Left with no choice, Nandini, along with Mukti goes for the HR convention. Mohan Thakkar introduces Nandini and Manik to Mr. Raman Balsara who is a successful businessman and can give them a very big project. But for that they have to prove that their company is better than the competitors and that Manik and Nandini share a very good rapport at work, since their inter-personal relationship will make a huge impact on Mr. Balsara.

In the middle of their discussion, Manik gets a call from Rupali. Rupali reaches the hotel that they are in and Manik takes her up to a room and shuts the door. Nandini gets extremely upset seeing this. To add to her misery, shayam Gupta, who has joined hands with the competitor, passes nasty remarks about Nandini working her way up the success ladder with the help of Manik and comments about them having a special relationship.

Nandini gets even more disturbed hearing this and cant stop crying. Taking advantage of the situation, shayam adds a pill to Nandini's drink so that they don't get the contract. Nandini gulps the drink and rushes out of the party.

Meanwhile, Manik searches for Nandini since the results of the contract are about to be announced in an hour and Nandini is nowhere to be found. Someone tells him that they saw Nandini moving out in the car. Manik frantically searches for her when on the other hand, Nandini can barely drive straight since her head starts spinning due to the effects of the pill. At the right time, Manik spots her and tells her to return back to the hotel with him.

Under the effect of the pill, Nandini tells Manik what she thinks about him and Rupali. She tells him that he is totally two-faced and that he need not care about her since he has Rupali whom he loves so dearly. Manik gets extremely angry hearing this and tells her that he went into the room with Rupali for his dad and is paying for his dad's mistakes! Nandini is shocked hearing this

Manik tells Nandini that he is trying hide his father's mistake and is hence sending Rupali abroad. Infact he hasn't told his father about it because he doesn't want him to worry. Nandini refuses to believe this and turns to leave. Manik tries to stop her but accidently pulls her sari and it rips off from the pinned-up portion. Nandini tries hard to manage her sari and is embarrassed at the same time. Manik senses this and helps her cover-up. Manik then offers to drop Nandini home. Nandini refuses at first but gives in after Manik pleads and says 'please' which is quite unlike the 'Manik Malhotra ' Nandini has always known.

Manik goes for a swim after reaching home, recalling the incidents of the day, when  Aliya spots him and is awed by him. Manik in turn totally ignores her and moves off. Her mom tells Aliya that Manik is a hard nut to crack as he hates women. Aliya tells her that she is ready for the challenge and will marry Manik only.

Manik goes to Rajvardhan's room late in the night and tells him that he saw a girl today and couldn't take his eyes off him. It was a strange feeling and he has never experienced it before. Rajvardhan tells him that he should speak to the girl about it and get some sleep now.

Nandini is in deep thought about the days' incidents and looks at her torn sari. Navya asks her how did her sari rip off but she doesn't tell her anything.

Just after Manik leaves, Rajvardhan spots Aliya and assumes that she is the one Manik was talking about. He shares the news with Thakkar and tells him that their friendship will soon turn into relationship. Mrs Thakkar however is unsure if Aliya is the girl Manik is talking about.
On the other side

Mukti and Abhimanyu  land up going to the same cafe where Harshad and Mukti frequently visited. Abhimanyu  notices Harshad's picture and asks the cafe owner about him. The cafe owner tells him that it is his friend Harshad Murthi's picture and he is no more. Infact his wife is coming here after very long. He says this and points towards Mukti but Abhimanyu  misunderstands this as some other girl. Mukti can't bear to be in that cafe for any longer and she moves out of there.
Manik can barely sleep in the night and can't stop smiling every time he imagines Nandini. The case with Nandini isn't too different. Her sister's wonder what could be wrong with her.

Aliya tries to befriend Manik when he taken an apple without knowing that Aliya had already picked it for herself. Manik is unmoved by her desperate attempts and gives her a cold shoulder. Aliya however is not going to give up so soon.

Manik spots a hair clip in his car which apparently belongs to Nandini. He keeps it with himself. Nandini and Manik bump into each other in office. They don't talk to each other but their eyes meet and speak volumes!

Meanwhile, Siddharth declares his observation about Manik and Nandini to his other colleagues. He heard shayam passing remarks about Manik and Nandini having an affair and he quite agrees to what he said. He had also seen Manik going after Nandini the other day after the party. Saloni tries to reason with him saying Manik and Nandini are colleagues only and shayam himself in an extremely cheap person. However, Siddharth refuses to understand anything and lays a bet with Saloni about them having an affair. 

Manik summons them to his cabin where Siddharth notices the hair clip. He asks Manik about it but Manik doesn't reply. This strengthens Siddharths belief.
Manik and Nandini are both lost in each others' thoughts while aimlessly running through their respective files
