~~~RABIA's POV~~~
"Hussain!" I screamed his name, desperately looking for him. A soft cry echoed in the house, scaring me.
"Apne Hussain Ko dekha hai?" I asked mama as I made Ra'id sit on the couch beside her.
"Woh Toh Shehzaad Ko day care Le Kar Gaya tha na?" She frowned at me as Ra'id crawled up to her.
"It's been four hours. Abhi tak Nahi aaya," I sighed, "Woh kitna ro rahi hai room main. Aise bacchi Ko room main Akela chorh Ke jaata hai kya koi?"
"Main call karti hoon usse," Mama picked up the landline as I ran up stairs again to Hussain's room.
Opening the door, I peeped through the tiny space and spotted her sitting in the middle of the bed, rubbing her eyes with her tiny hands. The sun shone upon her angelic face and I smiled, even though she was crying. Her light brown hair perfectly cascaded down to her elbows; she was diva by birth. Just as gorgeous as her mother!
"Arey yeh Kaun Roh raha hai? Tayi Ki choti Si pari hai yeh Toh," I spoke as cheerfully as I could and went inside to pick her up.
"Inni shubha subha kaishe uth gayi Meri jaan?" Kissing her temple, I took her out again. She grabbed her doll on our way out and rested her head on my shoulder.
"Papa," she sobbed as I patted her back. "Abhi aa jaayenge papa."
I went down stairs and made her sit on the couch beside Ra'id. "Annu, bacho Ke liye doodh garam Kar do," I called out and then sighed.
"Rote Nahi beta," I wiped her cheeks and soon Ra'id crawled up to her, tapping her knees. That changed her mood.
"Baby!" She giggled, seeing him, and I smiled at the two.
"Khud Toh jaise dadi amma ho gayi hai," Hussain's voice, made me look up, as he came in and picked her up from behind, "Meri doll Mujhe miss Kar rahi thi na!"
"Kahan Marr Gaye the?" I scowled at him, "it took you four hours to drop Shehzaad at day care?"
"Kisi ko airport Se laane gaya tha," He smiled casually and I stood up from the couch.
"Kaun?" I frowned at him as he turned towards the door.
"Aaj Madiha Ka office main pehla din hai, ek chota sa surprise Toh banta tha, Nahi?" He smiled at me and I looked ahead of me as a couple of people, along with a little boy, of Shehzaad's age, came in.
"Please come in," I politely invited them inside even though I didn't recognise anyone.
"Yeh hein kaun?" I asked Hussain in a whisper, still keeping a smile on my face, and he rolled his eye at me.
"Tujhe bari jaldi hai. Rukk, introduce karwata hoon."
~~~MADIHA's POV~~~
"I read the file, and it's good but I think there is a mistake on page twenty one," I spoke with uncertainty. It is my first day and dad had asked me to report to the manager once my work was done.
"Quite impressive," Mr Adam smiled at me and looked down at his watch, "Took you a lot less than what I had expected."
"Thank you sir," I replied politely and he walked away with the file. Exhaling a sharp breath, I sat down on my seat and focused on the computer again. I was loving my new job.
Five years ago, Hussain had asked me to complete my studies and with graduation, came along masters. I would have started work earlier but, three years ago Aziza happened. Our daughter, Hamari choti si Pari. Hussain has always been so supportive no matter what I do; he is the one who ensured me that I should work if I want to and that's good. But the downside of it is that he can't look after Aziza that well. I just hope he doesn't mess up.
"Knock knock!" Shehry's voice snapped me out of my thoughts. Shit! I zoned out at my work place! I cursed myself and instantly stood up. "Shehry bhai-"
"Bhai?" he raised an eyebrow at me and I gulped. "Sorry... Sir."
"That's better," his glare turned into a smile and I chuckled.
"Dad said you can go home for the day," He said as he picked up the other file I was working on.
"What?" I looked down at my watch; it was exactly noon. "But its only twelve."
"Arrey aaj ke liye itna bohot hai. Waise bhi Aziza ko bohot pareshaan kar liya Hussain ne," He chuckled, making me frown.
"Matlab?" I asked me and he sighed. "Sahab zaade subha se ghar par nahi hein."
"What?" I gasped, picking up my phone and dialled Hussain's number, "That's insane! He told me he will look after her."
"I know," Shehry nodded, casually. I ended the call when Hussain didn't pick up and collected my bag.
"Responsibility naam ki koi cheez hi nahi," I groaned as I stuffed my belongings in there.
"I agree," Shehry nodded again and I paused for a moment to take in a deep breath.
"I am over reacting. Rabia aur mama hein toh Aziza ke paas," I sighed and Shehry nodded again, agreeing with me. I scowled at him for being so irritating and he chuckled, "ab jao bhi."
"Don't tell dad Hussain is not at home. Kuch kaam hoga unhein. I am sure," I told him and he smiled. "Yeah, defend him in front of everyone. Par uski class toh privately hi lagegi."
I shook my head, smiling at him comment, "Kya karoon? aaj kal waise bhi dad kuch zyada naraz rehte hein."
"I know," Shehry sighed, "But he will be fine soon when Hussain's work will speak for him."
"In Shah Allah," I smiled and he kept his hand on my shoulder, smiling.
"Main chalti hoon," I told him and he stepped aside, allowing me to leave. On my way out, I texted Rabia and then unlocked my car.
Me: I'll pick up Shehzaad. Need any grocery?
While I shoved my things on the back seat, her reply came.
Rabia: No, Just diapers for Ra'id. Thanks!
Me: Okie Dokie
Opening the front door, I sat inside and started the engine, before speeding out of the parking lot. Yeh bhi Hussain ka hi kamal hai. apni poori zindagi mein main itni nahi badli jitna Hussain ne mujhe inn paanch saalon badal diya hai. My confidence has reached a few levels high in everything. I smile a lot more, act more of my age, take less tension- well, as long as it doesn't involve Aziza. In fact, I think she, Shehzaad and Ra'id changed me more; ghar main sabke andar ke bacche bahar nikal diye hein.
Dad usually comes home with toys instead of frowns on his forehead now, eagerly waiting to meet the kids. Shehry doesn't bring his work home since he already has Shehzaad and Ra'id to keep him busy. Mama has stopped cooking lately since she likes spending more time with kids. Aur Hussain- nothing has changed about him. He is still a kid at heart.
I finally parked in front of Shehzaad's Kindergarten and stepped out of the car. Going inside, I wrote my name on the register and signed him out before going in to look for him.
"Chachi!" He screamed in joy when he saw me, and came running towards me. I bent down and quickly picked him up, "How was your day, Handsome?"
He grinned at the term and then stretched his arms wide, "It was ami-am-am-"
"Amazing," I chuckled when he couldn't remember the world. I kept him down and he grabbed his bag, walking out with me.
"Eww, pink!" He scrunched his nose upon seeing Aziza's car seat in my car, "Main ni bethunga."
I sighed, going on my knees, "Toh hum ghar kaise jaayenge?"
"I don't know," he shrugged, "Buy me a new one."
"Buy you a new one? Paise ped pe lage hein na jaise?" I asked him, raising an eyebrow at him, and he giggled, nodding at me.
Male version of Maha in progress! I sighed, shaking my head.
"Shehzaad good boy hai na?" I asked him and he nodded again, "Toh chachi ki baat maan lo?"
"Ice cream do ge?" he asked.
"Your mom will kill me," I sighed.
"then No," he wrapped his arms around himself and turned away, giving me attitude.
"Fine," I groaned, "Ab maan jao?"
He turned around and grinned at me again before kissing my cheek. I sighed in relief and made him sit in the car before getting behind the wheels again. Maa pe Gaya hai apni!
Driving hardly two blocks away, I parked the car in front of Walmart, and stepped out again. "Chalo, lets buy you some ice cream."
He clapped his hand excitedly as he jumped out of the car and I grabbed his hand, stopping him from going on the road. After buying his ice cream, Ra'id diapers, and a few other things on my list, I made him sit in the car again. By this time he was bathing in melted chocolate that was soon going to go everywhere.
~~~
Loud cry echoed in my ear as soon as I entered the house. While Shehzaad ran towards Rabia, I spotted Hussain upstairs, just by the staircase. He was gently rocking Aziza in his arms, trying to calm her down. I wanted to smile at the sight but, I was also mad at him for leaving her alone.
"Ek din aapse meri bacchi sambhali nahi gayi na," I huffed as I ran upstairs and he smiled at me. "Azzu dekho mumma aa gayi!"
"Do isse mujhe," I snatched her from his hands and realised her diaper was sticking out weirdly.
"You couldn't even smell it?" I asked him in disbelief once I had checked her diaper, and Hussain frowned at me. "I swear it was not there before."
"Yeah right!" I rolled my eyes at him and walked past him to go inside the room. "Ek din main yeh haal hai toh mere peeche se kya hoga iska?"
"Hussain sambhal lega, Jaise usne tujhe sambhala hai."
Someone spoke behind me and my breath hitched in my throat; I knew the voice. Baba! I gulped as realisation hit me and slowly turned around. My knees felt weak when my eyes fell on him, sitting in a wheelchair. Hussain instantly rushed beside me and took Aziza from me before gently rubbing my arm.
No! He can't be here! I voice spoke inside me, breaking my heart into million pieces. But then he spoke up again.
"Bohot naraz hai na mujhse?" he asked and I ran up to him, going on my knees instantly. He is actually here!
How long I have waited to see him again.
"Nahi, bilkul bhi nahi." I shivered when he kept his hand on my head as I hugged his knees. He was starting to look so old; his health was making him age before time.
"Aanth saal tak na khud tujhse Milne aaya, na Kisi Aur Ko tujhse Milne diya." He raised his hands and joined them togerther. They were shivering. "Mujhe maaf kar de Madiha, I failed you as a parent."
"Aap maafi kyun maang rahe hein? Aapki koi galti nahi hai, baba. Please, stop crying," I was sobbing myself, "aap aa gaye hein na, mere liye yeh hi bohot hai."
He broke down in front of me as he leaned closer to kiss my forehead. I closed my eyes as he kept his hands on my cheeks and inhaled a deep breath; this feeling was better that any other feeling in the world.
"Api?"
Anam?
I looked up and found my two sisters standing by my bedroom's door. "Aap sab yahan kaise?" I frowned at them and Isha smiled at me.
"Yeh sab Hussain bhai ka plan hai. Mama ko bhi unhone ne hi manaya," She spoke and I looked back at Hussain with tears in my eyes. He smiled at me softly, making my heart swell with happiness. This man never fails to find a way to make me happy.
"I missed you so much," Anam made me look away from his face as she hugged me from behind.
"I missed you more, meri jaan," I smiled at her. Everything felt so unreal that I desperately wanted someone to pinch me right now.
"Mama kahan hai?" I frowned at Anam and she sighed. "She didn't know how to face you. The moment she realised you are here, she ran upstairs to the terrace."
"I'll go find her," I smiled at them and ran upstairs. My heart rate increased with each step; I didn't know how she would react. Woh mujhse baat Toh karengi na?
~~~HUSSAIN'S POV~~~
"Aye yuck," I scrunched my nose as I peeled away Aziza's diaper. Giving her a quick shower, I dressed her up again and planted a kiss on her cheek, glad that she wasn't throwing any tantrums right now.
As soon as I stood up, she stretched her arms, asking me to pick her up, and I made her sit on my shoulder. She giggled, wrapping her tiny hands round my forehead, and I held her legs to make sure she is safe.
Ever since she came along, my whole world has started to revolve around her. While she made Madiha a lot more carefree than she used to be, She forced me to focus on my goals more. And no, that doesn't include family business anymore.
"Aah look who is here!" Anam cheered as we went downstairs and I took Aziza off my shoulder. Anam came forward and took her from me. Surprisingly, Anam was the only one Aziza was comfortable with and strongly avoided Madiha's mother. As if she is angry with her grandmother for making her mother cry so much.
I chuckled at my thoughts and looked around for Madiha. Not finding her in the living room, I went up to the kitchen where she was cooking with Rabia.
"Rabia don't add too much chilly because Mama can't handle it," Madiha spoke and Rabia turned to look at her when her eyes fell on me. I kept a finger on my lips, signalling her to keep quiet, and gestured her to leave. She smirked at me before adding some ingredients in the pot, along with some water, and stepped back.
"You dare burn my curry!" Rabia hissed at me on her way out, and I pulled her cheek. "Thank you bhabhi jaan."
Madiha was so lost in her own world while chopping the vegetables that she didn't even realise that Rabia wasn't there anymore and continued talking to her. When no one replied to her, she stopped and looked up, frowning, "Ra-"
Just then, I wrapped my arms around her waist, scaring her. She jumped in my arms as she turned her head to look at me. I grinned at her as I pecked her cheek.
"I missed you," I whispered, lazily, and rested my chin on her shoulder. She giggled before tilting her head to kiss my temple. "How was you day?" I finally got the opportunity to ask.
"It was amazing, everyone is so friendly," She sighed and I nodded, agreeing with her. "Dad got the best staff."
"And what about you? Producer se baat hui?" She asked and I nodded again, which made her smile.
"They will be signing me for two new albums but, it isn't in writing yet," I told her and she quickly turned around to hug me. "I am so happy for you Hussain! Ab dekhna, har jagah bas Hussain Asif ke gaane honge. Sabke ipods main, radios main- aap hi ki awaaz hogi!"
"Woh jab hoga, tab hoga. Calm down for now," I chuckled, seeing her excited about it already.
After trying my best to learn from dad, there came a time when I gave up on everything. Business was just not my thing and that's when Madiha encouraged me to do what makes me happy. I am still exploring my talent but, one thing that I was sure about was singing. It was something I left behind years ago but, Madiha reminded me of it again with her countless song requests. And I am glad she did!
"Woh hoga aur bohot jald hoga! You will be a star!" She squealed in joy and I chuckled again.
If it wasn't for her, I would have not shown the courage to tell dad that I was not made for business. She is like my backbone.
"Tum saath ho Toh definitely ho jaayega."
~~~RABIA's POV~~~
"You are thiry minutes late already," I groaned in the phone while I fixed the bedsheet of Shehzaad's bed, "I swear Shehry, if you come past his bed time, I wont let you inside the bedroom."
"Oh ho, I am stuck at a meeting, Rabia. Stop acting like kids," He sighed.
"Acting like kids? You haven't met your own kids in two days!" I huffed, reminding him, "now listen to me, don't forget to buy a teether for Ra'id and you better come home on t-"
I shrieked as someone pulled me back, "lo aa gaya. Ab khush?"
Shehry!
"Tum kab aaye?" I asked him and he chuckled, slowly taking the phone from my hand.
"Jab tum mujhe daant rahi thi," He replied as he ended the call, and I sighed. "Daant nahi rahi thi."
"Acha? man'na parega," He chuckled, shaking his head, "Tumhaare pyaar karne ka tareeka bohot alag hai."
"Shut up," I slapped his chest lightly, embarrassed. He laughed and gently pulling my cheek before stepping away.
"Ra'id teether, Shehzaad's soccer ball, and Aziza's teddy bear," he showed me two large bags which contained the toys.
"Aur mere liye?" I asked me, raising my eyebrows, and he frowned at me. "What did you want? Tumhaare liye main hoon na!"
I gave him a bored look for being so lame and he shook his head as he reached for his pocket, "fine. chocolates for you."
"This is why I love you!" I squealed, grabbing the bars from his hands.
"And what do I get in return?" He asked me and I narrowed my eyes at him. "Sochna bhi mat! I am not sharing my chocolate with you!"
"I don't want your chocolates," He rolled his eyes at me, "I want your lips."
"What?" I burst our laughing, as he leaned closer.
"You suck at being romantic," I teased him and he suddenly pulled me closer by my waist, making my eyes go wide.
"As long as you know what I meant." His warm breath fanned my neck as he traced his lips along my skin, making me shiver. I squirmed under his touch when his lips touched my weak spot but, just on the cue, Ra'id woke up.
Shehry cursed, stepping away, and I laughed at the perfect timing, "You see, Ra'id doesn't like sharing mommy just yet."
I was going to pick up Ra'id when Shehry stopped me and went near his cot. He smiled lovingly at our eight months old son before carefully picking him up.
"He needs his daddy more," He grinned at Ra'id, who fell quiet the moment Shehry hugged him. I smiled at the father son duo and went back to fixing the bed for Shehzaad.
"I'll get his food ready," I told Shehry and left them alone in the room, only to be caught by Shehzaad.
He wrapped his arms around my legs, stopping me just outside the bedroom. I smiled at him as I picked him up in my arm.
"Aapne khana kha liye?" I asked him in a baby tone and he nodded at me. "Chachi saath khaya."
"Good boy," I kissed his cheek and took him inside the room. he jumped down the moment he saw Shehry and ran up to him for a hug before kissing Ra'id's forehead. He is the good older brother; even though his is just four, I can already see him being the responsible one and looking after Ra'id when they grow up.
Smiling at my sight, I went over to Shehry and pecked on his cheek for being a perfect father and a loving husband. I picked up shehzaad and made him sit beside me on the bed while we giggled, amazed by Ra'id yawns and stretches. Soon Shehzaad had fallen asleep in my lap and Shehry was busy, feeding Ra'id. He kept making faces at him until he finished all of his food.
Sometimes, he amazes me with how he looks after the kids. Like, one moment he is too busy handling deals worth millions of dollars and then he becomes a child himself, only to keep these two entertained.
Once Ra'id had fallen asleep too, we tucked both of them in their beds and kissed their forehead. Shehry turned on the baby monitor before turning off their room's light.
"I love you," I spoke up out of no where and Shehry shot me a teasing smile.
"I thought you only loved chocolate," he teased me and I snorted. "Don't drag my Bae into this."
"I wish you were that protective over me," he sighed, mockingly, and I grinned, reminding him. "Oh wasn't I protective enough when last year Naomi practically threw herself on you?"
"She slipped," Shehry defended her, making me angry, "you just embarrassed her in front of everyone because of your mood swings."
That was when I was pregnant with Ra'id and Shehry was working from home. She came over to get some papers signed and apparently she 'tripped because of her six inch heels' and that too, right on top of my husband!
"Oh please, you don't know such girls," I rolled my eyes, "they like throwing themselves on rich men."
"She isn't one of— okay fine," he sighed once I shot a glare at him, "I lost."
"Good," I grinned at him as he opened our bedroom's door, "and you better stay away from her."
"You kicked her out of her job the same day," he reminded me and I nodded, satisfied. That was the last secretary Shehry appointed. He isn't allowed to have one anymore.
"Now do I get to have what I want?" He asked once we entered our room and I shook my head.
"Nope, you need to have dinner first." I told him and walked over to the baby monitor and turned it on to make sure I could hear whenever anyone of the boys woke up.
"Oh come on, who cares about food when I have you?" He whined, stubbornly, and I shook my head again.
"Fine, looks like I'll have to call Naomi again," he sighed, taking me by surprise. I gasped, pushing him back, and he fell on the bed.
"Uss churail Ka naam bhi mat Lena!" I warned him, pointing my index finger at him, and he laughed. Suddenly he grabbed my hand and pulled me closer, making me fall beside her.
"Uska Toh kya, kisi Ka naam Nahi loonga," he smiled at me as he rested his head on his palm, supporting it with his elbow on the bed.
"You have given me two precious gems. Your presence in my life completes my world, Rabia. I don't need anything or anyone else."
I smiled at his words. He has always been the mature and the calm one. He knows how to work his way around with words to bring a smile on my lips.
"I love you," he whispered softly and I raised my hand to caress his cheek. "I love you a wee bit more."
Actually no, I just don't love him; but, I love all of these three most important men in my life. My happy little family.
~~~MADIHA's POV~~~
"I don't want to sleep api. Hum kitne waqt baad miley hein. There is so much to talk about!" Isha whined, even though her son was sleeping alone in the room.
"I am sleepy, main toh chali," Anam got up to leave but Isha held her hand, pulling her down again.
"We all know tu kitna sone wali hai aur kitna chat karne wali hai," She rolled her eyes at Anam and I frowned at them. "Chat? kisse?"
"Arrey! You don't even know!" Isha slapped her forehead, shaking her head in disbelief, "agle mahine Nikah hai madam ka."
"What?" I blurted in surprise. My baby sister is old enough for that?
"Perfect office love story hai," Isha continued to gossip while Anam turned red beside her.
"I have to sleep, bye!" She ran away before we could stop her. Isha pulled out her phone and showed me the guy's photo. I smiled, impressed.
"Tell me more about him tomorrow," I told her and she agreed on it. We bid each other good night after a long night of gossip and I headed upstairs.
The lights of my room were still turned on and I frowned, not seeing Aziza in her usual spot.
"Azu kahan hai?" I asked Hussain, who was busy on his phone.
"She is sleeping with Maha," He answered lazily, "she kept her entertained with her new doll house until she fell asleep."
"oh. I'll go get her," I said but Hussain stopped me. "Let her be, she is sleeping anyway."
I sighed, unsure about it, but then nodded at him. Moving over to the dressing table, I took my Hijab pins out and neatly kept them in their small box. Unclasping the silver bracelet, I placed that in it's rightful spot too. I wear it everyday and now it even has another charm added to it. A for Aziza.
"Aise kya dekh rahe hein?" I asked when I spotted Hussain staring at me through the mirror.
"Chaand," he replied shortly, making me chuckle. "What?"
Without saying anything, he stretched his hand out and I went near the bed to hold. He made me sit in front of him and cupped my face between his palms, "khush ho?"
"Bohot," I smiled at him, satisfied, "thanks for bringing my parents here."
"Anything for you teacher ji!" He grinned and I smiled at that term. He stopped calling me that ages ago but, he still uses it here and there sometimes.
"Seriously Hussain, it is the best day of my life," I told him and he raised an eyebrow at me. "Really? I thought it was when Aziza was born," he kept a finger on his chin, and frowned at me.
"Hussain!" I whined, "you know what I mean!"
He laughed, shaking his head at me. "Yes I do!"
Soon both of us fell quiet and I frowned at him. The smile on his lips told me that he was up to something.
"You know, I was thinking, Aziza is growing up," he spoke after a while and I nodded at him, "ab uska akele Dil Nahi lagta."
"Akele? Sab Toh hote hein uske paas," I frowned at him, "you, Aunty, me, Rabia, Shehzaad, Ra'id—"
"Haan par don't you think she needs a sister now?" He asked, cutting me off and I raised an eyebrow at him, "usse bhi koi chahiye uske saath khelne wali."
How romantic.
"She is starting kindergarten in a month, wahan bohot friends mil jaayengi usse," I quickly got up from the bed and went up to my cupboard to pull out my night gown. Rabia did after all force me to purchase a couple of these.
"Arey agar woh play school jaayegi Toh main ghar pe akela ho jaunga. Then I will need someone," he argued, making me chuckle.
"You will have Ra'id to babysit," I shrugged, "besides, soon you will be busy signing contracts and recording best hits of the year."
He huffed behind me as I entered the washroom and closed the door behind me. Taking a quick shower, I changed into the red gown and stepped out of the washroom, only to be greeted by darkness.
The light coming from the washroom guided me towards the light switch but as soon as I stepped away from the washroom, it's light went out too. I flinched, jumping around.
"Hussain?" I panicked as a faint shadow moved across the room. "It's a bad joke," I said when he didn't reply.
Suddenly something lit up in the far corner. It seemed like a candle. "Hussain?" I called his name again, staring at that light, and gasped when an arm snaked around my waist.
"Happy birthday, Jaan," he whispered as he slowly pressed his body against mine, pushing me back. My back touched the wall and I smiled at nothing but darkness as his lips somehow found mine.
Gently deepening the kiss, he abruptly pulled away and rested his forehead against mine. "Don't want to get carried away just yet," he whispered and suddenly he removed his hand from my waist. I fisted his shirt, scared that he would disappear again and he chuckled.
"Relax, yaheen hoon," I nodded to myself and just then he pressed a switch, right behind me. The dimmest bulb in the far corner of the room, turned on, spreading light.
Hussain pecked on my lips again while staring into my eyes, and slowly stepped away to let me look behind him. There was a small cake on the glass table with a bunch of white roses kept right next to it. I looked back at Hussain, surprised, and he chuckled, running a hand through his hair.
"You are spoiling me," I told him and he just shrugged. "My queen deserves to be spoiled. Let's cut the cake."
He dragged me towards the trolley and hugged my from behind, making me giggle. His arms went tighter around my waist as I picked up the knife.
"Make a wish," he whispered against my earlobe, resting his chin on my shoulder, and I tilted my head to look at him. "How about you do?"
He frowned at my answer and pulled away slightly, "it's your birthday."
"Fine," I sighed, "let's make one together.... Please?"
He nodded at my demand and came to stand beside me. "Ready?" I asked him and we blew on the candle together, giggling.
I slowly sliced the beautiful heart shaped cake and took a slice out to feed Hussain. Once he took a bite, he took it from my hand and fed me.
"Thank you for the amazing start of this day," I said to him and he shook his head. "This doesn't define amazing just yet. There is a lot more coming up tomorrow."
"Really? Ab isse zyada Aur kya?" I asked him, "the day hasn't even started and you made it a whole lot special already."
He smiled, shaking his head, and held my hands to pull me closer, "you are too special to deserve any less, Madiha."
"I am not," I shook my head, "I don't even know what I did to deserve you."
"You just won my heart I guess," he shrugged casually, making me chuckle.
His left hand touched my cheek, tracing circles with his thumb, and I felt a million different feelings exploding inside me as I leaned in to kiss the love of my life. His lips did wonders down my jaw and neck and I involuntarily moaned his name in pleasure.
Before I knew it, he picked me up from the floor, wrapping my legs around his waist, and he kissed me passionately before lowering me on to the bed. I moaned against his lips, threading my fingers through his hair and he pulled back slightly only to peel away his shirt.
Hours later, we were wrapped up in each other's arms and peacefully staring up at the ceiling.
"Wish main kya maanga?" I asked him. He slightly shifted towards me and I giggled when his fingers brushed against my waist, tickling me.
"Yeh maanga," he smiled, "tumhaari hansi."
I sighed, hiding my face in the crook of his neck.
"What did you ask for?" He asked and I held his hand in mine.
"This," I spoke staring at it, "I asked for you."
"But I am already yours," he chuckled, "Kuch Acha hi maang leti."
"Isse accha Aur kya ho sakta hai?" I asked him and felt a squeeze on my waist. I gasped when his hand move further down and pulled me even closer.
He chuckled as I looked down and kissed the top of my head. Soon silence crept between us and all I could hear was his heart that was beating right under my ear.
"What are you thinking?" I asked him after a while, catching his attention again.
He slightly pulled away to look at me. I rested my head on his arm instead and he smiled, "about us. You and I. About Aziza. Thanks for giving me my little princess."
"You thank me for that everyday," I kept my hand on his chest and he chuckled, staring up at the ceiling.
"Kya karoon? Every time I hold her, I get reminded of how lucky I am," he sighed and raised his free hand to keep it on mine, "life feels complete."
"It does," I whispered, agreeing with him.
I couldn't ask for more. My life feels perfect with all these amazing people beside me. My family, uncle-Aunty, Rabia, Shehry, amma-abba, my amazing husband and not to forget; my beautiful daughter.
"Thanks for teaching me how to smile again," I whispered to him and he sighed. "Thanks for making me believe in myself. "
I shook my head at him. "No, Thanks to you for loving a broken doll."
"Nope, thanks to you for giving me a little doll!" He added to it.
"Thanks for being you." I said and, he ended up groaning. "What is it? Thanksgiving?" He asked and I giggled, "just shut up and take the credit already!"
"I don't want the credit," I protested and he raised an eyebrow at me. "Then what do you want?"
"I want you," I pinched his nose and he stared at me in amusement. But before he could say anything, I yawned, "to sleep. Its four and I am tired!"
"So? It's just four," he frowned and then a mischievous grin appeared on his face, "we could still go for another—"
"Eeh no!" I shrieked, cutting him, when he hovered above me again, "I have work tomorrow, please!"
"No you don't," he shook his head, smirking at me, and lowered himself on me, "dad ne permission de di hai, you are staying at home!"
"You asked him? That's so unprofessional!" I slapped his chest, annoyed, and he grinned at me. I turned my face away instantly when he leaned closer and he ended up digging his face in the crook of my neck.
"Birthday hai, meri jaan. Chalta hai," his soft breath tickled my skin, making me shiver, "besides, I have so much planned for tomorrow! Just you and me; a perfect date."
"Stop it," I moaned when his lips trailed down, dropping soft kisses on my shoulder and he pulled away slightly, smirking at me.
"Make me!"
"Ugh! You are so annoying! I hate you," I groaned, and he chuckled, pulling away. He rolled over to his side and pulled me closer. I rested my head on his arm again as he wrapped it around me.
"You sure you do?" He yawned lazily, making me giggle.
