PART 61

Morning,

Geet opened her eyes and looked for Avi... He was sleeping on Maan... Half lying on bed and half of his body rested on Maan's chest ... Maan's hand was wrapped around him in a protective manner... Geet smiled looking at them both.. She didn't envy their closeness..she never had.. in fact she always has loved it and now too... She recalled the day, when she entered in this house and was told that Maan didn't like Avi anywhere near him... and so Avi was given a separate room ... far away from Maan's ... Then, she never thought, that one day they both will share this closeness... The thought of Avi's room reminded her that she needed to give Avi surprises ... lots of surprises ... so she got up from bed and went to see the preps ...

Later, when Avi got down ... family members wished him and they gifted Avi ... Avi was delighted ... he smiled when his Dadu gifted him a complete suit.. that matched with Maan's ... And little Avi was so happy to know, he will be dressed like his papa... Maan smiled at his joy..

Avi:- wow... Papa, aap bhi yehi dress pehno gey naa...??? (He looked at Maan expectantly since he noticed two suits in his Dadu's hands.. Yash and others also waited for Maan's reply)

Maan smiled ... and took the gift-that Yash has brought for him- in his hands ...

Maan:- of course... baap beta, ek jaise dress pehnen gey...

Avi:- yeyy... Chalo mama, mujhe ready karao...Bilkul papa ke jaisa, jaise wo ready hote hain office ke liye ...

With that sentence everyone laughed ... looking at Avi's excitement to be dressed like his papa ASAP... While Geet lovingly taped Avi's cheeks...

Geet:- Abhi aap ye pehno gey tou party tak tou ye dress kharab hojaegi naa???

Avi(gave that a thought):- oh !! Haan... Theek hai.. main sham ko he pehnogaa...

Dev :- Good boy...

Yash looked at Maan who was smiling lot today.. unlike other years, when he used to sit alone for hrs .. getting angry on that day... He hated His mom.. and he hated payal too... and that's why, Maan never wanted to celebrate the birthdays ... that fell on the same days ...

But Geet's entry in their lives ... have changed everything ... everyone ... for good ...

Yash looked around for Geet... and saw she was in kitchen... He excused and went to her... Geet turned and was surprised to see yash in the kitchen...

Geet:- Uhh!!! Papa ji , you .. here??? Did you need something ???

Yash(shook his head):- Thank you so much beta... (He glanced at Maan who was smiling with Avi and others) you have made a robot , a man...

Geet(too looked at them all and smiled):- This is my family papa ji.. and everyone deserves happiness..

Yash(nodded with a smile and came forward, putting a blissful hand over Geet's head he mouthed):- Bless you beta... (Geet smiled and Yash then went out)

Yash felt bad to send Avi away.. and he decided that he won't do that to the girl, who has given them lots of happiness.. and most importantly.. She has given them their Maan back.. who completely was lost in the mask of the MSK-with Payal's betrayal... Yash decided he will go against his own son, again and won't let Avi go from their lives ...

Co-indecently, Maan also was having same thoughts... while he was busy enjoying with Avi. The little boy has gotten used to him now ...and he too liked his little gestures now ... He even thought to ask his Dad to not to tell anyone abt this and lets forget that thought...

Maan looked at his dad, who was going to enter Savitri devi's room.. Yash gestured Maan to follow him.. and he did... leaving Avi with Dev and NT...

Dev and NT's marriage occurred 6 months before Maaneet's marriage, and they shifted here with Maan...since Maan didn't get well with Avi so Yash had asked his brother to send Dev and NT which both obliged.. and till now, they were not planning for kids... They liked Avi so much .. and Avi too liked his uncle and Aunt..They thought, they will take care of him and were doing great.. But still there was something missing on Avi's face, that was filled with Geet's -His mama's-entry in His life...

Yash told What Geet's mother suggested and his mother got furious ... more than Yash, when he heard Maan..

Dadimaa:- No... Nothing like that will ever happen yash... and mark my words... Am very clear on that ...

Yash sighed in happiness... while Maan still was thinking abt Geet's future... Seeing a confused Maan, yash tried to tell his mother what Maan wanted for Geet's betterment...

Yash:- Maa plz, Geet isn't giving her attention towards her studies...

Dadimaa(cut him in anger):- And so??? You are planning to separate the child from her???

Maan:- He isn't a child anymore Dadimaa...He now is, 7 years old...

Dadimaa (cut him as well with an angry look):- Still a child Maan...

Maan sighed in anger and helplessness... While Yash kept his hand on Maan's shoulder to not to answer her back.. as she was getting angry on them now ... Her health would have been affected... Maan nodded and looked away...

Dadimaa:- I will talk to her mother and my friend too... If they think that, by doing this they will get her attention in family matters or (she looked at yash) focus on her studies more then they are wrong ...she will never be able to concentrate on anything if you will separate them...

Yash: ok Maa... don't stress yourself.. we got your answer... (He turned to Maan) Maan, lets go...

Maan just stood and yash dragged him out ... They stopped outside and yash sighed...

Yash:- She is right Maan.. I think, we shouldn't separate them... Her parents will also come today.. Maa will handle everything .. and as far as, her study is concerned ...we can talk to her and make her understand ... Hmmm...

Maan:- Actually Dad, I also was thinking to do anything else but send Avi away from her... and myself ...

Yash(smirked):- Are you getting attached with your kid Maan???

Maan(got annoyed at his smirk):-Dad !! plz...Stop teasing me, am not a kid... (He looked away and left from there while Yash laughed at Maan's fake annoyance ... Of course Yash knew his son too well to know that he had liked Avi now)

Evening,

Avi was ready in his complete suit... and came to Maaneet's room.. to see his papa...while Geet ran after him.. But Maan wasn't there.. Avi's face was abt to fell but just then, Maan came out from rest room.. ready to compete with his own son..

Maan gave a once over to Avi and smirked ..He exactly was looking like carbon copy to Maan... While Geet looked at Maan, getting lost in his handsome features ... Avi saw Maan and ran to him with a huge smile...

Avi:-papa... Dekho main aap jaisa lag raha hoon naa...

Maan(took him up in his arms and smiled):- Bilkul mere jaisa... Kis ne tayyar kia???

Avi:- Mama ne...

Maan (looked at Geet and got confused):- You aren't ready yet, Geet??? (and she was brought back to the earth)

Geet:- Uhh!! Wo.. I .. was going to get ready now...

Saying that , she avoided looking at him and went to cupboard to get her sari out from there... Avi ran off the room saying, he will ask everyone else, how is he looking ...While Maan stood in front of mirror to get ready..

After 10 mints Geet came out from washroom.. and this time he looked at her without a blink...

She was looking an angel in her saree... She was busy in setting her saree pallu's.. so missed his admiring looks for her...

And when she looked at him, fully dressed she too got lost in him.. She always had admired her Hubby Khurrana and liked him ... and today, black tuxedo was enhancing his killer features.

Geet caught his staring and felt shy... She looked away and came to stand in front of mirror...

Maan:- You are looking nice ...

This was first ever time, he commented on her dressing and praised her... Geet was shocked at his sudden remark but shying she looked down..

Geet:- You too are looking handsome in this suit..

Maan(looked at her shyness in amusement and a sudden thought, to tease her more, came in his mind):- What do you mean by looking handsome in this suit.. Am I not handsome otherwise???

Geet(was astonished at this and she looked at him... ST:- Did he mind, my compliment ???):- Uhh!! No no.. I didn't .. mean that ...I was saying ... I ... was ... saying ... (He came near her and smiled at her and Geet was stopped at that )

Maan:- Relax, am just pulling your leg... (Geet looked at him in confusion to which he added) Why ??? Do you think that I can always and only be a rude .. and arrogant person??

Geet(looked away and murmured, after getting his points that he was teasing her):- And Dusht Danav...

Maan(heard that and asked in fake anger):- What ???

Geet:- uhh!! Nothing... Errmm, lets go down... We are getting late...

She was abt to move out of the room but the door opened and Avi ran inside, taking Maan's hand in his ... He guided him out ...

Avi:- Chalo Chalo papa, late ho raha hai... guests kab se wait kar rahe hain... Mama aap bhi chalo, cake cut karna hai, phir gifts bhi lene hain.. Aur aap ka gift bhi... Chalo chalo...

With that, Maaneet smiled and looked at each other... Then headed down stairs with Avi in between them both, holding their hands in his hands...

Party,

The cake ceremony was done and then guests and other family members enjoyed the party... While Avi was after Geet to give him his present.. But Geet convinced him,that in a few hrs, she will give gifts.. and so Avi waited eagerly for the party to be ended...

Geet's parents reached a bit late ... and were greeted by Savitri Devi and Yash... then the ladies-Geet's mother and Grandmother -were instantly taken by her.. while yash settled with Geet's father... Yash knew what his mother gonna talk to them both and so engaged Mr Khanna in talks with him...
