~Dreaming/Flashback~

Vanoss Pov:

Darkness has alway been the first place my pure and innocent crimson red eyes have ever seen. My flaming heart has always been a glimmer of hope through the Darkness but always in the distance just out of my reach. And like always... I chase after it. But why? Don't I already have it? And if so... why am I chasing after it?

I slowly open my red crimson eyes while constantly blinking a couple of times to clear up the image in front of me. The focused picture faintly reminds me of something extremely important but I can't remember what?! It was a dark and stormy night sky with ominous clouds hanging above me. I cautiously walked onto an empty road with some crumbling buildings on the side along a dirt sidewalk. Is this Utopia? Why am I here? The hybrids of Utopia gathered themselves outside of their homes while a huge crowd of hybrids rally on the dirt sidewalk. None of the hybrids ever dare to take a single step on the empty road while I was walking on it with someone carefully holding onto my small hand. Looks like the whole town came out to see us but this wasn't a joyful scene. All of the hybrids have sorrowful expressions on their faces while tears run rapidly down their eyes. Why?! I was so worried and confused about what was happening. Did I miss something? Suddenly I felt a strong hand quickly tighten around my small one. I swiftly glance up to behold a young lady wearing a long black coat. She kept her emotionless face on the empty road. " Mom," I lightly tug on her long black coat with my other hand, "why are the people crying? Is it because of us?" I worriedly finish saying while staring at her with concern. She didn't respond to me. She only kept her cold golden eyes on the empty road. I wanted some answers but something told me to stop asking.

We slowly and quietly walked in silence until our feet met at the end of a long bridge heading towards a huge tree with colorful leaves. "Mom, can you please tell me! What happened? I'm scared." I fearfully say while quickly wrapping my shaking arms around her legs. "Don't worry, sweetie. Just stay strong." She softly says while gently removing my arms away from her then slowly continuing to walk again. I quickly chase after her while grabbing her soft hand. Then half way along the long bridge, she suddenly stops walking, slowly letting go of my trembling hand and quietly standing in front of me with her back turned against me. "Stay here." She says softly with a serious tone while slowly walking away for me. She swiftly enters into the huge tree while I quietly wait for her on the long bridge. I quickly glance up at the starry night sky then slowly glance down at the top of the huge tree. This tree is definitely not normal. The beautiful and colorful leaves of the tree are ocean blue, crimson red, cloudy white and emerald green. I happily kept on staring at the tree while gradually trying to calm down until I faintly heard footsteps slowly walking towards me. I abruptly glance at the entrance of the tree to see my mom caressing a red jacket with white stripes on the sleeve just like my father's jacket! Where is he anyway? My mom keeps her golden yellow eyes on my dad's jacket then stops in front of me. She bends down to my eye level then stares into my crimson red eyes with sorrowful tears running down her heartbroken face. She carefully moves the jacket closer to me. "Vanoss.... This is yours now..." She softly says with a weak smile. "No, this is dad's! Where is dad?" I question with an unsure chuckle. "Vanoss... do you remember... when your father said... if anything happened to him, that you would have his jacket?" She says with pain while gently pressing my dad's jacket closer to me. "Mom, stop playing around, this is dad's! We're talking about him, he wouldn't---" I try to say while my mom gently grabs my hand. "Vanoss sweetie, I'm telling the truth." She consoles while slowly glancing down at the red jacket. I immediately stop trying to pretend this isn't happening. "No...no.... NO! He can't be! No! You're lying! " I cry out while slowly taking a few steps back. " Vanoss he is in a better place." My mom says calmly while slowly reaching out for me. "NO!" I shout with a heartbroken tone while shakily running my trembling hand through my raven hair. " Sweetie, your father wants us to be happy... even if he is not with us" She sobs while gently placing her caring hand on my weak shoulder. "NO!" My wrath causes me to angrily slap her caring hand off. " Vanoss! Now, we need each other more than ever to keep our family safe!" She calmly says while quickly putting her gentle hands on my shaking shoulders. "How long have you known?!" I say fiercely while darkly staring into my mom's watering golden eyes. "Vanoss, all your father wanted in his life was to protect his children" She weeps while I stare down at the ground. "Why? Why did he leave us!" I shout angrily while staring at my mom's heartbroken face with watery crimson eyes. "Vanoss," she says softly while taking me into her embrace. "Mom." I say weakly while slowly hugging her back. I reach for my dad's jacket from my mom's caring arms. She gently moves her arm forward so I can carefully grab the last piece I have of my father. Then I rub my frustrated face into his jacket. I can still smell his toxic scent on the material. I also remember his famous smiley face and his caring personality, that I'll never see again. "Dad," I mumble quietly. I couldn't hold it in anymore. "DAD!" I scream out sorrowfully to the heavens above. I immediately burst into tears on my father jacket while my mother gently grab my hand. She slowly stand up while my mom softly pulls me along with her. I sluggishly follow behind like a sad little puppy. We quietly walk back into the small town, when all of a sudden heavy rain starts to pour down on our heads. We began to walk faster until the bridge of the human world was in front of us. We slowly walk across the bridge before quietly standing in front of a portal to the human world. I was about to walk through until I faintly heard someone calling out my name. I quickly turn around and saw nothing. Just rain."Delirious?" I say softly while tears slowly run down my face. "Vanoss." My mother urges while lightly tugging on my small hand. I slowly glance at her then quietly. I tighten my grip on her caring hand and stare once more behind me. "Goodbye... Delirious." I whisper with a broken voice while stumbling into the human world portal.

Delirious Pov:

I slowly open my drowsy ocean blue eyes while rapidly placing my right hand over my groggy face. 'What happened?' I mutter to myself while sluggishly sitting up on a comfortable bed with a light blanket covering me.

"How long was I out?" I ask myself aloud. Suddenly in the corner of my half opened ocean blue eyes, I notice a huge lump under the thin blanket, where my left hand would probably be? I quickly try to move my left hand away but something is holding onto it. Then a loud and slightly annoyed grunt comes out from under the thin blanket while I attempt to free my left hand. I quickly removed the thin blanket to see a sleepy Vanoss sitting on a chair while his sleeping face is covered by his muscular arm. Then I noticed Vanoss' caring hand holding onto my left hand.

"Vanoss?" I inquire in surprise while internally asking myself 'Is this really happening?' I lightly try to move my connected hand away from a sleepy Vanoss but instead he tightens his grip on my left hand. 'Oh no' I say nervously in my head (Anime sweat drops).

"Vanoss..." My voice gets louder as I begin to get annoyed while a sleepy Vanoss loudly lets out another grunt. Then he swiftly buried his drowsy face into his muscular arm again. 'Cute, but I want my hand back!'

"VANOSS! WAKE UP! " I shout loudly while rapidly shaking his relaxed shoulder with my free hand. Vanoss instantly jolts back to life while quickly getting up from the chair and looking around. I instantly sit frozen in place.

"Delirious! Your awake! Thank goodness! " Vanoss gushes happily while still firmly holding onto my left hand between us.

"Yeah! I am! So can you please let go of my hand. I need it. " I cheerfully say with a soft chuckle. Vanoss instantly glances at our intertwined hands which I thought fit perfectly together like lost puzzle pieces. Sadly the connection was cut short by blushing Vanoss quickly separating his caring hand away from me.

"Oh! I'm so sorry! I didn't know!" He apologizes while raising his free hands in defense with a nervous smile. Suddenly I notice Vanoss beautiful chocolate brown eyes are puffy and red with small tears running down his heated cheeks. Why is he crying?! Is it me?!

"Vanoss, are you alright? " I question softly with a worried tone while carefully observing his tense body.

"Uh? Yeah. Why?" He answers softly with a sweet smile while curiously staring at me.

"Vanoss, is there something wrong? Your eyes are puffy and red. " I push.

"What?! " Vanoss shouts in surprise before quickly searching the room. Next he swiftly runs to a mirror on the wall on one side the room. He slowly and carefully examines his tearful reflection in the mirror while quickly wipe his tears away. 'Did he not know that he was crying?' I ask myself. Then he swiftly say somethings under his calm breath.

"Why do I cry for a man that I don't even remember."

"Is it me?" I softly question with searching eyes. Vanoss glances at me then softly denies it. I felt a little bit of relief but what I really want to know is why was he crying?

"Vanoss--" "I'm leaving, take care of Wildcat for me. I'll be back." Vanoss interrupts.

"What?! Where are you going?!" I question worriedly while rushing out of the bed but then immediately sitting back down.

"I have to go back home and tell someone that I won't be coming home for a while. I don't want them to worry about me." Vanoss softly answers then he leaves me alone in the room.

"Vanoss... I wish you would open up to me again, just like when we were children. I want to help you."

Vanoss Pov:

I quickly walk out of Delirious' room while immediately heading straight to the exit. I instantly extend my gigantic red wings out and fly high above the town. During my flight I suddenly felt water on my heated cheeks. I quickly wipe away the water but more appears. 'Stop crying ' I keep telling myself.

~Time Skips to Vanoss house~

I quietly stand in front of my red door and slowly knock on it. I hear footsteps rapidly running to the door which swings open. Then the person happily smiles at me before having a concerned face.

"Vanoss! What happened to you?! Are you ok?" She asks with worry.

"I'm fine." I respond quietly while desperately trying to hold back my tears.

"Vanoss," she says softly then quickly hugs me. I instantly wrap my weak arms around her.

"Blaze.... I have to leave you for a while." I tell her softly while slowly pulling away from the hug.

"What?! Why!?" She demands. 'I wish I could tell you but I don't want you to get involved in this mess.'

"There some things I have to do on my own so I have to leave you for a while... I know this is sudden but I need to do this." I say with determination while staring into her light brown eyes.

"Vanoss! What about school?! Your friends?! Your life?!" she desperately yells out.

"I know, Blaze. But this is what I need to do right now. I know you don't understand this but all I'm asking from you is your support and nothing else. Please, I need you to try to understand this." I plead while she calmly stares at me then sighs.

"Ok... I won't stop you. But please, can you try to keep connection with me at least." She calmly say with a small grin.

"I'll try." I grin sincerely.

"Vanoss.." Her voice is small.

"Yeah?"

"........Whatever you are looking for... I hope you find it." She says quietly with open arms. I swiftly hug her again for the very last time, then slowly let go of her.

"Come back safe! " She demands with the biggest smile.

"I will! You be safe as well!" I answer with a cheerful voice. She slowly steps back, before uttering one last farewell and closes the door.

"Bye." I whisper before flying away.

~ A Couple of Days Later~

Wildcat Pov:

Darkness is all I saw... then a soft voice calling out my name in the distance. It sounds so familiar but I can't remember who it is... a soft innocent voice... Like someone close to my heart... Someone that I couldn't protect and let him slip through my weak hand. Mini.

"Mini!" I shout frantically while instantly opening my panicked eyes and quickly sitting up. Then immediately pain surrounds my battered body.

"Wildcat! Thank god! You're alive! I was so worried about you." A cheerful voice says while someone hugs me. I instantly stay frozen in place then push him away from me. It was Vanoss.

"Vanoss, where's Mini?" I say frantically while Vanoss' cheerful face quickly changes into a nervous reaction.

"Wildcat! Please, try to calm down. You need to relax and take time to heal from your encounter with Cartoonz. Please! We can talk about Mini when you are completely healed up. Plus, aren't you grateful that you're alive?!" Vanoss tries to calm me down. 'My life is not worth living without my Mini.'

"Where's Mini?!" I angrily question with a deep tone.

"I can never change your mind Wildcat, can I?!" Vanoss sighs before taking a deep breath. "Wildcat.....I'm so sorry, Wildcat! We desperately tried to save him, but they took him. I'm so sorry. But please don't worry. The people here are trying to find him as well. So I beg of you to consider to take it easy for a while until you are completely healed. Please listen to me." Vanoss explains with sadness in his chocolates eyes while my injured body locks up. All I heard from Vanoss' sad words was that Mini is gone but what was even worse was that he was taken away from me.

"No... This can't be! I punch the mattress. F***ing Damn it! This is my fault. I let those F***er beat the shit out of me and take him. I was so weak. Pathetic. Unless. They should've taking me instead of him!"  I fiercely yell out while tightly grabbing bed sheets between my enrage fists. 'But not this time! I'm not going to let those F***er get away from me again. This time I'm going to give them pain. So I'm going after My Mini no matter what! And nobody is going to stop me even if my body is working against me.' My weak body instantly started to glow bright green with my rage consuming me.

"Wildcat?!" Vanoss is stunning while I completely ignore him. Then I stare into his chocolate eyes with my bright emerald eyes. I swiftly glance to right and see a clear shot of a window. My exit.

Vanoss Pov:

"Wildcat?! Are you--" I hasp in shock while curiously staring at his emerald eyes. Wildcat quickly glances at the window then back at me. He's planning something I know it!

"Wildcat, don't--" I warn angrily when suddenly Wildcat quickly pulls the bed sheets over my body then I hear glass break. I rapidly burn the bed sheet around me then run to the broken window. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Wildcat... my best friend... that I've know for years is controlling the world around him with ease like it's a part of him. The vine of the trees are making a makeshift pattern for him to escape.

"Wildcat!" I yell while getting ready to jump out of the broken window to go after him until someone calls out my name.

"Vanoss?! What are you doing?!" Delirious asks puzzled while I squat by the broken window.

"Wildcat! He ran away! " I say frustratedly while quickly jumping away from the broken window.

"What! How!" Delirious is stunned while I slowly walk up to him with crossed arms.

"Delirious, I think... he is a guardian like us. " I conclude.

"What! Really! Damn it! Just as we need the help! Well, we have no time to go after him!" Delirious is irritated while rubbing his soft brown hairs.

"Why, not?!" I demand while Delirious stares at me.

"I just got word that the Darkness army is headed straight to the Phoenix Barrier!" Delirious says angrily while making his gentle hand into a clenched fist.

"Argh! Wildcat!" I groan before walking out of Wildcat 's room.

Wildcat Pov:

I swiftly used the environment around me to take me away from that place. 'I need to find my Mini!' I focus while quickly searching everywhere. Then I find a long bridge that leads into a portal. 'That must be the way out!' I tell myself. I lower myself to the ground and quickly run for it. Out of nowhere, the loud crying of a huge bird followed by a bright glowing light happens behind me so I quickly turn my head around. I see a glowing white bird flying right behind me with no sign of slowing down. I immediately duck for cover while falling down on my ass. Then I stare up at the sky to see the white bird swiftly flying in circles then flying back into the city.

"Should I follow it?! I mean... It did lead me to Mini before! It's my only clue." I tell myself while getting up and chasing after it.

After a while, the glowing white bird takes me to another long bridge but this one has a huge tree at the end. I quickly run inside to the huge tree to see it has 4 huge carvings that touch the ceiling of the room to the ground floor on each side of the walls. The wood floor of the tree has 4 giant roots that connect to each other from the carvings. Each of this roots are glowing but only the blue and red root are glow the brightest while the green and white root are very fadely glowing. Then the roots that are touching the carvings go into the center of the spiral trunk of the tree. I slowly walk around the place to instantly notice that one of the symbol on the wall is exactly the symbol on my chest. I go to touch it and immediately feel the whole tree respond to my touch. Suddenly the spiral trunk of the tree slowly opens up to reveal a white light. 'Should I go in?' I ask myself while a soft voice is telling me to go inside. And so I do.

3 Pov:

~ Inside Darkness room~

"Is everyone ready?" Darkness say cheerfully with a smile while admiring his collection of zodiacs in front of him.

"F*** You!" Cartoonz yells out angrily while a nervous Basically glances him. Meanwhile a numb Mini stays quiet and blankly stares at the ground.

"Oh, Cartoonz is still angry with me" Darkness chirps happily with a soft chuckles while slowly walk up to a cold Mini.

"Leave Mini alone, You F***er" Cartoonz hisses while the Darkness simple laugh at him. Mini motionlessly stand in place while Darkness swiftly snakes his arm around his thin body. Then he grab Mini's unexpressive face and pushes it to the side.

"Remember, what your role is in this! You don't want to disappoint your master. And if you manage to fail, I will personally make sure you will never forget it with a cruel punishment! And That a promise, I'll keep! So don't mess this up! Got it!" Darkness says with a creepy smile while slowly tightening his arms around Mini's fragile body.

"Yes, master...whatever you say will be done for the Darkness to consume the light and Phoenix. As well as to kill anyone who stand in your way." Mini say with a cold heart and unsympathetic eyes while the Darkness lets go of him with the biggest smile. Meanwhile Cartoonz and Basically stare worriedly at an emotionless mini.

"Basically, you'll be in charge of him at all time. So don't miss this up or else!" Darkness demands angrily with sharp teeth. Basically simple nod his head.

"Let the battle begin!"

??? Pov:

~Somewhere on a mountain~

The tall and thin young man with very pale skin quietly walks down a little path into a very small shrine. The tall young man pulls his shamrock(green) zip up hoodie closer to him while shaking in his jet black pant with forest green/white sneakers. Then he instantly notice someone hover above the ground with their legs crossed together while swinging their monkey tail.

"Hey! Are ye going to help them out? They look like they need all the help they can get..." The young man questions the hovering man. The hovering man slowly put his legs on the floor then turns himself around to face the tall young man.

"In time, my friend!" He squeaks happily while swiftly hugging the tall young man along with his monkey tail.

"I hope ye are right about this." The tall young man worries while tightening his hug around the monkey man.

"Yeah! I'm always right! And Where are my gummy bear, doggy?!" the monkey man pouts while pulling away from the tall young man. The tall young man hands over the gummy bears to the monkey man who quickly devours them.

"Thanks! Now I want some Cheerios, please!" The monkey man begs with big adorable eyes.

"Alright, I'll go get them for you." the tall young man grumbles while the monkey man swiftly kisses him on the cheek. The other blushes while slowly walking away from monkey man.

"Thanks! Oh! And don't forget to bring the other two hybrids with you!" Then monkey man reminds before slowly going back to what he was doing. The tall young man simply nod his head.
