Today is the day.

It's the eighth day, meaning Taehyung is officially banned from his pack. He's a rogue now.

Along with that, it's the second week. And Jeongguk's wolf knows all too well what that means.

But in the end, that won't even matter if he doesn't wake up.

The alpha only leaves his side for the bare necessities. He has to stay strong for his omega, when he wakes up, he wants to be there for him in every way he possibly can.

He barely gives himself time to eat, already going back upstairs.

It was only when he heard knocks on the door, when he furrowed his brows and got up.

His insides twisted with a gut feeling, and he was proven right once he opened up and stared right at two familiar faces he dreads to see.

He growls loudly, grabbing both of them by their necks and crashing them into the wall, red piercing eyes hunting their souls down.

"You should beg me to let you live." He threatens, snarling. He has never been this pissed ever before.

"Awh, did he die? Must've been special to you, then. Now you know how it feels to lose someone precious to you." Seokjin retorted with a glare.

Jeongguk only choked him harder, the veins in his face becoming prominent.

"You didn't lose her. She's alive and you know it."

Namjoon scoffed, "Exactly. She's alive and even after all these years, you still didn't live up to the deal. We gave you so much time, Jeongguk. It's a shame you completely broke the deal once you brought that omega home."

The alpha glared back at the one who spoke up, pressing them against the wall once more before releasing them.

"Good. At least you haven't forgotten the fact that you can not kill us. Remind us why, Jeonggukkie~" Seokjin taunts, belittling him.

The alpha growls, stepping closer but it didn't phase him, not even after getting nearly choked to death.

"Watch your tone, beta. Take that alpha of yours off my territory and disappear out of my sight. Rather, out of my life if you will."

Namjoon laughs, deciding to answer Seokjin's question for Jeongguk instead, not quite done yet.

"You can't kill us because our pack will be right at your door. And by bringing that omega home you broke the deal, because we clearly remember you needing to kill every single one of them you encounter from that pack. Figured out how many wolves are in it already? Finally made up a plan after all these years? We'd love to be informed."

Jeongguk averts his gaze, his teeth clenched harshly.

"Of fucking course you haven't. Tsk. Simply a worthless piece of shit with parents whom abandoned you at the age of twelve, they must've realised your worth and the trouble you'd cause them. Simply a murderer, no one's ever going to love you."

The alpha shot his red eyes back towards Namjoon, "Don't you dare talk about my parents. Mind your words, know your place."

He only grinned, taunting further.

"Oh, but little pure blood orphan must've been so afraid without mommy and daddy by his side. I'll tell you what.. They abandoned you to join our pack. Yes, you heard that right. They abandoned you and were even willing to join the same pack that would end up killing you. Obviously we didn't appreciate traitors, so they didn't make it through the day.."

Jeongguk's eyes turned back to brown, breath hitched in his throat.

His entire aura changed bitter and immensely sad, not going unnoticed.

Seokjin wrapped his arm around his shoulder, pulling him downwards and roughly messing up his hair. He pushed him back after, spitting in his direction.

"Your blood might be pure, but you're nothing more than an abandoned little fragile boy, hiding behind your title. You couldn't even protect your omega, what kind of alpha are you? No wonder you're all alone, you're an abomination. Must've been embarrassing to give birth to you. Not that it was planned anyway, mistake."

Seokjin grinned, turning around to walk away.

"Get her back, Jeongguk. One month. That's all you have left. If not, you know what happens. Finish what your parents started."

With that, they finally left him alone.

Jeongguk walks back inside, slamming the door shut and leaning on it after.

Don't let it get to you, don't let it get to you, don't let it─ fuck.

Tears trickled down his face. He wiped them away roughly, heading back upstairs.

He sinks back against the headboard, pulling Taehyung in his lap and staring down at his face.

'You couldn't even protect your omega, what kind of alpha are you?'

A tear fell on top of Taehyung's forehead. He bends down, kissing it away with trembling lips.

'No wonder you're all alone, you're an abomination.'

His hands tremble as he holds his omega's again.

'They abandoned you and were even willing to join the same pack that would end up killing you.'

He presses a kiss to the back of Taehyung's hand, closing his eyes.

'Must've been embarrassing to give birth to you.'

He sniffles, glancing into the opposite direction.

'Simply a murderer, no one's ever going to love you.'

His heart felt like it got squeezed inside his chest, air impossible to breathe.

'Finish what your parents started.'

He bites back a sob.

'Taehyung was right about you, you're a good one. He's lucky. He really likes you, you know?'

Jeongguk glances back at his omega, a small smile tugging up his lips.

"But you're not going to like me anymore after you find out the truth.." He whispers, terrified of getting abandoned and officially rejected by the love of his life.

He lays down, tucking Taehyung's head under his chin and pressing a few kisses on his blonde locks now that he still has the chance.

This was never supposed to happen.
He hoped his two tormentors would've never got to know about Taehyung, but of course luck wasn't on his side. When has it ever?

On the verge of breaking down, he suddenly stills in his spot once he felt his omega's fingers twitch in his hand.

"Pup?" He sits up with hope. With big, brown and innocent seeming orbs staring down at him.

However those eyes aren't that innocent.
