Nandini can't stop admiring the person who sent her her favorite flowers when she notices a file in her hand. The file has Rupali's mobile bills, flight expenses and medical expenses which Rupali wants Manik to pay. The fact that Rupali asks Manik to pay all her bills surprises Nandini.
Meanwhile, Manik desperately searches for the same file and gets very angry with Nandini when she brings the file to him. He tells her not to interfere in his matters.
On the other hand, Abhimanyu  invites Mukti and her entire family for a Holi party at their office. Nandini refuses to go there since Manik will also be present at the party, even though Holi is her favorite festival. But when Mukti tells her that Manik will not be present, she readily agrees to go. Badi Ma and the other sisters wonder why Manik has started affecting her so much!
Abhimanyu  tells Manik to come for Holi to which Manik effuses saying he never plays Holi. But when Abhimanyu  tells him that Nandini is also coming for the party, Manik secretly wishes to be a part of it but doesn't voice it in front of Abhimanyu .
On the day of Holi, Mohan goes to visit Pt. Ram  to get him to sign the papers for the land next to the music school on which they want to build a studio. Ram  respectfully denies saying the land was allotted by the government for a music school and he cant agree to give it for commercial use. Disappointed, Mohan leaves.
Much against her wishes, Mukti goes for the Holi party along with the sisters. Abhimanyu  gets a cut-out of Manik and places it right in the middle of the ground and tells everyone that they can apply color to the cut-out since their boss Manik can't be a part of the celebration.
Back home, Manik gets a call from Rupali asking for some papers that she needs. Manik realizes that the papers are in office. He goes to office to discover that a cut-out of him has been kept at the Holi Party. Out of curiosity, he heads towards the cut-out to see it when from the other side, Nandini heads towards the cut-out to spray colored water on it. According to her, there couldn't be a better way to let out her anger for Manik. Just then, the cut-out is accidently moved by some kids and Nandini sprays colored water on Manik, much to the horror of the on-lookers

Manik gets extremely annoyed and he blames Nandini for putting his cut-out. He is in no mood to pardon her or listen to her explanation and amidst all this; Nandini falls in a tub full of colored water. This seems to have given Manik some satisfaction when Abhimanyu  tells Manik that he put his cut-out in the middle of the party!

Nandini sees Harshad's watch on Mukti's wrist and asks her why she is wearing it. Mukti tells her that the ticking of the watch means Harshad is still with her. Abhimanyu  tells Manik that he really loves Mukti. Manik tells him to tell Mukti what he thinks about her.

Abhimanyu  goes to Mukti and due to his drunken state; he goofs up between Manik and Mukti. He tells Mukti that he loves Manik and wants him to marry too and is super-excited about it. Mukti can't help but smile at Abhimanyu 's state and his keenness to express his feelings. Abhimanyu  realizes the goof up but is thrilled on seeing Mukti smile. Mukti is surprised at herself and just then, she looks at the watch and the watch has stopped ticking! It is almost like a sign for her from Harshad that she should move on with Abhimanyu .
Meanwhile, Nandini steps out of the party after drying herself and is stunned to see Rupali romancing in the car with a man whom she assumes is Manik. Deep down inside her heart, she doesn't like what she is seeing.
Mohan tells Rajvardhan about Ram 's unwillingness to sign the papers. Rajvardhan assures him that they will get a way out to get the papers signed and will also succeed in breaking off Abhimanyu 's engagement.
Next day, Manik tells Nandini to search for his watch which he lost the day before. He tells her all the places he went to. Nandini wonders why he doesn't mention the car park where he was with Rupali. She tells Siddharth how much she hates Manik, his habits; his nature and how she can't even stand him for a second when unknown to her, Manik Malhotra  overhears everything!

As a punishment for whatever Nandini said about him to Siddharth, Manik tells Nandini that she cannot go home till the time she doesn't find Manik's watch.
Desperate to find the watch, Nandini goes to Rupali's place where she finds Rupali with another man. Nandini overhears Rupali saying that she is simply using Manik and is doing everything she can to blackmail him and get money out of him. Nandini gets upset hearing this and goes straight to Manik to tell him this.
Contrary to what she expected, Manik blasts her for interfering in his life. He comments on her status and the fact that she comes from a poor house. Nandini is extremely hurt hearing this and she resigns on the spot.
She returns home in a foul mood and starts cursing Manik. Mukti asks her why Manik is affecting her so much. Why did she have to go to Rupali's place and report whatever she heard to Manik? Why is she so concerned about him? Nandini has no answers to all these questions but Mukti tells her that for Nandini, Manik is much more than being just her boss.
Abhimanyu  requests Manik to get Nandini out so that Mukti can accompany her and he can spend some time with Mukti. Manik refuses at first, but then lands up at Nandini's place to tell her to accompany him for an HR convention to display a project. Nandini reminds him that she has resigned to which he tells her that she has to give a month notice period before leaving. He then tells her to get Mukti along so that Abhimanyu  can talk to her. Nandini is left with no choice but to see 'Malhotras face again the next morning
