"I'm assuming you want to keep this between us?" The healer quirked a brow, making Jeongguk nod immediately.

"Yes. But don't make it sound like this is a hook-up, change the tone."

Jimin stifles on a laugh behind them, pulling on Yoongi's arm.

"Be glad I'm willing to keep this a secret, pure blood." Jeongguk sighs, but knew the other was right. He should be thankful, not many others would be willing to do the same.

Reaching the cabin, anxiety gnawed at Jimin's insides, fearing what state he'll find his best friend in.

The alpha unlocks the doors, rushing to Taehyung's side.

He sucks in a breath seeing his white face, rough and short inhales and blood on the sheets and his lips.

"Pup, I managed to find a healer. You'll be okay, I promise. I got you, alpha will take care of you, alright? I promised. You'll be okay.." He rambled, holding onto the omega's hand as he watched the wolf get to the other side of his mate, getting to work.

Jimin stood in the corner, tears escaping his eyes at the sight of his best friend. The words the pure blood spoke did reassure him a little, warming up his heart. It's clear he deeply cares for Taehyung.

"Okay, can someone get me a cup of water? I need to mix the antidote." The healer glanced up, the look screaming 'it's now or never, we don't have much time left.'

"Yeah, I'll go get it." Jeongguk sprinted, literally skipping all of the stairs with a giant jump. With a trembling hand he handed it over once he returned, watching as the wolf started to mix some herbs in it along with some other things from the bag.

"Taehyung, you need to drink this, darling. You'll feel much better, I promise, okay? C'mon, sit up." Jeongguk gently placed his hand behind the omega's neck, holding onto the cup and pressing it to his lips.

He went to pour a little, but it all spilled from the sides of his mouth, he wasn't actually swallowing it or even letting it slip past his lips in the first place.

"Pup, come on, love. Do this or me, hm? You're my good little omega, right? Come on now." He breathes, attempting again.

Taehyung weakly opens his eyes, opening his mouth.

"Yes, there we go! Good job, doll. Come on, just a few gulps is all it takes."

The alpha sighs out in relief when Taehyung finally drank it all, minutes later.

"What now?" He questions, tucking Taehyung back under the blankets and staring back at the healer.

"Now the only thing you can do is wait. The medicine should start working within twenty-four hours. If not.."

The silence said it all. Jeongguk nods, holding onto Taehyung's hand again and giving it a few kisses.

"You'll be okay, Taehyung. The medicine will work, alright? You can do this, you'll pull through."

Jimin stared at the pair fondly, but his anxiety was shooting through the roof.

"I'll take my leave now. This is all I can do, I'm sorry. It's not much but at least it's something."

With that, the healer exited the cabin, disappearing from view.

Yoongi tugs on Jimin's arm,
"Come on, Minnie. Let's go."

Jimin shakes his head, "No, I want to stay. What if he d─dies, Yoongi?"

Jeongguk makes a mental note regarding his name, standing up to grab a wet cloth, clean clothes and clean sheets.

"There's nothing we can do right now, Jimin. Time will tell. And I'm sure once Taehyung gets better, you can come visit him." Yoongi shot a look at the alpha, almost daring him to differ.

"Yes, of course you can. Anytime, really. But Yoongi is right, there's not much you can do right now. I'll take care of him, alright? I promise."

Jimin stares at the alpha, but respectfully never meets his eye.

"I'm not worried about that, I'm sure you will. Taehyung was right about you, you're a good one. He's lucky." He admits honestly.

Jeongguk's eyes almost started to shine, face lighting up. Yoongi notices and bites back a laugh.

"He really said that about me?"

Jimin nods, giggling at the smitten tone.

"He did. He really likes you, you know? Maybe he's not the best at showing it, but just give him some time. He has his issues, but you really changed him and his mindset."

The alpha nods, grinning and his wolf blooming inside of him.

"Thank you, Jimin."

With that, the other two wolves take their leave and Jeongguk wastes no time in changing Taehyung's clothes after cleaning him up a bit with the washcloth. He changes the sheets and he takes a quick shower, getting in bed next to his omega afterwards.

He stares at his face, a frown on his. "Please be okay.." He whispers, not wanting to imagine the pain of losing him.

Now that he knows what it feels like to go through a mere separation for a few days, he doesn't even want to think about how bad it would be if he loses him.

He grabs Taehyung's hand, getting more comfortable and pulling the male towards himself, cuddling him to keep him warm. He nudges the crook of his neck softly, nosing his scent gland and pressing a few kisses to his temple.

His wolf whimpers within him, scared to death. It tries to reach Taehyung's, but it got no response.

Jeongguk gently rests his chin on top of the omega's head, staring through the window at the trees that swish side to side, rain starting to patter down on the glass.

He kisses Taehyung's hair from time to time, never leaving his side. The alpha is determined to stick to him, holding him, praying that he's going to be okay.

He laid there in the same position for hours, watching as the sun set and it slowly began getting darker and darker, until stars adored the night sky.

"I love you, little one. And trust me when I say I want nothing more than to make those two wolves who did this to you pay, but I can't. I'm sorry I lied to you, darling. I hope you'll be able to find it in your heart to forgive me someday."
