Jun walked through a dark and damp passageway leading him to the cell, where he was not surprised to see Mr. Wu waiting for him just by the door.

"Mr. Lan."

"Mr. Wu."

None of them bothered with further pleasantries. There was no need for any.

Mr. Wu was aware who the man in front of him was. The Lans were nothing short of royalty in their own country, and had his parents been alive, one of them would have been President themselves.

"They are waiting for you inside. You have less than ten minutes, after which--" Mr. Wu paused as his eyes did not waver from Jun's, and he continued, "they will be transferred to the place you chose for them."

Jun had to contain his smirk. He had contacts that were beyond people's comprehension. Had it not been for his Wei Ying, he wouldn't have gone this far.

"Good."

The door opened, and the cop who guarded them was quick to exit.

Except for Zen and Miron, the others were clueless about Jun's identity. Miron was seated, his hands tethered to the table with handcuffs, and the rest were chained to each other, standing right behind him.

Jun rejoiced at the fear he saw in their eyes. A sharp pain shot through his own heart when he recalled the same pain in his Wei Ying's eyes that night.

"Why are you here?" Miron hissed, and this time Jun did not bother hiding his smirk.

"Who do you think got you here?"

"What?" Miron whispered, and this time he visibly paled.

"The best thing you ever did was to threaten me, Miron. The day you decided to give me a call and yap about Xian, in that very second, you began your own doom.

"You thought I'd sit back and watch you all wreck his career? Well, you can kiss your own career farewell. You will never be able to come out alive from the place you're all going to go."

"We... We..." a man next to Zen stuttered, "Could still be... let... free."

Shaking his head in amusement, Jun chuckled, "Nope. That won't ever happen."

"What?" Zen bit his lip in disdain, and Jun leaned back and crossed his legs. Placing one arm behind the backrest of the chair he had occupied, Jun gave away his sinister smile.

"I am Lan Wangji. My parents were in the ministry, and as a child, I practically grew up in the president's house. My uncle is one of the most revered members of the sports federation of this country, as is my cousin. As for me, well, I'll keep that part a mystery.

"You just screwed yourselves up by going after someone who means well to me. What you guys did, I can never forgive you for that."

"It amazes me that even after he has been used up, you still want his as*. Shall I give you pointers on what makes him c*m?" Zen's snide remarks had no effect on Jun.

The latter impassively gazed at Zen and asked, "I understand this jerk, but what about you? Xian was your mentor."

"A fu*king mentor, was he? I loathed him. I don't know how much you know about his past, but let me share one knowledge with you. Xian and I grew up in the same orphanage. Our lives weren't supposed to be that different, yet he hardly stayed in that hellhole. He was allowed to leave whenever he wanted and was allowed to come back whenever he pleased. He was adopted twice, but then he came back. His idi*t brother was untouchable because of that wh*re he dated."

"Be careful with your choice of words." Jun warned.

Zen's anger was blazing out by now. "If Xian wanted, he could have saved me."

"What do you mean?"

"Xian knew what the manager there was doing to some of us. He wasn't around much, but he knew enough. I was repeatedly abused and-"

Jun pieced the story together. He recalled how Xian at first chose to stay quiet because JC's safety was his first concern, but later he decided to help Christian with this matter.

"Christian was your lawyer."

"Yes." Zen bit out.

"How is it possible he didn't recognise you?"

"I changed my name and every single paperwork. I had to choose a new personality."

"Figures. Your abuser was jailed for his crimes."

"Yes, and that fu*king doesn't change a thing!"

Jun chose to stay quiet for a second to let his eeriness engulf them all. "And yet you chose to follow the same path as your abuser. Are you aware that it was Xian's statement that got your abuser jailed in the first place?"

"What?"

"Yes. He did not abandon you. He did decide to speak for you. It was his statements that corroborated everything you said, and that person was jailed. In the end, you ra*ed the man who saved you in so many ways."

Hearing those words, Zen's knees hit the floor, and Jun gazed back at Miron.
"You tried to ruin a man who loved you. I would never understand your sick mentality, but you really never deserved Xian."

Miron winced at those words, but he was ready to bite back. "Can you honestly love a man who acts like a prude? We all present here are aware of Xian's past. He was paid to have s*x. So why was it that with me, he refused to even go beyond a kiss?"

"You meant more to him than s*x and you failed to see that. Whatever Xian's past was, that shouldn't have had anything to do with your relationship. Had you been open about your feelings, knowing him, he would have taken it into consideration. I pity you. In the end, you weren't worthy of him."

"You're advocating for that man. Can you honestly sit there and tell me you would date a guy like him? He has had multiple partners. He has had all of us here. Can you honestly sit there and tell me that in the future, when you sleep with him, you won't come to resent him?"

Except for giving a small smile, Jun chose not to answer those questions, not because he was afraid but because they didn't warrant an answer from him. Instead, he got up from his seat, fixed his shirt, and grinned, saying, "You all will pay for what you did. I have a surprise waiting for you."

He turned to leave when Miron asked, "What... You can't... just say that..."

Glancing back, they collectively shivered, seeing the wrath in Jun's eyes. "What you did to Xian... that would be done to you for every second you breath. You took away his pride; I'll make sure your pride is ripped out of you. You made him cry; now you will face the same. Enjoy the rest of your lives, boys, because from here on, you shall never see this world again."

With that, Jun walked out of the room. He was greeted by Christian and Mr. Wu. With a nod, Christian followed Jun, while Mr. Wu silently entered the room.

Those guys no longer mattered to Jun. He just wanted one man in his arms, and that was his Wei Ying.

The moment Jun entered Christian's office, the very next second, he was cocooned in a sweet scent that was so familiar to him now.

Xian's face was tucked in his neck, and his own arms bound them together. He didn't want to leave his Wei Ying alone.

Jun wasn't sure if, in the future, when Wei Ying learned what punishments he meted out to those imbeciles, he would ever forgive Jun, but he sincerely hoped Wei Ying would one day forgive him. All these years, this heart never wanted more, but for the man in his arms, he did.

"Azure."

"Hm?"

"Take me home." Xian sounded broken, and this hurt Jun's heart.

"Okay. We'll reach there in a few minutes. Tell me what you wish to eat."

Glancing up, Xian shook his head and whispered, "No. Let's go back home to our sanctuary. Take me away from here. Please."

With a nod, Jun clutched Xian's hand in his and made their way towards the car. He sent a quick message to Christian and JC, and off he drove his Wei Ying back home. Their home.

(A/n: So what do you guys think of this new side of Lan Zhan?

I think it's hot and sweet. Goes to show how much he respects Wei Ying. Above all as a person.)
