PART 69

Maan just shook his head and smiled...Geet saw him smiling and got a perfect chance to ask her question, that she wanted to talk on this date..

Geet:- If you don't mind, can I ask you something???

Maan:- yeah... Sure...

Geet:- I .. have told you abt my liking towards you... What do you think abt me???

Maan(was surprised at her boldness, to ask him directly.. He smiled at her):- I like you as well... You are a nice girl, Geet... Have realized now, when am trying to know you... Have never thought abt you, in any way ... I Like your simplicity, innocence and maturity at times... And I really hope, you won't change ...

Geet(smiled):- I won't ... (She was blushing hearing him praising her and so she shied and tried to hide that shyness with smile)

Maan noticed that but didn't want to make her uncomfortable so he pretended to look at somewhere else... When she somehow controlled her blush... She looked at his face and saw Him smiling at her... She smiled back...

Geet- you know, you should often smile... Smile suits you...

Maan(smiled more):- Really???

Geet:- yeah...

Maan:- Well, right now, this smile is coz of you... So, thanks for bringing this smile on my face...(Geet smiled yet again hearing his honest confession...He was the one, who didn't want to do anything with her and their this relation and now, he was doing something caused by her... That made her happy)

Geet(ST):- Mr Hubby Khurrana, you are changing...Shall we go home??? Its getting late, I have my college from tomorrow...

Maan:- Oh !! Yes, sure...

By the time, they reached Mansion, both had changed thoughts for each other... Her thinking was changed from Her Hubby, being an arrogant and angry young man to smiley, caring Maan... and His thinking changed from , she being a gold digger to nice, naive, kind heart girl...

After parking the car, Maaneet entered the mansion, only to find Yash sitting in the lounge and watching T.v... Maan, was surprised, he came closer to Yash and inquired...

Maan:- Dad !! You are still up??? Its past 11...

Yash:- Oh !! you are back... (He looked past Maan's shoulder and noticed a worried Geet) yeah !! Was just waiting for Geet... Wanted to talk to her...

Maan observed his dad and scrutinized him, he guessed, what his dad wanted to talk to Geet...Yash, smiled a teasing smile... Maan sighed and he nodded, turning passed a small smile to Geet.. then went upstairs, to Their room...While , Geet looked at her papaji , in worrisome... Yash smiled and gestured her to come close... switching the T.v off...

Geet(asked as soon as she sat beside Yash on couch):- Papaji.. what happened???

Yash:- Nothing beta, You tell how was the Dinner???

Geet(instantly shied):- Good...

yash:- Just Good???

Geet:- Wo... Papaji... I liked it ..

Yash:- Beta, tell me clearly naa, what happened ??? (He was teasing her, she was shying and playing with her duppata...and he knew her answer before even her voicing out her views)

Earlier, Yash was worried for Geet... He knew Maan wouldn't do any bad ... But he also knew, over these years, Maan has developed short temper... He could easily become angry in no time..and knowing his son, he would target the poor girl-who already was scared of his bad temper...

But, when Maan greeted Yash, after entering, he knew all was well between them both... But being a father, he was curious to know what exactly Maan talked to her... So, here he was, teasing his DIL...

Yash:- Geet??? ( At last, He called out her name as she wasn't saying anything)

Geet:- Papaji, he is nice ...We shared our likes and dislikes... He was smiling ... not even once scolded me for anything ...(She smiled and then looked at Her FIL, reminded of something and said) And, I want to thank you... (Yash looked at her in confusion) For everything...

Saying so, she hugged Yash... keeping her head on his chest and he patted her head with love... Yash smiled at this child girl... She, surely was angel in his son's life... Maan has to realize that as soon as possible... They have to think abt each other now, seriously... Least, he was aware of his Son's thinking.. That was completely changed now..

Geet wanted to thank Her papaji, for encouraging her... For telling her to say anything to Him, without scaring of Maan's reaction and also, she wanted to thank Yash, for telling Maan abt her worries, as that made her open her heart and start convo properly... But she felt at loss of words at this moment..Feeling too much emotional...That Her FIL was a gem of a person and he treated her as a daughter... not DIL... and so she just said those two formal words... and she started to cry...That alerted Yash...

Yash:- Arey why are you crying??? Don't cry beta...

Geet:- Am not crying papaji... Am just... happy...

Yash:- Always be happy... (He smiled and kissed her head) Now, go ... Sleep... Its late...

Geet stood to her feet and went from there... Yash sighed and smiled looking at her , as she entered Avi's room... Her Love for Avi, always was on top...

Geet closed the door to Avi's room, once she was satisfied that Avi was fine and sleeping peacefully... She then turned to her room...

Opening the door, Geet saw Maan, working on laptop settled on the bed... He looked at Her and smiled .. Geet returned that smile and went to change... After that she came and sat on bed... Maan too closed his work and slipped inside the covers ...

Maan:- Done, complaining with Dad???

Geet:- Huh!!! (She looked at him) No no, you are taking wrong..

Maan(smiled):- Relax, am just asking by the way... Dad has sided with you these days ... so...

Geet:- Its nothing like that ...Don't think like that... Yeah !! He was asking me abt the dinner, but I didn't complain abt you...

Maan:- Hmm... Its ok, even if yo did... I don't mind...

They looked at each other and passed a small smile... They Both slept ... soon...

Morning,

Geet opened her eyes hearing her alarm- that she always set on her cell phone.. and found herself in Maan's arms ... Strange !!

Geet(ST):- How I came here?? Maybe I thought, Avi still is here and I assumed Him to be Avi... (she blushed and tried to get away from him before he woke and saw her there )

But her small movements ... woke him up anyway and he too looked surprised, at the way he was hugging her... Immediately , released her from his grip and apologized ...

Maan:- Sorry... I thought, am hugging Avi...

Geet (smiled, hearing him....Now they even thought same ways):- Its ok.. I leaned to your side... so that's my fault...

Maan:- Don't blame yourself... That's fine ...(He thought to ease her.. since she was looking embarrassed ) We can sleep with each other.. we are married, after all..

Surprised, Geet looked at him ... and he passed a smile to her... She shied, couldn't reply him...and got down the bed... heading towards rest room...

Maan smiled at her shyness and thought ... how he was hugging her... So much changes in one day... How he was used to Avi hugging him, and now he hugged Geet, in his sleep thinking her, Avi...Sighing he closed his eyes ...

Maan was setting his tie, when Geet came in and told him that Breakfast was ready.. Just telling him that she rushed down ...

Maan came down and sat on chair, where Avi was fussing over not wanting to eat anything...While, Geet, as usual trying to pacify.. and others were watching the show...

Geet:- Bas ye wala khatam karo...(She pointed towards the bread piece and omelet in his plate )

Avi:- Mama plz, mujhe nahi khaana... plz...

Maan smiled and looked at Geet... She wasn't ready, yet.. and it was first day to her new year... She was busy, trying to shove morsel in Avi's mouth, while he contd to throw tantrums... Geet , sighed and her gaze fell on Maan... He blinked his eyes...

Maan:- Geet, you aren't ready yet??? Go, get ready .. I will see to him...

Geet(instantly got worried , she thought he would scold Avi):- Uhh!! I will... once he is done...

Maan(instead looked at Avi and said):- Avi, come here...

Geet(tried to interrupt):- Maan, don't...

Maan(cut her):- Geet, get ready in 10 mints, am gonna drop you both... before going to office... So, hurry..

Everyone looked at Maan, shocked at what they heard...For, the first time in past 6 years, he talked for Avi... and for Geet... He said, he was going to drop them off.. and that was a big thing... While, reluctantly Avi made his way towards Maan... afraid , that his papa is gonna scold him... But to everyone's surprise, Maan took Avi, on his lap.. and stared at Geet-who was standing still... Looking at Maan's stare, Geet looked at Her Super Dad..He nodded and Geet went from the dining to get ready...

Maan:- Dev, pass me his plate...

Dev(came out from his shocking look and obeyed):- Ji Bro...

Dev passed the plate in which Avi's BF was ... And very sweetly, Maan fed Avi,  making him eat all the remaining BF... engaging him, in some talks... and even bribing him later on, to finish everything in the plate...

Maan actually liked this feeling, of pampering someone.. He used to envy Avi's tantrums and Geet's pampering ... and today, he loved to pamper his son like Geet does...

Dev coughed and eyed Yash... Who was totally focusing his attention on Maan... NT smiled looking at Dev's gesture... Dadimaa had tears of Joy..

Dadimaa(ST):- This girl is angel in disguise... Almighty always bless her...

The Cough, broke Maan's lovey dovey session .. and he looked at all... as they were looking at him... Clearing his throat, he eyed Dev... Who smirked back at him...

Maan:- Dev, you go to office, Will join you soon...

Dev :- uhh!! Sure Bro...

He smiled and looked at Yash... Yash, blinked his eyes... silently asking Dev to leave ... Dev stood , after wishing everyone.. and NT followed him , outside...

Maan(turned towards Avi):- Go, wash your face and get your bag...

Avi:- I love you papa... (Saying that, Avi kissed Maan's cheek...Maan closed his eyes and smiled at Avi)

Maan(ST):- He could have kissed me after washing his mouth... But, I won't scold him, since he would get scared...

Avi ran off, and Yash looked at Maan...Maan stole glances from him and tried to finish his own BF... Dadimaa still was looking at her grandson... Finally witnessing , family moments together... and she was happy for that ...

Yash:- Someone has changed over a night... (Yash commented and Maan's hand stopped in the mid..He looked at his dad and sighed) Good to see that ... Priorities changing, Hmm???

Maan:- Dad plz, stop annoying me... Its only coz of you, am trying to work out on this relation and you are... (He sighed)

Yash(became serious):- No Maan... You aren't doing any favor on me or Geet or on Avi... If you have wanted, you would have tried this "working out your relation" a year back... since , I kept pestering you to think abt Geet... But no, you didn't ... You know why...Coz, you didn't even wanted to talk on that ... You weren't willing to move on... with Geet.. only coz of your past... But now, after knowing Geet and Avi... You are willing to take an step ahead... and that's right ... You, have got your own insecurities.. I understand... But don't think, you are doing this all... For ME... no... you are doing this ... giving yourself and Geet a chance... just coz YOU want that ... Coz finally, you have accepted that Geet ISN'T JUST ANY OTHER GIRL... She is different from all of them... And (his tone softened) maybe, you are FALLING FOR YOUR WIFE...

Yash ended his say with a smirk... Maan , who was listening his Dad, without interrupting him, as he knew his Dad was saying the truth... , looked at him as he said the last sentence... Maan sighed and nodded...

Maan:- You can say that ...

Yash(noticed Geet taking her steps down and coming towards them.. He cut Maan):- Ahh!! Geet beta... you are here...

Maan sighed and stood up to grab his office belongings.., Avi too came and the trio left... bidding bye to Yash and Dadimaa...

I feel terribly sorry for making you all wait for months just for a single part....And seeing your pleading comments saddens me even more....But, really can't help it..I planned this update a week back and see, am now able to update this...This year been too much hectic for me and with the pandemic it became more....Don't know when will i be able to update this one again.. But, certainly i won't leave ANY of MY currently going on WORKS UNFINISHED...
