PART 63

With the elders curt response to her, Geet's mother was rendered mum.. and she sighed in frustration.. and anger... She wasn't wrong either.. As she just wanted her daughter's happiness... But maybe she was thinking wrong in sending Avi away from their lives.. That would have caused no good to either of them...

Geet was trembling in anger, Hurt, fear and helplessness... She was angered and Hurt, thinking, how could he even think on separating her from Avi??? And even If, he thought so then also why he didn't tell her??? When he was planning to tell her abt Avi's departure?? Or was he even thinking on tell her or not ???Why Her own mother asked for such thing??? Why she didn't discus with her before asking Maan on that ???

She was feared and feeling helpless as she had no way to stop him from deciding so... and taking Avi, away from her... Was she going to fight for Avi's stay??? Or was she going to let Maan take this decision??? No, she won't sit quit and watch Avi going away from her...Never...

She was crying and was lost in these thoughts, going to her room... when accidentally, Maan's gaze fell on her, while He was instructing someone on a call...Immediately he wrapped the talks and looked at her... He was shocked to see her crying .. badly crying ...

Maan(ST):- what happened to her??? She was smiling just a few mints back ???

He went up to her... she was abt to go up ... when she heard Maan calling her... Geet turned and looked at him with all sad, hurt and angered expressions ...

Maan:- Geet... what happened ??? Did someone say something???why are you crying ???

Geet:- You did this ???

Maan(asked her, getting confused):- what ??? what I did ???

Geet:- Did mama, ask you to send Avi away to some boarding school???

Maan looked at her hell shocked to know that she came to know abt it ... But how ??? Was the question , running in his mind... While Geet kept looking at him, secretly wishing and wanting him to deny her... to say no... After a few mints of silence he spoke...

Maan:-Geet??? How did you come to know ???

Geet :- Just tell me, did she ask you for this or not ???

Maan:- Geet I ...

Geet:- Just tell me ... (She yelled at him in frustration and anger..That she had been dealing with, all alone)

Maan(again was shocked to see her anger for the first time..He sighed and nodded):- yes, But ...

Geet(stopped him by taking her hand out in front of him):- Thanks..(She said that to him in a mock and was going when he gripped her wrist)

Maan:- Geet listen...

She gave him an angry look, that forced him to let her go.. and he left her wrist... Shocked to see her anger for the first time ... and she said she was scared of his anger.. He didn't want her to misunderstand him when he had decided to not to even talk to her on that topic, and so he followed her..

She went back to the guests and tried to distract her mind .. from his HURTFUL doings... got herself engaged in the talks with ppl and other things ..

Slow music played at the background and she felt a tug at her wrist ... and the very next moment, she was in Maan's arms ...who pulled her to the dance floor...

Maan sighed as she wasn't paying attention to him and thought for a way to talk to her and make her understand .. And when he saw DJ was told to play music by Dev, he got his idea to have a talk with her..

So, here they were... In each other's arms ... with Geet having a shocking and painful expressions and Maan only had one thing in his mind and on his face ... Sorry... which Geet didn't want to acknowledge, for she was too much HURT.. she looked away...

Both swayed with music and Maan had a hard time in controlling her... As she tried to get away from his arms ... But he being Maan, didn't let her go from his arms , till she was ready to hear him out ..

Both spoke in silence... conveying the message through eyes and gestures ...killing each other with their looks ...

Maan (hugged her from back and whispered near her ear):- Geet, plz hear me out once ... You are taking all this wrongly..

Geet(looked back at him over her shoulder):- Let me go..

Maan:- Not until you promise to hear me out ...

Geet:- Am no one.. so, don't bother to give me explanations ...(she replied in anger)

Maan:- Geet, you were saying that you get scared of my anger.. and here you are scaring me with your anger... (He smiled a bit,trying to make her relax and calm and then added) Never knew, you can get this much hyper...

Geet(looked away and tried to struggle):- You only know to HURT me...And I had had enough of your tortures ...Am also a human, I also feel pain... You know the importance of Avi in my life and still you... (She sighed and struggled)Let go of me ...

Maan(sighed in irritation and turned her, so now she was facing him):- you need to listen...You are misunderstanding...Why will I HURT someone else, when am already HURT... Its not like that Geet...Why you think that am only HURTING you??? It doesn't give me any kinda pleasure ... Never...I didn't want to HURT you, that's why didn't tell you... (He looked at her in anger ...Their talks were going somewhere else..Geet glared at him, for showing attitude..Both looked at each other in pure anger)

Geet(still with anger) :- Why are you getting angry for ???

Maan(looked away from her face and tried to control his budding anger):- Okhh ..Am not angry...

Maan would have contd ...But suddenly she hugged him and broke down..when she saw he was willing to calm himself down...so she thought, it was best time to request him, instead of showing him attitude...

Geet(cried):- Plz, don't send him away...I can't even think living without him near me... Plz.. Change your decision...

Maan was shocked to see her cry... She was crying like a little girl, in his arms... Once again she proved that, indeed she was a child at heart ... Maan felt guilty ... He didn't know what he was going to do to pacify this little child, who was HURT by him... If it was Avi, he would have given him toys and he would have been easily pacified .. But here, she needed to understand his thoughts..His decisions... and for that, she needed to hear him first...

Maan(whispered):- Come with me..

He told her that and breaking her hug, he made her walk with him... He went in Avi's room as it was nearby.. and halted when he saw Avi and Yash ... Guess, Avi took his bade papa... his Dadaji for a tour of his new bedroom..and both were admiring the room, when Maaneet entered ...

Yash saw Geet in tears and was alerted ...Though Geet was looking down and didn't notice him... He looked at Maan in disappointment ... and engaged Avi in some toy and told him to play outside... Avi obeyed and went out...So, happy to find new toys ...to play with...

Hearing Yash's voice...Geet looked up and got out from Maan's side hug... Maan sighed, when she went to Yash... and Guessed, that she is gonna complain now ...

Geet:- papa ji.. papaji see... He is planning to send Avi away... Plz, stop him naa... plz ... (Geet stopped and shook Yash , holding his arms.. just like a kid)

Yash looked at Maan getting shocked ... He gave an angry glare... to which Maan just sighed and looked away...

Yash:- I told you... that we aren't gonna do that ... and you told her???

Now Geet looked at her papa ji in shock...

Geet:- you too knew abt it??? Papaji??? How could you give approval??

Yash:- Geet beta, nothing of that sort is going to happen...we...

Maan(cut in):- Dad plz, can I explain ??(Yash sighed and got aside.. while Maan came forward and stood facing her) It was your mom's suggestion Geet... She thought you aren't getting into family matters and etc.. so she just suggested to send Avi away from you.. for a few years ...

Geet:- And you agreed ???

Maan:- No... we thought and already had declined that suggestion and that's why you didn't come to know abt it till today...

Geet:- But you thought abt it ???

Maan(sighed and nodded):- yes Geet... I had to think ... coz, My only concern is your studies, you didn't pay attention to your studies in this year..and that's why I thought ... (He stopped at the mid) But that am sure, we will manage ... we will make some schedule and do the needful for your and even Avi's growing up and so his studies ... (Seeing Geet silent... Maan stopped...sighed and looked at his Dad, who nodded in assurance that she might understood their point.. After a few mints , Geet too nodded...Then looked back at Maan.. and raised her hand in front of him)

Geet:- Promise, you won't send him away???

Maan looked at her in astonishment and looked at his father, who equally was stunned , after all Maan's words she still was waiting for a promise from him??? He smirked back at Maan without speaking a single word... Maan knew he isn't going to help here so again looked at her and then at her raised hand... putting his hand over hers ... he promised...

Maan:- Promise Geet... I won't let him go anywhere... I love him as much as you do... He, now is a part of me too.. So, that won't ever happen.. But you need to concentrate on your studies ... ok...

Geet smiled and hugged him... Maan looked at his Dad, feeling uncomfortable while Yash gestured him to hug her back, which Maan reluctantly did... She pulled away, after she realized what she had done, that too in front of papa ji...

In order to kill the awkwardness Yash came forward and placing a comforting hand over her head he said...

Yash:- Geet, beta , you have got all the rights on Avi... So, when you think, something is wrong, then you don't need to beg in front of anyone ... you just need to show your authority on your loved ones... you are a part of our family now beta. Everything ...and every decision we make, you should also come forward and give your opinions and suggestions ...and never get afraid of my son... He is not bad at heart... (He smiled and finished and Geet too smiled and nodded)

Maan:- But you didn't tell me, how you came to know abt that ???

Geet:- I overheard Dadimaa.. I mean my Dadimaa and mama's convo with Dadimaa...

Maan and Yash looked at each other.. and it hit Yash that the ladies were there in His mother's room and she heard from them... in a way it was good that Geet came to know abt their and specially Maan's thinking on Avi's related matter ... and both sorted out as well..
