"Devon, why didn't you say anything to anyone? Just tell me what happened!" Lor asked angrily. She was upset that Devon refused to explain.

"Nothing. I just... slipped," Devon muttered while lying in the sick room. Sarah, the school nurse, had asked him to stay there while she and the staff tried to figure out what had happened. But Devon hadn't given a clear answer yet. He told them he wasn't sure what had happened, leaving them to wonder if he had panicked or something.

"Somebody has to do something about this, right? Tell me the truth, Devon," Lor demanded, her voice rising slightly.

"Um... uh..." Devon began nervously, unsure whether he should tell the truth or keep it hidden.

"Okay, fine. Don't ever talk to me again if you don't want to tell me what happened. If you don't trust me, then there's no point in us dating, right?" Lor said. Devon froze, scared of losing her. Her tone and expression made it clear she meant what she said. Lor was furious.

"No, I... I trust you," Devon stammered.

"Okay, then tell me now. I'm not going to ask again," Lor demanded. Devon hesitated but finally spilled the truth.

"We need to report this to the staff," Lor said after listening to Devon's story.

"But... but what if she... if she?" Devon stuttered, clearly afraid. His mind raced with fear that Sissy might act like Ruben.

"She what, Devon? Are you really that scared of some stupid girl your age?" Lor asked. Devon said nothing.

He began to think about what Lor said. He couldn't compare Ruben with Sissy. Sissy was just a girl his age, while Ruben was a grown man, strong and intimidating. Lor was right.

"Yes, you are right," Devon finally said.

"Okay, I'm telling the staff what you said, and when they ask you, you better tell the truth," Lor replied firmly.

"Okay," Devon agreed.

Lor went to Sarah's office and knocked on the door.

"Come in," Sarah's voice called from inside. Lor opened the door and stepped in.

"Lor, what is it about? Is this about your detention?" Sarah asked.

"No, ma'am. Devon told me what happened. He's scared to tell the truth, and I don't know why," Lor said. She explained to Sarah what Devon had told her.

"Okay, I'll go and talk to him. By the way, you still have three days of detention for fighting with Ina," Sarah said. Lor said nothing and left.

"Devon, Lor said you are ready to tell me what happened," Sarah said. Slowly, Devon explained everything.

"Thanks for finally sharing," Sarah said. "Now take a rest," she added before going to meet the staff.

"Devon and Sissy are telling two different stories," Sarah said during the meeting. "Sissy says Devon asked her to go to the river because Ina was waiting for her there. But Devon says Sissy told him to go to the river because Lor was waiting for him. However, Lor said someone locked the door while she was in the washroom, and it was Ina who opened it."

"And we found Ina and Hyeon-U hiding behind the bushes," Mark added. "They said they were smoking, but we didn't find any cigarettes or anything like that."

"Do you think they planned something?" Jake asked.

"But why?" Mark questioned, confused.

"I think Sissy is that type of person," Dr. Emily said. "According to her records, she caused trouble like this at her previous school too. Hyeon-U is also a bully, and Ina isn't much better. But Sissy has a history of making this kind of trouble." The others nodded in agreement.

"So, what are we going to do about this? Are we informing the parents?" Linda asked.

"Do they have any serious injuries?" Sarah asked Linda, who was the nurse.

"No, they're fine," Linda replied.

"Then we don't need to inform the parents. It would be bad for our reputation," Sarah said.

"I don't think Sissy was in the river as long as Devon," Linda added. "So there's no way Devon pushed her in."

"Really? Do you think she jumped into the river?" Mark asked.

"How can you even guess something like that?" Sarah replied, looking annoyed.

"I read a lot of detective novels," Mark said.

"But that could actually be possible, considering Sissy's past," Emily added.

"But doesn't Devon have a much worse report than her?" Jake asked.

"Yes, but after talking with him, I'm not sure if the report is accurate or if he's just a really good actor," Emily said. The others agreed because they had also noticed that Devon was the quietest kid at the camp, always looking like he was afraid of something.

"He's showing signs of someone who's been abused a lot," Mark said, drawing on his experience working with kids like that.

"That's what I thought too," Emily said. "But his report says the complete opposite."

"But our job isn't to find the truth," Sarah said. "Their parents pay us to teach them what we're supposed to and let them go." The others nodded in agreement.

Lor, Ina, Sissy, and Hyeon-U all received detention. Lor got detention for fighting with Ina and had to work in the kitchen for three days.

Ina was punished for fighting with Lor and claiming she smoked cigarettes with Hyeon-U. Even though there was no evidence, she received detention for both incidents. She had to work in the kitchen for three days and clean the toilets for another three days.

Hyeon-U also had to clean the toilets for three days.

As for Sissy, since she was in good health and no one believed her story, she was assigned outdoor cleaning for four days.
