chapter 9
Over the next several months it stayed that way for both Pandora and Salem. Every couple of days they would find excuses to see each other. Most of the time Kadrid would shake her head or try to hide her soft giggling from how strange those two were acting. Things went on in perfect bliss for the better half of the year. They were happy, learning from each other in a spiritual and mental way. He taught her anything magically that she wished to know. She loved just being near him and the dragon, almost like an extended family.
Three days later
Kadrid nodded to the warlock as she left the cave tower, on the familar path to get the immortal sorceress for another potion's lesson. The dragon was more than happy to oblige with this request. She loved pandora, a great friend to both her and her warlock. She flew with agile speed and presision. She enjoyed the girl talk with pandora. It was nice to talk to her about girl issues. When Kadrid had arrived she knocked on the door of the cottage, rattling the windows slightly. She waited but her friend didn't come to the door. That was strange, any other time the witch was more than ready to see Salem. She tried another tactic, this time stomping her feet like a human child having a fit of anger. There was still no response. The dragon peeked in the small windows, the hybrid sorceress wasn't in there. She took to the skies without hesitation.
She flew faster than her usual speed out of worry. That wasn't like Pandora to just not be there waiting for her. She feared something might have happened to her. Panic filled her thoughts, it took her a minute to focus and really think of what to do next. She forced her wings to fly harder, she needed to get home as fast as possible. Her only logical option would be to share this information with Salem, he would know what to do.
