Inside the parlour the girls were entertaining themselves with the cat who was sleeping on the sofa cushion while Biffy held their son who was out like a light while his wife talked to Lord Akeldama about the children's birthday.

"Luna and Unmei please leave that poor cat alone" said their father, placing his son on the sofa and went over to the girls who were in the process of pulling the cats whiskers making it cry out in pain. This woke up Lyall who cried and almost fell of the sofa at the same time.

"See my Lord what we have to put up with, when those two finally get along, it's a tag team with them" smiled their mother to her husband and the vampire as she picked up her son. "Well I never thought that those two sweet muffins could be like that, I've always seen then at their best, this is quite surprising, I must say" said Lord Akeldama smiling.

"Now what is wrong with my little darling here" he said looking at Lyall clutching onto his mother, she looked down at him that said 'he's asking you' and so Lyall looked up to the vampire "I have a fever again Akel" said Lyall quietly.

"Now that's very unfortunate my daffodil" said Lord Akeldama looking into his eyes "and only a fortnight until new moon" and he sighed. "We noticed that as well, he's always ill before the new moon comes so we just don't know, is he like all new werewolves and are weak to it until they have adjusted" said Biffy bringing over the poor creature.

"Kitty!" said Lyall only to make himself dizzy but instead of falling he transformed into his wolf form which was a first; his mother was even holding him which surprised everyone when he finally howled.

"Well this is a first, I must say" looking questionably at Biffy remembering the last time a werewolf came into his parlour in full wolf skin, Biffy just blushed and looked at his son who was staggering across the floor towards his sisters.

"Lyall, pumpkin don't do that" said Lord Akeldama "you know what will happen" but Lyall didn't get that far as his sister's were on the other side of the room playing with some paper that they found and some dolls that they must have left here the last time they were over.

Instead he fell to the floor with a slight thump and curled up asleep, snoring slightly as he went. Right away everyone came over to check if he was ok and when they noticed the snoring they all sighed with relief.

"This is a first, he must be really ill if he's transformed himself into a werewolf after his own father left him and then you my darling ducky held him" said Lord Akeldama.

Both of the parents sighed to this but when they look at their son he was back to normal if not naked, Sumire picked him up right away and covered him in Biffy's jacket that he had put on the chair and held him close.

"My Lord I think I'll take back the children, and put Lyall to bed while my darling husband stays and talks to you about the birthday plans if that is alright with you?" asked Sumire getting up from the floor and looked at her daughters who were playing quite nicely.

"Every well pudding plum, that's fine with me are you sure you'll be alright and with all three children, I could always ask one of my droney-poos to help you with the task at hand" said the vampire to her as she went over to her daughters.

"My Lord, thank you so much for the offer, but I assure you I'll be fine. Luna, Unmei my dears, please come with me" said their mother firstly to the vampire and then to the two girls and right away they got up and followed their mother.

"My Lord, she has it well at hand I assure you, just wait until Luna finds Channing again" said Biffy following his family and the vampire to the door. "Channing!" said Luna happily to herself and then stopped and turned back to her dad.

"Papa? Coming?" was all she said and he knelt down to her and said "no my darling, papa has something to talk to Lord Akeldama here" said Biffy "Akel?" was her next question and he too said "it's alright my daffodil I need to talk to your papa, so I'll leave you to look after your mother and siblings ok?" and she just nodded and ran after her mother.

Both werewolf and vampire watched Sumire and the children and once she entered the house they finally went back inside. "Well on to the party plans" said the vampire quite happily, clapping his hands together.

Inside the parlour and throughout most of that evening they both talked about what the design and the colour scheme of the party was all about as well what entertainment would be there. It was hard to pick a colour scheme as each child wore a different colour to their siblings, Luna in aqua, Lyall in lilac and Unmei in pink.

Inside the town house Sumire put Lyall to bed and let the girls play games while she went about doing some BUR work as it had been almost hundred years since the crown needed a Preternatural at their court so she entertained herself with some left over paper work until it was dinner time and when her husband finally returned.

Capitan Bluebottle came into the parlour and said "oh my Lady, I thought it was his Lordship in here, is he around?" "Sadly no, he is still out, I returned as Lyall turned into a werewolf without being touched and plus those two are party planning" she said without looking up from the paper work.

"Oh too bad as there is a challenger here for him" said the Capitan to her and right away she looked up from the paper work and glared at him. "Why in the hell didn't you say something before hand, you stupid man" snarled Sumire towards the Capitan. "I just thought you would like to know" and he walked off.

"ELIJAH!!" and right away the butler was there, "yes my lady?" "go and get my husband from next door, the Capitan forgot to tell me until now after I've been here for a few hours that a challenger is here waiting for him" said Sumire sitting back down after her outburst. "Right away my Lady" and off he went next door to fetch is Lord.

"That stupid Bluebottle, when I get my hands on him" said Biffy coming through the door changing as he went, "Sandalio don't do that while going through the house, it's unsightly" said his wife but he ignored her and carried on to find the challenger.

When he found the challenger it was a skinny nobody only a few years into his wolf skin at that, Biffy had a good hundred plus years on this pup and so both of them stood in front of each other and introduced themselves.

"Lord Sandalio de Rabiffano, Alpha of the London pack" said Biffy and the challenger introduced himself as "Spencer Daniels" and both of them stripped off the cloak they were wearing and changed into their wolf skin.

Biffy a nice chocolate brown with a ox blood under belly, he was small for an Alpha but what he lacked there he made up in speed, while Spencer was a ginger very lanky wolf with missing fur patches and so both of them fought and in no time the winner was announced; the winner was Biffy and so the London pack kept their Alpha until the next challenger.

As the challenger walked off to lick his wounds Biffy was met by his wife and his three children. "Papa!" came the reply of all three children and he smiled towards them and slipped round them and then transformed back into his full human skin.

"Well I'm still Alpha of this pack and you can all see, I might be only slightly bigger than Professor Lyall but I can still win, I did have a very good teacher after all" said Biffy to his pack as well as his family.

"How could you do that?" ask the challenger once he had changed back, "you look no older than I am, I was transformed about twenty years ago, how did you become an Alpha, of the most respected pack in England?"

All the pack members just laughed at this and so they walked off back into the house with Biffy and his daughters following while Sumire stayed holding onto Lyall and just said "he's almost 200 years old, he was trained by Lord Conall Maccon as a replacement" and she too walked off having Lyall wave him good bye looking evilly at him.

"Congratulations, my love" said Sumire once she returned, "papa!" was all Lyall said as he wriggled out of his mother's arms feeling a lot better now. "How do you feel now?" asked his father but Lyall wasn't paying attention to him, he was looking to annoy someone and it just happened to be Capitan Bluebottle.

"RAAAR!" was his reply once he found the Capitan in the military room and right away ended up throwing the paper work he was working on; before the whole challenger thing came up; into the air and right away Lyall grabbed a hold of some things and ripped them apart and as he did this he made sure to bump into the Capitan turning him mortal while himself into a wolf cub.

"Get back here with that paper work!" shouted the Capitan but Lyall was out of the room before he could finish and he was downstairs in the parlour before anyone could say 'boo'.

His mother and father saw him and wondered what had happened only to look at Capitan Bluebottle standing in the door way, and then they notice what had happened, the Capitan was mortal and Lyall a wolf cub.
