PART 66

Geet was pacing the room, worried for the date... She couldn't have concentrated on anything , neither cooking nor her studies, since she was going to start her college from next day and she had to prepare herself for that.. But nothing was in her mind except the word DATE with Maan...Of course, it was the first date of her life...So she was worried.. scared and feeling conscious ... Opening the wardrobe she looked at her clothes...and found her hands shivering...

Geet(ST):- What's happening to me??? Geet, you are over reacting... Its just a dinner that too, with your Hubby khurrana... Nothing to worry... Maybe I will get a chance to talk to him there...(she nodded) Yes, I will talk to him there...

Relaxing herself, Geet started to search dresses and settled for a white churidar suit...And then headed outside to inform others abt their dinner outing...

Geet entered the kitchen and saw Avi trying to grab back something from their old servant-Nakul...He was abt to toppled over but Geet came around ... to save him...

Geet:- Aram se Avi.. Kya hua, kyun pareshan karahe ho Nakul uncle ko???

Avi:- Mama, dekho naa aaj main papa ke liye lunch le ke jaana chahta hoon but Nakul uncle de he nahi rahi..(Geet looked at Nakul)

Nakul:- But madam, sir wouldn't like that...

Geet(nodded, understanding what Nakul was trying to convey):- Hmm, tou aaj aap papa ke liye tiffin le ke jana chahtey ho???

Avi:- Haan...

Geet:- par aap akele kese jaaogey????

Avi:- Akela?? nahi tou... Aap bhi chalo mere saath..

Geet:- Ahh!! Noo... Nahi Avi, mujhe naa bohat kaam hai... Main nahi jaaongi...(She denied going with him that too to his office, when he already was going to take her out... She didn't want to confront him and annoy him by going there)

Avi would have cried to made her agree to take him to his papa but suddenly, he shouted in delight when he saw His dadaji entering the Mansion... He ran up to him... While, in surprise, Geet too followed him...Avi ran into Yash ,who smilingly took him up in his arms..

Avi:- Dadu... Mujhe naa office jaana hai, papa ke liye lunch le ke...

Yash:- Hmmm.. Very good... (Yash looked at Geet)

Geet:- Uhh!! Papa ji , you are home, early???

Yash:- yeah.. had a meeting nearby, so came home to take a file... (He turned to Avi) aur hum papa ke liye lunch le kar jaengey... Nakul get our lunch packed soon... (Nakul nodded and went to make the tiffin) Geet , beta , you also come to office... You haven't been there.. Hmm...

Avi:- Maine tou kaha hai, par mama he nahi maan rahen...

Geet(looked here and there, thinking what to say now):- Uhh!! Papa ji.. I.. I need to get ready naa for .. For dinner so... You go..

Yash(questioned her, looking at her in confusion):- Get ready for dinner??? Are you going somewhere, beta???

Geet(looked down, feeling shy and nodded):- Wo.. Maan is taking me out for dinner...

Yash looked at her in amusement and in surprise... Surprise coz , Maan was making a move .. that was nice, but when did this happen???... and amused, coz of her shyness... Again that also looked nice to him...

Yash:- Oh !! Dinner??? Hmm, That's nice...

Avi:- Main bhi chalonga...

Geet looked at Avi, feeling helpless as to what to answer... But Yash noticed Geet and ..

Yash:- Avi beta, mama papa ko thora time akele bhi spend karna chaiye naa??? (Avi nodded) Tou aaj aap mere saath , apne new room main baith ke games khelna, theek hai???

Avi:- Wow, dadu, aapko games aate hain???

Yash:- Of course...

Avi:- Yipee !! Tou thek hai, deal...

Yash smiled at Avi, and asked him to get the tiffin from Nakul and go to car, while he is coming... Avi left... and then Yash looked at Geet in smile...

Yash:- So all ready, for your first dinner date ??? (His voice held tease but Geet was somewhere else..so she didn't notice)

Geet(reluctantly):- Papaji... Am worried...

yash:- For what beta???(He got serious)

Geet:- Why all of sudden???(Yash looked at Geet, getting confused) He has never done that before... Then why today???

Yash(smiled):- Beta, maybe he wants a chance with you??? Won't you give him that??? (Geet nodded and looked down..Making Yash to smile at her) Then, go ahead with him... And just say whatever you like... Don't be scared of him or his anger... I will handle that later on, if he got angry for anything ...Hmm.. Just enjoy the dinner, he has never done that for anyone ...and if he is doing that for you, then you should also not back out...

Geet(smiled and hugged Yash):- Thank you so much papaji, you always encourage me for everything ... You are a super Dad...

Yash laughed and patted her head affectionately... Avi came running to them and took his dadu away ... He was so excited to go to his papa's office.. He has never been there, coz of Maan's angry glares always passed on the poor boy, whenever he tried to go with Maan.. But Geet changed all that... So now, Avi was sure, that his papa will be happy on finding him there as a surprise...

On the other hand, Geet felt much relaxed at Her papaji's words... His assurance was all, she wanted at that point and she got that... For she knew, if something went wrong in that dinner outing then her Super Papaji will handle that ... and so she got relaxed and calmed her raised beats ...

At KC...

Maan was working on a file and simultaneously was talking on phone when a sound distracted him and the next sec, Avi was running into his arms ... Shocked, Maan just got up and held him close in his arms, so that to stop his fall.. and excusing himself, he put the mobile phone away on the table... Then looked at grinning Avi in surprise and a bit of anger...

Maan:- What are you doing here???

Avi('s face fell hearing his dad's stern voice):- wo... Main...

Yash('s voice came from behind and Avi and Maan looked at the entrance):- I brought him here... (Yash looked at Maan's angered face and said bit sternly) Mind, changing your facial expressions...??? You probably are scaring this poor kid...

Maan sighed and looked away, then he realized Avi was kinda getting scared... Calming himself down, Maan smiled at Avi and kissed his cheek.. That was all needed to make Avi smile and hug his dad, circling his arms around Maan's neck... Yash too smiled at the love, Avi had for Maan.. and nodded at him...

Maan(turned to Avi):- Hey Avi... You liked it here???

Avi:- Haan papa... Maine naa, Dev uncle ke saath aapka floor dekha... Ye office tou bohat he bara hai... clean clean bhi hai...Agli baar, mama ko bhi saath le kar ayengey... Hai naa dadu???(Avi questioned looking back towards his Dadaji)

Yash:- Haan beta, kyun nahi...Chalo aao hum lunch kartey hain...

Maan put Avi down on his feet and Dev too joined them for the lunch...After the lunch was over... Avi asked to go home, and it was decided that Dev will take Avi back to home... so now, Maan was alone with his dad... who was giving him weird looks ...

Maan:- Dad, why are you looking at me like this ???

Yash(smiled and started):-You tell me, what's going between you and Geet??? Did I miss something???

Maan(sighed and nodded, guessing his dad knew something):- Oh That!! well, Dad am going out with Geet, tonight...

Yash:- Hmm, got to know abt that a while back... poor girl, she already is so scared of you...

Maan(looked at his dad, getting confused):- what?? Now, what have I done ???

Yash:- well, that you need to ask her, coz really, I don't know abt that... But yeah, she looked worried and scared ... Would suggest you Maan, make her feel at ease, let her be comfortable with you first...before you actually start convo with her...

Maan:- yeah sure dad... Anyways, I need to attend this meeting... So see you later dad...

Yash:- yeah , even am going to my cabin... (He stood to go..Reaching the door, Yash turned) Maan, be on time... Don't make her wait for you...She will be disappointed...

Maan:- Alright Dad got it...

Smiling Yash left... Maan knew, his father was teasing him.. deliberately was suggesting things which Maan already knew... He sighed and leaned back on his chair... thinking for their upcoming dinner...
