"Thank you, alpha. I really like it." Taehyung whispers, trying to prevent himself from smiling.

"I'm glad to hear that, pup." The alpha grins.

About to walk towards the living room to respond to his best friend, he stops in his tracks, turning around once more.

"The flowers.. they're really pretty, too. Thank you." Taehyung now smiles, dashing away right after.

<Jiminie! I missed you so much! I was worried something happened to you, but then I heard you were having your heat and I understood. I'm so glad to hear your voice again.

He quickly responds, making himself comfortable on the couch but still somewhat on edge since he doesn't want the alpha to walk in on him whilst he's mind linking his best friend.

Maybe the dominant hadn't thought about the mind links yet, but he certainly doesn't want to know what he'd do once he does realise.

>Where are you, Tae?! Did the pure blood take you with him?!

<He did, it's been four days already. I have no idea where I am, I'm in this cabin in the middle of nowhere, I've never stepped foot into these woods before. I have genuinely no idea how far I am from the pack.

He could hear the other omega gasp in horror.

<The third time I had to join the event, Hoseok came after me. But the pure blood prevented him from touching me, I think Hoseok's dead, Jimin. I think he killed him. I don't know, I tried to run away when they fought. You know how my parents are. Once I tried to tell them, they blocked the mind links, telling me 'I should spend time with my mate.'

<He came after me, dragging me back into the woods. Everything went black after, he knocked me out cold. When I woke up, it was in the middle of the night. I fell asleep again, only to be woken up at the sound of the alpha entering the room. Anyways, what matters now, is me escaping. Within three more days, I'll be a rogue, Jimin. He heard Jimin curse.

Taehyung suddenly froze at that. He wanted to respond, but he started to feel.. guilty?

No. The alpha hasn't hurt him in any other way. In fact, he's been treating him in a way others could only dream of. He looks down at his gift, hugging it closer to himself. A sudden lump in his throat makes him even more conflicted.

<No, he hasn't. He's.. not that bad, actually. It's wierd. Really, really odd. There must be a catch, I'm almost unable to believe his behaviour.

>Whoa, hold up. Did I just really hear my dearest best friend say a dominant isn't that bad? A pure blood at that?! What the fuck did he do to make you say that? I'm baffled over here.

Taehyung quietly giggles, flashbacks replaying in his head.

<To sum it up.. He praises me constantly, he let me hunt with him, he let me scent him back, he gave me the permission to look him in his eyes whenever I want to, he's unbelievably understanding and forgiving, he fixed my mess and treated my wounds, and now he's gifting me things. When I woke up, there was a giant bouquet of flowers and a few minutes ago he gave me this fur coat to keep me warm. There's a lot more, I can't explain it all. It's─ I don't know. He's different. Very different.

It was silent for a little while. He fears his best friend had fainted. Yeah, he never expected to say such things, either, ever.

>Now I'm certain I have to come and rescue you. Where the fuck is Taehyung, what has he done to my best friend? It feels like I'm talking to a stranger.

The blonde laughs, but something just feels off. It frustrates him beyond belief, since he can't tell what it is.

<Can you try to locate where I am? Maybe Yoongi could help? I'm in a cabin. Perhaps you could go over to the Hunting ground and try to find an old scent of mine? It's your only lead. All the windows are sealed shut over here, including the doors. I can't escape. Trust me, I've tried. The alpha doesn't leave my side either, he's glued to me.

>I'll see what I can do, Tae. I'll let you know as soon as I find something.

<Alright, Jiminie. I love you.

>Of course, silly! If the situation were to be reversed, you would've done the exact same thing. We're inseparable, remember? I love you too, hold on in there. Help is on the way.

With that, the mind link went silent. The omega sighs, leaning back on the couch.

His chest hurt. He raised his hand, rubbing it over his heart-area. 

The alpha suddenly stepped into the room, walking over towards him.

"Taehyung, would you like to go on a run with me?"

He nods quickly, definitely wanting to stretch his legs or all four of them. Jeongguk grins, nudging his head towards the door.

Once they were outside, the alpha already began taking his shirt off, exposing his well-sculpted body. His defined abs were on full display.

Taehyung gulps, seeing his hands now undo his belt. When he saw the male was about to push his pants down, he looks up quickly, burning up feverishly when he saw the alpha stare at him intensely with a cocky, big smirk.

He dashes over towards the same bush as last time, shifting into his petite blonde wolf.

Trotting back towards the black wolf, he definitely didn't expect to hear him in his mind.

>Are you ready? I want to show you something I'm sure you'll love.

When did the alpha manage to create a mind link between them? That could only be done during one of their most intimate moments such as scenting, but only if his wolf fully allowed the elder in.

His eyes widen dramatically at the sudden realisation.

His wolf has already accepted Jeongguk as his alpha.
