Chapter 11- Advise

I read all night about the stairways. I needed to know all that I could about them.

I heard footsteps coming downstairs. I look up and see Anti waking down, yawning.

He sees me and smiles, "Your up early." he says and walks into the kitchen. I get up and follow him, the book still in my hand.

He started up the coffee machine and got 2 mugs out. I wanted to ask him about the book and if it were his.

He turned around and leaned on the counter, waiting for the coffee. He smiled at me.

"Anti, have you seen this book before?" I ask him showing him the book.

His face went dark and he grabbed the book out of my hands.

"Where did you find this!" he said, anger in his voice. He started to walk away and I followed.

"I heard something fall and that's what fell, what's wrong?" I ask as I follow him down the hall to a room I never really go in. It gave me chills.

He turned and looked at me in front of the door. "Don't follow me, and never read this book again." he said and went into the room and slammed the door shut.

I was so shocked. Anti never acted like this unless for a good reason. I sighed and turned around and went back to the living room and sat on the couch.

That was my only way of finding them. Why did Anti act like that, and why doesn't he want me to see the book?

I put my head on my hands and sighed...

I was so close...
