Whale X Island
Rukei had been banned from playing in the card games for being too overpowered; she had been memorizing the order of the cards and the details on the back of them, like the bends and tears and her fast hands annoyed them a bit too much.
So she opted to mess with the Rubik's cube while trying to subtly give hints to Gon who was currently losing the game against Killua. Unfortunately, Killua figured out what the two were doing due to Gon's obvious glances towards Rukei and they gave up on card games all together.
Left in the boredom of the lightly rocking ship room, they decided very quickly to run back out on deck and help out the sailors again.
Apparently Gon knew the captain and the majority of the sailors there, particularly a certain sailor named Katsuo. She had later been informed that Gon, along with Kurapika and Leorio, had saved the man's life. This was the ship Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio took to get to Dolle Harbor.
The girl smiled lightly to herself at the thought as she readjusted her grip on the crate of apples that she was moving out of the way. It was almost right after that when they met her. She was rather cold to them despite her contrasting offer of help, but she really just felt very awkward in trying to join a group. But they became companions, and before she knew it, they were friends.
"Killua! Rukei!" Gon yelled, waving his arm to get their attention. He was standing at the head of the ship, looking ahead for one moment before craning his head back around and yelling, "Come and see this!"
Rukei set down the box and jogged up the steps to stand beside him. The boy pointed at a land mass ahead; that was the island that he had told her so many stories about. "I could see where it got it's name."
"It really does look like a whale," Killua hummed, coming to stand next to them. She gave the boy a sidelong glance, before focusing her gaze ahead again. She had met Killua a little later then Gon and the others. They didn't get along very well at first, but it wasn't long till they too become friends.
Gon led them through the island, not that she had a lot of time to look at it, the boy was really in quite the hurry to see his aunt. He was greeted by many villagers along the way and was whole-heartedly congratulated by all the fishermen folk who heard of his success on becoming a Hunter. The boy was pretty popular among the villagers.
His house was a bit isolated from them though, on the edge of a cliff overlooking the sparkling waters. The boy dashed ahead of them upon seeing a figure at the top, laying out crisp, clean, white sheets across a clothing line.
Gon embraced the woman tightly, and she held his hands as he declared that he was home. Mito was a pretty lady with orange hair and golden-brown eyes; they were closely similar to Gon's. As Rukei was about to bow and greet the woman, she spoke up to Rukei and Killua, who trudged behind them shyly.
"You must be Killua and Rukei, right?"
-
"Sheesh, you should have let me known you were coming home. I didn't have time to prepare anything."
"It's not a big deal, whatever is fine."
"What are you saying?" The lady put her hands on her hips while staring down at the boy, "Your friends have come all the way out here to visit."
Killua quickly waved his hand as if to brush away the idea, "No, it's okay."
"Please, don't mind us."
But the two visitors were unheard as Mito sighed, sorting through some plates in the cupboard as she continued to chastise the boy in green, "Goodness, you should have said something first..."
Gon and Killua gave each other silly grins behind the woman's back but they both stiffened when she turned around with a dish in her hand.
"Are you listening to me?"
Judging by the expression on their faces when she turned back around, Rukei supposed that they weren't.
Mito turned back around for a moment having remembered something, "Oh, that's right. Take a bath while I make something to eat. And put out your dirty clothes. I'll be doing the laundry."
"Okay, later."
This got an immediate reaction from his aunt, "Now! You have ten seconds! One! Two!"
Rukei turned around as to stifle laughter when the boy began to panic, running around in a frenzy and dragging Killua along with him. Gon could face the Hunter Exam and Hisoka with such a valiant countenance but now in the presence of Mito-san, he was reduced to a normal boy.
Mito continued to shuffle about, and Rukei felt like she should do something. "Is there anything I can help with, Mito-san?"
The lady quickly refused, "No, you're our guest. Just have a seat, Rukei."
"But I should really do something," the girl reasoned, and as Mito was about to deny her again, Gon's great grandmother spoke up, saying that Mito should let a youthful, energetic girl help around for a bit. Mito sighed, relented, and ended up letting the brunette set up the table and help with other little things.
"You seem very accustomed to this," the lady commented as she glanced down at the young girl who was chopping up carrots at a rapid pace.
Rukei set aside the pieces after stealing a look at the lady and went back to her small jobs, taking them very seriously, "Glass and I do this a lot back at home," she mentioned.
"Glass?"
The brunette paused for a moment, as she took another ingredient and began to dice it, "He's my father. Not by blood," she added, "Glass and I have to take care of most of the housework. Crimson and Shichi-oneesan are essentially only good at their jobs."
Mito chuckled at her statement, "Sounds like you have your work cut out for you."
And before Rukei knew it, she was rambling to the lady, "Shichi-oneesan always scribbles her crime notes on everything; the table cloth, toilet paper, the blankets... Even the wall wasn't spared."
"Your sister sounds like quite the handful," the lady sighed loudly as she took the ingredients that Rukei had cut up, "Gon's the same. When he was younger, he would always try and sneak animals inside the house. Honestly, like I wouldn't find out!"
"You all say that, but you two love them very much, don't you?" The oldest woman spoke, hobbling into the kitchen to hand Rukei an old apron the grandmother had found.
Mito exhaled deeply while the brunette only nodded quietly, while speeding up her rapid chopping.
Gon wanted to show the rest of the island to Killua and herself, and so the boy announced to his aunt before dashing off. The aunt wanted to pack some food for them but Gon insisted they'd find something in the forest.
They did a variety of things; she met Kon who was a little intimidating at first but eventually came to like her with Gon's foxbear whispering skills. She had seen all kinds of odd animals that they brought into the lab but she had never seen this one. Killua tried out fishing, and he managed to catch something. He was being pretty smug about it, since Rukei failed, and she elbowed him when he was getting a little too annoying.
-
"Hey, Gon, Rukei."
She glanced over down to the white-haired boy, and Gon let out a "yeah?" to indicate that he was listening.
"What are you going to do now?"
She set her eyes back on the stars as she listened to the boy answer, "For now, I'll rest up here while I gather information I'll need before I go to Yorknew to look for my dad."
Killua seemed a little off, or maybe out of it, as he hummed after her answer. "I suppose I'm going to train to get stronger. If I do, I may be able to find 'what it means to be a Hunter'. Until then, I'll stay with you two."
"Oh... I see," the boy seemed like he finished talking, but he broke the silence again with another question, "What should I do?"
Gon sat up quickly at the boy's inquiry and Rukei followed his actions, "Huh? You should stay here and then go to Yorknew with us!"
The white-haired boy put the idea that he would be leaving them to rest as he glanced back at his surprised friends, "Oh yeah, of course, I'm coming with you. That wasn't what I meant."
"Then?" Rukei questioned, "What did you mean?"
Killua sighed before sitting up and crossing his legs, "I was thinking you're kinda admirable," he admitted, looking back up at the stars with a sort of faraway, isolated look about his eyes, "There's nothing I really want to do... I don't really have anything I want to like you guys do."
He glanced at them, and he huffed and smiled and turned his eyes down towards the sparkling waters.
"Though there are plenty things I don't want to do," Killua went on, "I don't want to stay in that house or inherit the family business. I guess I'm a little jealous."
Gon turned to face the boy fully, "Killua. I think it's fun to be with you."
Of course, this got a flustered reaction from him as he scooted away a little, "W-what was that about?"
"You know, Whale Island," Gon started, not directly answering his question yet, "is a place where fishermen stay during extended outings. There aren't too many native residents. There's only one kid here around my age, and she's a girl."
Rukei remembered Mito talking about that while they were in the kitchen, a young girl about the age of eight named Noko. His aunt said that Gon probably got lonely sometimes, so she was glad that he had met Killua and Rukei.
"So you guys are my first friends the same age."
Rukei pulled up her knees to her chest to rest her hands on them and smiled lightly, "We're essentially the same. I was probably one of the youngest Zakuya members... Well, it's not like I could contact many people outside my squadron anyways. To be truthful, the Alliance isn't that much different."
Killua stared at them in mild surprise before exhaling and looking away, "My situation was pretty similar... Stuck in that house all day. I spent all my time learning how to kill. You're my first friends."
"Do you have fun when we're together?" Gon asked. Killua blushed and scratched the back of his neck bashfully mumbling a 'yeah, I guess'.
"Then let's all stick together!" Gon declared excitedly, "We can travel around and see the world together!"
"Seriously, don't you ever feel embarrassed saying that stuff?"
Gon laughed, of course, he was okay with it. Even if it made his friends flush and want to turn away, his random, nonsensical, embarrassing words always got to them.
"I'll be looking for my dad. Rukei will be looking for strength. And Killua will be looking for what you'll want to do!" Gon grinned, "It'll be a blast!"
The white-haired boy sighed again, a somewhat satisfied smile spreading across his face, "Yeah. Doesn't sound to bad. Okay!" The boy piped up with a new energy, "I'll help you look for your dad until I discover what I want to do!" But he stopped suddenly upon a realization of something, turning back to the forest boy, "Oh, what's your mom doing?"
Rukei blinked when she realized that she didn't know. Gon never talked about his mom. He talked about Mito and his father but he never said anything about his mom.
"It's hard asking about my dad, but asking about my mom is even harder," the boy told them, "Since Mito-san raised me by herself, it would feel wrong to ask her about that..."
"Is that how it works?"
She could see where Gon was coming from; it was a little bit like that with Glass and Crimson. She didn't speak about her biological parents to them often. She couldn't remember an incident where she had actually.
"At first, Mito-san told me my parents died in a traffic accident. She was worried I might end up like my dad if I learned if he was alive and a Hunter."
"And she was right."
"She's a smart woman."
Gon continued, a small, almost uneasy, smile on his face, "When I found out about my dad, I kind of figured that my mom was probably dead." It was harsh, but it made sense and was probably true. But the boy didn't seem that effected as his smile brightened, "So I've always thought of Mito-san as my mom. She's the only mom I have. So that's why I don't ask. I don't need to."
"I see," Killua hummed before leaning back and drawling, "Man, I wish I had a mom like Mito-san..."
The spiky-haired boy turned to him at the exclamation, proudly declaring that Mito was the best, though she did nag a lot. Killua scoffed that it was nothing; his mom would start crying the moment he said he wanted to go outside.
Rukei called Crimson that night; the brunette had the sudden urge to talk to the redhead who was overjoyed even though Rukei called just to talk for a little bit. Perhaps she just needed the maternal figure, but it was comforting and relieving somehow.
"Stay warm, Rukei-chan!"
"Crimson, it's still summer."
There would be an awkward pause, before the lady tried again like her mistake never happened, "Stay hydrated, Rukei-chan!"
-
"Oh? I see. So this is the box," Killua hummed after Gon's explanation, tossing it around in his hands, "How do you open it?"
Gon was just as clueless, "Yeah, I tried a bunch of different methods, but it wouldn't open. I thought maybe that Rukei might know."
The brunette stared at him a little confused as to why he singled her out but realized after a moment. "Gon, I assure you, that's not a type of Rubik's cube."
Killua held up the box in the air before smiling confidently, "Mind if I use a little force?"
Gon didn't have a problem with it but Killua couldn't open it; it obviously wasn't any old trinket. The boy could normally twist open a steel box. They couldn't really break it either, if it was something fragile inside, they'd be in trouble.
"Your dad said to give this to you when you became a Hunter, right?" Killua questioned, tossing up the box into the air a couple times as he mulled over the question before grinning suddenly, "Wait, there's one thing we haven't tried yet! Something that you have as a Hunter that you didn't have before."
Rukei got what Killua was getting at while Gon grinned widely and declared that it must be his Hunter license. She did not facepalm as much as she wanted to and the white-haired boy corrected him; he meant Nen.
Sure enough, after Gon used Ten, a brilliant blue light spread across the box before it crumbled into thin plates of metal, revealing another box inside. Rukei bent down to pick up one of the strips and flipped it over, a familiar inscription drawn all across it. It was the exact same pattern that was on the promise thread that Wing gave Gon.
The second box was opened by the license card, revealing a cassette tape, ring, and memory card. It was an odd combination of things, but they started off with the tape. Killua wanted to copy it, 'just in case', before they began listening. It was silent for a while, and for a moment, she wondered if anything was actually going to play when a man's voice spoke randomly. This was Gon's father.
"Yo, Gon. So you became a Hunter, too. Anyways, I have a question for you."
Rukei glanced to the boy; his eyes seemed to glow. Was this the first time he had heard his father's voice?
"Do you want to see me?"
Of course he did. So when Ging gave him the choice to turn it off or continue to have the tape running, they did nothing but listen. The next question was wether or not he was prepared for that. Hunters were selfish creatures, they would sacrifice anything to get what they were hunting for. He gave them a minute to rethink.
But no rethinking was done as they waited in silence for the minute to pass.
"So I guess you really do want to see me," Ging sighed, "But I don't want to see you. I don't know how I could face you now. After all, I chose my own desires over my parental duty. I'm a bad person. I'm guessing by the time you hear this tape at least ten years would have passed. But one thing hasn't changed. I'm still me."
Rukei was annoyed by the fact that Ging didn't want to see his son that was working so earnestly to find him but she was also annoyed of the familiar feeling about Ging's voice. It was like Jen's; nomadic but at the same time it wasn't. One that wandered but at the same time, knew exactly where it stood. He belonged wherever he wanted to belong.
"As you listen to this tape, I'm off doing stupid things. If you want to see me, find me. But as I said, I don't want to see you. If I sense you nearby, I'll make myself scarce. Catch me if you can. You are a Hunter, aren't you?"
Killua huffed, turning to Gon, "Your dad isn't going to be easy to track," the boy stated while reaching over to turn off the player but was stopped by Gon.
He smiled and turned his eyes back on the tape, "Ging's still there."
Sure enough, it still whirred and ran in circles. "Oh, I forgot to mention something. It's about your mother. If you want to know more, keep listening. If you're not interested-"
To her surprise, Gon immediately shut off the recording, "Are you sure?" Killua questioned.
"The information may assist you in finding your father," Rukei added but Gon shook his head.
"I doubt it. That's what my gut tells me. Besides, I already told you," the boy smiled widely, "My mom is Mito-san!"
Finished with the tape, Gon was about to get a snack when she felt a rise in aura next to her, not Gon or Killua's. She quickly looked down at the player, it was moving on it's own!
"It's Nen!" Killua concluded quickly, "Nen is rewinding the cassette!"
"Nen?" Gon repeated as he whipped his head towards the window, "Is he nearby?"
Rukei shot down the idea, "It's more likely that he infused the player with Nen when he first recorded the tape. If stopped, it would rewind."
"Why?"
Killua shrugged, "Beats me."
When it finished rewinding all the way back to the beginning, a different button was pushed down. "Now, it's recording!" Killua exclaimed, "I get it, he's erasing his message!"
Gon tried to stop it but it was like the stop button had become stone, it wouldn't push down. His next option was pulling the plug out but it still wouldn't stop!
"Sorry, Gon," the white-haired picked up the cassette and threw it into the air, "I'll have to break it!"
But even after Killua's punch, the box remained undamaged as it fell to ground with a clunk. Both boys continued to kick at it fiercely but to no avail.
"Only one thing can protect you from someone who uses Nen. You must also learn to use Nen."
Rukei stepped forward, telling the two boys to move aside. The only effective way of countering this would be...
Unfortunately, her Ren chop and attacks didn't do anything, as the tape was completely used up in recording them beat up a cassette for a couple minutes.
"Figures," Killua sighed as he ejected the tape, "The copy's also wiped."
"But why would he go through all this trouble?"
"I'm guessing that he didn't want to leave any clues."
Rukei followed him up, "There's a lot you can figure out from a simple recording. Shichi-oneesan does it all the time."
Gon didn't quite follow, "What kind of stuff can you figure out?"
"You can determine speaker's height, weight, gender, age, facial features, and chronic diseases, and state of mind," Killua answered.
"From the background noise, you can determine the location of the speaker or the people the speaker may have been with."
The white-haired boy nodded, "But he was worried about something else."
Of course, it was highly possible for someone to have a Nen ability who could analyze data better than a machine; one that could know everything about a person just by hearing their voice.
Killua sighed placing the tape down, "Since the tape's useless now, we only have two clues left. The ring and the memory card... I doubt the ring would help but the memory card could be important."
"Yeah," the boy agreed, glancing into the box, "It's smaller than a normal memory card. Maybe you need a special machine to use it?"
Both Killua and Rukei looked up at the boy with surprise, "Huh? You can't tell?" Killua picked up the little chip, "This only works with a JS."
"JS?"
"JoyStation," the brunette said the full name, but that didn't seem to jog the boy's memory.
Killua sighed, clarifying further, "It's a gaming console, three generations old. You don't know anything, do you?"
"You should have at least heard of it before. It used to be ridiculously popular," Rukei commented while the boy stared at the chip with a newfound wonder, "Then again, you certainly don't seem like the gaming type."
"Neither do you," Killua mentioned, "I'm actually surprised. I kinda had the idea that you just solved puzzles all day."
Rukei gave him an annoyed look through her eyes before explaining, "During the first month when the Zakuya took me in, they only had me play war simulators from dawn till dusk."
The boy hummed and gave her an 'oh'. She supposed that they were trying to teach her through the video games; an attempt to gradually numb the five year old's mind to the death and blood that happened so often in the Zakuya.
Well, she was pretty surprised herself that Killua had played video games, seeing that his family had him spending most of his time learning how to kill. Then again, the boy did own a skateboard and could do a couple advanced tricks. She didn't see how that came into assassination.
"So this is a JoyStation," Gon mumbled, staring down at the rectangular machine.
Killua grinned, holding it up, "This brings back memories. I used to play with these all the time. They were a bunch of hidden gems for this console."
"Then this memory card is one of those hidden gems?" Gon questioned, "I don't see a title anywhere."
Rukei exhaled deeply, "Gon, you're talking about the disc."
"You've never played video games before, have you?" Killua plugged in the cord to the TV, "That's unusual."
"Really?"
The white-haired boy pointed at the chip, "That's not a game disc. It's holds the game's memory data."
Gon flipped it around, "So we can't use it too play..."
"Yeah, you're supposed to put the disc in here," Killua pressed one of the buttons, popping open one of the covers to show Gon. He shut it and took the card instead, "But if you insert the memory card and power it on without a game inside, you can see which games are using that memory."
There was only one game saved, but there was quite a few of the said saves. Greed Island.
Killua turned on the computer and searched for the game but there were zero matches to be found.
"Does that mean it's out of print?"
"There aren't any used copies... An out-of-print game should still have some used copies around. It's possible that this game isn't for sale."
Gon looked up at his friend curiously, "What do you mean?"
"It could be an indie game that was never on sale or banned for some reason," Killua turned back to the computer, "Anyways I'll keep searching. There we go! This game was sold through legitimate channels."
The spiky-haired boy read over Killua's shoulder, "Greed Island. A hunting game for Hunters."
Rukei glazed over the information quickly but looked back up at the price that she almost missed when Killua yelled.
"For Hunters- what is with that price tag?!"
"Five hundred, eight million?!"
"It's five billion, eight hundred million!"
Killua whipped back around to the computer, "But that's ridiculous!"
"Only a hundred copies were produced," Gon read off, "That's not very many, is it?"
"It's practically nothing! The developers were cocky, the number is way to low!" Killua growled, "But now it makes sense. The price is ridiculous but Hunters can afford it. That explains how they sold out."
Expectantly, the makers didn't have any in stock and there was no plans in making more copies. And when they tried to set up a reverse auction on the net, they had hit well over ten thousand people trying to sell them counterfeits. Killua had finally opted to talk to his brother.
She was having a difficult time trying to figure out his conversation, but she could tell it wasn't Illumi or Kalluto. Killua called his brother 'Piggy' so she was pretty sure they weren't on the best terms.
"I got two pieces of good information," Killua declared, "First, there's a site for Hunters, only accessible for Hunters."
Rukei remembered that, "It seems like the Alliance uses it often."
"Really?" Gon pulled out a familiar plastic card excitedly, "I'll have to use my Hunter License."
"You idiot!" Killua stopped him, pulling the boy back, "If you use your home computer, they'll know your address! You'll have bad guys who want your license showing up on your island!"
Gon stuck out his tongue apologetically as they explained that he would use public computers in net cafes or hotels for this kind of thing.
"The second lead is the Yorknew city auction," the boy nodded as Gon echoed his friend's words in surprise, "That's right. We're supposed to meet there with Kurapika and Leorio. In September, the world will host the world's greatest auction. My brother said it's probably a hoax but there's a rumor that someone will be distributing dozens of copies at the auction."
Rukei shrugged, "Even if it is a hoax, it's completely possible that there'll be a copy or two up to be auctioned off."
They were going to need a lot of money and information, but Gon was determined to get the game to find his father. She was looking forward to going to Yorknew anyhow, but they had nearly a month ahead of them.
She spent most of the mornings of this month training. She meditated in Ten, refined Zetsu, and practiced Ren but she was still stumped in one area.
Hatsu.
She was a Manipulator, but what was she supposed to manipulate?
Gunpowder? No, that wouldn't help her, seeing that she can't even use real guns anymore. But with her Hunter License maybe they would let her?
But how would she even manipulate that? Then perhaps plants. They were almost everywhere. At the same time... That didn't seem right. Birds? Animals? No, she wouldn't like that. People? But how-
"Rukei!"
The girl turned around, "Yes, Mito-san?"
The lady smiled at her graciously, holding a small woven basket in her arm, "Would you like to go see the town with me? I'm sure that Gon only brings you to the forested parts of Whale Island. The town's not much, but since you've been training all morning..."
The brunette masked her happiness with an answer in her usual monotonous voice.
It really wasn't much as the lady had said, but it was pleasant. Her home wasn't like this at all, it was noisy and busy all the time. Crimson's apartment was relatively close to the heart of the city and closer to work.
Crimson had let Glass, Shichi, and Rukei crash at the lady's apartment after the fall of the Zakuya and they had nowhere to go. They had never moved out even after stabilizing themselves; Crimson was too much of a mess to leave by herself and though Glass and Shichi wouldn't admit it, they liked the redhead too much to go.
Rukei had pulled herself out of her thoughts as she heard a loud 'no, that's not right!' from further down the dock.
Mito looked up from the apple she was inspecting and planning to buy before giving the brunette an embarrassed smile, "Don't mind him. He's an artist who moved here recently. One of the few residents that aren't fishermen."
The man seemed to be quite distressed over the canvas and paint in front of him though, as he ruffled his already very disheveled hair further. Rukei was curious. What was he painting?
"You can go see if you want," Mito assured, reading her mind, or in other words, her eyes, "I'll be here a while, so don't mind me!"
And off the brunette went, quietly looking over the man's shoulder and dodging his arm that he suddenly flung back with in a fit of rage.
The painting was that of the ocean, sky, and incoming ship. It looked pretty well done in her opinion, the colors looked nice and it was proportionate.
"Why can I not paint what I see in my mind?!"
Rukei tried to cheer him up a little, "It's a nice painting," she complimented which only got him spinning around and denying vehemently, not surprised at all that she was there. When he repeated his words, she asked him, "Then, what do you see in your mind?"
He waved his brush about dramatically, "A joyful ocean, a happy sky, and a lively ship!"
The brunette blinked in confusion before looking back onto the canvas, "But those things are there."
"No!" He roared, "There is only an ocean, a sky, and a ship!"
Oh. Rukei understood. She remembered saying something similar when she was younger, much, much younger when she had dreams.
She had tried to paint Mom. Mom said her painting was good but the younger Rukei didn't think so. What was wrong with her painting again? Rukei remembered that her younger self disliked one thing in particular... The eyes, most likely.
Rukei unconsciously let the smile surface from the nostalgia. That's right. Before she was a part of the Zakuya, when she had dreams, she liked to paint. She didn't know why. Her mother didn't paint and neither did her father. When she was younger, she liked colors a lot. Perhaps that's why she was so attracted to the Rubik's cube when she was in those dull, colorless rooms of the Zakuya. She-
Paint!
She glanced towards the paint guns strapped around her legs; of course! Why didn't she think of it?
She gave the man a farewell that he didn't hear over his mulling and contemplating as she ran to Mito-san and declared that she had to hurry back. Rukei had Hatsu to train in.
-
"Wow!" Gon exclaimed as the three descended for dinner, "There's so much food! Is something special happening?"
"You won't be back for a while, right?" Mito reminded them, "Who knows when your next chance to eat will be? Fill up now."
Rukei smiled lightly as Gon grinned and nodded. Gon had said how Mito disapproved of Gon taking the exam, and Rukei couldn't blame the lady. She had lost her cousin and she didn't want to lose her nephew either. Even Shichi was reluctant to let her junior go. But that didn't put any scrapes on their bond as everyone sat down to eat.
There was a crowd of fishermen to give them their goodbyes along with Mito as they prepared to leave for Yorknew city. Even though it had gotten to the point where Rukei couldn't see her anymore, she knew that Mito would still be standing there, looking after the speck of a ship in a distance.
。。。
We're setting sail to Yorknew! The next arc is going to be packed with action and character appearances and Nen both canon and non-canon so I shall try very hard to make it easy enough to follow along!
Ah, right! The drawing in the media is a fanart for TheWaystone for her really great book you should check out and that I'm totally not subtly advertising for Rhythm of Fate! I'll probably do more fanart for different people too (the other like five people I know on here) because they're such nice and talented people with cool stories you should check out and I need a life.
*cries*
Anyways thanks for reading!
