"Can you believe that new guy? He came here a month after we did, and now he's acting like he's the boss," Sissy said angrily while eating dinner, glaring at Devon, who was sitting with Lor and Liam.

"Who?" Ina looked around, trying to figure out who Sissy was talking about.

"I'm talking about Devon, you stupid," Sissy said angrily.

"I'm not stupid," Ina replied, slamming her hand on the table.

"I don't like him either. I think he's dating Lor," Hyeon-U said.

"Why? Do you have a crush on Lor? She's 17, and you're 15," Ina teased, laughing at Hyeon-U. His face turned red with embarrassment.

"Shut up. I don't have a crush on her," Hyeon-U said angrily.

"Hyeon-U has a crush! Hyeon-U has a crush!" Ina started to sing, laughing loudly.

"Shut up, you b*tch," Hyeon-U said angrily.

"I don't like Lor either. She thinks she's a beauty queen, and everyone should bow to her and worship her," Sissy said, glaring at Lor enviously.

"I thought she was beautiful, though," Ina said, looking confused.

"This is why you're an idiot, Ina. Beauty is not something on the outside. It's on the inside," Sissy growled.

"Like in yours?" Hyeon-U said and started laughing. Ina joined in, laughing as well.

Sissy got angry but couldn't think of anything to say right away.

"Oh, she knows she doesn't have inner beauty or outer beauty. Ha ha ha..." Hyeon-U laughed uncontrollably. "Why don't you comb your hair, Sissy? If birds saw it, they'd make a nest! Ha ha ha. Don't you have a comb? Ha ha ha!"

At this point, Ina stopped laughing and stared at Hyeon-U. His laugh was so annoying. Sissy suddenly hit Hyeon-U, and he stopped laughing.

"Aw, that hurts," Hyeon-U said, grinding his teeth angrily.

"Shut up with your stupid laughing. It sounds like a donkey," Sissy said angrily.

"I have a plan," Sissy said after a few minutes of silence.

"Plan for what? To run away from here?" Hyeon-U asked. Ina also looked at Sissy, curious to know what she was talking about. They hadn't discussed any kind of plan before, and now Sissy was bringing it up.

"No, listen," Sissy said. The three of them leaned closer to each other, and Sissy started speaking in a lower voice.

"Hey, Devon, Lor asked you to meet her at the river behind the cabins," Sissy said to Devon. He was alone at that time, and Lor had gone to the washroom. Sissy had already asked Ina to lock the washroom door from the outside for a few minutes until she gave a signal.

"What? She said that to you?" Devon asked, looking surprised.

"I was surprised too. I think she was in a hurry. She looked scared. I was the only one in the washroom at that time, so maybe that's why she told me. She asked if I was going out, and I said yes. Then she begged me to tell you. She said, 'Please ask Devon to meet me behind the trees.' I asked, 'Why the hell can't you do that yourself?' And she said, 'I can't go there.' Sissy finished speaking, and Devon ran quickly behind the cabins, looking shocked.

Sissy signaled to Hyeon-U, who made a bird-like sound. Ina heard it and unlocked the door. All this time, Lor had been struggling to open the door.

"Who the hell locked this door?" Lor asked angrily as she came out.

"I don't know. I just came now and heard the noise. Then I unlocked the door," Ina said and left.

Devon ran to the river behind the cabins. It was a few meters away, and the river was lower down, so he had to go downhill. He almost fell and rolled toward the river several times because he was in such a hurry and felt nervous, but he managed to balance himself.

"Lor, Lor, where are you?" Devon shouted. He looked around, but no one was there. Darkness was setting in, and it was hard to see his surroundings.

"Shit, I should have brought a torch," Devon thought.

"Help me, Devon. I'm here," a faint voice called near the river. The voice wasn't clear, but it sounded like a girl.

"Lor, are you okay? Where are you?" Devon ran closer to the river. Suddenly, someone pushed him, and he fell into the water.

Devon was certain he heard someone running away, but he was too busy struggling to save his life. First, the water was freezing cold. Second, the riverbanks were higher than the water level. The only good thing was that the water wasn't flowing fast.

Devon tried to grab onto a plant on the riverbank, but every time he did, the plants were pulled out from the soil, or the branches broke, causing him to fall back into the water.

"Help! Help me!" Devon yelled, his voice echoing in the darkness. But he didn't give up. He kept trying.

"Where's Devon?" Lor asked Liam. She had been looking for him everywhere. They were supposed to meet in their secret private spot today too, but she hadn't found him there either.

"I didn't see him," Liam said.

Liam asked several people, but they all said they hadn't seen Devon.

"Hey, Lor, did you finish reading your library book? Can I borrow it?" Ina asked as she walked up to Lor.

"Did you see Devon?" Lor asked Ina.

"Mmm... oh yeah. I saw him with Irene. I think they're... having something. They went over there," Ina said, pointing toward some bushes.

Lor felt dizzy. Is he cheating on me? she thought as she walked toward the bushes to find out the truth. She heard whispering—a girl and a boy talking and laughing happily.

Lor jumped behind the bushes like a tiger jumping for its prey. But it wasn't Devon and Irene—it was Zack and Irene.

"Why the hell are you scaring us?" Zack asked angrily.

"Oh, sorry. I'm looking for Devon. I can't find him," Lor said with a worried voice.

"Maybe he's in his room or the toilet?" Zack suggested.

"No, he's not. I came out of the washroom and he was gone," Lor said, turning to head back.

"Maybe Sissy knows where he is. I saw her talking with him," Irene said.

Lor ran off, leaving Irene and Zack looking at her in shock.

Lor looked for Sissy everywhere, but she couldn't find her. Even her friend Ina didn't know where she was.

"What's wrong, Lor?" Peggy and Stas, Lor's best friends at the camp, came to her and asked.

"I can't find Devon. I looked for him as soon as I came out of the washroom, and then he was gone. Irene said she saw her talking with Sissy, but I can't find her either. Her friend said... Wait..." Something suddenly came to Lor's mind.

"What?" Stas asked curiously.

"Someone locked the toilet door while I was inside. After a few minutes, Ina unlocked it and said she didn't know who did it. Then she told me she saw Devon go behind the bushes with Irene, but it was Zack. Irene also said she saw Devon talking with Sissy. Ina and Sissy are best friends. You know how Sissy is, right? Do you think they did something to Devon?" Lor asked.

"We'd better tell someone. I don't think we should handle this on our own. Devon's life could be in danger. We need to act fast," Stas said.

They ran to Sarah's office and told her everything that had happened.

"Why the hell are they looking for me?" Sissy asked, surprised.

"Because Irene said she saw you talking with Devon. Now they're looking for you too to find out what happened," Ina said.

"Shit, what if they find Devon and he says it was me who led him there, and someone pushed him, and he suspects me?" Sissy asked angrily.

"This is your stupid, unwanted plan, Sissy. We didn't ask for this," Hyeon-U said. "Now, you should also go to the river, jump in, and say someone pushed you too. That's the only way to stop others from suspecting you," Hyeon-U said.

"But what about the lie I told him?" Sissy said.

"What lie?" Ina asked, and Sissy explained the lie she told Devon.

"Where's Ina, Hyeon-U?" They heard Mark's voice.

"Come on, Sissy, go to the river and jump. That's the only way now. We'll go out. Just run," Ina said. Sissy quickly ran to the river, and Ina and Hyeon-U came out of the bushes. When they came out together, Dr. Emily was there, looking at them suspiciously.

"What are you two doing there?" she asked. No one answered.

"Ina?" she turned to Ina and suddenly realized why. She was 17, and Hyeon-U was 15.

"No, no, no, madam, there's nothing like that. We were just... just... smoking," Ina said.

"Smoking inside the camp? You two, go to my office. I'll deal with you two after finding the missing kids," Dr. Emily said angrily.

Ina and Hyeon-U slowly walked toward Dr. Emily's office.

"I think she might think you're a pedo, ha ha ha," Hyeon-U started his stupid laugh again.

"Shut the fuck up," Ina said angrily, hitting Hyeon-U.

"Where the hell is Devon? Where the hell is he?" Suddenly, Lor jumped at Ina, and both of them fell to the ground. Lor was sitting on Ina's body, pushing her to the ground. "Where the hell is Devon? Tell me!" Lor screamed.

"I... I don't know," Ina said.

"I know you know where he is. Tell me!" Lor started hitting Ina, and there was shouting, screaming, and yelling as others gathered around them.
