(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

Location: Lastation's Basilicom

August 29, 20XX

Time: Morning

I'm just going to say this right now as this morning was probably one of the most wildest that I've ever had in my life. So I was able to get Kazuki and Ayame patched up with the help from Compa as she used the same technique that she used on me when trying to patch up my wounds when I fought the Deity of Sin in my lucid memory dream. They almost looked like the impact never even happened. Despite that, I thought I would take a break from Planeptune and spend some time with Noire and Uni in Lastation. Noire doesn't play around when it comes to work as she's probably the most responsible out of the rest. Nep is always. . . just Nep, Vert games too often, and Blanc reads and writes too much.

Noire may be responsible, but that doesn't mean that there are some flaws in that. I was currently getting ready to wake up as I was in a room that Noire made me since I can live in any nation I want to. As I do, I felt something grip my wrist as I slowly open my eyes and what I see right in front of me next made my grow a huge red blush. . .

Someone was actually sleeping right next to me in their clothes. . . and it was Noire who was cuddling my arm and holding onto my wrists as she squeezes my arm in her chest area making me nervous as this was the last thing that I would expect Noire to do with a guy like me.

(Y/N): Uhhh. . . um. . .

Noire: Mmmm~. . . Zzzzz. . .

I try my best not to move and keep still so that I don't wake her up. Noire lets out a cute little moan and I'm just looking around to see if there is anything that I can do to get out of this situation so that Noire doesn't kill me later. Sadly there is nothing as transforming right next to her might just automatically put her in HDD and she'll obviously wake up too. I then slowly try to free my arm, but I more I struggle, the more she holds onto it like a teddy bear.

Noire: Ehehehe. . .

I can't help but smile at they way Noire is acting while she is sleeping.

(Y/N): Damn, she's a cute sleeper. . .

I think I said that rather too loud as Noire slowly opens her eyes which made me gasp as she is waking up now. . . Well, I'm dead. I bequeath everything to Histoire if I survive what happens to me next. It takes her a second to fully open her eyes and regain her vision, but the first thing that she sees right in front of herself while she was in my bed was me. Once she fully registers what she is seeing, her eyes widened with a huge blush on her cheeks.

Noire: E-E-Eh?!

(Y/N): Huh!?

As we both stare at each other with the same reactions for a second, Noire suddenly screams out in shock.

Noire: Uehh-Eh-Eh-Eh-EHHHHHHH!!!!?

Noire instantly sits up and glares at me with a look of bewilderment.

Noire: You! How did you-?! W-Why. . . What are you doing in my bed?!

(Y/N): Th-Th-This is all a misunderstanding!!!

Noire screams once more as she jumps out and runs over to a nearby dresser to start throwing random things at me with her eyes closed. She threw a pillow, a book. . . somehow she got a bowling pin, a plunger, and even a lamp from somewhere as they were all thrown towards me.

Noire: GET OUT! Deviant!!! Interloper!!! Monster!!!

All I can feel right now is constant pain as Noire kept throwing more and more random objects at me as one of the objects which was a remote hits me in the face. I then shield myself with my arms so that I don't get hit in the face my all of those objects. I then yell back at her as she continues to yell out random words at me.

(Y/N): Ow!! Stop!! STOP!! You're the one in my room! This is MY room! The room that you and Uni set up for me remember?! Open your eyes!

Noire stops throwing stuff as she was holding up a glass pot. . . I was so happy that she didn't throw that. She opens one of her eyes before she then looks around and it took her a second to realize that I was right. Her eyes pop open in shock as she drops the pot that she was holding while blushing. She then groans before covering her face in embarrassment.

Noire: No. . .! I can't believe that I did it again. . .!

Noire then just runs out of my room while I'm still wondering what she meant by that. . . Outside of my room, a girl that looks somewhat like a boy just walks up by my room as she has short silver hair and cobalt blue eyes and wears a black suit like outfit with a blue tie and black shorts instead of pants. This girl is Kei Jinguji and she's the Oracle of Lastation.

As Kei walks by my room, Noire bursts out which surprises her and Noire was still covering her face while mumbling to herself as she walks back towards her room. Kei sees this and stares before she just gets a small smile on her face before I came out of my room in my sleepwear and Kei turns to me.

Kei: Good morning, (Y/N). Had a pleasant sleep?

(Y/N): H-Hello, Kei. Um. . . almost. . .

She lets out a small chuckle from that.

Kei: I figured that you would say that considering how I see Noire acting right now. Looks like she's done it again.

I am still confused as I don't get what happened.

(Y/N): Again?

Kei: Every once in awhile when Noire overworks herself on her duties, she sometimes doesn't get enough rest and falls asleep at her work desk. However, that apparently is not comfortable for her, so she sleepwalks until she finds somewhere comfortable. It looks you're the lucky one to encounter it this time.

(Y/N): (I wouldn't really call what just happened "lucky". . .)

Still that surprises me, Noire actually sleepwalks. I guess I'll have to remind myself to lock the door to my room from now on as I really don't want to go through that again. I think I might have a bump on my head from how much stuff she threw at me. Noire walks up to the door to her room and she stops before turning back towards me. She blushes and gives me an annoyed look as she covers her upper chest area where her breasts are.

Noire: You were staring. . .

(Y/N): What??

Noire: Pervert!

Noire then rushes into her room and slams the door shut. I just stare ahead with confusion written all over my face as I really don't know what just happened right now. All I know is that Noire is a sleepwalker and living with her is rather. . . extraordinary is how I can say it at best. Kei chuckles before putting a hand on my shoulder.

Kei: You two are more close than you seem.

I turn to her still confused.

(Y/N): What??

Kei: There's a guild job waiting for you to complete later this morning. Try to get it done as soon as you can, alright?

(Y/N): . . .What??

Kei: I'm sure Noire will calm down in just a few. . . in fact it's more of a quest that you three should take on together if you ask me. For now, I'll just clean up the mess that Noire caused in your room. . . that way it'll be fair for the both of us to get things done. And I mean, if you desire it. . . you could invite Noire in there more times if you like.

I blush from the suggestion that Kei brought up.

Kei: Just kidding. She probably wouldn't like that from you. Help yourself for the moment, but make sure you get Uni and Noire from their rooms like I suggested. Just don't try to cause another misunderstanding where you can't even clear yourself from.

Kei walks into my room to do what she said, but I'm still rather in shock as I just stood there not really knowing how to respond to any of this.

(Y/N): . . .WHAT???

Third P.O.V.

Location: Virus Empire Airship, Lab

Time: Late Morning

Inside of the Virus Empire's airship, there is a bunch of wires, tools, and materials scattered about as the sound of a bunch of electric sparks could be heard. The person or general responsible for those noises was General Canker as he had on a metal face helmet while doing some tech stuff. As he was working on that, the doors to the lab open and the person who entered was General Hijack as he looks down at Canker raising an eyebrow under his helmet.

General Hijack: You seem to be taking your precious time on your little science project. . .

General Canker: Heh, well it is MY time to take if it means creating something new to best the CPUs isn't it?

General Hijack: *rolls eyes* Just over a week ago, you're little octopus bot rusted inside of the ocean. . . What makes you think that this new contraption will be any better?

All Canker did was mischievous chuckle from that as he turns to Hijack before lifting up his helmet to look at him directly into his eyes.

General Canker: Because when I was looking at the surveillance footage of the last fight that the CPUs had. . . our Male CPU friend had given a new idea when he said that he can sense, reproduce, and give out Share energy. What about to create. . . is something that will turn that effect against him and that ability of his will be rendered useless.

He then holds out what looks to be a handheld device and hands it over to Hijack.

General Canker: Hold this for a second, my precious buddy~

Canker said that as he pats Hijack on the back and then turns to what he was working on as Hijack glares at him with an annoyed expression.

General Hijack: Don't ever say that again. . .

Canker then tinkers a bit more with what he is creating and Hijack was just staring and he couldn't lie as he was a little bit interested in what Canker was creating as he leans over to the side a little to try and get a little peek and when he sees it, he get's a rather confused look under his helmet.

General Hijack: That looks so small! How do you plan on defeating the CPUs with something as tiny as that??

General Canker: You know what they say. . . Even the "little" things can make a big difference. Trust me, what I've got here. . . those goddesses and that so-called god won't stand a chance as there won't even be a chance for them to react to this.

General Hijack: How so?

General Canker: I had Malware use some of his magic into this new baby, so it'll make it all the more frightening. The frightening part about this, you ask? . . .Let's just say. . . it will never stop seeking it's target. . . no matter what~

This intrigues Hijack as this made him slightly surprised on how Canker said that.

General Hijack: No matter what. . . As in absolutely nothing will stop it?

General Canker: *sinister chuckle* Emphasis on absolutely. . .

Hijack continues to stare at Canker surprised before he smirks under his helmet as he thinks that whatever Canker had planned this time may just be what they needed to take out the Male CPU.

General Hijack: Canker. . . I hate it when you get obnoxious. . . but you can sometimes impress me with your mad scientist skills.

Canker stops what he was doing as he flips his helmet up and puts a hand to his ear turning over to Hijack a little.

General Canker: Oh, I'm sorry. . . What was that, Hijack? Was that praise? I would gladly take some more of that. Give as much as you have actually as this show can go on all day.

Hijack rolls his eyes from that before shaking his head as he thinks that Canker got carried away once he complimented him.

General Hijack: I take back what I just said. . .

General Canker: Forget about it though. . . it's finished.

General Hijack: Once it finds its prey, what will happen?

General Canker: I'll give you a little hint. . . if you give some more praise that I delightfully savor.

General Hijack: Shut up and just give me the damn hint, you idiot!

General Canker: So you know how a human needs specific nutrients in order to function or hell, even to move their bones and muscles? Taking them out would mean exactly the opposite of what I just described. . .

General Hijack: Hmm. . .?

General Canker: It'll be the exact same outcome for when we completely drain the CPUs of what they need the most to function as well.

Canker then hears a beep as he pulls up his wrist to show some footage that looked to be Noire, Uni, and (Y/N) out in Lastation together and this makes Canker smirk.

General Canker: Looks like the soldiers have already found the exact prey that I was looking for. . . I'm going to get some sweet revenge from that CPU bitch who beat me back in the reactor.

Canker says this as he quietly chuckles before he laughs evilly out loud of what sinister plan that he is going to execute onto the three that are currently residing in Lastation. All Hijack could do was smirk from this as he thinks that this should prove useful as well if they beat three in a row.

Location: Lastation Outskirts

Kei had ordered (Y/N) to accompany Noire and Uni out on a guild request as they were all taking on a giant Ancient Dragon that had apparently gotten too close towards the city. They didn't feel as though transforming for something would be necessary as Noire yells preparing her attack. She charges straight at the Ancient Dragon as she does a backflip kick before swing her sword horizontally at the dragon which knocks it back. Uni shoots an explosive bullet at before (Y/N) jumps over her to then sent an axe kick at the dragon's head and he pushes off of a cliff by sending a powered up kick straight into it's gut and the dragon falls off. (Y/N) smirks at this as he goes up towards the edge and watches the dragon fall.

(Y/N): I suppose you didn't want to "hang" out on this cliff, huh?

Uni sweatdrops with a slight annoyed look from how corny that was before (Y/N) turns back to smile at the two.

(Y/N): Jobs done! We can report this quest in and let the people know that they've got nothing more to worry about when it comes to the Ancient Dragons here.

Uni nods, but Noire looks at (Y/N) for a second before she let's out a humph and turns away from him while crossing her arms as (Y/N) looks at her surprised.

(Y/N): Oh, my god! Are you still mad at me?!

(Y/N) says this as he rushes up right behind Noire as he was referring what happened this morning when Noire woke up in his bed.

(Y/N): You appeared in my bed when I woke up and if I just snuck away like nothing happened, you'd be even more annoyed from the situation.

Noire: You could've at least thought twice and lock that stupid door shut so I wouldn't have to enter you're room, idiot!

(Y/N): Who's fault is that again?! I didn't know you had a habit of sleepwalking until Kei told me! If anything that's more on you!

Noire: Don't talk to me, idiot!

Noire doesn't face (Y/N) as she continues to walk towards Lastation while keeping her arms crossed while (Y/N) growls at Noire being so stubborn about the sleepwalking accident that they had earlier in the morning.

(Y/N): (Just so we're clear Noire, I'm not going to consider this a favor that you need to return!)

Uni was just watching (Y/N) and her big sister being in an argument as she really has no idea how to respond at any of this. She knows that Noire will just tell her to stay out of this and she has trouble speaking her mind around (Y/N), so she wouldn't be useful in getting them to forgive each other for the incident.

Uni: (This is really embarrassing as I'm always the one just watching what happens between you two. . . Don't worry, (Y/N). . . I already know that it wasn't your fault at all. . . Noire, I know you don't like to get embarrassed around others, but don't take your anger out on your friend. . . *sighs* That's what I want to say, but all I'll just do is cause more tension between them. This seems more of something up of Nepgear, Rom, or Ram's alley and not mine. . . I mean I made up with Nepgear that one time where I thought I was weak. . . n-not that I actually needed her to cheer me up or anything.)

Out of the corner of Uni's eyes, a window appears on a stone wall and Uni gasps as she turns to the direction of where she saw the window. . . and it just vanish all of a sudden. Uni looks around for it before shrugging her shoulders thinking that it was her imagination. She walks ahead with (Y/N) and Noire before turning back once more to see if what she saw was real. . . and this time she actually does see a window on a large stone as it made her gasp and flinch.

Uni: N-Noire! (Y-Y/N)! There's some kind of window showing a room over there!

Uni turns to the two as she points towards where she saw it and once the two older CPUs look in her direction, they raise an eyebrow.

(Y/N): What window?

Noire: There's nothing there.

Uni turns back towards where she saw the window and she gasps once more with a shocked look as it disappeared again.

Uni: But. . . But I thought. . .

Noire walks over towards her little sister and looks around where she was before raising an eyebrow and crossing her arms.

Noire: You sure you saw something, Uni?

Uni: Uh. . . um. . . Pretty sure. . .

Noire: Hmm. . . You feel like we're being followed?

Uni: In a way, yes.

(Y/N): Then it's probably Virus Empire soldiers or brutes. Uni, alert us for if you see that room again. . . Maybe it'll turn up when we're not looking.

Noire and (Y/N) walk back towards the direction of where the city was and Uni looks left and right a little nervous before following the others back in the Lastation city.

Location: Lastation City

Once they arrived, Noire and (Y/N) used all kinds of eye movements to see if anything looked suspicious around the place while Uni kept her nervous look while they were walking. As they continued walking, Uni looks to her left towards an alleyway and just looking at the deep, long, and dark part of it was making her feel uneasy for some reason. However, once she blinks, the window that she saw earlier when walking in the outskirts appeared again as she yelped before quickly getting (Y/N) and Noire's attention.

Uni: There it is! I see it again!

Noire and (Y/N) quickly turn towards Uni's direction and they looked towards the alleyway. . . only to see absolutely nothing just like earlier.

Uni: I. . . I could've. . .

Noire: Uni, I know you're not really one to mess with me, but this is a joke then don't pester me with it as I'm not really in the joking mood right now.

(Y/N): You sure you're not just imagining things or being paranoid, Uni?

This shocks Uni again as her own sister and (Y/N) thinks that she's going delusional. She watches them walk off in shock before looking back with the same amount of shock that she just had. She looks back and forth between the two and the alleyway that had this mysterious vanishing window that would only appear in her eyes before getting a serious look on her face.

Uni: That's it! If those Virus punks want to mess with me so much then I'll give them a message of who they're messing with!

Uni separates with Noire and (Y/N) as she summons out her sniper rifle while walking into the alleyway. She places her back up against the wall where the window was in case there may be anybody watching her.

Uni: (This is strange. . . Can nobody see this illusion except for me?? Nah, they're just trying to antagonize me. . . and it's working! The moment that I see a Virus Soldier in that window, I won't hesitate to shoot them in the head! Trying to make my big sister and my friend think that I'm going crazy, huh? We'll see who's crazy once I jump in there!)

Uni mentally prepares herself for what she is about to witness as she takes a deep breath before jumping through the window and started pointing her gun while looking around with a serious look.

Uni: Alright, you Virus soldiers! Put your hands where I can see them and maybe I'll spare you!!

However, Uni gasps for what she sees next. . . There was literally nobody inside of the window as she was currently inside of what looks to be just a normal living room as she looks all over the place.

Uni: There's no one here. . .? But why did it only keep appearing when I was looking?? It doesn't make any sense.

Uni puts away her gun and starts looking around the room as she goes up to inspect a rocking chair and it just does what it does best when she touches it and just moves back and forth. She then looks to her left to see what looks to be a coat closet as she walks up to open it and there was nothing inside of there as well.

Uni: Still, it appeared out of nowhere so it's still suspicious. . . Why me though?

As Uni talks to herself still confused. . . a familiar voice rings out in the room.

General Canker: Aw~ Is the little Lastation CPU Candidate feeling unsure of herself right now~?

Uni gasps and flinches before she summons out her gun once again while sweating a little as she wasn't prepared for that. She looks around, but Canker was nowhere to be seen at all.

Uni: Canker?! Wh-Where are you?!

General Canker: Somewhere talking to you. . . Though honestly I'm not actually "here."

Uni: Huh??

General Canker: I still can't believe that I actually baited you into this room! This will be the catch of the century for our organization!

Uni: So this WAS a trap!?

General Canker: Bingo. . . Sorry tiny, but it's already too late for you to run. . . Not like running will do you any good anyway. . . Adieu!

Canker's voice disappears and Uni gets a nervous look as she is probably in trouble right now.

Uni: I've got to tell sis and (Y/N) before whatever-

Suddenly, Uni heard the faint sound of some footsteps running like crazy as she looks around for where it was coming from, but the more she stood there, the louder that it was getting.

Uni: It's coming. . . Something IS here! I-I can't see it, but. . . it's coming after me! I need to get out of here!!

Outside, Noire and (Y/N) were still walking with each other, but they kept their distance from each other as tension was still active between the two. They eye each other for a brief second before turning their heads away from one another. However as they did they got conflicted looks on their faces.

Noire: (*sighs* Maybe. . . Maybe I was a little too harsh on (Y/N). . . I hated that I appeared in the bed that I provided for him, but. . . taking out my frustration on him seemed a little too much. . .)

(Y/N): (Maybe I should've thought twice before going to sleep with my door unlocked, I mean sure I'm in the Basilicom, but anything could still happen even when I feel like I'm safe. . . I'll just apologize to Noire when we get back home and report our quest to Kei.)

Both of their faces grew blushes on the thought of this as it just made their little outing more awkward by the second as the two didn't say a word too each other. However, Noire thought it might be best to break the silence as she didn't talk to (Y/N), but rather her sister.

Noire: Uni, when we get back home I'm going to need you to help fill some papers out for me, alright? . . .A-And don't ask why. . .

She says as she looks at (Y/N) at the corner of her eye with a small blush.

Noire: Th-That's only for me to know. . .

Noire doesn't get any response as this confused her a little bit before she turns around along with (Y/N) who was also confused by Uni's silence.

Noire: Uni, are you listening?

The moment they turned around they don't see anybody behind them except for pedestrians walking past them as that alarmed them.

Noire: U-Uni?? Where did you. . .

(Y/N): I thought she was just right behind me. . . Wait, don't tell that she went to inspect that illusion that she was talking about, herself!

Noire: If she did. . . Come on, (Y/N)!! She could in danger right now!

(Y/N) nods as they both backtracked so that they could find the CPU Candidate. In the alleyway window, Uni jumps out as the running footsteps that she was hearing was getting closer by the second. She proceeds to run as the noise was scaring her.

Uni: I can't see it, but. . . It definitely can't be human from the noise that it's making! Now it's for sure that that room is dangerous! I need to get the other two to help me out and fast!

As Uni runs though, she could hear the running footsteps getting even closer to her as she was breathing heavily.

Uni: It's chasing after me! It's chasing after me!!

Suddenly, the noise stopped and Uni felt something pierce her shoulder as she yelps out and looks to see what looks to be a small needle in the shape of a rocket on her.

Uni: Wha?! What is this?!

Uni reaches out to take the needle off of her, but no matter how much she pulled it wouldn't come off, in fact the more she pulled, the more that it was digging into her skin.

Uni: These needles or syringes. . . Is this what Canker was referring too?? Ack!!

Uni suddenly felt a huge shock to her body as she falls down to her knees and not only that, but there were about a dozen more needles stabbed into her back as she was struggling to even walk.

Uni: C-Crap! It's taking all of the energy out of my body. . . J-Just like how Viron did it when we were on Leanbox. . . but this seems. . . more. . . extreme!

Uni coughs as she falls down to the ground and a red aura was blinking around her signaling that her Share energy was getting drained out of her body.

General Canker: That's correct, my little victim. . . Once you stepped into that room, I fully scanned your Share energy and my new invention which seeks out a CPUs Share energy like a dog sniffing out something suspicious. Now that it's caught you, it's going to take all of the energy that you have left and absorb it all out of you.

Uni: *weakly* Y-You. . . scumbag. . . (Y/N). . . will. . . give it back to me!

General Canker: You think that I didn't even thought of that. You were the bait. I'm sure they'll come to your aid. . . If we suck dry Gold Heart, then nothing will stand in our way of taking the rest from you CPUs.

(Y/N): *in the distance* Uni!!

General Canker: Oh? There he is now.

Uni was worried for what will happen to (Y/N) once he and Noire finds her. Once he reaches the alleyway, (Y/N) looks inside and he doesn't see Uni, but only the window illusion that Canker made.

(Y/N): Uni wasn't lying. . . There was a window. . . Noire! Over here!

Noire catches up with (Y/N) as they both quickly run into the alleyway where the window was and once they do, they look inside and they both gasp to see Uni on the ground too weak to even stand up as her Share energy was getting taken more and more.

General Canker: Go ahead, Uni. Ask for them to help you. Especially (Y/N), right? He is the special one after all~ Perhaps I may leave just a few of your energy to live if you get your precious Gold Heart to walk into the room.

Uni: (You bastard! I don't have much strength left.)

Noire: Uni!! Are you okay?!

(Y/N): Where's the enemy?! What the hell is this room?!

Noire: It's likely a trap if we try and save her like this, (Y/N)! We need to think of something fast!

(Y/N) looks at Noire before back towards Uni as he feels conflicted on what they do.

General Canker: Go on, Uni~ Unless you want to faint from your energy getting sucked dry~ Lure them in!

Uni: *weakly* *whispers* If I. . . lure them in. . . you'll. . . spare. . . me. . .?

General Canker: Bane, Hijack, and Malware don't keep their promises. . . but don't worry. . . I promise. . . You'll live for another day if you get your sister and that Male CPU in here.

Suddenly, Uni does says something unexpected as she just smirks while laying down.

Uni: *weakly* I refuse!

General Canker: What?!

Uni: *weakly* You. . . generals. . . like to think that you're all high and mighty. . . but I've dealt with situations like these. . . and I'm not afraid to take the hits for those I care about anymore. . .

Canker's growl could be heard as he did not like that answer. Uni then slowly raises her head as she was sweating up a storm as she yells out to (Y/N) and Noire.

Uni: *weakly* Noire! (Y/N)! Get out of here! RUN!

This surprises Noire and (Y/N) of what Uni was telling them right now.

Uni: *weakly* If you come in here, you'll end up like me!! Go on and run!!

General Canker: Why you little. . . bitch!!

All Uni could do was smirk from that as she had no regrets from that at all. Noire stares at her little sister being in danger, but she felt like she knew what she was doing so she was getting ready to run.

Noire: Come on, (Y/N)! If I know my little sister well then I know that she's telling us this for a reason! Let's go!

Noire doesn't hear (Y/N) respond though which confused her as she slowly turns back around. . . to see that (Y/N) actually walked inside of the room which made her gasp with disbelief.

Noire: That idiot!!!

Uni saw that (Y/N) walked into the room too and he smirks before pointing to himself.

(Y/N): Did you really think that I'm just going to run away from this and leave you be just because you asked? I'll kick whoever's ass is harming you! Where are they?! I know they're hiding in here if I see those things sticking in your clothes!

Uni stares at (Y/N) in shock as he just did the exact opposite of what she just told him to do.

Uni: *weakly* YOU IDIOT!! Don't you realize that if came into this room that whatever is draining me will get you too! How can you do this?! You're so damn reckless, (Y/N)!

Uni however. . . just smirks back at him.

Uni: *weakly* But. . . that's exactly what I like about you, (Y/N)! You always do gutsy things that involve doing the exact opposite of what we think that you'll do!

Uni then summons her gun out and she struggles to aim it at (Y/N) as her vision was getting dizzy.

(Y/N): Uni?

Uni: *weakly* Hold still. . . (Y-Y/N). . .

Uni then shoots an explosive shot towards (Y/N)'s legs and he was sent rocketing out of the window along with Noire who he crashed into along the way.

Uni: *weakly* (Y/N), Noire, you need to find Canker!! He's the one causing this!! Just go as fast as you can and don't ever stop!!

Noire & (Y/N): UNI!!!

Noire and (Y/N) was sent rolling out of the alleyway and back onto the streets as they both stare at the alley with worry for Uni.

(Y/N): So we just need to find Canker and take him-

*SMACK*

Noire slaps (Y/N) hard in the face which left a slight red mark and he glares at her annoyed.

(Y/N): OW! What in the hell was that for?!

Noire: How can you be so foolish you moron?! Uni was already giving us a hint to what we were suppose to do and you did the opposite of my little sister told us to do! She was trying to help us!!

(Y/N): I could see in Uni's eyes that she had the exact resolve to plan that out. . . She was actually telling that more towards you, not me! You know I'm not the kind of guy to just walk away from somewhere where I see trouble amok!

Noire: You do things without even thinking it through most of the time and that's exactly why I'm often annoyed at you just like earlier!

(Y/N): NOIRE! Do you want to continue arguing with me or do you want to save Uni?!

Noire flinches from (Y/N) yelling at her as she eyes the alleyway and frowns before nodding at (Y/N) with a fierce look on her face.

Noire: Of course I do! She's my little sister after all!

(Y/N): Then we need to stop disagreeing and start working together!

Suddenly, Noire and (Y/N) heard loud footsteps that were coming from the alleyway as they both gasped in worry of what was coming for them. (Y/N) then reaches into his pocket and summons out a small panel and he presses a button on it before it materializes into his hoverboard. He jumps on the front to ride it and turns to Noire.

(Y/N): Uni told us to go as fast as we could and using my hoverboard seems to be the best method as we can't stay in our HDD forms for too long. If those needles catch us then we're finished. Ride on the back end of my hoverboard and hold on tight, got it?

Noire looks up at (Y/N) before she nods as she jumps up right behind him on his hoverboard and wraps her arms around his torso to hold onto him. Seeing that she was ready, (Y/N) takes off at the top speed that his hoverboard can take him and the needles that were draining Uni came out of the alley and started to head on their way towards the direction that Noire and (Y/N) were going. They were going fast, but they didn't seem to be able to catch up with the two.

Noire: I'll admit this seems very useful for situations where you don't even have to go HDD in order to travel.

(Y/N): I mostly use my hoverboard for long distance transportation like this when I'm in a nation. I used it to escape the Virus Empire before and I even used it when I was going on my way to the reactor in Leanbox.

Noire looks behind her to see that the needles that were chasing them were getting farther and farther away from them which surprised her.

Noire: This isn't good though. Those things that were inside Uni is going to drain our energy dry if it catches up to us. Now that its gotten the source of your Share energy, its not going to stop until it reaches it goal.

(Y/N): You figured all that out just by what Uni said?

Noire: Obviously. I've known Uni way longer than you to know exactly what my little sister is thinking.

(Y/N): That's fair I suppose. The good news is that my hoverboard can go as fast as a motorcycle so we should be in the clear right now. . . though now I suppose we do have a problem as we don't even know where Canker is.

Noire: You're right. . . How are we suppose to find him without stopping to look? He could be anywhere in Lastation right now.

(Y/N): IF would be good in this situation since she's all about espionage, but it would take way too long for her to get here even if she was riding on her bike. Isn't there anyone else here that you know that's capable of espionage, Noire?

Noire thinks hard for a second before she suddenly gets an idea in her head on who would be the best fit for finding Canker while they were on the run.

Noire: K-Sha! She's always in Lastation. . . mostly just to see me, but even she is great when it comes to getting intel on the enemy!

(Y/N): *smiles* That's a good idea! Hold on! We can pull over for a second and I can call K-Sha using my watch. We should be good of a distance from what was chasing us, right?

Noire takes another look behind her to see that the needles have suddenly disappeared meaning that they must've outrun them which makes her nod with a serious look.

Noire: It doesn't look like they'll be catching up for a short period of time, so let's make this as quick as possible!

(Y/N) nods as he slows down and stops nearby a fast food joint before hopping off his hoverboard along with Noire.

(Y/N): Alright then. . . K-Sha, please pick up ASAP.

(Y/N) was getting ready to dial up K-Sha's phone number on his watch, but as he does Noire hears something which sounds like rapid beeping as she turns around and looks down. . . to see that the needles that were chasing them have already caught up to them which made her gasp in shock.

Noire: Wha?! You can't be serious!!

(Y/N): *rolls eyes* Oh, come on! Now what's the matter?

Noire rolls her eyes at (Y/N) condescending tone as she tugs his shoulder towards her to turn around.

Noire: Turn around and maybe you'll get the picture, idiot!

(Y/N) does so and he gives out a gasp of extreme shock as well to see that the needles have already caught up to them and are laying on the concrete trying to find them. Canker's voice could be heard coming from the needles.

General Canker: Where the hell did those broads go?! I've scanned the god's Share energy so he should be near here!

(Y/N): What the hell?! Why'd did they just suddenly appear out of thin air?!

Noire: How am I suppose to know that?? I was looking behind us for some of the time and even if I was doing simple math. . . it could've at least taken one to two minutes to catch up to us!

(Y/N): Dammit! Back on the hoverboard!!

(Y/N) and Noire instantly jump back onto (Y/N)'s hoverboard and they took off as they did, the needles pointed towards their direction.

General Canker: Found you!!

The needles took off in pursuit of the two CPUs once more as they were sweating on how persistent this new machine of Canker's is.

(Y/N): I can't deduce why this is happening! You'd think that would be the work of Malware since he's the one who does all of the magic shit!

Noire: Canker's annoying, but you know that he said that he's pretty good with machines too! I don't know him well, but I do know that he's thinking of more deadly ways to take us on! That's one of the reasons that I think that he was using Uni to bait us there!

(Y/N): Noire, I wasn't finished dialing K-Sha's number on my watch!

(Y/N) holds up his wrist with his watch and points it towards Noire.

(Y/N): You're going to have to start the call for me instead!

Noire sees this and nods in agreement before she and (Y/N) see something else ahead of them and it was the intersection of nearby road with some cars that were stopped to let a woman who was pushing a baby carriage across the road. The baby could be heard crying inside as it's mother was trying to comfort it. Noire and (Y/N) gasp in unison from this.

(Y/N): Shit! A baby carriage of all things?!

Noire: Now what? Those no chance that we won't make that collision even if you jump and if we slow down we're doomed!

The woman who was tending to her baby hears noise and looks up to see Noire and (Y/N) approaching her at a fast pace as she screams in fright. (Y/N) looks back and forth as his options were limited here.

(Y/N): Grrrr. . . Looks I don't have a choice! Sorry, but we're going to have to crash through. . .! Or maybe. . . Noire!! Hold on tight!!

Noire: Huh?!

(Y/N): Slamming Surge!

(Y/N) pulls out his sword and he makes his hoverboard deform into a panel as he grabs it before slamming his sword down towards the ground. However, doing that caused the two of them to lunge into the air due to the power of the shockwave that (Y/N) caused. As they do, the baby inside of the carriage that was crying looks up and he sees (Y/N) and Noire flying over as it watches them in shock. (Y/N) gives a nervous smile at the baby before he looks back ahead of himself to see that Noire and him were falling towards the ground.

(Y/N): Now!

(Y/N) throws his panel down and makes his hoverboard reappear as he lands on it and Noire with him as they sped off once more. The woman who was pushing the baby carriage stared in shock before falling over on her back scarred from what she just witness while the baby that was inside of the carriage had a happy look on it's face and it let out happy squeaks.

As (Y/N) and Noire were still being chased, Noire grips herself on (Y/N) tightly who could feel her pressed up against his back as he blushes just a little.

(Y/N): (This closeness. . . Noire actually smells kind of nice. . . and this soft feeling on my back. . .)

Noire could slightly see (Y/N) with a goofy smile on his face as she gives him a really pissed off look.

Noire: You're thinking of something dirty!! You are, aren't you?!

(Y/N) breaks out of his stupor and holds his watch in Noire's direction with widened eyes.

(Y/N): N-Not at all!! Make the call, please!

Noire: Now I'm debating whether I want to cut your hand off or not. . .

(Y/N): Not the time!! Please just make the call!

Noire lifts one of her fingers up towards (Y/N)'s wrist as she continues to dial up K-Sha so that she can track down Canker for them.

Location: Lastation's Basilicom

Back at the Basilicom, it was probably very convenient timing for the ones on the run as K-Sha was actually already at the Basilicom looking for Noire as she was speaking with Kei.

K-Sha: Noire isn't here?

Kei: No, unfortunately not. She was indeed supposed to be back here along with Uni and (Y/N) as I sent them out on a little mission earlier, but even if they were struggling a bit with it, it's honestly not something that they can't handle from my knowledge.

K-Sha: You think something happened to them?

Kei: It's likely, but they haven't contacted me or anyone else around here ever since they were gone. You might as well go out and look for them on your own, K-Sha.

K-Sha: Oh, my sweet Noire. Where have you gone?

Kei sweatdrops from that with a nervous smile on how K-Sha is really more worried about Noire than she is about the other two. However, they both suddenly hear a ringtone that sounded like Noire's theme coming from K-Sha's phone as she pulls it out from her pocket to see that it was (Y/N) who was calling her.

K-Sha: (It's not Noire, but. . . it's not as if (Y/N) isn't my friend. . .)

Kei: Oh, speak of the devil. Looks like you're getting a message from one of them after all.

K-Sha answers her phone as she puts it to her ear.

K-Sha: Hello?

(Y/N): Are you there, K-Sha?!

K-Sha heard (Y/N) in distress as that did concern her a little bit.

K-Sha: (Y-Y/N)? What's the matter?

(Y/N): I don't have a lot of time to explain, but Noire and I are getting chased by something that bastard Canker made that tracks down Share energy like crazy! It already got Uni and now it's coming after us!!

K-Sha: Oh my goodness! That's does sound like trouble! I-Is Noire perfectly fine?

Noire: *sighs* Yes, K-Sha. . . I'm here as well so you don't have anything to worry about.

K-Sha: *smiles* Noire!

Noire: Good to see you too! Now K-Sha, we need your help so that we can take out Canker and save Uni!

K-Sha gets a serious look on her face.

K-Sha: I-I'll do anything if it means helping you out! What should I do?

Noire: Canker should be hiding somewhere in Lastation! We don't know where, but find any kind of leads and turn your tracker on so that we can head towards your location! We're counting on you right now, K-Sha!

K-Sha: Don't worry, Noire! I won't let you down!

K-Sha hangs up and Kei also heard the entire thing as she gets a small smile on her face.

Kei: Well, I suppose you coming to the Basilicom wasn't a waste after all as I do have some possible clues that you can use to find the general that they were talking about.

K-Sha: Really? Tell me! I need to help, Noire!

Kei: *mumbles* . . .(Y/N) and Uni as well.

Kei then clears her throat before getting her smug demeanor back.

Kei: I'll tell you what you need if you give me some information that I want first. . .

K-Sha gives Kei a really creepy growl from that remark as Kei just sweats a little while waving her hands out.

Kei: K-Kidding! I know that this is urgent! Look, a few days ago some reports came up of the Virus Empire quartering themselves into a hotel taking over some of the rooms that formerly belong to some citizens here. You're best bet would be to interrogate someone there.

K-Sha: A hotel. Got it!

K-Sha immediately leaves out of the Basilicom to go and pursue the targets that (Y/N) and Noire wanted her to find and as she leaves Kei just sighs.

Kei: I sense somewhat of a wild goose chase happening. . .

Location: Lastation City

Noire and (Y/N) were still on the run as they make a right turn and go right through a nearby alleyway. The needles were still chasing them as they don't know how much longer they're going to have to stay like this.

Noire: This is getting ridiculous! It just doesn't give up!

(Y/N): They're the Virus Empire, Noire! Giving up is not an option for them! And neither is it for us! We're not going down whatever it takes for us to reach Canker and kick his ass!

Just as he says that though, the two of them gasp as they see yet another problem ahead of them as there was a dead end to the road that they were on, meaning that they can go nowhere, but up or even turn around.

Noire: Dead end?! Now?!

Noire looks behind them to see that the needles haven't caught up with them which was a good sign for now.

Noire: Those pointy things haven't caught up with us quite yet, but they're going to appear towards us eventually!

(Y/N): In that case, we'll have to take a little detour!

(Y/N) stops at the dead end that he was approaching and he instantly turns around to go back at the same speed that he was just going at, but as he does the needle missiles were coming straight towards the two and this scared Noire greatly as she doesn't think they can get out of this situation now.

Noire: Dammit! I knew they were still behind us!!

(Y/N) however, chuckles which makes Noire look at him confused.

Noire: What's so funny?

(Y/N): The funny thing about this is that there is still no problem for us to get away.

Noire: What are you talking about?! Seconds away and those things are going to drain you dry, (Y/N)!

(Y/N): I don't think so. . . Watch this!

(Y/N) makes his hoverboard deform into a panel once more before he yells out yet another one of his skills while Noire was holding onto him.

(Y/N): Crazy Combo!!

(Y/N) uses this skill to quickly drill his way underneath the ground for a second with Noire still holding onto him and just like that. . . they popped right back out of the ground before making his hoverboard appear again. He throws it and hops onto it before taking off once more while the needles changed their direction so that they can continue chasing (Y/N) who went right under them.

(Y/N): Just as I thought, its only goal is to just take my Share energy, so it's not entirely smart at chasing us.

Noire: I see what you mean. It's still a machine and all kinds of machines take time to think. So that would mean that some of the time it would take a second for it to reprocess where we are. Like a moth attracted to a light. It really is chasing us endlessly.

(Y/N): Considering that I turned right when I came this way, we're going to have to backtrack so I'm taking a left.

(Y/N) does so as the needles were actually starting to get closer and closer to them by inches which shocked Noire.

Noire: (Y/N), it's gaining on us!

(Y/N): Dammit! I don't really know how long it will take K-Sha to find where Canker is, but this is really our only option! There is still no biggie here!

Suddenly, the two heard some sputtering which gave them surprised looks as it was coming from (Y/N)'s hoverboard as they both looked down at it.

(Y/N): Wh-What's happening? My hoverboard is acting weird!

Noire: Oh no!! Our speed is dropping even more!

(Y/N): What?! How?! I'm commanding my hoverboard to accelerate, but how does the speed keep dropping?!

Noire: Don't tell me. . . did you overwork it and now it's broken!

(Y/N) looks down at his hoverboard and takes a closer look at it to see if it was on and it apparently was which made him raise an eyebrow.

(Y/N): No! It's not broken. And I can tell because the lights are illuminating from the inside.

Noire: Then why are we losing speed?! As this rate, we'll come to a complete stop and get our Shares drained!

Noire says this as she looks back and the needles were coming closer towards them as it made her eyes widen and sweat as well. (Y/N) sweats as well before he looks behind himself to see that the sputtering sound was coming from behind his hoverboard which gave him an idea.

(Y/N): Hold on. . . Could it be. . .?

(Y/N) summons out his sword and pokes a hole from the bottom of his hoverboard to see that there were tiny leaks of gasoline coming out of it which just made him sigh with relief while Noire gasped at what she was seeing.

Noire: We're out of gas?!

(Y/N) sighs with a smile on his face.

(Y/N): *sighs* Yeah. . . My own device shouldn't scare me like that. We're just out of gas. . . What a relief. . .

Noire glares at (Y/N) not being serious about what they are witnessing.

Noire: We are out of gas, you moron!!! How can you be so calm about this!?

(Y/N): *chuckles* Calm is the exact word that you should feel right now as well, my friend. There is still no problem to this as our answer to solving this is straight ahead.

Noire looks straight ahead of (Y/N) to see that there is a parked car up ahead with no one in it or around which made her blink as kind of knows what (Y/N) is planning.

(Y/N): I don't really want to steal anything, but. . . its got to be done! *smiles* There'll be no problem escaping this at all!

(Y/N) and Noire jump off of (Y/N)'s hoverboard as their trajectory was headed straight towards the car. (Y/N) smirks at this and Noire looks at him slightly annoyed as she can't predict at this point what he is planning.

Noire: Let me guess. . . Still no problem. . .?

(Y/N): Hehehehe~ Still no problem~

(Y/N) uses Golden Knuckle to bust through one of the back doors of the car as both Noire and (Y/N) crashed into the car. Once they were in the seats, (Y/N) looks back to see that Canker's needles were still zeroed onto him which makes him smirk as he opens the door that was on the other side, pulls Noire with him and they get out before (Y/N) slams the car door back shut and once he did, he sees that the needles were trying to rip through the car, as the pointy ends were sticking out of the car which shocked him.

(Y/N): Geez, those things are durable if they can bust through metal. . . but like I said, we still don't have a problem here.

(Y/N) walks over to where the fuel tank was in the back of the car and he summons out his hoverboard and tips it up vertically before using Golden Knuckle again to bust the fuel tank open and gasoline starts to pour out into (Y/N)'s hoverboard and Noire watches with astonishment that (Y/N) was able to plan all of this in just a short amount of time. She then looks at the needles as they were trying to dig themselves out of the car.

Noire: We can't get too calm since those things are stronger than they look and they can also warp as well.

(Y/N) finishes fueling up his hoverboard with gas as he smiles and starts it back up as he gets on it.

(Y/N): True, but now our time is extended for K-Sha to find Canker and track him down.

Some beeping then came from (Y/N)'s watch as he presses it and sees that K-Sha sent him a message. He opens it to find that she has pinpointed a location for them to meet her at which surprises (Y/N).

(Y/N): Or even more time! Looks like K-Sha has found where our culprit is!

Noire was surprised to hear that as well before she smiles from this and walks over to get back on (Y/N)'s hoverboard as he helps her onto it. Noire wraps her arms around (Y/N)'s body again to prevent herself from falling.

Noire: Well, what are we waiting for? We've got my little sister to save so step on it, (Y/N)!

(Y/N) nods as he takes off again at full speed and as he does Noire looks at (Y/N) and blushes a little.

Noire: (Now I get why Neptune sees (Y/N) as a guy who is hard to not even have a ounce of hate for. . . He's so calm and even though he's somewhat of a reckless idiot. . . he finds what he can to protect us as he sees us as friends, not goddesses that he just has a job to protect.)

Noire then realized what she was thinking as she puffs her cheeks out a little bit.

Noire: (N-Not that I'm actually complimenting him or anything. . .)

Location: Lastation Hotel

Inside of a hotel that was in the city of Lastation, K-Sha has arrived to find that there was indeed a group of Virus brutes hanging out in the lobby and the people around were just giving them weird and uneasy looks. K-Sha knows that she needs to press them for answers so she walks up to them to try and butt in on their conversation.

Virus Brute: Have you heard? Apparently our general has two CPUs on the run here and he's stated that he's already taken care of one.

Virus Brute 2: Really? Which one was it?

Virus Brute: The CPU Candidate.

Virus Brute 3: Hah! The brats are easy targets. They're naive, they're reckless, and on top of that they don't even realize how dense they are.

Virus Brute: I know, right? Once General Canker has seized the Share energy of Black Heart and Gold Heart, this'll be our permanent hangout place boys!

K-Sha: Um, excuse me. . .

All of the Virus brutes turn to look at K-Sha and one of them actually took a little interest in K-Sha as he steps up towards her leaning up against a wall while smirking at her.

Virus Brute 3: Well, speak of the devil. You seem like a cute, obedient little school girl. How would ya like for us to change your clothes for you so you look more red than you already are~?

K-Sha: *giggles* I'm flattered, but I'll turn down the offer. Thank you. I actually couldn't help, but overhear that your general that resides in this nation is chasing after the CPU, correct?

Virus Brute: What if he is? It's his job to eliminate the CPUs after all as we're trying to get adorable young folks like you to understand that the Virus Empire is the better nation here.

K-Sha: Oh, I was just wondering if you would be so kind as to tell me where your general is hiding if you don't mind.

This made all three of the brutes look at each other with weird looks as that seemed awfully suspicious on why she would ask that all of a sudden.

Virus Brute: Sorry, but that's classified information.

Virus Brute 3: If you're looking to become one of our first human recruits then we'll be glad to tell Canker to sign you up.

K-Sha: Really? Why is that??

Virus Brute 2: He fears that any leads towards him will get the CPUs on his tail, so we're just here to stand guard in case they find out where his hiding place is on the rooftops.

K-Sha smirks a little as the Virus brute just completely contradicted what he just said.

K-Sha: (If only what you understood what was right in front of you. . .) Awwww~ Even if I politely say please. . . you won't tell me?

The third brute was getting ready to tell K-Sha the information just from how cute that he thinks that she is, but the first one covered his mouth before glaring at K-Sha.

Virus Brute: No! Now scram! Even if you aren't associated with the CPUs we can't give you any information as that is way too damn risky for us!

K-Sha thinks to herself as she looks up into the air.

K-Sha: I see. . .

K-Sha then looks back at the Virus brutes with a big smile. . . before she pulls out one of her guns and points it at the brutes head.

K-Sha: Then die~

The Virus brute gasped from this and so did the others as K-Sha instantly pulled the trigger and shot one of them in the head while still keeping a smile on her face.

Virus Brute 2: What dafu-

This Virus Brute got shot in the head as well and disappeared into bits along with his friend as the people that were inside of the hotel all let out shocked murmurs or small screams as they can't believe that K-Sha is literally doing this now with people around. The third Virus Brute falls on his backside as he backs himself up to a wall clearly scared of K-Sha as she walks up to him with a sadistic smile on her face before pointing her gun at him.

K-Sha: I think you misunderstood what I was talking about in our conversation. I wasn't interested in your organization. I wanted you to tell me where your general for my precious Noire. I'm Lastation's Gold Third, K-Sha and Noire's destined lover, so if you don't mind I'll politely ask again for where Canker is, please~

Virus Brute 3: P-Please! Spare me!!

K-Sha then grabs the collar of the Virus brute before pointed her gun on its chin.

K-Sha: Ah, ah, ah~ The question please~ I would like for you to answer my question.

Virus Brute 3: I-I-I-I can't do that!! W-We have some pride as soldiers of the Virus Empire so we can't sell out our general!!

K-Sha: Well, that's admirable. So admirable that I suppose that you wouldn't mind taking that pride to the next realm. . .

K-Sha's eyes shrink down a bit as her smile gets even more sadistic.

K-Sha: And while you're there I'll be here using your head for a very special task. . . It'll be used as a memory that you didn't tell me the key to saving my Noire~ I'll be shooting it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again~

The Virus Brute freaks out from this as he squeals before putting his hands up.

Virus Brute 3: Okay!!! Fine!! Fine, you win!!! Canker is on the rooftops!!! Just look for a red satellite and he'll be right in front of it!!!

Suddenly, a loud crash was then heard which alarmed everybody in the room while K-Sha and the Virus Brute looked towards the entrance to see that Noire had used Fall Slash to shoot a projectile to break through the entrance of the Basilicom with (Y/N). K-Sha was surprised to see the two as she let's the Virus Brute go before standing up.

K-Sha: Noire! (Y/N)!

(Y/N): K-Sha! Thank goodness we made it!

Noire: Did you find out where Canker is hiding, K-Sha?!

K-Sha: Yes! He's up on the roofs near this hotel! Look for a red satellite and you'll find him!

(Y/N): *nods* Thanks a ton, K-Sha!

(Y/N) and Noire head straight for an opened elevator and K-Sha looks back to see that the needles that were still in pursuit of the two have arrived as well which made her gasp.

K-Sha: Hurry you two! The elevator should take you up to where the roof is!

(Y/N): Noire, dive!

Both of them do so as they both landed inside of the elevator and (Y/N)'s hoverboard turns back into a panel as he grabs it. As the two stand up, they see that the needles were getting ready to join them inside of the elevator, but (Y/N) wasn't about to let that happen as he made both of his arms glow (F/C) to increase his strength before grabs the elevator door and slams it shut. However, as he did that, one of the needles barely cut through the steel of the elevator which made Noire and (Y/N) gasp.

(Y/N): D-Dammit!

However, they heard something being dragged out as it was the needle which confused the two as it was pulled out completely. (Y/N) kneels down and looks through the hole that it made to see that it was K-Sha who was responsible for it. She was just struggling to pull it back though as it seemed to have a great grip.

K-Sha: *straining* Leave. . . my. . . Noire. . . alone!!

(Y/N) sees K-Sha helping both him and Noire and he just smiles at this before standing back up as the elevator took them upwards.

(Y/N): (You truly are someone that I can count on, K-Sha. As much you like to express your love for Noire, you do seem to care for your friends too.)

As the elevator went up, K-Sha was still struggling to pull on some of the needles, but they suddenly decided to change their trajectory which surprised her as they traveled upwards towards a metal vent. K-Sha bangs her head onto the ceiling vent, causing her to let go and drop down to the ground and she had swirls in her eyes and there were tiny little figures of Noire running around her head signaling that she was dizzy.

Noire's P.O.V.

Location: Lastation Rooftops

Up on the top of the hotel building, there was an elevator door there and it beeps to signal that (Y/N) and I have reached the top as it opens up to let both of us out and we both walked out of the elevator to look around for the red satellite that K-Sha told us about. I look to my right and I see something before I tap (Y/N)'s shoulder and he's turns to me as I quickly point in the distance to what looks to be exactly what we were looking for as there was a crimson funny looking satellite just a couple of rooftops over.

Noire: There's our target! Canker is probably there too! Come on!

(Y/N) and I quickly run and jump over some of the roofs as we were just right there.

(Y/N): That satellite is what we need to destroy as well! We're finally going to kick Canker's-

Suddenly, (Y/N) felt something stab his shoulder as he looks behind himself and so do I as I gasp to see that the needles have finally caught up to where they were targeting. More and more were coming out of the vents shocking us as this made me really worried for (Y/N).

Noire: (Y/N)!!

(Y/N): From the vents?!

(Y/N) yells out before he summons out his sword and tries to deflect each of the needles that were trying to pierce his body, but they were too fast for him to react as he tried walking more, but the more he did, the more he felt like he was getting paralyzed.

(Y/N): *weakly* You. . . bastard! I'm gonna. . . kick your. . . ass!!

(Y/N) was now in a state where he can't walk anymore as he falls down on his stomach and I run up to him and holds up one of his arms to try and help him up.

Noire: (Y/N)! I've got to get these things out of you!

(Y/N): *weakly* N-No! Noire. . . It's too late. . . now. You need. . . to defeat Canker. . . yourself.

Noire: What??

(Y/N): *weakly* Go on. I'll. . .  be fine right here. . .

Noire: What are you talking about?! I'm not leaving you here to die you idiot!

(Y/N): *weakly* No, Noire. You misunderstand. . . what I'm doing here. . . If there is still one of us. . . then we can all beat Canker. . . You're the one. . . who doesn't have. . . their Shares drained, so you take care of this for me. . .

(Y/N) coughs up some blood that turned golden, but back into red as it signals that (Y/N)'s energy was indeed getting drained faster than he was reproducing Share energy.

Noire: You look like you're going to faint! Why do you insist on sacrificing yourself like this?? What if you do that one time and we still lose?!

(Y/N): *weakly* *grunts* Noire. . . Listen to me. . . Having resolve. . . isn't about sacrifice. . . It's about. . . having the ability to open up a path through a dark wasteland!

I gasp from this as (Y/N) lays back down on the ground.

(Y/N): *weakly* Go, Noire. . . Finish. . . it!

I stare at (Y/N) really worried for him before I get a determined look on my face and I nod before transforming into my HDD form and I quickly fly off so that I can go and confront Canker. Just what was (Y/N) talking about with resolve though?

Black Heart (Noire): (Having resolve is the ability to open up a path through a dark wasteland? Don't make me laugh. What could that possibly even mean?)

At the satellite, Canker was controlling a little handheld device right beside the satellite and he presses a few buttons on it with a smirk as he knows that he's draining out (Y/N)'s Share energy. However, once he heard my voice, he doesn't hesitate to stop what he was doing.

Black Heart (Noire): Hey!!

General Canker: I was wondering when you were going to show up. . . Now. . .

Canker puts his device down and stands up before turning to me and he summons out some knives in his hands.

General Canker: Shall we start Round 2?

Black Heart (Noire): This one won't just be about me winning though! I'm going to make you pay for putting both of my friends in danger!

General Canker: Then come! All of your attempts will be futile as I will put an end to you in just one minute!

I summon out my sword as I charge straight at Canker who throws a bunch of knives at me. I use my sword to deflect one of them and I dodge a bunch more before one hits me in the ankle, but there was something off about it as once I moved again, I felt a tad bit weaker as I look down at the knives as they weren't the ones that Canker usual uses against us.

Black Heart (Noire): Huh?? What is this?

General Canker: I told you that I was prepared for this! You didn't think that I would put part of what I used on Gold Heart and your sister onto my weapons?! It was in case any of you actually found me! And now I'm going to use these to weaken you to the point where you can even be in your goddess form!

Canker throws another knife at Black Heart who quickly deflects it with her sword before she does a backflip in the air and comes back down with her skill Volcano Dive as she causes a blast of fire magic all around her to blast away both the knives and Canker as well. He then pulls out a blaster which shoots out a needle that was one of the ones that pierced the others which shocked me as I dodged to the side to avoid it, but it quickly turns back around towards me as I gain a worried expression at this.

Black Heart (Noire): Tornado Sword!

I activate this as I try to slice up the needle in two. . . but not even my Tornado Sword was able to pierce the thing open as I gasped from this before using my sword to knock it away from me. Canker doing his best that he can to overwhelm me and it's working as he is a knife throwing maniac along with that annoying little device that he's got. Damn it! Now I wish that (Y/N) actually helped me instead of telling me to leave him behind. I don't get what he was saying at all.

Black Heart (Noire): Damn you, (Y/N)! What is this resolve that you kept talking about?! I can't see it anywhere! I'm trying my hardest and all that it's doing is bouncing back at me!

General Canker: Oh? Getting cold feet are we, CPU of Lastation?

Black Heart (Noire): Don't test me! I don't care how much you are going to talk as the only that will truly be inevitable here is me taking you down! (I need to know what (Y/N) is talking about though! What resolve?! As much as I love to antagonize my opponents, that's not resolve either! That's just something that I love to do! There has to be a key to his little sentence, but what is it?!)

Canker throws more knives at me as another pierces right onto my shoulder as I grunt in pain and take it out before throwing it off to the side. I can feel my power slowly being taken away from me the more that I get it. I look off to the side and see that the needle that Canker shot at me was coming back right after I had knocked it away, so I use Fall Slash to deflect it towards another direction again. Even I'll admit, this is getting tedious. I'm looking and thinking all around for answers to what (Y/N) was telling me.

At this point, I just want to give up on it and beat this scumbag. As I slid back though, I look at Canker and I suddenly remembered something that (Y/N) told me once we got out of that elevator.

(Y/N): (In Black Heart's Mind) Calm is the exact word that you should feel right now as well, my friend. There is still no problem to this as our answer to solving this is straight ahead.

I take a deep breath to regain my composure as I look straight ahead of me while keeping my cool as I look straight behind Canker to see that it was the satellite that I'm looking at now. As I do, I stare at it before doing a backflip to dodge some more knives coming my way. It took me a little bit. . . but I remember something else that (Y/N) told me as it made me give a slight gasp.

(Y/N): (In Black Heart's Mind) That satellite is what we need to destroy as well!

There's something in that sentence that is probably the key to winning this battle. . . and I think that I found it. Canker is just standing right in front of the satellite and the term "as well" in that sentence. . .

Black Heart (Noire): *gasps* (Wait. . . That's it!)

As I realize this, another knife gets thrown into my side as I grunt in pain from this. If I take too much more of these then I'll never use that resolve that (Y/N) was talking about.

General Canker: *chuckles mischievously* You're getting more and more weaker as this dance goes on, Black Heart! Do you still have enough resolve. . .

He pulls out the same blaster from before which made me gasp.

General Canker: To resist THIS!!

He shoots it at me and it me point blank in the arm which hurts like crazy. . . but all I can do is smirk. It seems that Canker forgot the first one that he shot out as I see it in the air out the corner of my eye. Once it was close enough. . . I jump up to grab it and I do a double twist flip in the air before throwing it hard like a pitch towards Canker's helmet. . . and it pierce right the center of his helmet. Due to the how big the needle was like a plant radish. . . it was stuck to his vizor and his vision was blocked now.

General Canker: Gah!! What the. . . I-I can't see!

Black Heart (Noire): I see it now, (Y/N)! The resolve that you were referring to! I have it right here! If you hadn't given it to me, then I wouldn't have see this exact path that I can take! The path where I try and defeat Canker. . . and the machine along with him!! Fall Slash!!

I shoot this projectile straight at Canker who takes the hit and he was knocked back onto the satellite. I then needed him to stay on there as I grab one of the knives that was on me and I threw that back onto one of Canker's arms as he yells out in pain from it. Now he has nowhere to run at all. I can take him out along with the satellite without a problem. He grabs the needle thing that was on his face to try and take it off, but he should know that from his own invention that that thing is super hard to pull off.

Black Heart (Noire): You asked me if I had the resolve earlier. What do you think this is you imbecile? I'll show YOU and I'll show (Y/N) who has the bigger resolve here!! You'll have to show me some too if you want to put up a good fight!!

General Canker: (Wh-What is this bitch thinking?! She can still stand after all of those hits that I've poisoned her with?! No. . . She going to force him into my own machine so that she can save both of her allies at the same time!! What the hell! She's really determined to finish me off like this! I need to get this thing off of my face and counterattack!)

Canker pulls out some knives from his hand that was free and he throws them straight ahead of himself as he can tell that I haven't left my spot. He then throws some more upward which I didn't pay attention to, so I deflect a couple of them with my weapon, but that's exactly what he wanted as they ricocheted back towards me using the knives that he threw up into the air and I end up taking more hits before use Fall Slash again to push him in some more. I feel weak, but I still have energy to finish him off. I'm about to prepare for the worst as I take a deep breath and close my eyes and I think of (Y/N) before I open my eyes again telling myself that I am ready.

Black Heart (Noire): THIS is the true resolve of Lastation's CPU!!!

Canker and I yell as I charge ahead and he throws some more knives as I deflect them all like crazy. We were both taking the same amount of hits that were from all of the knives that were in the air before I jump into the air come down with a downwards kick while yelling out the move that will finish him off.

Black Heart (Noire): Tornado Chain!!!

I activate this as I even sent a few sword slashes towards Canker. He threw another knife into my thigh which I felt before backflipping away. I was almost out of power as I kneel down. I could feel myself changing back any second. . . but no I'm going to finish this. I slowly lift two pinched fingers. . . and I snapped them to activate the last part of the skill where the enemy feels a wave of sword slashes onto them. Canker yells out in pain. . . and the machine breaks as well as not only was there was huge opening in the core, but the satellite tips down meaning that it was inoperable.

Black Heart (Noire): *panting* See? I told you. . . that I was going to win this one. . . you imbecile!

I say that as I can barely stand back up.

Black Heart (Noire): (Y/N) and Uni should be fine now. . . so I'll go and get (Y/N) to heal me first then Uni when we go and get there.

I was just about to fly back. . . until I heard Canker's voice as he raises his arm into the air.

General Canker: *weakly* N-No. . . CPU. . . of Lastation. . . The one with the bigger resolve. . . was me!

I gasp from this as I turn to see that Canker was still able to talk and move as I thought I had finished him off already. He then sounded like he was getting a lot better before as he sits us as well.

General Canker: You know. . . I commend you for pushing me this far, but I took advantage of all of the hits that you used with my own weapons against me!

He says this as he stands up and his body was glowing red which made me gasp.

General Canker: I let them stay inside of me so that I could use the Virus energy from them. . . to HEAL my wounds instead of hurting me!! You may have destroyed my machine, but I'm still going to finish you off by any means necessary!!! Even if I have to-

He quickly pulls out his blaster and shoots me. . . straight through where I stomach area was as the needle went straight through me which made me gasp and exclaim in extreme pain as I yell!

Black Heart (Noire): KYAHHH!!!

General Canker: PIERCE RIGHT THROUGH THE FLESH OF YOUR BODY!

Suddenly, the hole was in my body glows golden. . . and just disappears as the wound just vanished which shocked Canker as he looks closely at it.

General Canker: Wait. . . There's no wound??? *gasps*

I nearly pass out and fall over as I fell into someone's arms. . . I looked up. . . and it was (Y/N) who had his eyes closed, but had a serious expression.

General Canker: Wha. . .?

Black Heart (Noire): (Y-. . . (Y/N)?

(Y/N) gently lays me down onto the ground before standing back up to turn to Canker. He slowly walks towards him as a golden aura appears around him and his hair flows as well.

(Y/N): Noire. . . You were winning against the enemy. . . because you clearly had the stronger resolve here. . . It was shining brighter than the sun itself. . . I could feel it! And now. . . it's shining on the path. . . THAT WE ARE MEANT TO TAKE!

General Canker: WHAT THE HELL?!?! THIS CAN'T BE REAL!!

(Y/N): Canker! Your efforts to defeat us are. . .

(Y/N) transforms into Gold Heart and he pins Canker onto the satellite before using his Golden Combo skill to finish him off for good.

Gold Heart (Y/N): MUDA! MUDA! MUDA! MUDA! MUDA! MUDA! MUDA! MUDA! MUDA! MUDA! MUDA! MUDA! MUDAAAA!

One last punch from the move and Canker yells out in extreme pain as the entire machine that Canker built blows up and he was sent flying into the air like a rocket going into space. Once he disappears into the sky, Gold Heart looks in the direction of where he flew off to before he turns back into his human form as (Y/N). I was on the ground watching the whole thing as I smile at (Y/N).

Black Heart (Noire): (You know. . . up until just recently I thought of you as just some newbie CPU who just came out of awakening after so long. . . but now I realize that you're way much more than that. Every action that you do. . . every word that you tell us. . . it has some meaning to it when it comes to doing your part as not just a CPU. . . but also as a someone who knows that they see us as way more. . . The resolve that you gave me (Y/N) almost sounds like the one Neptune gives us as well. . . You're not half bad at all as CPU, (Y/N). . .)

(Y/N) comes over to me and sees that I'm still injured as he kneels down to me and activates his Heal skill to fix up my wounds. I change back into my normal form and I sit up before I look at (Y/N) who blushes and rubs the back of his head while looking away.

(Y/N): U-Um, Noire. . . Never mind. . . We should go and get Uni as she's probably waited too long for us. . .

I think that he probably thought that I would be embarrassed after his bold actions, but to be honest I didn't really feel any right there. I look to the side wondering if I should say it and after what he did for me. . . I suppose that it wouldn't be so bad to express more gratitude than I should.

Noire: (Y/N). . .

(Y/N): What is it??

I then blush as I decided to do something that I never really considered doing (Y/N) as I slowly wraps my arms around him to hug him which surprised him. However, I didn't want to stay like that for too long as I instantly break it apart before crossing my arms and looking away from (Y/N).

Noire: That. . . was for saving me. . . and my sister too. . . again.

(Y/N) was shocked to hear that I didn't use any tsundere lines like I normally do as he just smiles at me with that bright smirk that he always has and I'm trying my best to not be captivated by it.

(Y/N): No problem, Noire. As a friend who has helped me as well, you mean a lot to me. Know that I won't ever think twice about helping you or not, okay?

I simply smile and nod from that, but only briefly as I then mumbled something else.

Noire: *mumbles* Um. . . Thanks for today. . .

(Y/N): What was that?

Noire: N-Nothing! Come on, enough talking! Uni's waiting for us!

I walk ahead of (Y/N) who shrugs his shoulder at my suddenly change in mood, but as I walk ahead of him. . . I smile again as I can't stop thinking of how great he is as a CPU to me.

Third P.O.V.

Location: Lastation's Basilicom

Time: Afternoon

After grabbing Uni, (Y/N) and Noire returned back to the Basilicom and Uni was a little too weak to do any work, so Noire allowed her to take a nap for the rest of the afternoon. Uni wanted to help Noire with some chores, but (Y/N) insisted that she should rest as they all have had a long day today. An hour after they said that, they were back near Uni's room as they both peeked inside to see her asleep which made sigh in relief that she took the rest. They both close the door before turning to each other.

Noire: Should we wake her up to ask her how she is feeling now? Uni may not be as tough as I am, but I know that she can regain stamina well.

(Y/N): Nah, let her sleep. After a day like today, I think that she's earned plenty of rest.

Noire looks at (Y/N) a little surprised before she smiles at him.

Noire: You're too kind.

(Y/N): I guess I'll get some rest too. Don't overwork yourself or you might sleepwalk again, Noire.

(Y/N) said that with a smirk as Noire's eyes widen and she blushes before turning her head to hide it.

Noire: W-Who said that you could bring that up?! I don't need any concern for something as stupid as that! . . .B-But, I'm. . . glad that you're worried about me though.

(Y/N): Hehe~ Noire said she was glad~

That teasing tone got Noire to blush even harder a she stomps at him.

Noire: Ugh! If you're going to go to bed then do it already, idiot! Or do you need me to send you to bed?!

(Y/N): Uh oh. . .

Noire started chasing (Y/N) around the area of the Basilicom as he was begging for Noire to spare him of some pounding that she wanted to give him. As she chases him though, Noire smiles as a thought rings into her mind.

Noire: (You know. . . (Y/N) and I don't get to hang out often alone. . . perhaps I should ask him more if he wants to do anything together during my free time.
