak something not-so-offensive to (Y/N) and she smiles at her before they both keep watching the scene with Vert trying to squish (Y/N) into her large breasts letting him sleep peacefully.
