Evan's POV-

Dark...

Cold...

I c-can't see...

Where's J-Jonathan..?

I feel so alone...

"J-Jonathan?" I yelled out to him. I wasn't even sure if he was around to hear me but I wanted to see him. I rubbed my eyes and when I opened my eyes again I was expecting blackness but I saw a light shine a little table with a phone in it. I was so confused as in why there was a light out of nowhere but I ignored it and slowly started walking towards it.

When I reached the little table and saw the phone I realized it was my own phone. I unlocked the phone and all of my apps were deleted and for some reason, the only app I could open was my messages and the only contact I had was a random number. The first message was sent immediately when I opened the app and it read:

I see you are awake.

I was so confused as in how that person knew I was awake since the room was dark but I was even more confused as in why the fuck that person has my phone.

Who are you?

I texted back while looking around to see if anyone is close by.

I am no one important, really. What I am going to propose to you is, in fact, more important.

What is it? Where am I?

You are inside your own mind. I pushed all of your thoughts and memories aside so you could focus on what I am about to tell you.

Am I dead??

I started breathing fast and my hands started getting sweaty and shaky. The fact that I won't be able to see Jonathan ever again made me shakier and I felt tears threaten to fall out of my eyes.

You will die if you are not quiet.

Continue, please.

That is more like it.

With that being said, the room, or my mind, got bright enough so I could see around me but everything was white. No furniture or anything just me and... that's it. It's just me. All of a sudden, a hologram appeared in front of me from when I first saw Jonathan in the Hospital or Asylum we used to be in. It was me when I first saw Jonathan in that place. The hologram was the table and it was only me and him sitting down. I could hear the first conversations and then the rest of the guys appeared and they sat down. I got close to the memory and when I got close to Jonathan I gently raised my hand towards his face but when I barely touched the memory it disappeared and I blinked back the tears that wanted to flow out of my eyes. Then I got angry all of a sudden. "Where's Jonathan?!" I yelled at the voice with rage.

The room got dark again and I couldn't see anything in front of me. The room got bright again but instead of everything being white it turned red. I could see a silhouette of someone in a distance and when it turned around my face turned from calmness to confusion. That person was so familiar because it was me. When the person that looked exactly like me walked towards me he had a small smirk. "Hello, Evan. My name is also Evan, a pleasure to meet you." He said and raised his hand so I could shake it. I slowly raised my hand and shook it with confusion.

He then placed his arms behind his back and started walking, slowly, around me. "This is a very important decision you have to make. It will probably be very hard for you but I do not care." He said and I started sweating. "First thing is first, you will have to visualize this while I speak." He said and then a hologram of me appeared in front of me. "You can go back to your old life. The life in which your parents are actually normal people but they are still rich and you will go to the best school and best University you can ever think of." He said and the hologram of me was hugging my parents and then it switched to me accepting a diploma from a University. He continued speaking but this time, everything was horrible.

"On the other hand, you could stay with your powers and with your Jonathan but everything will be a nightmare. Some people will not accept you and your friends since you guys will be considered monsters or aliens and you will be hunted by scientist to do experiments on you. Some people will most likely be afraid of you and hide." The hologram changed to me and my friends walking to a store and people running away from us and some people yelling at us and calling us freaks. Then, we were running away or flying away from some black SUV's while getting shot at. It was a total nightmare and I wouldn't wish for that but I want to stay with Jonathan. When he stopped walking around me he was in front of me with a smile. "You choose. Do you want life A; with the wonderful life? Or do you want life B; with the nightmare?"

My head started to hurt and my breath was shaky. I want to have a normal life so badly but I love Jonathan. I can't just let him go out of my life, after all, we suffered together in that miserable place and we will stay together during our nightmare called life. I was looking down at the floor and when I raised my head to tell him my decision he wasn't there. I looked around and the room I was in started fading to whiteness. I looked at my hands and they started to turn invisible. "W-What's h-happening?!" I yelled. "W-What's this!" The last thing I heard was, "You will live a nightmare if Jonathan lives... I never said he will live..."

I then sat up quickly from a bed and yelled out, "Jonathan!" I opened my eyes and while I was breathing fast I saw I was in a white room and Tyler, Craig, Brock, and Brian were sitting down next to me. "Evan, you're awake!" Craig said and hugged me while everyone else was shocked. When Craig stopped hugging me he had on a worried face. "Are you okay, Evan? It looks like you've seen death himself." Craig said. "I think I have... Where's Jonathan and the rest?" I said and looked at them. "Jonathan's, um, in a hospital room with the rest of the guys. The doctors said you were going to be in a coma for some time but that you were going to be fine. Jonathan in the other hand..." Tyler said and his voice faded and turned to look at Mini. Mini took in a deep breath and looked at me with sadness. "The doctors said Jonathan is in critical condition and that h-he will p-probably not make it-" Craig immediately ran towards Tyler to hug him while crying and Tyler hugged him back while rubbing Mini's back. Brock and Brian sighed and put their heads down. My heart started racing and then some tears started falling out of my eyes. "F-For how long was I in a coma?" I said. "For about a month," Brock said. I had some wires plugged into my arm and when I removed them my heart monitor went flatlined and the annoying sound started flooding the room. I stepped on the floor but when I did my legs were a bit weak. I placed my hand on the hospital bed and then Brian ran towards me and stopped me. "Look, dude, I know you're devastated for what happened to Jonathan but it isn't okay for you to walk right now," Brian said. I looked at him and when I sat down on the hospital bed the door was slammed open by some doctors but when they saw me away they relaxed a bit.

"We thought you were going to die." One of the doctors said. He started speaking to another doctor in another language, which I think is Portuguese. "Where am I?" I said to the doctor. He turned towards me and said, "You're in Brazil. Some people found you and your friends inside the Amazon forest. You were lucky they found you and the other patient, Jonathan, in time." He walked towards the heart monitor and turned it off, making the room go silent. "Well, we're still not sure if your friend Jonathan is going to survive but we're trying our best. We are not miracle workers." He said and when he was about to leave I told him to stop. "Where's my friend, Jonathan, located?" I said and he turned to look at me. "I'll send someone to give you clothes and then I'll come back to show you his room since I do need to check on him later." He said and this time I let him leave. The room went quiet again and I laid down on the bed again, covering my eyes with my hands. "Where were you guys staying at all this time?" I said to them. "When the strangers spotted us, half-dying, they offered us some shelter since they knew we weren't from here. Since then, when it turned night-time we head towards their house and we sometimes help them out with chores or at work." Tyler told me. I sighed and then the door opened and a nurse handed me some new clothes.

I changed into the clothes that the nurse handed me and then the doctor came inside the room. "Evan, are you ready?" He said and I nodded. The guys came along so I wasn't alone. When we arrived at the door the doctor looked at me. "I need you to relax. I don't want you to freak out or anything." He said and I took in a deep breath. I was kind of shaky and my breath started to increase. I was so scared but I needed to see him. If he might die, then at least I want to remember his beautiful face.

The doctor opened the door and I saw the rest of the guys sitting down on chairs and when they turned to look at the door their eyes were wide. I didn't look at them immediately since the first person I saw was Jonathan laying down on the hospital bed with wires on his arm, looking even paler than ever. I slowly walked to his side, feeling as if I barely knew how to walk. Marcel was nice enough to move out of his chair and place it closer to Jonathan so I could sit in it. When I sat down I immediately broke down into tears and placed my head on his other arm were no wires were placed. "I-I'm so s-sorry, J-Jonathan. I could've protected you but I-I f-failed you..." I softly whispered to him, even if I knew he wouldn't be able to hear me. I heard one of the guys say I needed to be alone so everyone left. The only sound in the room were my sobs and the heart monitor.

Beep... Beep... Beep... Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep.
