A Mother's Persuasion.
Just to avoid confusion, also spoiler warning, Stolas was shot in unidentified's story, but not in mine. It'll be explained in flashbacks.

Goetia mansion/palace:
No one's POV:
To say that Jessie is really annoyed would be an understatement. He already went through with be taken to one person, and then the next when he was five years old. So yeah, he's not annoyed. He's pissed.
Currently, he's being carried bridal style by, Octavia, and he's rubbing the soreness around his throat.
As, Octavia, walked down the corridors of the mansion to wherever they were going, she decided to try, and make conversation with Jessie.
"So... how have you been since I last saw you?" She asked.
"I've been better." Jessie grumbled.
"Oh. That's nice." Octavia said.
She took note of the red marks forming around his throat from what her mother did.
"I'm sorry for what Mom did to you." Octavia said with a hint of sadness in her voice.
"It's not your fault. If anything, I'd like to hear that from the screeching banshee in a ball gown." Jessie said, earning a chuckle from Octavia.
"She can be really loud when she's angry." Octavia chuckled.
"I can tell. Also, can you put me down?" Jessie asked.
"No." Octavia said simply.
"What? I can walk just fine! Im not five anymore!" Jessie complained.
"Well I hadn't held you since you were five. So I'm making up for lost time." Octavia said, making Jessie growl in annoyance.
"Why am I not surprised?" Jessie said sarcastically.
...
Stella's POV:
"How DARE he?!" I rant angrily out loud.
"How dare that human have the nerve to insult me?! ME! He should be grateful for be being in my presence!" I continue.
I'm currently in the study of the mansion. The mansion I used to live in. Instead it all belongs to that cheating prick!
I may not live here, but it still pisses me off to no end!
He's lucky I was able to get my own mansion to live in.
I try to not go on a loud screaming fit like I usually do, so I think back to when I first met Jessie when he was a child.
He used to be so small, so timid, so insignificant, so... comforting. Now that he's grown, he's not so small or timid anymore. Now he's grown a spine, and one hell of an attitude to go with it.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't happy that he's returned after all these years. At least I don't have to pay that imp a million dollars just to keep him. That at least puts a smile on my face. However, what doesn't put a smile on my face, is Jessie's new nonexistent submissiveness.
I still remember when I confronted him about him being a mere weak minuscule unworthy human in the presence of a goetia when he was still a child. I was so angry. He became so scared that he burst into tears, and began to actually apologize just for being here while sobbing like a baby.
After seeing his submission towards me, I could see why Octavia saw him as a little brother.
He was small, quiet, and obedient out of fear of upsetting us. I had such great plans for raising him with Octavia.
Now cut to the present, Jessie is clearly no longer the scared obedient child he used to be. Him talking back while I held him by the throat is proof enough.
But I do admit that a part of me is filled with regret for hurting him like that. I didn't want to hurt my own child. Just like how I didn't want to hurt my daughter.
Another thing bothering me is how he returned in the first place.
But that can wait. If I am to have Jessie as a son again, I need to find a way to... tame him.
Before I do any of that, I need to go speak with my daughter to see how we can handle him going forward. I'm obviously not going to discuss this with Stolas, since I hate him, and I doubt he'd be any help whatsoever.
...
No one's POV:
Back with Jessie, and Octavia, the duo are now currently in the owl princess's room.
The reason why Jessie is here with her is because she would like to keep an eye on him, and try to get to know him more... also he doesn't have a room of his own yet, so he's sleeping in her room until further notice.
Currently, Jessie is seen lying flat on his back with a bored, half lidded look on his face. Octavia is trying to get to know more about Jessie while sitting next to him.
"So how was your life growing up?" Octavia asked.
"Boring, and mundane." Jessie answered with a bored tone.
"Sounds like it sucks." Octavia said.
"Maybe, but it's still my life. Just me against the world." Jessie said.
When Jessie said that, it made her more curious about his life before he returned down here. She wanted to ask him something, but she's afraid it might be too personal for him. However, curiosity got the best of her, and decided to ask him anyway.
"Did you... have any family back in the human world?" Octavia asked a little hesitantly, knowing that this could be a sensitive topic for him.
"I had a douchebag criminal uncle when I was five years old. I can't remember who my parents were, and even if I did, they didn't come for me. As I grew up, I learned how much of a piece of shit he is. So I grew to hate him as I got older. I'm glad I don't have to deal with him anymore." Jessie explained.
"What happened to him?" Octavia asked.
"He got murdered when I was five years old. The ones who murdered him are the ones who got me into this mess in the first place." Jessie continued to explain.
"Who killed them?" Octavia asked.
"The imps known as the Immediate Murder Professionals. If I recall, your dad has the hots for the tall one, Blitzo." Jessie explained.
"Ugh. Don't remind me." Octavia scoffed.
"Anyways, the imp that decided to take me with them was Millie. The imp with black hair, a gap in her front teeth, a southern accent, and major bloodlust. Ever since then, she's been trying to get me to see her as my mom. Still not happening by the way. Also, their hellhound, Loona, basically sees me as a pet or something, because she wanted me to wear a spiked collar. I was even taken by the succubus popstar, Verosika Mayday." Jessie explained.
"Verosika Mayday?!" Octavia asks in a surprised tone.
"Yes, and it didn't stop there. I've taken by cherubs, I've been taken by farm imps, I've been taken by you and your mother, and I've been taken by a fucking cannibal! The rest is still fuzzy to me, unfortunately. Then afterwards I somehow returned to the human world, and the nightmares of what I've been through. Now I'm kidnapped by the same imps and hellhound again. Now Verosika and the succubi of her crew want me as their sex toy now that I'm older, and then there's your dad kidnapping me after I tried to runaway, so here I am." Jessie explained.
"I... I had no idea you've been through so much." Octavia said sympathetically.
"No shit, Sherlock." Jessie spat as he crossed his arms at the memories.
"Did you ever, you know... get adopted?" Octavia asked, a little worried that he has a new family back in the human world.
"No. I'm still an orphan." Jessie answered, but his tone sounded a little bummed out by the thought of it.
Hearing that he still doesn't have a family brought some joy to Octavia's heart. So she decided to ask him another personal question.
"Did you ever think about getting adopted by someone?" Octavia asked.
"Honestly, no. No I hadn't. My personality became too bitter for people to adopt me. They don't know me, or the trauma I went through, and frankly I don't care. If I can't have a normal family, then why bother trying." Jessie explained, his words taking a more depressed tone.
Octavia couldn't help but feel saddened by Jessie's words. All he wanted was to have a life to live, and people weren't giving him the benefit of the doubt. So she decided to ask him something that could help him... hopefully.
"Well, what would you say to the idea of someone who wants you to be part of the family?" Octavia asks him.
Automatically, Jessie becomes suspicious of the question.
"Uh... what are you getting at?" Jessie asked skeptically.
"What I'm trying to say is... would you like to make it official?" Octavia hesitated a little.
Jessie wasn't liking where this was going.
"Make what official?" Jessie asked, sitting up on the side of the bed.
"Making you officially part of the family." Octavia said.
Jessie's eyes widened a bit. This just confirmed his suspicions.
"What?" He questioned with no emotion. But the emotions were building up inside him.
Octavia held onto Jessie's shoulders in a comforting matter before speaking again.
"I want you to officially become family. With my dad as our dad, my mom as our mom, and me as your big sister! Think about it. You won't have to be alone anymore. You won't have to be rejected. You can finally have a family who loves you!" Octavia said with such hope in her voice that tears of joy glistened her eyes.
Jessie stared at Octavia with wide eyes in disbelief. Then one of his eyes twitched, and his stare became a frown.
"Are you kidding me?" He asked in an annoyed tone.
"W-what?" Octavia asked in disbelief.
"I said, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Did you not hear what I just said?! I've had nightmares about you monsters since I was five years old! Five years old, dammit! I had finally begun to put the past behind me, but nooooooo! I had to get kidnapped, and brought back to the one place filled with nothing but monsters!" Jessie yelled angrily.
Octavia couldn't believe what she was hearing. Jessie is rejecting the chance of being part of a family. She couldn't understand why. Sure he said he didn't like it down here, but why would he want to spend his life alone?
"B-but I don't understand. You said that you were all alone back in the human world! You said you had no one! You said you were rejected! You said you had no family! Why would you not want to be part of a family who wants you?!" Octavia questioned, not understanding Jessie's problem.
Tears of sadness threatened to drip from her eyes as she held onto his shoulders tightly.
"Let go of me!" Jessie demanded.
"Why can't you see that you don't have to be alone?! Why can't you see that I want you as my little brother again?! Why can't you see that I love you?!" Octavia questioned as tears spilled from her eyes.
"GET THE FUCK OFF ME!!!" Jessie demanded loudly, getting out of Octavia's grip, and standing in front of her.
"I'll tell you why! When I was five years old, I kept getting taken by people that wanted me for different reasons! People with their own motives! Whether it's for genuine reasons or selfish reasons, it didn't matter! The point is I had no control over what was happening to me! I didn't want to be with them, but I had no choice! Just like I had no choice but to live with my punk ass uncle! The majority of the people I was with, scared me to the point where I became constantly terrified of almost everyone around me! I don't care if it was eleven years ago, it still fucking happened!" Jessie ranted angrily.
Octavia became speechless as the tears continued to flow.
"So let me ask you something. Why on earth would I want to stay with the very monsters that have haunted my nightmares since I was five years old? Why would I want to be stuck down here, and have to constantly look over my shoulder to see if I'm in danger or not? Why the fuck would I want to stay with the very people that TRAUMATIZED ME?!" Jessie questioned with ever increasing anger.
Octavia still remained silent. Her heart beginning to break as what Jessie told her began to emotionally hurt her more.
"Another thing to boot, why would I want to be with you any of you in LITERAL HELL?!?!" Jessie yelled the last part so loud that it practically echoed in the room.
That's all it took for her heart to break, and the dam to burst. Octavia's tears increased as her beak trembled. She quickly stood up, and ran for her bedroom door, beginning to openly sob into her hands as she left.
Octavia slammed the door of her room, and the human teen could hear her crying on the other side of the door, which soon faded as she left.
Jessie would be lying if he said that seeing her cry like that didn't hurt him a little. He honestly felt bad about it as his face gained a regretful look on his face. Sadly it was short lived as he regained his angry scowl.
...
Octavia continued to sob as she speed walked down the hallway. She just couldn't believe that he said that to her!
Does he really hate it here? Does he really hate her?
The words he spoke are still fresh in her mind, and are still so hurtful to her. She continued to sob because of it.
It wasn't long until her father found her as a sobbing mess in the hallway.
"Via? What's wrong my sweet owlet? Why are you crying?" Stolas asked, full of concern as he held her in his embrace.
Octavia continued to sob into her father's chest as he rubbed her back in a comforting matter.
"There there, sweetheart. It's ok, it's ok. Just let it out." Stolas said.
"Jessie hates us." Octavia said in between sobs.
"What?" Stolas asked, not able to understand what she said clearly with her sobbing.
"Jessie hates us!" Octavia repeated more clearly before continuing to sob.
"What gave you that idea, my owlet?" Stolas asked with concern.
"I asked him if he wanted to officially be part of the family, but he yelled at me! He kept saying how much he hates being here, and hates being around the people that haunted his nightmares when he was five years old! He hates us, and he hates ME!" Octavia explained sadly, making her cry even more.
Stolas held her tighter as she cried more, and tried to console her the best he could at the moment.
Her crying was soon heard by her mother, who was already on her way to speak to Octavia, and came around the corner to see her sobbing in her ex-husband's arms.
"What's going on here?" Stella asked out of concern, not yelling at Stolas for once.
"It appears that Jessie has said some rather hurtful remarks to our little girl." Stolas growled as he glanced at Stella. He's clearly upset at the human boy for upsetting his baby girl like this.
"What?! That human is here for half an hour, and he upsets my baby?!" Stella shrieked in anger.
"Not now, Stella. Save your screaming for later, and come comfort our crying daughter." Stolas said firmly.
She didn't want to admit it, but he's right. She may hate Stolas, but she loves their daughter.
She came over, and hugged her along with Stolas. Thankfully, Octavia's sobbing began to die down. She's still crying, just not as hard as earlier.
Reluctantly, Stolas released his hug, and began to walk in the direction of Octavia's room.
"Where are you going?" Stella asked.
"I'm gonna have a little chat with our new son." Stolas said in a menacing tone, implying that he means business, and began to march his way towards Octavia's room.
Once he was out of sight, Stella continued to hold her daughter as she still cried.
"It's ok, sweetie. Mommy's here." Stella said, comforting her crying daughter.
"He remembers the bad things that happened to him when he was here in hell. But I never did anything bad to him. Why doesn't he want to live with us, Mom? Why does he hate us so much?" Octavia asked as she cried.
Stella pondered on this for a quick moment before she answered.
"From what I understand with what you just told me, he only remembers the bad, and not the good. I don't think he understands how lucky he is to even be here with goetias like us. We live a life of luxury, yet he prefers his pitiful life back home with his so called family." Stella said.
"He doesn't have family." Octavia said, still upset.
This surprised Stella.
"What?" She asked.
"He told me he doesn't have any family back in the human world. He's still an orphan." Octavia explained.
"He is?" Stella questioned.
"Yes. But when I asked him if he could be officially part of the family, he got mad, and yelled at me. I get he's still mad about what happened when he was five, but I don't get why he doesn't want to have a family that actually wants him!" Octavia explained, getting more upset again.
Stella was able to quickly calm her down before she got riled up again. She began to think about this new situation with Jessie. It's clear that he wants nothing to do with them, but maybe he just doesn't realize how good he could have it here.
"It's ok, Octavia. It's not your fault. I'll see if I can find a way to convince him to think otherwise. That is if your father hadn't killed him yet." Stella said.
"What?!" Octavia exclaimed in shock.
"Oh relax, dear. I hardly doubt that he would if he knew it will upset you more." Stella said, brushing it off like it's nothing.
"B-but what about Jessie?" Octavia asked.
"Don't worry, dear. I'm sure your father, and I can knock some sense into him. Afterwards, I can hopefully convince him to stay with us." Stella said.
Hearing that brought some joy to Octavia's heart.
"Thanks, mom." Octavia said, hugging her mother.
"Anything for you, my little girl." Stella said, returning the hug.
'Now to deal with Jessie.' Stella thought.
Stella, and Stolas may be divorced, but they can agree on one thing; don't upset their daughter.
...
Back with Jessie...
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! ANGRY BIRD! ANGRY BIIIIIIIIIIIIRD!!!" Jessie screamed in terror as he ran.
Why is he running?
Because an angry Stolas is chasing him while I'm full demon form!
Stolas roared as he chased after him. Angry at the human for making his daughter cry like that.
Jessie rounded a corner, almost falling over as he made the turn. Stolas quickly rounded the corner, but merely ran along the wall, and then the ceiling.
Jessie continued to run like his life depended on it, because it very well could be. However, Stolas was catching up to him on the ceiling.
When Jessie glanced back to see how close he is behind him, he doesn't see the angry owl demon behind him. He glanced up to see that he's above him!
Stolas roared as he lunged at Jessie in a cloud of feathers, and black and red shadows.
Jessie screamed in fear as he did.
[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]
"AAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!" Jessie screamed.
The cloud of the owl demon tackled the human teen to the ground, and the duo began to tumble along the floor in a dust cloud.
"Get the fuck off me you four eyed fuck!" Jessie yelled as he, and the owl cloud were wrestling each other.
That cloud then grabbed Jessie by his shirt, and slammed him against the wall. The cloud held him there as it reformed back into Stolas.
"You made my baby girl cry!" He exclaimed angrily in Jessie's face.
"Screw you, old man!" Jessie spat.
Stolas then got close to Jessie's face with the angriest scowl he could muster.
"Either you give my daughter a sincere apology, or there will be dire consequences." Stolas threatened.
"I don't care! I hate all of you! You hear me?!" Jessie yelled in anger, his green eyes glowing red, and red electricity began to dance around his arms and shoulders.
"I! HATE! YOU!!!" Jessie shouted with such anger, and red lightning suddenly shot out of his body like an EMP blast.
The blast was so strong, it forced him to let go of Jessie before was sent him flying into the wall, and electrocuted Stolas.
'You're welcome.' The voice in Jessie's head told him.
The sudden mysterious energy surge caused Jessie to feel instantly fatigued, and he struggled to keep standing as he stood back on his feet.
Stolas managed to get up on his hands, and knees. Still feeling winded from the sudden electrical attack. He couldn't believe that Jessie did... well... that!
"What was that?" Stolas asked out of shock as he rubbed his head.
"I'm not obligated to telling you anything!" Jessie spat, his spirit still full of fire despite his body's sudden fatigue from what felt like a great exertion.
"Well that was fun." Someone spoke up.
The duo turned their attention to Stella. Who apparently saw what Jessie just did.
"I think I'll take it from here, Stolas. You go comfort Octavia. She should be in her room." Stella said.
"What? Are you sure, Stella? He's one hell of a runner." Stolas said.
"Of course I'm sure. Besides, I don't think he's in any shape to run at the moment." Stella smirked, seeing that Jessie is still exhausted from the electrical shock he did.
Stolas seemed hesitant at first, but his daughter's well-being came first. So he got up, and left his ex-wife with the human teen.
Stella watched until Stolas was out of sight before turning her attention to Jessie. He merely looked back with a tired glare than his angry scowl.
"Just do whatever it is you're gonna do. I'm too tired for this shit." Jessie said, too exhausted to make a run for it.
"No." Stella said.
"What?" Jessie questioned, surprised from what he just heard.
"I said no. Now don't get me wrong, normally I'd either slaughter those who mess with my daughter, or turn them to stone to add to my collection for the same reason." Stella explained as she slowly approached him with grace.
"Then why not do either with me?" Jessie asked.
"For starters, I've grown attached to you since you were five years old. Secondly, I have a different idea in mind." Stella explained.
"And pray tell what would that be?" Jessie asked with a bit of sarcasm.
"Simple. Why exactly do you want to go back to the human realm?" Stella asked.
"Because it's the farthest I can get away from all of you, and it's my home." Jessie answered.
"Yet according to my daughter, you don't have anyone or anything to return to. So why are you so insistent on returning to nothing?" Stella asked.
"Because I don't want to be in Hell! Who in their right mind would want to be down here? The scum of the earth who die get sent down here! Plus, it's the home of the people who kidnapped me in the first place!" Jessie exclaimed in frustration.
"That's true. However, what's also true is that you're not wanted by anyone back in that orphanage you live in. At least here there's people who actually want you, and yes it's for different reasons, but there are those such as us that want you to be part of a family. Especially my daughter, and I." Stella reasoned.
"I'd be lying if I said you weren't making a good point. But I still stand by what I said." Jessie said, sticking to his opinion.
Stella knew that this older, and bolder Jessie was going to be a stubborn child. However, she had a feeling that she could get through to him with this gentle approach. But unlike Octavia, Stella intends to sweeten the deal with something much more... enticing.
"Well let me ask you something. I know my daughter has already brought up the idea of being officially part of the family, but why not see how it feels first before you reject the idea?" Stella asked.
"Do I have to repeat myself?" Jessie questioned, about ready to snap at her like Octavia.
"No, you don't. However-"
"Well then I don't see why-"
"Let me finish." Stella said with such a strict tone that Jessie became quiet.
"As I was saying, there's no need to make sudden decisions just yet. I just want you to get comfortable with the idea of being part of a family. Besides, Stolas is a prince, and my daughter and I are princesses. Think about it. If you decide to stay, you could become royalty. Living the life of luxury instead of living how you were. Who wouldn't want to pass up an opportunity like that?" Stella continued to reason, sweetening the deal with idea of him becoming royalty.
Jessie thought about this for a moment. He didn't want to admit it, but Stella has him cornered, and she makes an excellent point. It does sound enticing to him. His main objective is to get home, but he doesn't know how.
'Play along, and we can search for an answer.' The voice in his head suggested.
Jessie had to agree with that idea. Maybe if he plays along, he might get the answer he seeks. If not, he'll go from there.
Unfortunately for him, that means giving this whole 'part of a demon family' a try. So Stella wins this round.
Jessie took a deep breath before he spoke.
"Ffffffffffffffuck... fine. Fine! I'll try." Jessie said, giving in a little.
"Excellent! However, I expect you to be on your best behavior while you're here." Stella said with glee before returning to her more serious side.
"I make no promises." Jessie said.
"Well then, first order of business."
Stella then grabbed his chin and cheeks tightly with her hand, and forced him to look up at her.
"Apologize to my daughter." Stella demanded.
"Yes, ma'am." Jessie said.
"Good. Now move along." Stella said.
