2 hours before showtime

The Hurt Business were all together in one of their pow-wow meetings. MVP, still with his cane and in some slight pain, was all smiles at the progress of his wards. 

MVP: So far, we got everything right for once. Shelton just needs to stick it Drew more to get his title shot. All you need to do is defeat Keith Lee, you up for that?

Shelton: A-yo, His girl may pride herself in being called the Shelty Slayer but her man is about to be Shelty Slayed - chuckles -

MVP: Alright, leave that rivalry in Austin's youtube channel now - chuckles, then turns to Lashley - Funny how you'll be thrusted into a feud with Mizanin and Morrison.

Lashley: I will take both of them down. No sweat. - pats on the US Title front - This is staying with the Hurt Business.

MVP: Alright Berto! - turns to Cedric and Don - My tiger cubs. The wild dogs. You two need the win tonight to be in contention against the profits. 

Cedric: You got it M!

Don: For the Business, mentor.

MVP: Good, good! Alright, glad to see you all in character but have fun out there. Don, Ced, mind if you two stay behind? 

Don and Cedric stayed while Lashley and Shelton went on to relax and walk around.

MVP: Donny, are you now feeling okay?

Don: Well, yes. Better. Why?

Cedric: Bro, that was not cool what you did last week to us and to Liv.

Don: I patched things up. Now she knows what's coming this Christmas.

Cedric: This Christmas? OH! You two are having Christmas together! - smirks - You lucky guy you!

Don: No! It's not that.

MVP: You're going to Jersey to see her mother?

Don: Sadly no. My parents are coming to Vancouver... and I have to be there.

MVP and Cedric could sense the tension inside Don upon him mentioning this.

Cedric: Oh man. This will not end well. But sadly, Swole and I have to be together for our kid this Christmas.

MVP: Man, the little dude is right now in the hotel room tending to himself. But .... Donny, want me to go with you to your place in Vancouver?

Don: Are you sure about that mentor? You have your son to tend to for sure....

MVP: Nah man! The little dude tours with me so where I go, he goes too. But ...I want to meet and see the ones who led you to go here and LIV your life with us. - smirks -

Don: Please, this may not end well if you still show...

MVP: Donny, as your mentor, I want to be that reassurance that you are doing what you want. I may be your guide, your confidante, your trusted one, but really, you are more of that to me than I to you. I trusted you and look where you are now? Competing for the tag titles, at least you will be wearing gold around that waist of yours.

Cedric: If anything, M's a father. For sure he will be able to reason out on your behalf too.

Don: I... am still unsure but... if need be. Fine, just so they see I made the right choice and hopefully reassure them that I did the right thing.

MVP: And that is why you are my favorite mentee! - chuckles -

Don: I am your only mentee who got called up so far - chuckles back -

As the three talked among themselves, a knock was heard in their locker room door with a muffled sound.

Liv: - knocking on the door - Donny? Donny?

Cedric smirks at Don and MVP knew who it was.

MVP: You know, talk to her man. - smirks - Ced and I can wait. 

Don was blushing while approaching the door and opening it to see a puppy eyed concerned look from Liv, turn into a gleeful smile as she wrapped her arms around Don.

Liv: Donny!!! - hugging tighter -

Don: Liv! Hey, we saw each other back on Tuesday night....

Liv: But it's been so long... But are you okay?

Don was appreciative of Liv's concern even after their talk and clearing the air.

Don: Yeah, - slightly tightens the hug - I'm okay. 

Liv: Yay! - blushes - Donny, please let go....

Don was shocked but this was because Liv can see Cedric and MVP smirking at her while seeing Don tighten the hug. Don took the hint and let go.

Don: What do they have for you tonight?

Liv: Oh, they want me to fight CJ tonight to hype up our match at Extreme Rules.

Don: On the main card - smiles -

Liv: Awww 

As she said this, Liv started bouncing around all excited. MVP then had an idea and grinned upon approaching the two.

MVP: - clears his throat - I see you two made up. So, I got something for you two to do. Don't worry, it's not a date - winks at Don and Liv - but you see, I got a therapy session tomorrow for my knee. Little dude's with me in our hotel room and needs someone to watch him. Donny, mind if you and the Problem Child here can afford to babysit one more child?

Liv: - blushes - hey! That's not very nice - pouts -

Don: Uhh...well, I've seen your kid and let me say, he should be proud to have such a brave man as you for a father.

MVP: Flattery won't get you anywhere Donny. - chuckles and whispers to Don - Except Liv's heart

Don: Mentor, come on!

MVP: Now now, you got until after the show to get back to me on this. Now go!

Liv: Bye Monty, Ceddie and Donny! - skips away -

Don was just frozen and waves back. Cedric smirked as well and made the call like a television basketball announcer.

Cedric: Don Patricio for THREEEE!!!!! With assist from Montel Vontavious Porter!

Don: - chuckling while blushing - shut up!

MVP: Nah Donny. That's for real. Can't pay another sitter and it will suck if the little dude just stays by the lobby while my therapy can last for I don't even know how long.  Think about it. It'll be like you and her having a family - smirks -

Don then just sighs and nods as both he and Cedric have to get ready for tonight.

Monday Night Raw
Show start

Lana and Natalya were already in the ring fuming up and agitated over the announcement made over at WWE's Social Media accounts.

Lana: I just cannot believe this. I mean, we have to beat a bunch of misfit, glory-hound, things of the past that we've already dispatched time and time, and time, and time again. But somehow, these two relics just can't give it up! We're a fresh team. We're the.... 

Natalya: - cuts off Lana - We're the Best of all Time. In case we need to get it through the thick and for sure empty skulls of the Riott Squad, we will keep doing so to make sure we get the title shots and they fade to obscurity like the ....

Liv and Ruby arrive to the cheers of the crowd and Liv is motioning with her hand to cut her music.

Liv: Well, well, well. Nattie and Lana are now out here crying like blonde little babies. 

As she said this, Liv closed her fists and rotated them near her eyes, doing the crybaby taunts.

Lana: You're blonde too you bimbo....

Liv: Oh! You just wanna go there Lana. It wasn't enough that you brought back Rue Rue here to ruin my rise to the top but here we are and here we stand, better than ever.

Natalya: If you two are so much better than ever, how many wins have you had since you know, going back as a team? Huh Liv? - smirks - Thought so. 

Ruby: Oh Nattie, at least we've BEEN a team for so long. Just want to ask you, Lana's been like your .... how many partners have you been with? I bet she's replacable.

Liv: Ooooh Rue Rue! But just to add, Lana's a bad luck charm. I mean, look at what happened to those who she's surrounded with, two divorces and I bet the minute you're no longer able to be fooled Nattie, she's dropping you too.

At this point, Liv and Ruby are already by the apron dropping those bombs at Lana and Natalya. But Lana isn't going to let Liv get the last laugh.

Lana: At least I've been WITH men for a long time. Say, what happened to your year long supply of Italian Saw-seige? eh? - mocking Enzo's accent - How ya doin'? 

Liv was suddenly triggered with Ruby trying to restrain her. Nattie was in shock too but had to play along.

Lana: It's BIG and LONG and it sucks you let that flop out to others. Kinda odd while you two were together, he flopped it out at me - smirks - 

Liv flipped out and began to attack Lana as Natalya and Ruby were trying to restrain both their tag partners. The catfight ensued on until after the commercial break which led to....

Liv Morgan v. Lana
Liv was slamming Lana's head on the canvas while the referee was counting until 5 before disqualifying the Problem Child. Lana was shielding herself away while Liv screamed at the referee. 

As the referee and Ruby were calming Liv down, Lana was waiting for her with an open palm raised as she turned Liv around. Liv turns around to receive an emphatic slap. Lana then points to herself and says.

Lana: This is why I'm number 1. I'm one of the Best of all Time!

Liv then gives Lana a dropkick for all her troubles as she begins to ground and pound on Lana. Lana then rolls away outside as Liv aimed at her for a baseball slide. The Ravishing One catches Liv by the ankles, but the Problem Child was one step ahead in countering it by getting both legs between both sides of Lana's head for a headscissors takedown to the outside, making Lana hit Natalya due to the momentum. 

Natalya became livid and tried to go for Liv but the referee was restraining her before Natalya tried to make Lana lose by disqualification. Nattie then tried to go for Ruby, who was putting her hands up not wanting to cause more trouble. This however led to Lana slapping Ruby. Ruby then snuck a Riott Kick onto Lana behind the referee's back and threw the Ravishing One back into the ring. 

Natalya moved back for the referee to go back into the ring for Liv to wait for Lana to prop herself up by the ropes after that Riott Kick to eat an ObLIVion. Liv then covers Lana.

ONE....TWO....

Natalya tries to intervene but Ruby then tries to hold Lana back by the legs.

THREE!

Greg: The winner of this match, Liv Morgan!

Liv ran out of the ring after her arm was briefly raised and wrapped herself onto Ruby in her signature Huggies outside of the ring as Natalya was looking down on Lana checking up on her.

Tag Team Contendership Tournament Finals
Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder v. Hurt Business (Cedric Alexander and Don Patricio)
Winner faces the Street Profits at Extreme Rules for the Raw Tag Team Titles

Mike Rome: The following contest is the Tournament Finals. First, from Long Island, New York, at a combined weight of 465 pounds. Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder!

Joe: Here come a bunch of losers trying to reclaim their so-called glory days.

Byron: I can't believe I'd hear this from you Joe. Don't you appreciate their place in the tournament?

Joe: Yeah, losers trying to reclaim their short title reign.

Byron: The fact that they've grinded and now are able to regain the brass ring that has eluded them for years!

Joe: Oh go sob at the back.

Mike Rome: And their opponents, at a combined weight of 435 pounds,  representing the Hurt Business, Cedric Alexander and Don Patricio!

Joe: Now here come the presumptive new contenders and eventual champions!

Tom: Well, that is quite an early call there Joe.

Joe: Early but it may be prophecy becoming reality. These guys are merely having a manifest destiny.

Byron: Yeah right, by getting their hands dirty

Joe: It's that or playing by the rules. And so far, the Hurt Business is about to send these Long Islanders back to their little barge never again tasting gold.

Start of the Match
Cedric and Hawkins start the match as the legal men, circling around before both locks arms in a grapple to show a test of strength. Hawkins was able to wear down Cedric to hit a Spinebuster. 

Highlights of the Match
- Hawkins attempts a Vertical Suplex but midway, Cedric Rolls it into a Double Rolling Vertical Suplex.
- Cedric hits a Reverse Atomic Drop then transitions into a Dropkick on Hawkins
- Ryder is tagged in and hits a Jumping Clothesline on Cedric.
- Don connects with a Tomoe Nage on Ryder, hitting Cravate Knee Strikes.
- Don Irish Whips Ryder but Ryder counters a Drop Toe Hold Facebuster with a Facebuster of his own
- Ryder attempts a Corner Elbow Smash to set Don up for a Broski Boot but Cedric tags himself in, making Ryder land on the corner himself.
- Cedric hits Ryder with a Buckle Death Valley Bomb

End of the match
Don tries to hit Ryder with a Running Big Boot but Ryder counters with a swinging neckbreaker on the outside. Cedric leaps to the outside with a Tope Con Hilo. What Cedric missed out is while he was reveling in the aftermath of the Tope, Hawkins hits a Spear on Cedric and throws him back into the ring. 

Cedric Alexander is now in the ring as Ryder, after regaining himself enters the ring as he tags in Hawkins. Both of them then set up for their classic tandem move as Hawkins and Ryder are on either side of the ring as Cedric was about to stand. Hawkins and Ryder run in for both to hit their tandem STO-Russian Leg Sweep move.

Hawkins attempts to pin Cedric but it was broken up by Don. Don then meets a Rough Ryder from Zack Ryder as both men rolled out. Hawkins then begins to go to the top rope for his Heat Seeker Elbow Drop. Upon descent, Cedric rolls away from range with Hawkins dropping on his elbow and slowly rising up as Cedric hits the Neuralyzer for a pin attempt of his own. 

ONE....TWO...

Ryder breaks the pin to save the match and slowly drags Hawkins to his corner for a legal tag to be made. Ryder then catches Cedric for a Flapjack then hits the corner elbow smash as he pumps his fist in the air while doing his signature "Woo! Woo! Woo!" Upon the final Woo!, Ryder slowly limps until he gains some speed to hit the Broski Boot.

Cedric rolls to the middle of the ring as Ryder awaits his opponent to be up yet groggy as he goes for another Rough Ryder on Cedric Alexander. However, Cedric sidesteps and Ryder lands on his two feet, nursing the knee that was in the Imanari Roll-Knee bar earlier as Cedric hits the Lumbar Check and leaps to tag in Don.

Don then waits for Ryder to be on one knee before he hits the Mercy Shot as he pins Ryder.

ONE....TWO.....THREE!

Mike Rome: The winners of the match, representing the Hurt Business, Cedric Alexander and Don Patricio!

Don clutches the back of his head as he and Cedric had their arms raised by the referee. But the celebration was cut short when....

The Raw Tag Team Champions, The Street Profits, walked to the entrance ramp as both contenders and champions stared each other down. Cedric and Don were making the title belt gesture on their cores.

Dawkins: No fam! 

Montez: Congratulations but we bringing the Smoke to your Pain Business meeting!

Backstage
The Hurt Business were in a rather festive mood as they saw Don and Cedric win contendership for Extreme Rules.

Don: Oh man, to finally be in contention for some gold!

Cedric: Donny, calm down now - chuckles - but this will be nice

Ryder and Hawkins passed by and shook hands with Don and Cedric.

Ryder: Bro, quite the showing.

Hawkins: What a ride and we gave it our all.

The Street Profits then show up and congratulate their now-on-screen opponents for the titles.

Montez: Hey guys, let's go nuts!

Dawkins: Yeah fam, I bet you two will make our reign even more entertaining.

Don: You bet. I am so ready.

Cedric smirked as he knew that Liv was near. 

Cedric: Let's clear out gents!

The Profits, Ryders and Hawkins stepped away with Don not knowing what was going on. Until he saw a smiling Liv begin to run toward him to wrap him in a warm hug.

Liv: Donny!!! - wrapping him tighter - mmmmhhh

Don then hugs back, while the rest were cheering.

Cedric: That's mah boi!

Dawkins: Don't ruin their moment fam!

Montez: They're getting huggy!~

Ryder: You know it, bro! - smirks and winks -

Hawkins can only look but MVP then starts to walk in. 

MVP: Gentlemen, much as we want to gawk on these two huggers mind if you give us a moment?

Ryder: You're enjoying this gimmick huh M?

MVP: Yeah, it's a lot of fun but really, let's give these two privacy.

The Profits, Hawkins and Ryder walked away with Cedric staying on. 

MVP: Are you two done yet?

Don then rubs Liv's back

Don: G, Mentor's talking to us.... - rubbing her lower back -

Liv: - shivers to the rub - mmmhhh Donny! - shivers more and giggles - okay 

Both separate the hug as Liv was now blushing from publicly hugging Don.

MVP: So uhhh... remember my request to the both of you?

Don: Oh right, babysitting your kid.

MVP: So, are you okay with babysitting another child apart from the one whose arms wrapped around you minutes before? - smirks -

Cedric hyped up MVP's statement, much to Liv's embarrassment.

Liv: Monty! - pouts -

Don: That okay with you Liv?

Liv: Ohhh.... - thinks about it then smiles - Okay!

MVP: At least the little dude will hang out with his cool Uncle Donny and his cousin Livvy - chuckles -

Liv: AUNTY Livvy!!! - pouts at MVP -

MVP: - laughs - Alright, you're a big girl now about to end up with that big boy I mentored.

Don: Alright, I think we get it. Best we rest up now Liv.

Ruby: Oh no, she is resting with me...wait - looks at MVP - Are they babysitting your kid, M?

MVP: You bet!

Ruby: Oh! Then little baby Livvy needs her night night. - smirks -

Liv then runs towards Ruby

Liv: RUE RUE!!!!!!

Ruby then runs away as Don is left with Cedric and MVP.

Cedric: This will be good practice when...

MVP: Nah, don't rush these two. But the little guy will enjoy you two. - pats Don's shoulder -

Don now has to brace himself for tomorrow when he spends time with both Liv and MVP's son.
