I'm dreaming. I know I am. But that doesn't make this any less painful. Sissies, where are you? I miss you. Mama, Papa. I miss you, too.

I opened my eyes to find that I was in Gon backpack again. I smiled and stretched my legs. I gave a small yip and the bag opened. I looked at a guy with silver hair and icy blue eyes that held years of pain in them. He had on a white jacket with the pin 99 on it. Gon had 405 on his.

"What's that?" He asked, annoyed.

'I like him. He's ok, but why is he so angry?'

*Killua's POV*
I'm talking with this kid named Gon when this yip sounded from his bag. He opened his bag with a huge smile on his face. He pulled out this light orange fox with a white mussel. It had pale green eyes and brown paws. It was interesting how Gon kept wild animals in his pack.

"What's that?" I asked in a more angry voice than I meant to.

"This is Kikumi. Say hi." Gon said

She gave a yip and stuck out her paw in a handshake. I took it and gave it a small shake.

"Kikiumi, this is Killua." He said to the fox.

*Back to Kikumi*
'Killua, huh. Nice name.' Suddenly this chubby man named Tompa came over and offered them a drink, ignoring me. I give a sharp bark at him and he looks startled.

"Aww. What a nice pet cat you have." He says, ignoring my barks at him.

Gon takes me and hands me over to Kurapika. Gon and Killua take a drink from him. Gon spits it out and Killua drinks it all.

"Tompa-sempi, your drink is over dated a little. It doesn't bother me because I lived in the mountains and I know all about their plants. Don't give this to anyone else, it could hurt them." Gon says.

"Tompa, did you know I'm immune to all poisons. You might want to watch out, if I was you. Plus, you seem to have angered the fox. Be careful." Killua said with a evil smile.

I hop out of Kurapika's arms and I go into Killua's. I do my fox-about-to-eat-her-prey look and he had sweat gleaming on his face. Tompa said, as he was runnung

"Well, now. I'm going to leave. Bye."

Then this bell rang and this person with out a mouth said

"Hello to you all. This is the hunter exam. Good luck. Let's go."

He turned around and began to jog. Killua hopped onto his skateboard. I jogged beside him, careful not to get my tail caught in the wheels. Then Leorio came over and yelled at Killua for riding his skateboard.

"This is a endurance test." Leorio said.

Killua popped off his skateboard and started running with Gon. 'I wonder how Kurapika's doing.' He comes over and listens in on the conversation. I hop in Gon's arms.

Gon, interrupting my thoughts, says, "Killua, how old are you?"

"I'm twelve. You?" Killua asked back.

"I'm twelve, too and Kikumi is ten when she is a human." Gon said, happily, not realizing what he said.

"Wait, WHAT!!!" Killua screamed in disbelief.

I got startled, and jumped on top of Kurapika's head.

"Woah, its okay. Don't be scared. I've got you." Leorio said as he picked me up off of Kurapika.

Killua and Gon came over and Killua asked, "Hey, Kikumi. Can I hold you?"

I hopped into his arms and looked up at him. 'His icy blue eyes are very pretty.' I thought.

Killua looked at me and said, "So she's a girl, huh? That would explain a few things."

I swished my tail at him. He laughed and sighed.

He whispered to me "Its been so long since I've touched something so soft. Thanks."

I hopped onto the floor and Gon and Killua threw me pieces of meat and berries. I caught every piece while running. I have the stamina and speed of a human, but the streanght and skills of a baby fox.

"How old are you, Kurapika and Leorio?" Gon asked.

"I'm 17." Kurapika says.

Killua looked at Leorio and asked "What about you, gramps?"

"Gramps! I'm only 2 years older than Kurapika." He says.

Everyone's jaws drop to the floor, except Kurapika, who's eyes widened a little in suprise.

"What!?!? Gramps is only 19?" Killua teases.

"It isn't that shocking." He replies, a little upset.

The pace increased down the tunnel. Then we got to the stairs. They were big steps for a small pup. I jumped the first steps and going two at a time, but I was still too slow on my jumps. Kurapika picked me up and smiled at me. I gave him a look that said thank you and I sat on his head. He was having a hard time breathing, I felt so bad riding on him. He ran up those steps and by the time the tunnel ended, he was only a little winded.

"Welcome to Numere wetlands. Where monsters will try to eat you. Follow me to the next exam cite..." Satoz starts, but was interrupted by a sudden yell.

"WAIT!!! THIS MAN IS A FAKE!!!!" Someone screamed.

I got scared and cower in Kurapika's hair.

"Shh. Its ok." Kurapika cooed.

'I didn't know he could be caring of others. Cool.' I thought. I hopped off of Kurapika and I walked on my own.
"Let's continue." I heard Satoz say in the distance.

And so, all of the applicants left the hill and headed towards the swamp.
