PART 48

Geet came back from witness box and soon she saw Avi was being brought inside the court room... He gave Geet a flying kiss... to which she smiled ... and went to sit beside Maan... who unknowingly had a smile on his face... He kinda was adoring the two kids of his life...

That little exchange of kiss and Geet's smile was noticed by the judge.. and even before asking any question from Avinash.. He knew, what he has to give the judgment... Judge asked few questions from Avi and with every answer, PP's faces were getting pale and paler...and then came the final blow when judge asked Avi...

Judge:- Beta, aap kis ke saath rehna chahtey ho???

Avi('s reply was prompt):- Mama ke pass...papa ke saath..

Judge:- konsi mama??? Geet mama ya payal mama???

Avi:- wo tou aunty hain naa??? (He pointed to payal and then pointed to Geet)meri mama ke saath ... papa , Dev chachu bolo naa, mujhe Aap logon ke saath wapis ghar jaana hai..Dadu, Badi daadi ke paas... Mama... (He was getting scared and Geet couldn't stop herself when he asked her to come to him, she ran towards Avi..despite of Maan's voice and not worrying that she was doing contempt of the court) Mama... (Avi cried hugging Geet... Geet too was crying hugging him)

Geet:- Sshhh!! Shaant ho jaao kuch nahi hoga... Aap bolo kis ke saath jaogey.. batao, judge uncle ko???

Avi(looked at Judge and then said):- Judge uncle, main Geet mama ke saath he jaaonga...Wo mujhe bohat pyar kari hain, wo aunty tou bohat marti bhi hain...Mamma mujhe ghar jaana hai(He hugged Geet, by her neck as he requested her)

PP were shocked to hear that, their own son wanted to live with Geet mama... and that was really a big hit on their faces.. It was a silent slap to the parents .. who just wanted their kid back with hidden motives ...

Geet went back to her seat, when Avi calmed a bit and was sitting with PP...Payal didn't even look at her son...she was angry at him and Prem instructed her to behave in front of ppl now...Whereas Geet sat there.. waiting for the final decision..

Judge:- Since I have learnt every single truth of the biological parents and the foster parents as well... along with Avinash Khurrana's will...to live with His Geet mama ... so thinking abt the kid's happiness.. I will hand over the full custody to Mr and Mrs Maan Singh Khurrana..(Geet smiled and Maan smirked) But with a condition, that Avinash will get all the due love and care from both Mr and Mrs Khurrana...Even after Mr And Mrs khurrana have their own kids, even then Avinash Khurrana shouldn't be ignored..And I will check myself from time to time.. (Judge looked at Maan) I think Mr khurrana, you need to start loving your adopted kid... The court is dismissed(saying that Judge started to go out from the court room towards his chamber)

Geet (out of happiness screamed) :- Yuuhhuuu !!! yes ... yeah...(She jumped in joy and hugged Maan.. thanking him again and again, as it wasn't possible to get the custody without his help and statements in the court..

Maan too sighed and let her hug him, he looked at the PP's faces .. and smirked ... that smirk wasn't a pleasant one, but was of hatred... Pure hatred...

Geet left Maan after a brief hug and ran towards Avi... Who too smiled in delight and freeing himself from Payal's grip he too hugged Geet.. Geet cried with happiness.. and kissed him on his face numerous times ... Avi didn't know anything yet he smiled as Geet smiled and when he noticed Geet's teary eyes .. he got afraid...

Avi:- kya hua mama???

Geet(shook her head with teary smile on he face):- Hum ab se saath rahengey..

Avi:- yeyy!! Mama ab hum saath mein rahengey...Ye tou khushi ki baat hai naa.. Aap ro kyun rahi hain ???

Geet:- khushi ke aansoun...

Avi kissed Geet's cheeks and Geet pulled him up in her arms ... Taking him towards Maan.. who was standing with Dev, thanking Amit-their lawyer...

Amit:- Congratulations Mrs Khurrana... (He smiled at Geet and pulled Avi's cheeks)

Geet:- Thank you for your help...

Amit:- Uhh!! I needed to save my life..(He joked , Geet smiled and she recalled their first meeting at KM, when she threatened him to get Avi back, at any cost.. She was abt to say something , may be an apology but, she heard him) you really are an amazing mother Mrs Khurrana... And I was just doing my job...

Avi:- Thank you wakeel uncle, aap ne mujhe meri mama ke pass pohnchaya... Thank you ... (And he hugged Geet again by her neck)

Dev and Amit laughed at that .. Maan too smiled a bit ...while Geet kissed Avi's cheeks ...

Dev:- okhh.. Bro I will just take car out ...

Maan:- Hmm...

Amit:- Alright Mr khurrana I will take your leave now ...

Maan shook his hands with Amit and Amit smiled to Geet and Avi and went away... By then, their car arrived and all went to go home...

For the first time in all these days ... Maan asked Geet something which he wanted to know from the time the Judge gave the verdict..He turned to Geet, who almost was lost in her own world, looking at Avi, who was talking with her animatedly looking outside the car's view, sitting peacefully in her arms ...

Maan:- Happy???

Geet (looked at him with gratitude and just smiled):- Thank you...

Maan averted his eyes and on its own, his thoughts went to their first Karwachauth... That held the last month... when they were dealing with the custody case ...

Flashbacks of that Day...

As instructed by his Grandmother, Maan arrived home a bit early... and Geet then began with rituals... On the other side, Dev and NT were also present there... and Dadimaa and Yash were looking at them .. Together... Happy ...

After the pooja was done and Maan offered her something to eat .. Dadimaa asked him to give her gift ...

Maan(fumbled):- Uhh!! (looked here and there) I .. Umm.. Didn't buy any... (His gaze turned towards Geet, who was looking down, smiling a bit coz she wasn't expecting any..He made it to the KC was more than enough she could have asked for)

Dadimaa(glared him):- Maan????

Geet(whispered):- Its ok...Not a big deal.. (she turned to Dadimaa) Its ok dadimaa.. I don't want anything ...

Hearing her, Maan was surprised ... He thought she will also demand some sort of gold chains or pearls-like NT uses to demand from her husband .. But here she just saved him from dadimaa and His father's anger.. Nevertheless, they were not so happy at Maan..But they didn't say anything ...

Later at that Night,

Geet(came to Maan and said):- Can I ask you something ???

Maan:- yes...

Geet:- wo... You didn't give me any gift..

Maan(nodded):- Hmm??Told you, didn't buy.And you were ok with that???.(He paused, then looking at her, he asked) what do you want ???

Geet:- I don't want any Jewelry or anything ... just want a promise from you... That you will bring our Avi back in the next 2 hearings at max, Can't live without him now...If I get him back, I will be the happiest person on earth..It's been a week now , that I saw him... Just want him with us, here.. Will you give me that gift???

Maan looked at the amazing women, he got as his wife.. She didn't want any materialistic thing as her gift.. But she wanted a kid, who was not even hers ... Even then.. He couldn't stop himself from promising her...

Maan:- I promise...

End of FBs ...

The car stopped in their mansion and Maan came out from the past ... He felt happy that he was able to give her, her desired gift, in the form of bringing Avi back to KM, that too at the latest...

KM

Dadimaa stood with aarti ki thaali .. and took the aarti, while Avi was in Geet's arms..excited to go to his Badi Dadi after so many days... Maan stood with exhausted expressions .. and Dev behind Maaneet... As soon as Dadimaa finsihed arti she passed the thali to NT and Avi was in her arms ... while Yash hugged Maan and Geet..

Yash:- Am proud of you my son... (He really was happy.. and then he kissed Geet on her forehead in a gesture of appreciation and Maan excused himself)

Night,

Maan ate dinner in his room and now he was resting on the bed .. Too much tired and also he was relived ... Now that Avi was with them and he was happy to see the angered faces of Payal and prem.. He felt at peace... But now Avi was going to be his responsibility for rest of his life, and this fact was going to take time..for him to give that kid a place in his heart ... Though, Maan now didn't hate him much ... and few things were clear in his mind now .. that the kid was innocent and needed love and care...which he wanted to give not coz of some court orders but the love Geet gave to him and the care and bonding Avi shared with Geet, Maan wanted to at least give him the half of that ...He kinda half envied the bonding and kinda half adored them.. Maan now wanted to accept him whole heartily .. But still he knew time was required for that purpose... He was kinda upset with himself.. If she can gel well with Avi in just not more than a year.. then he was living with Avi from past 5 years.. It shouldn't be that difficult to pacify a small boy and get attached Avi to him..

He was abt to go to deep slumber when he felt a hand was creeping on his back... Opening his eyes, Maan turned around and a very happy Avi jumped on his stomach...

Avi:- Missed you so much papa...App dono ke bina mujhe neend bhi nahi aati thi...

Maan looked at him and then Geet, who also was lying on his bed along with Avi...She was looking at Avi with teary eyes, hearing him telling Maan, what he went through.. But then her gaze fell on Maan-who was looking at her.. and she smiled a bit ... Avi's voice distracted both...

Avi:- Aaj se main aap dono ke saath he sounga...( He looked at Maan) Papa, hug karo naa...

Maan looked down to his face and reluctantly placed his arm around Avi..kept himself reminding that he was going to move forward with Avi and prove a good DAD, practically...

Avi placed his head on Maan's chest and soon dozed off.. Maan sighed and patted his back till he was comfortably sleeping .. then turning on the side, Maan placed him on the bed and looked at Geet.. she was fast asleep.. He gently pulled Geet's hand out from her side and placed that on Avi's ... Both got the touch and within secs Maan saw Avi curled up against Geet.. and she was patting his head even with her closed eyes ...

Maan (shook his head with a smile,ST):- Both are kids... How am I supposed to get closer to him..He shares very comfortable bond with her..I Need to work hard for that .. (and then a thought came in his mind ... Satisfied he lied on bed and soon slept looking at the kids, sleeping beside him)

Done with the court proceedings ... Many will be happy... Now, Maaneet time.. Lets wait and watch how, they are gonna come closer to each other... of course with the catalyst in between them, being Avi...
