"Watch out, pup!"

Jeongguk immediately reaches over, preventing his omega from tripping over by holding onto his waist from behind.
Taehyung blushes, thanking him.

The male is still healing, however fortunately due to his wolf-genes he's recovering quick. It's been two days since, and he's already back out of bed─ something the alpha really opposed to, but he's aware the omega is a stubborn one. And who is he to say no to his irresistible puppy eyes?

Now he's not losing him out of his sight, not even considering leaving the same room. Literally sticking to the younger like glue.

Luckily for him, Taehyung only finds it adorable. The alpha is clingier than expected, but he secretly loves it.

He also knows that since it's still very early in the bonding process, the elder will be closer to him anyhow, bruised or not. In any case, he isn't complaining.

So far the alpha hasn't made any peculiar moves yet when it comes to tempting his omega to go into heat quicker. The boy isn't surprised; knowing the dominant is afraid of hurting him. As if he'll shatter to pieces like fragile porcelain by a mere touch of his calloused fingers.

That is, at least, for the first and second day. On the third, the omega started to notice a few small changes.

He isn't sure what the alpha is secretly doing; but the knowing smirk he tries to hide by glancing away 'innocently' and leaving Taehyung's wolf to drunkily sway within him, makes him wonder.

Just sipping on some water while staring outside, Taehyung's breath hitches when he felt the elder's presence behind him, his back now flush against the male's chest.

Jeongguk chuckles, resting his head in the crook of his neck and enclosing his arms around his waist.

"Relax, love. I don't bite,"

Taehyung exhales shakily, adrenaline boosting through him and his heart pumping wildly.

The alpha presses tender kisses on his neck, inching higher and higher until his breaths hit his ear.

"─not yet." He suddenly finishes his sentence, teasingly suckling on his soft earlobe and teeth ghosting over his scent gland.

The omega whimpers softly, a red tint crawling back on his cheeks. A shiver went up his spine and goosebumps appeared all over him.

The fourth day, Taehyung felt better than okay. He isn't sure what witchcraft Jeongguk performed on him, but his bruises have vanished and his burning insides now flamed up not because of pain, but desire.

So far the alpha has been getting every opportunity to touch him, pressing up against him and hushing him into an addicting lullaby. The man is more enticing than a siren.

His scent is constantly clouding his mind, his wolf within him not sobering up any time soon. For it could only keenily sigh out, top high to come back down to earth.

At this point, Taehyung finds himself waddling after the alpha everywhere he went─ completely switching it around which left the dominant grin in acknowledge.

It was when the omega peacefully lazed around in the alpha's room and he heard the door open─ the male walking in after a fresh shower, water droplets dripping down his glorious body and the towel that hung loosely around his hips absorbing them; he started restlessly stirring around whilst his eyes were solely trained on the other still.

Jeongguk had a knowing smirk dancing on his alluring lips as he faced the closet, grabbing a change of clothes and with a flick of his fingers the towel dropped to the ground.

When he heard the omega emit a purr-like sound and noticed his scent spiking up, he knew.

He had seen it coming, everything had gone according to plan perfectly. But, god, now that the actual time is there it's even better than he could've ever imagined.

When the evening came along and whilst the alpha was preparing dinner, Taehyung helplessly whined in Jeongguk's bed, trashing around.

His eyes fall on the closet and he doesn't waste another second. He practically sprints to it, clumsily pulling every single piece that smells like the alpha out of it and dragging it back to the bed, some shirts falling from the mountain he carried along the way.

Arranging them to try and keep himself at rest by nesting since he has no idea why he's suddenly feeling this way, he lays back down with a huff, nose stuffed in a shirt.

But as the minutes passed, he only began getting worse─ rolling from side to side and it was when he noticed his scent spiking up, he gulped in acknowledge.

He is having his pre-heat. Meaning he's still in full control of his body, his wolf yet to overpower him. But at this rate, that wouldn't take much longer.

"Darling, dinner is ready! You coming down?" He hears the alpha from the staircase.

He hums, attempts to stand up, but quickly lays back down when he felt something wet trickling down. Eyes big in embarrassment, he responds, blushing.

"E─err, I'm really sorry, alpha, but I'll eat later! I want to sleep for a little while, I'm tired, you see!"

Yes. Tired. That's exactly what he is.

It stays silent for a minute or so, when he suddenly hears footsteps nearing and a knock on the door.

He shrieks, definitely not wanting the alpha to come in because of his overwhelming shyness.

"Pup, are you alright?" Jeongguk croaks, trying to sound normal.

As if he hasn't smelled his pre-heat coming from miles away.

As if he was able to focus on making dinner.

He was gripping the doorknob tightly, knuckles white, trying to refrain himself. He knows very well that once he opens the door, he'll be met with the most intense, irresistible scent, ever. He could already smell it downstairs, but of course it got the chance to fog up the room.

"Hmh! 'M fine! You can go e─eat, ngh─"

The whimper is all it took for Jeongguk to open the door. The moment he stepped in his eyes kept flickering between red and brown, never has he fought his own wolf this badly.

He closes the door, sucking in a breath that left his heart racing. He doesn't want to drool, but his scent left his mouth watering profusely, he keeps gulping.

When his eyes fall upon flushed Taehyung hiding underneath his clothes in his nest, his alpha snarls.

Nearing the bed, he tilts his head to the side and stares at the omega who tried to make himself comfortable again.

His wolf within him claws at him, trying to push him forward. But he stubbornly stays put, not wanting to intrude Taehyung's special spot, no matter how much he wants to.

The omega huffs and puffs in utter annoyance, keeping on readjusting shirts, pillows, the blanket, himself─ turning and twisting, groaning out in the end because no matter what he tried, he couldn't get comfortable or lessen the feeling within him.

He glances back at the alpha, his omega cooeing inside of him at the sight of big, curious and hopeful eyes glancing at the nest.

He fiddles with his fingers, nibbling on his lip as he considers it.

He's highly aware of what it would mean if he'd let the other. And from the sight of it, the alpha knows that, too.

Once he allows him in, his heart does so, too. His entire being. His wolf, every inch of his body will accept the alpha as his own.

The animal within him almost rolls his eyes at him, grumbling out in even more annoyance.

As if he hasn't accepted him yet.

So with that, Taehyung shyly glances the other in his eyes─ reaching up to make grabby-hands.

Jeongguk's mouth opens in astonishment, eyes widening even more. Insecurely does he step forward, his hands softly holding onto the omega's.

His heart feels like it's about to burst.

Is the omega really going to let him?

Taehyung softly tugs the dominant towards himself, nodding to show that it is okay.

With that, the alpha gently scoots in, having to bite on his tongue to refrain his wolf from making embarrassing happy noises.

He wraps his arms around the omega, feeling like the happiest alpha on earth as he cuddles in his chest.

And Taehyung smiles─ of course he hadn't been able to get comfortable.

How could he ever have, when the most important piece had been missing?
