PART 47

The judge, who has witnessed all the love and care of Geet and Avi.. and a little few words of Payal's truth ... was highly angry.. He could differentiate the two mothers ... and see both's real faces now ... He made a mental note to question Payal for that harsh behavior on the little kid ...and the reasons behind that...

All seated on their chairs, once the Judge sat and then the court proceedings for the day, started... This time, Prem's lawyer got the opportunity to inquire Maan, since it was revealed and PP's were blamed for the claim for child was coz of the khurrana's property on Avinahs's name .. so now , Lawyer wanted to question MSK and try to ruin his image in the society...

Maan was called and Geet's hand on Maan's arm got tightened in an unknown fear.. Maan looked at her and then softly pulled her hand away with a small assuring smile..Geet was not convinced but left his hand ...

Lawyer:- Mr khurrana.. you were once married to Payal, Right ???

Maan:- yes...

Lawyer:- why you broke your marriage ???

Maan:- I didn't ... She left ... oh!! Actually she ran away with her BF..

Lawyer:-you mean, with her current Husband???

Maan:-I don't know, if he was her BF or someone else...

Lawyer(smiled):- what a shame Mr Khurrana.. you were a careless husband.. you didn't even try to know the man... your wife was involved with???

PP smirked at that and Payal looked at Geet with a smile... Geet glared her ...

Geet(ST):- why this lawyer is asking these quiz now ???

Maan:- She never told me anything... I thought to give her time and space to let her adjust in new surroundings and with me but...

Lawyer (rudely cut him):- But you never ever tried to get closer to her???

Geet(stood up and almost shouted):- These are irrelevant questions??

Maan looked at her and shook his head, looking at Geet... while Dev and Amit tried to calm her anger... Geet looked at Payal, and threw a disgusting glare  her way... and sat with angered face...

Maan:- Listen Mr, if you are trying to know the whole truth then I will be honored to tell every single game of hers...But I don't want to ruin a lady's image in the public..There won't be any difference between US, in doing so... (Maan said US looking at Payal... and sure, he knew what she was intending to do by dragging their past in this matter)

Geet(ST):- Since when he started to care for a women's image, that too of Payal's ???Huhh!!!

Amit :- My lord, since this case is for Avinash Khurrana's custody and not for why , my client- Mr Maan Khurrana and Mrs payal, didn't get well along ... I request my friend lawyer to not to go there...and stick to the current case...

Judge(turned to PP's lawyer):- Just stick to the case ...

Lawyer nodded with an apology and looked back at Maan ... Who was looking at him with calm face... He needed to be calm and composed, in order to win the case...He knew that and so he tried hard on his anger and somehow managed to control that ..

Lawyer:- Ok.. In the last hearing, My friend (pointing at Amit Kumar)said that Avinash khurrana has got 25% of shares of KC, is that so ???

Maan(nodded):- yes...

Lawyer:- Enlighten us, Mr Khurrana, when you transferred them on his name ???

Maan: I think, when he was barely of 1 year.. (Maan turned to the judge) My Lawyer will provide you the docs with the exact dates...

Lawyer:- what was the need ??? I mean, why you transferred ...when you don't even look at him??? We have heard your hatred for Mr Avinash Khurrana...

Maan sighed, he knew this question will come and despite of his own lawyer's advice-to make up a story of that instead of telling truth.. Maan stuck with-telling the truth..Seeing him silent.. lawyer probed further...

Lawyer:- why you transferred 25% of your property on his name ???

Maan(looked at Geet once-who has closed her eyes and prayed-and then direct in the lawyer's eyes, and spoke in an stern voice):- Coz Avinash isn't my Son.. and so my grandmother and my father wanted surety that Avinsah's future was secure so I made arrangements and transferred the shares on his name...

Lawyer (caught the weak point here):- wait a mint... That means , your own family members didn't trust you enough with Avinsah ??? Right ??

Maan(glared him and then looked at the judge):- In a way, that's right ...

Lawyer:-So the stories of your hatred for Avinsah are true ?? Its clear my lord, that Mr MSK doesn't like Avinash and that's the reason his own family members didn't trust him with Avinash... How can we give Khurrana's, the custody of this child ..

Maan(cut him):- I apologize, but you didn't hear me fully...My lord, Its true I didn't like him at all.. But even then he has been living with us-Khurrana's for whole 5 years ... we haven't abused him there.. nor let him cry for anything ... It doesn't matter if he gets My attention or not .. But he has His own family there.. There is a girl-who calls herself His mother.. not only calls .. but has proven herself to be his mother in real means ...

Lawyer (interrupted him):- what do you mean ??? who is that girl??

Maan:- My wife.. Geet...

Lawyer:- oh ... oh yes...Your newly-wedded wife... (He taunted, and earned a glare from Maan) That reminds me, my lord... I would like to question her too...

Even judge was waiting for her to come in the witness box.. He wanted to see, how she is going to react.. He has seen Payal- being angry, frustrated and irritated when she was questioned ...and now, judge wanted to see Geet's reactions as well..

Judge permitted .. and Geet was once again called in the witness box..

Lawyer:- First of all ma'am, tell us your age??

All looked at the lawyer... Maan's fist tightened ... but didn't say anything ... Geet , first was hesitant ... but then her mind and heart only wanted Avi back to her... and so she started .. with full confidence...

Geet:- Am gonna turn 21, soon...

Lawyer:- you are married to Mr Maan Singh Khurrana.. When you got married with him???

Geet:- Its almost going to be a year...

Lawyer:- you don't remember your marriage date???

Geet:- you are getting personal... Told you..And I don't need to show YOU the marriage certificates ...

The court hall broke into giggles .. Even Maan had a faint smile on his lips.. He knew, she was blatant in many things ..He knew, she got annoyed ...The judge... silenced all and then the shocked lawyer came back to his senses...

Geet:- sorry... (She looked apologetically to the judge who nodded in understanding ... Nevertheless gave a warning to behave properly)

Lawyer:- so, you know Mr Maan for almost a year now ... when did you come to know abt MSK's so-called son ???

Geet:- Always knew abt Avi... From the day one, I knew even at that time ... He has a son.. and yes its His son... Not some so called son...(She corrected the lawyer-a bit rudely and contd) I met with Avi on my wedding day.. He was all the time there, performing rituals with me .. (she had a smile recalling her marriage day.. and the Judge now looked at the young girl.. He could easily see , from where their bond came, which he witnessed at the corridor ...

Lawyer:- ok so tell us Mrs Khurrana, how is Mr khurrana's bond with Avinash???

Geet(looked at Maan at that quiz.. she kinda was worried if to tell the truth or lie.. She took a deep breath and then said):- Judge sahaab, I won't lie... Maan doesn't like Avi...(She again looked at Maan, who now was looking down, and she knew he was angry) Of course,why would he be happy .. seeing someone else's kid in front of his eyes 24*7.. None can accept the fact ... But when that so called mother came back and took Avi away, I asked him to get Avi back.. and see he is with me here today for OUR Avi... I know, you might think Avi won't be happy with us ... but, as my Husband said.. you can think Avi has been living with us for 5 years ... and we never ever hurt him, despite Maan's disliking towards him, still he never even shouted at Avi, forget abt slapping Avi...that His so called mother was trying to do ... couple of days back... (She got a chance and she spat out all her anger from the morning she felt for Payal, in one go)

Lawyer and rest of ppl present in the court room were alerted hearing her...

Lawyer:- what do you mean by slapping ... ??? None, slapped there when he was with his biological parents...

Geet:- you are lying Mr Lawyer... Judge sahaab, ask Avi... He just told me today,before today's proceedings started ... what Payal was doing with him... In fact, do ask him... He will tell you the truth...

Judge:- There's no need for that Mrs khurrana... Coz ,few of your talks, I have heard myself ... when I was crossing the path... (Geet smiled in delight.. Her hopes were getting higher and higher) But I still would like to ask the kid ... (He announced) call the kid.. in the witness box..

Geet came back from witness box and soon she saw Avi was being brought inside the court room... He gave Geet a flying kiss... to which she smiled ... and went to sit beside Maan... who unknowingly had a smile on his face... He kinda was adoring the two kids of his life...
