PART 52

He was still standing there.. turned and looked at Geet...she was turning on the bed ... It looked like she was quite happy.. hearing his outing plans .. He smiled a bit and then turned to his side of the bed .. and soon dozed off...

Next day morning,

Maan announced of their HP plan... and as expected everybody got happy hearing him... Yash gave an assuring smile to Maan, as to let him know that was a great and needed decision... Maan smiled a bit and nodded ...

Avi:- wow...hum ghoomne jaa rahey hain????

Geet (smiled and nodded):- Haan... (She didn't get time to tell Avi abt their trip... as she was busy in preps)

Avi:- kitna mazaa ayega mama, hum teeno saath saath...

Geet nodded yet again and Maan shook his head at Avi's enthusiasm to go out... with his both parents ... He knew, the kid suffered a lot, even with living with them in this big mansion, Avi wasn't happy... Though he got all the love of Dadimaa, yash and Dev and NT.. But the love that the kid wanted was of, parental... That Geet showered upon him, when she came to their lives... and then everything started to get changed ...and Maan realized the kid deserves all the happiness of this life..and he didn't deserve to be ill treated coz of someone else's sins...

After BF... Avieet were gone for packing their things ...The elders shook their heads seeing their excitement.. while Dev and NT smiled in delight ... Maan left as soon as he was done ... He had to take leave for couple of days and he needed to take care of his office too.. so he went for arranging everything for that...

Evening,

Maan leaned back on his car with closed eyes ... and thought of his own decision..

what am I doing ??? Never ever took a single day off , from the time I have joined KC... and here am planning for an outing with the kids... that too for more than a day... I just hope, this trip does go well and nothing annoying would happen... only after knowing abt her... Am gonna try to give her and our relation a chance ...Just hope, Dad is right ... She has to be an innocent soul... but I will know more abt her ... on this trip... and then take this relation forward...

He entered Mansion and saw all bags packed ...Even his bag was there... He recalled that he had asked Nakul to pack his bags..

Geet('s chirpy voice made him look at her):- Shall we leave ???

Dadimaa(giggled):- Are Geet beta, let him come inside ... and have some coffee..

Dev (added):- yeah Bhabhi, Let him freshen up... at least ...

Geet(looked down feeling stupid.. to voice out her excitement):- Sorry.. wo... I...

NT(came and side hugged her):- I know, Bhabhi jii.. you want to go to your parents ASAP...and you are so happy for that ... hai naa...

That few words eased her...And Geet nodded...Feeling bit relaxed..She then looked at Maan... He looked away and turned to his Dad...

Maan:- Ahh!! I will just change and then we are leaving ...(The words were meant for Geet.. But he still looked at his father)Errmm, Dad, Is Suresh free???

Yash:- yeah...

Maan:- Cool then... Nakul... (he called and Nakul reached in no time) Get Suresh and tell him to take the car out ..We are leaving for HP in half an hr...

Yash:- you aren't taking your car??

Maan:- Uhh!! Dad, am tired... so... I think let the driver drive...

Yash nodded in understanding way... and Maan left to his room ... Meanwhile Dadimaa asked Nakul and other servants to carry the bags to the car Suresh was to drive... And they obliged ..

After 45 mints,

Maaneet were sitting on the back seat... with Avi in between them... and Maan closing his eyes...leaning back on his seat.. relaxing his over working brains ...Soon Avi got interested in looking out and He jumped over Geet's side... He was talking to her ... And Geet was listening to him and talking .. Maan looked at them .. their bond and their non-stop chatters ...

Maan(ST):- what should I talk??? Its so embarrassing ...Its like am stuck in between these two kids... Can't she behave maturely??? Yeah she behaves when it comes to Avi... (Maan shook his head and saw Geet and Avi, who were laughing over something now..They totally ignored Maan's presence there) Maybe once he is asleep I can try and tell her.. The reason of visiting her home...

After an hr,

Avi was sleeping resting his body half on Geet's and half on the seat... Now Geet felt the awkward silence ... and thought to break it.. since he was now looking outside...

Geet(ST):- what should I talk???(she thought and then)Yeah !! I will ask him, why all of sudden he is taking me out ..??? that too my place??? No no... What if, he got angry and declined this trip right here??? No no, I can't take risk... Hmm.. But why he isn't even looking at us.. Ab he is coming with us .. Then he must enjoy too naa?? Sach mein DD hain...(She twisted her lips and decided to not to initiate any talk... Just then she heard)

Maan:- when are your classes gonna start???

Now this was definitely not a good topic to discus on a Holiday trip... But he had seen her, looking at him and even trying hard to talk .. but when she didn't , he thought let him break the ice... and initiate a convo.. and he just asked a random quiz.. That first shocked Geet but then she replied ...

Geet:- umm... Next month...

Maan:- Hmm... You have got 10 days ...

Geet(nodded and then again silence prevailed..she thought to ask the quiz which was bothering her):- Can I ask you something, umm.. If you don't mind ???

Maan:- of course..

Geet:- why are you so changed ???(Maan looked at her and she contd) I mean.. First you accepted Avi... then took us out on shopping... bought a dress for me ... and now this sudden trip... Am actually shocked... What's going on???

Maan(Sighed and decided to tell her the truth, since she herself was interested in this topic):- Won't hide anything ...(she looked at him and he contd) I wanna know more abt you...(Geet glanced his way, getting surprised) As in, person...(he paused) Geet... You know abt my past... You know am already HURT... Don't wanna take more risks ... In case, you didn't turn out to be a good person... (Geet looked at him and smiled sadly.. She was getting what he was hinting at.. She nodded and Maan thought to clarify more) Ahh!! Look, don't think am some freak person... But my experience with women is (He paused and searched for a proper word) horrible...I know , you are somewhat different .. And you just are happy being with Avi..(Geet looked away.. He knew she was getting wrong ideas.. and he was messing up the convo...) But tell me one thing... What do you expect from our this marriage ???(He diverted the talks cleverly.. and he was successful in getting her out from her sadness... As Geet looked back at him... in surprise)

Geet:- Huhh???

Maan(repeated):- what do you think abt this relation..???

Geet(smiled):- You forgot??? (Maan looked at her puzzled) I confessed that night.. That I like you... But you, always turn my efforts down.. you said , that night .. That I must not cross any limits .. and OUR relation can never change... But here... you are asking abt my expectations ????

Geet was returning his words back at him... Rendering him speechless for a couple of mints...and then Avi got up and her whole focus turned to his side.. Maan closed his eyes, that he was very close to get her answer, only if, Avi hadn't got up from his sleep... and took her attention away... He was little bit relaxed that she wasn't thinking on leaving him...But to his surprise... He heard her...

Geet:- Don't worry, I don't expect anything from you...I Know, abt your insecurities ...Take your time... I will wait till you know and accept me fully...

She smiled his way, taking him by shock, at her confident talks... He was amazed , the way she eased the tensed situation surrounding them... The way she heard and took all his talks like an understanding wife...amazed him...He thought living with a child, she was going to behave like a kid even in front of him.. but her matured talks at this point..proved his thoughts wrong..At this point, she managed to grab a tiny place for herself... in his HEART...He smiled and looked away... while their journey to HP contd...
