Chapter 29 (For Real This Time)- Devil

My heart was beating in my chest and my breath had slowed. I didn't want to know what laid in the darkness beyond us. As the footsteps got closer and closer I could feel the anger radiating off Anti. I reached out and grabbed his hand trying to calm him.

A figure appeared from the darkness, a tall and slender man. His hair pitch black and his eyes matched his hair. His pale skin popped in the darkness almost blinding to a point. I heard Anti sigh and loosen up. He walked up to the man and shook his hand.

They both were muttering to each other before they both looked at me. I was in complete and utter shock, I had no clue who this man was and how Anti knew him so well. Anti motioned me forward and I slowly walked up to them.

The man tilted his head at me, I could tell he was looking me up and down even though his eyes looked empty. I got a little closer to Anti, who grabbed my hand in reassurance.

"Y/n, this is an old friend of mine. We call him Lucy." Anti said and he gave a big smile towards 'Lucy'.

"Anti for the last time if you don't stop calling me that I'm gonna rip your throat out," 'Lucy' barked at him but in a playful way before he looked at me, "My real name is Lucifer, but this low life likes to call me Lucy." He finishes his sentence and gave me a smile.

That's when my brain clicked and I remembered the name Lucifer, the Devil. I guess he read it on my face or something, you never know with demons. He gave me a smile and nodded almost agreeing with my thoughts.

The man who stood before me was the Devil so to say, I didn't believe him fully though because I don't think he was the devil as mortals saw. I looked at the ground for a quick second then looked back up.

"Alright time to go because I don't wanna stay here any longer than I have to." I said and turned back to the staircases. I noticed then that each one was a slightly different color. One a dark pink, a pitch black one and the middle was bright almost.

I walked towards the darkest one knowing what was down there now, the dungeons were at the bottom of these, the ones that held my friends. Without thinking I started to walk down the staircase, missing a trip wire across the floor. I heard Anti yelling for me but I didn't stop.

I march down the stairs dodging a pressure plate tile. I stopped and looked down the stairs and saw axes swinging back and forth. I looked back up at the stairs and saw Anti yelling at me to come back.

I shook my head and yelled "I have to go alone!..."
