PART 49

Maan (shook his head with a smile,ST):- Both are kids... How am I supposed to get closer to Him..He shares very comfortable bond with her..I Need to work hard for that .. and then a thought came in his mind ... Satisfied he lied on bed and soon slept looking at the kids,sleeping beside him...

Morning,

Maan opened his eyes and he wasn't shocked to see Avi on his side ..Sleeping, hugging him... and on the other side ..Geet was resting her head on his arm... He tried to disentangle himself from Geet's grip.. but sighed as she shifted more closer to him..He turned his eyes and saw the messed up bed of his ... pillows thrown here and there ... Avi's teddy on floor... His comic books , still on Geet's side of the bed ... that she always keeps, in case Avi wakes up and didn't get sleep, so she would always tell him the stories and get him to sleep again...Maan gulped down his anger...

Maan(ST):- I will have to get used to this situation..The mess they create... But Wish I can get time for that ...

But what he didn't know or didn't want to acknowledge was, he already has wasted the time.. Time of 5 years in ignoring and hating Avi and then Geet.. for almost a year ... He wasn't sure, what he wanted from Geet... from this marriage of theirs ..But he has made up his mind that he will start spending his time with Avi.. The adopted kid ...and know him in a better way .. As for Geet.. she was in his next prior list, after Avi... So he thought to spend time with Avi by taking him with himself on shopping...

But the prob was he wouldn't have been able to manage Avi all by himself in the malls and abt his likes and dislikes?? was also a question mark for him... so that meant, he had to take Geet with them.. and Maan was ready to do that ... But his ego wasn't ready to ask her directly...

Breakfast Table...

Maan sat with Avi beside him and Geet was trying to serve him his fav dishes .. But Today, Avi was in mood of throwing tantrums, after all he was back after so many days and he deserved all the attention from everyone .. so he wasn't eating but demanding something else.. 

Maan, at first thought to scold him and he will eat anything placed on dinning table ..But then, he wanted to see what Geet does for that purpose..in this situation.. How she is gonna pacify the tantrum kid to eat from these things... As he was new to learn everything abt him... so he wanted to see her reactions to Avi's demands...

He was pleasantly surprised to see .. How Geet easily convinced him to have the BF, of her choice... and later they will eat ice creams from outside... along with,watching a cartoon movie at home.. Avi smiled in delight and had whatever Geet offered ...

This staring of Maan towards Geet and Avi was noticed by Yash and Dev, who eyed Dadimaa and NT ... They were glad that, at least Maan was showing interest in Geet and Avi's talks ...

The verdict of the judge has caused a few changes in Maan...which Maan realized last night and rest of the family members were witnessing today..

Yash coughed and Maan's staring session was broken...Maan didn't fail to notice the smirk that was present in Yash and Dev's smiles .. He shook his head and ate... whereas the one person, was oblivious to that silent talks and teasing.. Geet.. her mind was completely occupied in Avi's thoughts for now .. as he was talking and eating simultaneously.. and she had to pay attention to his words if she wanted him to eat all things she had placed in his plate...and then he was home after months ... But she was attentive to Yash's words as they were directed for her..

Yash:- Geet beta.. I was thinking now that we got our little Avi back.. why don't we throw party??? as in, welcoming gesture for Avi... what do you say ???

Geet looked at Maan..Though, she wanted to scream yes and is big yes...But Afraid that he would burst .. any moment ...But when he blankly looked at her ... she nodded ...

Geet:- Great idea... papaji..

Yash:- Maan???

Maan(too nodded):-Am cool with it .. In fact.. why don't Avi and I go for shopping for the party???

Maan suggested , shocking everyone out there with his words..

Maan(ST):- wow.. Didn't know, I will get the chance that easily... Thanks Dad...

Geet:- what ??? you??? Avi ???Shopping ??? for Avi?? (she was so much shocked that she was fumbling with her words and wasn't getting proper words)

Maan:- yes .. me and Avi.. going for shopping ???

Yash(ST):- Am I dreaming ??? My son is giving me shocks after shocks ... Firstly, he called him Avi.. contrary to what he used to call-Avinash.. and then he is suggesting to take Avi out for shopping and in turn agreeing to my party idea... wow.. That definitely can occur only in my dreams ...

Dadimaa had tears of joy in her eyes ..while NT consoled her ... and Dev smiled looking at her...

Maan(saw the dramatic family of his and shook his head, then turned towards Avi):- so, what do you say Avi?? will you go on Shopping with me???

Avi(jumped in happiness):- wow!! papa aap mujhe shopping karaogey.??? (Maan nodded with,trying to give him a smile..for which he didn't fail much) wow... kitna maza aayega... Hum sab saath chalengey..

Maan:- uhh!! Nahi Avi.. Sirf papa and Avi...

Avi(looked upset):- Mama??? (He asked from Maan and at the same time looked at Geet... who still was trying to convince herself that it was real and not a joke)

Maan looked at Geet-He wasn't much happy with the idea of Geet accompanying them,though he had tried and somewhat convinced himself to take Geet along .. but now he was looking at Geet and then the kid...who was all ready to deny Maan's efforts to try and work out as a good father... But, yash jumped in and took control over the situation and gave decision...

Yash:- I think, its a perfect Idea.. Maan take Geet and Avi on shopping... (He eyed Maan suggestively and a bit sternly to not to deny this time and Maan nodded)

Maan:- Alright then, will come back at lunch time and then we will head for shopping...

Avi:- yeyy..!! Thank you papa.. (he came forward and sat in Maan's lap kissing his cheek with all his love) you are the best papa...

Maan smiled a bit and hugged him..Though, he didn't like the kiss.. As Avi's mouth was messed with food particles..But didn't snap at him...It surely , took all his control to not to say anything to the kid..He then parted and went from there to their room to collect his laptop and other stuffs...

while Geet stood there, with a smile touching her lips ...He was changing .. and he was changing for good ... She now was hopeful that one day, he will accept her and their relation too...

Evening, at one of the best Malls ...

Maaneet were greeted by the sale's person and then were escorted to the kids section for clothes.. Geet has decided that she will not interrupt Father and Son and will just see their interaction... She was happy that at least he was giving Avi a chance ... to let him come close to him.. and she was desperately wanting Avi to get his father's love along with hers ...

Avi got lost in asking this and that thing and Maan accompanied him everywhere... Initially he was kinda getting bored and irritated but then one look at Geet, would remind her and of his resolve to come close to Avi, and he was paying attention to Avi's every single word...

After an hr...

Avi:- papa.. Bhook lagi hai... Chalo naa kuch khane chaltey hain...

Maan:- ok.. (They were going to exit the mall when he turned to Geet) you aren't buying anything ???

Geet:- I don't want anything ...

Maan(sighed):- I hope, it has nothing to do with my credit cards and using my money???

Geet looked away feeling uncomfortable at his direct approach... And Maan's doubts got cleared ...that she was hesitating ...

Maan:- Look, get anything if you like... I don't mind, paying for you both... Go, get something ..

Geet:- Am fine .. Lets go..

Maan sighed at the stubborn kid in her.. and without telling anything to them..entered a ladies boutique.. With fake smile to Avi, Geet too went after Maan, taking Avi along ...

Geet(whispered):- what are you doing ?? I said, I don't want anything ... Trust me , am fine ... (But instead of arguing with her, he just handed her a dress)

Maan:- Try this ..

Geet:- Huhh!! I don't...

Maan(cut her):- Just go.. (He turned to the sale's women) Excuse me, where's the changing room, show her that plz...

Geet heaved a defeated sigh and followed the women.. To her surprise, the dress fitted her perfectly.. She liked the color and every work, done on that ... and mentally decided she will wear that to tomorrow's party...

After trying Geet nodded and Maan bought the dress along with Avi's toys and clothes ... Then finally made their ways to a Restaurant...
