"She's coming." Felix said, placing his phone down.
He had sent the girl a private message through bubble, just to confirm his suspicions.
She had instantly replied "I can't wait to see you either!", but of course she believed it was in the group chat.
Bang Chan nodded. "That's fine. When we perform, we'll lull her. It'll weaken her, don't worry. She'll be too weak to notice a thing."
"It just doesn't make sense. Why would one of us fall in love with one of us, especially being different genders? It's a fools move." Han said, taking a sip from the dark red drink in front of him, the tinge tinting his lips a bright red.
"Maybe it's a strategy, a way to play with us." Hyunjin explained, taking the wineglass from Han, and taking a sip himself, before glancing at himself in his phones reflection.
"Ah, all better." He smiled, noticing the wrinkles from his eyes instantly vanishing, his youth restored.
He passed the drink to Felix, him only passing it along.
"You know, we can get more than one cup to share, we're not exactly broke." Felix scoffed, crossing his arms as he leant against the wall, watching himself in the windows reflection.
His hair was tinged more silver than normal, but it was fine. No reason to drink from a shared pint if he looked just fine.
"Yes, well, even with the underground at our fingertips, it's hard to get it without being noticed by paparazzi. That would go down well." Bang Chan grumbled, taking a drink himself, before spluttering, and coughing it back up.
Han rushed over. "Hyung, you know your limits. You drank plenty yesterday, so no need to completely drown yourself in it."
"Yes, but I need to be strong. We need to take her down." Bang Chan coughed, the red liquid now coating his hands.
"No, Felix does." Han said, glancing back at his friend, and passing him the glass.
"You need every ounce of strength, Felix, for your voice to do us wonders. So drink up, and no snarky remarks this time."
The girl was buzzing with excitement as she waited in line, gently pushing past a few people so that she was at the front of the pit.
She couldn't stop her heart from thumping loudly, and from the tips of her fingers from tingling.
Every time she turned to speak to the others around her, the lights buzzed and dimmed, so eventually she stopped, merely watching up at the stage with excitement.
She knew there were to be a few groups before her beloved Stray Kids, but she didn't mind.
But surprisingly as the lights dimmed, a familiar voice drifted to her ears, as her stomach fluttered, she looked up.
Stray Kids were piling onto the stage, resuming their positions.
"Are you ready STAY?" Bang Chan yelled, smiling as he stood up centre, his eyes drifting over the crowd.
He spotted the girl immediately, from her almost glowing skin, and her eyes which were practically boring into Felix.
Felix noticed this too, and sent her a quick smile, before dropping it, as they performed.
The girl couldn't contain her excitement - he saw her! He really, really did!
But she couldn't help but feel heavy, instead of the usual airy feeling she had around her.
Maybe it was just being in their presence - in their ethereal, beautiful, presence.
But something was definitely off as Felix began his verse, she felt weak, her legs were trembling, and her eyelids were dropping.
She shook the feeling away, gripping at the balustrade.
"Are you alright Miss?" A security guard asked, breaking her from her reverie as she had been recently staring up at Stray Kids, she glanced down.
Instantly, she felt better, the spinning in her head vanishing.
She went to open her mouth, but the lights buzzed around her, so instead she nodded, smiling.
She looked back up again, and felt sick.
Why were they hurting her? She didn't understand. Usually she could watch them just fine, enjoy their shows just fine - no, this was her first performance she had seen live.
Felix's smile faltered as they finished the performance, sensing the connection snap.
Then the girl looked up into his eyes, this time he felt a pit in his stomach, and his mind spun.
He tried to stay standing, but his legs gave way, Bang Chan and Lee Know automatically shielding him, as the other members went and sat at the front of the stage, talking to the crowd to keep them distracted.
Hyunjin noticed just how much the girl was trying to focus on Felix, as he shuffled over in front of her.
"Hey, he's going to be just fine." Hyunjin said, as the girl looked down at her feet.
"Right, okay." She whispered. Hyunjin saw the lights buzz slightly, but they didn't blow, and she noticed this too.
She looked up at Hyunjin, despair written all over her face.
"I think it's my fault." She whispered, as Hyunjin shook his head.
"No, it's not."
"It is. I keep doing these things to people and I don't mean to." She started, as the lights began to flicker, other people in the crowd watching on warily.
"It'll be alright. Trust me." Hyunjin smiled, before kicking his legs back up onto the stage, and waving towards the crowd.
"Thank you for coming!"
Felix felt like his heart was in his throat, he was suffocating.
But then it stopped, followed by the lights, but he was fine as he coughed and spluttered.
"I don't think it's intentional." Hyunjin said, coming over to offer out a hand for Felix.
He took it, scoffing.
"Yeah, right. I felt like I was dying."
Bang Chan's expression dropped, instantly jumping in front to cover Felix.
"Felix, your hair." Bang Chan started, as Felix tilted his head.
"What about it?"
"It's gone grey. You're turning back."
Felix felt his heart drop, before he instantly rushed off the stage.
The others said goodbye, and as they came backstage, Felix was staring at himself.
"She's going to get us exposed. I've got to do something." Felix frowned.
"She's not in control, guys. She's new to this." Hyunjin said, leaning against the wall backstage, as Seungmin laughed.
"How can you be new when you're born as this?" Seungmin snorted, as Hyunjin shrugged, falling silent.
"Well, we'll organise something. We need to get rid of her, either way. Whether she's new or not, it doesn't matter. We can't talk to her, we can't look at her, until Felix has regained his strength. You're going to need fresh stuff, not the bagged crap." Bang Chan explained, as Felix just nodded, looking as his hair was now back to its usual blonde, as he sighed in relief.
"I'm going to need more than just my hair being young. Fuck, this is all so irritating."
She sat in silence on her bed, her room dark, as tears fell from her eyes.
What was wrong with her? She hurt Felix! Her bias! What if they know what she's done?
They'll hate her, and she couldn't live with that...
They were her comfort, but if they hated her, it meant nothing to her.
She didn't understand herself. What was going on with her? It didn't make any sense.
When did this start happening?
"One, two, no... three months ago, right? What happened before then, uh, there was, water.." she whispered, squinting her eyes as she thought to herself.
She felt herself choke, and as she coughed up, water came flowing from her lungs, images flashing in her mind.
There was a person... I was drowning... they saved me...
They looked like Felix in that moment. I know it wasn't, because he was in America.
But still, I wanted to believe it was.
But they kissed me... when I was drowning...
Why don't I remember anything before that?
What am I?
"Who am I?"
