"Avi, you want to take a deep breath, calm down and tell us what happened? Scott asked pulling his older brother's hands off his little brother.

Avi covered his face again with his hands and whispered, "Oh my God, I can't believe this just happened?"

"What happened?" the other three ask.

Avi uncovered his face and looked at the questionable looks on the siblings faces. "He just ask me out on a date. Do you hear what I'm saying? Kevin just ask me out on a FREAKING DATE!! HOLY MOLY!!!"

Kirstie let out a squeal and grabbed Avi around his neck giving him a big hug. "Oh my God, I'm so happy for you." She said as she pulled away, "What are you gonna wear?"

"I don't know," he answered, then his eyes grew big in panic. "WHAT THE HELL AM I GOING TO WEAR!!" He shouted.

"Will you calm down,Av," Scott laughed, "We'll find you something."

"Scott, I don't have anything but rags." Avi said sadly.

Scott stands up holding his hand out to help his brother up. "Maybe I have something you can wear." he says as he pulls Avi up from the floor.

"Hey Avi? Are you mad at me?" Mitch ask, not for sure what to make of being calling a 'dick head'.

"No, of course not," Avi said pulling his little queen into a hug. "If it hadn't been for you and your smart mouth, Kevin probably would have never ask me out." laughed Avi. "Now you three need to get to bed. Tomorrow's Friday and you have school. Now GO!" Avi ordered with a smile.

The next morning Avi fixed the kids a good breakfast. Scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits with jelly and orange juice. He didn't have no problem waking them when the smell of bacon reached their rooms. "This sure beats dry toast and water," Mitch said with a mouth full of bacon and they all nodded in agreement.

They were soon ready for school waiting for the school bus. "Avi, you can go thru my closet today if you want to see if you can find a shirt to wear tomorrow for your date," Scott says as he gathered up his books.

"O.K., Thanks Bro." Avi says as he gives each one a hug before they go out the door. After closing the door behind them Avi turns around and smiles to himself, "My date" and then fist pumps the air.

After cleaning up the kitchen and making the beds he decides to take a look thru some of Scott's shirts to see if he could find something he could wear. As for the pants he would just have to see if he had a pair that weren't so ragged.

Scott and Mitch had to share a bedroom. He felt so bad for Scott. Most 17 yr. old had their own room. They had their own car. Their mom had left in the only car they had. But you never heard Scott complain. He was also gay but unlike Avi, Scott has manage to secretly go on a few dates. Scott was Avi's rock to lean on when things got to hard to handle. He always knew what to say to lift Avi's spirit back up.

Avi did manage to find a blue long sleeve shirt in the back of the closet that Scott had outgrown. He tried it on and it fit perfectly. Then he headed to his closet to look for a pair of jeans that didn't look to bad. He finally found a pair that had a small hole in the knee but wasn't that noticeable. He would have to ask the fashion expert Mitch if they were O.K.. Now for the shoes. He looked down at his old converse that he was wearing and shook his head. No way. He started digging around in the bottom of his closet and finally pulled out a pair of boots that probably wouldn't look too bad if they were cleaned up.

He ran his fingers thru his messy hair, "Well I guess that's about all I need for my date, " he said to himself. "Date. HOLY MOLY!!!!"
