The sun shines brightly above Vale as the streets were littered with families and workering class men and women.

A young boy who was sitting in his high chair played with his food, getting it all over himself. The mother looked at her son and smiled sweetly and shook her head at the mess her son had made. she pulls out a few tissues from her back and begins to clean him up. As she does his face, the boy giggles with his eyes closed as his little hands hold hers. After her finished with his face. She moved onto the rest of him. He looks up and looks in awe. He points the sky.

Boy: Birdie!

The mother looks at him then at the sky to see both Ike and yourself fly into the city. Her mouth gaped as she stared in awe.

Woman: Oh my goodness.

With you. You see Beacon ahead and fist bump the air.

(Y/n): Home sweet home Ike!

Ike screeches in his Phoenix form and descends towards the courtyard.

You let go of Ike's talon and land on the ground. Ike transforms back into his human form and stretches.

Ike: God. Flapping your arms like that makes your joints stiffen up like hell.

He groans as a few pops are heard from his arm.

???: You're back!

You look to see Bianca running towards you.

(Y/n): Hey Bianca!

She stops in front of you both and smiles.

Bianca: Did you get it?

You nod.

Ike: We came, we saw, we kicked its ass!

(Y/n): We're lucky we got it before it started breeding. Imagine the chaos that could have been caused by it reproducing...

Ike: Yeah that'd be bad.

Bianca: No shit.

Ike looks at you and taps his broken flask on your shoulder. You roll your eyes.

(Y/n): Jasper.

Your eyes turn red as you look at Ike then touch his flask as it repairs itself from the dents.

Ike: Thank you bro!

Jasper: Be careful next time.

Your eyes return to normal. You shiver and take a deep breath.

(Y/n): Anyway, what's been going on since we were last here?

Bianca thinks by putting her index finger on her chin.

Bianca: Well. Everyone that came with us in the Nightmare quest has fully recovered.

You nod and look at the city from the cliff.

(Y/n): Anything recent?

Bianca walks and steps right next to you.

Bianca: Actually there was one thing last night.

Ike and yourself look at her before exchanging a confused look at each other.

Timeskip~

All three of you were in the gym. Ike was reading the news board on your scroll that he borrowed while sitting on your back as you did push ups.

Ike: Shit. A whole shipment of dust gone just like that?

You grunt after your twenty third push up and hold your upper torso up.

(Y/n): Nightmare?

Ike nods.

Ike: Maybe. He had a little help though judging by these photos. Know any Grimm that could leave a mark like this?

Ike asks as he lowers the scroll down you your eye level. You analyse the photo on your scroll and hum to yourself.

(Y/n): Hmm...Nevermore maybe.

Ike raises a brow.

Ike: Those big bird things?

Bianca who was running next to you on a treadmill in gym shorts and a blue sports bra, peaks at the photo.

Bianca: The claw marks are larger than an adult Nevermore. He might have his hands on a Creeper.

You continue with your push ups.

Ike: Could be if he mutated it. Creepers aren't aquatic Grimm though are they?

Bianca stops the treadmill and looks at the both of you.

Bianca: No.

You stop again and start standing up which almost makes Ike fall off you and onto his ass.

Bianca: What do you think (Y/n)?

You look at her and notice her body glistening thanks to the combination of sunbeams through the gym's windows and her sweat.

You gulp and look away.

(Y/n): I think...I'm going to go swim in the pool. Don't wait up okay?

They both nod and wave at you.

You turn around and exit the gym. You walk over to the locker room to change your clothes and grab some clean towels to dry yourself off with afterwards.

(Y/n): My god she's toned as hell....

Realising you said that in your head with your two conscience-like neighbours in your head. You facepalm and slam your locker shut.

(Y/n): Not a fucking word you two.

Your response from the two was a chuckle who you guessed was Star and a grunt from Jasper. You walk into the pool area and put your towel on a bench.

You dip your toe in then pull it back at the surprise of the temperature. You dip it in again and relax before mustering up the courage to dive into the water.

You start doing laps. Your thoughts wonder to two weeks ago.

Flashback~

Ike: Nightmare is the most illusive and cunning enemy we have ever faced. Not to mention the most patient.

Ike takes a swig from his flask and clears his throat after a good gulp of his flasks alcoholic content.

Ike: We thought we had an ally within the ranks of the Seekers. Turns out he was just as power hungry as the rest of them.

He places the flask in his jacket's pocket.

(Y/n): What did he do?

Ike: Simple. The minute he got his hands on the one thing he had been waiting twenty years for. He turned his back on the rest of the seekers. Killed the ones that were with him. Even their leader didn't stand a chance and was forced to flee. Being the only survivor. Only later to find out that the earth portal he entered was manipulated by Nightmare. He later came back as the sin of Greed.

(Y/n): The eternal sword that Star eventually breaks. That's the thing he finally got his hands on right?

You question. Ike confirms your question with a nod.

Ike: Star said that when he broke the sword, Nightmare grabbed onto the soul stone that powered the sword and was absorbed into it while Star was absorbed into the forever crystal.

Bianca: Forever Crystal?

Ike looks at his faunas companion.

Ike: A very powerful mineral. Think of the crystal as a game item that is extremely rare to get.

You both nod.

Ike: Now imagine the chances of getting it, in this case finding it, are a trillion to one.

Both Bianca and your eyes widen.

(Y/n): Monty oum.

Bianca: They must serve a high purpose if they are that rare.

Ike: Think of it as a sealer stone that Nightmare, my brothers and I were encased in but it could hold very powerful people in it and had a built in world for them.

Bianca: So like a prison world almost?

Bianca questions.

Ike: Yes but in crystal form.

You lean back.

(Y/n): These powerful people...how powerful are we talking?

Ike looks at the both of you. He leans in and gestures for you both to come closer with his left index finger.

Ike: Gods.

Both of you look at each other as Ike leans back and nods in a 'yeah' type of way.

Ike: Anyway...back to the subject of Nightmare. When Star, Jasper and I escaped the forever crystal's hold and lived our lives for a few days. The Seven arrived. We thought it was the Seekers trying to fight still after finding out the truth about Nightmare but turns out they ditched the Seekers. We were surprised to see familiar faces among them. Like superhuman zombies I said.

He chuckles at that last part.

Ike: They managed to repair the eternal sword using Nightmare's notes and sacrificed Gaspard, The sin of sloth to power the soul stone. However with it never being broken before until Star, the sword didn't last long before breaking again. Though the soul stone was still active and disappeared in a pool of darkness from which Nightmare emerged. Reborn.

Ike rubs his hands together slowly.

Ike: We hit him with everything. Shot him in his vital areas, burned him alive, a whole freakin ancient temple collapsed on top of him...nothing worked. He would just be back a few minutes later.

Bianca rubs her head.

Bianca: He really is immortal...

Ike: Yeah...

You stand and look at the both of them.

(Y/n): There's gotta be a way to beat him.

Ike looks at you.

Ike: You're damn right there is.

Ike points at the amulets around your neck.

Ike: Those amulets are it.

You look at him then at the amulets.

(Y/n): Really?

Ike: We don't know how yet but those Eternal amulets can help us.

You hold onto them tightly.

Present~

You hold onto the edge of the pool and hold onto the amulets around your neck. They've never left your person ever since you first wore them.

You rest your head on the cold tiles.
You close your eyes and feel warm rays of sunlight wash over you.
Your mind wanders off as you stare at the water below.

You hear a small splash and look around. You see a something in the water approach you from under water which makes you lift yourself up slightly. As it gets closer your hand is enveloped in a black aura.

Suddenly you hear voices and hide yourself but keep your nose and head exposed.

There you see team RWBY in their bathing suits. Weiss was in a white one piece suit, Yang was in a yellow two piece suit, Ruby was in a red one piece and Blake was in a Black two piece except she had a towel wrapped around her waist.

Ruby: You sure you're okay Yang? it's only your second day out of the infirmary.

Yang looks at her little half sister and ruffles her hair.

Yang: I'm fine Rubes. Don't worry about me.

Blake let's her towel drop showing off the rest of her body.

(Y/n): blu blub! (God damn!)

Her ears twitch which cause you to lower your head deeper into the water.

Blake turns towards the water and narrows her eyes.

Blake: Show yourself!

Blake's shouting causes the other girls to look at the pool.

You look at them for a few seconds before groaning.

(Y/n): Blub (Fuck)

You put your hands up and bring your head up.

Yang: (Y/n)?!

You chuckle and shrug.

(Y/n): Sup girls.

You swim to them and lean on the edge.

Weiss looks at you in disgust before quickly grabbing her towel and covering herself.

Weiss: We're you waiting for some girls to spy on like us you perv?!

You look at her and rest your head in your palm.

(Y/n): Aww. I missed you too Ice queen.

She rolls her eyes as you just smirk and raise your eyebrows at her.

Yang sits beside you with her feet dangling in the water while Ruby goes swimming and Weiss and Blake sit on the bench. Blake reads a book while Weiss watches you carefully.

Yang: When did you get back?

You look at her then to the side.

(Y/n): About...an hour ago. Why?

Yang looks away embarrassed as she scratches the back of her neck.

Yang: Sorry. It's just I haven't seen you in like a week now. Even though I've been in the infirmary for half the week...sorry if that sounds weird but um. I missed you.

You smile lightly.

(Y/n): Missed you too.

You splash water at her.

(Y/n): Blonde.

She looks at you with a smile and kicks water at you which you barely dodge.

Ruby: Sister assist!

Ruby yells and splashes water at the back of your head.

(Y/n): Hey! No fair.

You turn to face her but she's already at the other side of the pool.

(Y/n): Coward!

You hear footsteps and look at the entrance to see Ike and Bianca.

Ike: (Y/n). We should get some sleep. Never know what tommorow could bring.

(Y/n): Mmm..a cozy bed does sound nice compared to sleeping on just a blanket and a pillow in the woods.

You go to the pool's ladder and climb out. From the girls point of view you were in slow motion with the pool's water glistening off of you in an almost beautiful manner making them blush and avert their eyes.
You grab your towel and start drying yourself off as you walk towards Ike and Bianca. You wrap the towel around your waist and look at Ike who's staring at you.

(Y/n): What?

Ike: I think you made the pool's water level rise a centimetre higher.

You give him a 'really' look and he chuckles.

You look at Weiss.

(Y/n): I'm going now princess. You can enjoy the water now.

Weiss scoffs at you.

Weiss: I didn't need your permission. I could've gone in regardless if you were still swimming.

You smirk.

(Y/n): Sure.

You wave at them and they all wave back except for Weiss.

Ike and Bianca follow you.

Ike: That Weiss chick really hates you.

(Y/n): Meh. She'll come around.

You say with confidence as you head to your room to turn in for the day.
