Lucile - Finding out the truth. (Part 1)
I was walking through the base early the next morning, and as I walked into the main hangar rubbing my eyes I noticed something. I froze mid-step, eyes wide at the sight of giant robots like the ones that attacked my house standing around talking. No words or sound escaped me, I simply just stood there frozen.
Then one that reminded me somewhat of an ambulance turned and noticed me, his… eyes widening at me? “Lennox, it appears that Ironhide’s youngling is awake and has stumbled upon our secret…” It, he, said to my uncle Lennox who was standing near the robot and talking with a big black robot that reminded me of a big truck.
My uncle Lennox quickly spun around, his eyes widening when they landed on me in the giant doorway of the hangar. He quickly rushed over to me, making me look at him when I started to tremble at the memories the giant robots brought back- about the other night when the Decepticons had attacked my house.
Were these also Decepticons? Were they going to attack us too? I hadn’t realized I was starting to hyperventilate until my uncle pulled me into a tight hug, running his fingers through my hair and rubbing my back to calm me down so I would breathe normally.
“U-uncle Lennox, they a-are the ones w-who attacked the h-house!” I stuttered, my voice showing the fear and the worry that these things would attack us again and take the only things I had left of my family. I couldn’t lose my uncles, not so soon after losing my mother….
Uncle Lennox quickly shakes his head, pulling me into a tight hug and holding me against his chest as I started to shake from the oncoming sobs as I thought about my mother. Had the Decepticons killed her? Were they merciful at all if they killed her? Or did they just simply slaughter her?
Soon, after about ten minutes of my uncle running his fingers soothingly through my hair, I was calm enough to finally meet the Autobots. Uncle Lennox had whispered to me about who they were, what they did, and how they protected humans- they didn’t attack them or kill them unless they were on the Decepticon side.
Now I was being introduced to the Autobots in the hangar, and I had officially met Bumblebee, Ratchet, Optimus Prime, and Drift. Now I was meeting the last Autobot in the room- the one that my uncle had been talking to, the one that reminded me of a truck.
The rough exterior of the Autobot before me told me that he had fought for so long, that he hadn’t gotten rid of the scars on him for a reason. “I’m Lucille.” I whispered, staring up into the blue optics, uncle Lennox had taught me about what they call certain things, and the bright neon blue was familiar…. As if I had seen them before.
Then when the Autobot spoke I knew who it was, who the voice belonged to as well. “I’m Ironhide, weapons specialist.” He muttered, not looking at me as my eyes widened in shock. This mech had the same name as my… he couldn’t be my father, could he? He wasn’t the same species as my mother, he wasn’t human and he sure didn’t look human now!
Minutes later I was leaning against a yellow and black Camaro, listening as my uncle explained to me what they were and what I was as well. I was a hybrid- I was born to a human and I was part Cybertronian…. I had my arms wrapped around myself, listening to each and every word and clinging onto them.
Everything was so much clearer to me now- the birthmark on the back of my ankle, the weird colored blood, and so much more… I wasn’t human, at least not fully human. “Why didn’t my mother tell me about this sooner?” I found myself whispering, as I stared at the ground with wide eyes.
I felt my uncle’s eyes on me, as he hesitated to answer the question I had asked him. “Marianne wanted to protect you from this, she knew if you found out then the Decepticons would find out. She was waiting until you were seventeen or eighteen, then she was going to bring you here to meet your father.”
Immediately said mech in the room decided to speak up for the first time since I found out what I was, glaring at my uncle with such anger and hatred at the words he had spoken… “That femme is not my daughter, I will never claim her as my daughter Lennox.” He growls, before turning and going to leave the room.
My words stopped him though- more like me yelling though. “Believe what you want, but you are my father!” I yelled at him, at his frozen frame in the doorway of the hangar. “When we get my mother back, she’ll tell you the truth and she will make you listen.” I glared at his back as I spoke, as if I were trying to burn holes through him just by simply looking at him.
“The truth is that you have a daughter, and you are standing there acting like an aft when you finally get to meet the daughter you made with the woman you love.” I muttered, though I knew he would still hear me. Turning away from looking at my father, I walked out of the base and into the nearby meadow to cool down.
