Rouki and I lunged at each other. Rouki landing a punch first. My cheek swelled, but I kick him in the shin and he went down. He stood up and roundhouse kicked me. I jumped, barely missing my bare feet. I used the momentum of the jump to get on top of him. I punched his face until he threw me off. I was shooken off and he jumped on me. He was sitting on me and holding my arms down. The fighting paused when the main man called out an idea.

"If you lose, Rouki, you will be forced to join the other team. If the little fox loses, she will have to join ours. Sound like a deal?"

Everyone was about to protest when

"It sounds like a great deal, but let's up the punishment. The animal that loses will have ten hours added in your case, and ten hours taken away in our case." Tompa slyly said.

"WHAAAAAAT!!!!!!!!!!" Leo shouted at the top of his lungs at Tompa.

Tompa had a smirk on his face. He looked at me with pure hate then looked back at Leo.

"I had to. I'm the rooky crusher and its my job to stop newbes like you from passing. I also hate that 'cat' a lot, so I got rid of two problems at once. I'm a genius." He said as he leaned back onto the wall.

I had to tune out the rest of the conversation in order to focus on battling, but I'm pretty sure Leo's outraged. Kurapika is furious, but won't show it. I don't know how Gon or Killua's reacting, but I bet their angry, too. I used the distraction to kick him in the 'unsunny place' and he groaned in pain. He grabbed my hair and dragged me down to the floor, hitting my head. I grabbed his leg and yanked it out from under him, making him hit his head. I take a small look back to see Gon on the verge of tears for me. Killua seems like he's still, but I see his hands shaking behind his back. Kurapika is silently cheering me on. Leo is yelling at Tompa for getting me into this mess. I look back just in time to see a punch to my eye. It swelled and I couldn't see out of it. I ran behind him, but he expected that. What he didn't expect was for my fist to punch his eye, too. His eye started to swell, like mine, until it was black. I looked into his good eye and saw he didn't want to leave his group.

"Let's fight this fight like animals. No rules. Savage is ok. Good luck." Rouki said as he turned into his wolf form. He snarled at me as I turned into my fox form.

"Ruff."

He barked as he got in a fighting stance.

"Yip."

I barked back. Then the savage fight began. I got the first hit when I swiped my paw- an unsheathed and with deadly claws pointed outward-at his chest. It left a smeer of blood on his grey coat. I dodged his next attack, but it scraped my face, leaving a thin trail of blood. I jumped at him, in an attempt to bite his neck. He did the same thing and we bit each others necks, pools of blood showing on our coats. 'Not good.' I let go and he let's go, too. I lunge and he lunges, but this time, he grabs my leg and bites down hard enough to hear the bone cracking.

"Yiiiiiip!!!" I scream in pain.

"Kikumi!!"

I break free of him, but now I can't move. He has the uperhand. I use the last of my strenght to push off and bite down on his leg. Now, he can't move, either. We're at a stalemate, until I started wobbling. He wobbled too and the last thing I saw was Rouki falling on the floor, landing at the same time as me.

Leo's POV
I watch as Kikumi and Rouki fall at the same time. The buzzer announced

"It's a draw. The deal is canceled. Teams, you may pick up your animals."

Gon rushed over to Kikumi and Rouki. He carried Rouki to their team first because they couldn't break the chains. Gon said

"Take good care of your friend."

He walked back over here and picked up Kikumi.

Gon carried Kikumi over to me and I wrapped up her leg.

"I hope she's ok." Gon said, worried.

"She'll be fine. She's tough." Kurapika said to comfort Gon.

I looked at her rising and falling chest. 'She's going to make it, I just know it.' I thought.
