Hello guys! So this two shots are for the contest of angelsheartforever
I hope I dont disappoint you all!
I have tried writing some emotional stuff and I hope you like it.
I know you mentioned to add family problems but mere hisaab se problems between couple are also family problems.
So here you go!!
"Aur kitnaa time Shehnaaz!!" Sid shouted.
"Yaar do minute toh rukjaa. Yaha likha hai thodi der mai aajayega." She shouted back.
It had been 10 minutes now since she went inside the washroom with the damned pregnancy kit. How complicated can that small stick figure be?
"Do minute, do minute kar rahi hai kabse! Andar maggie ban raha hai kya?" he grunted.
(This comeback is like 5 thousand years old now guys, stop using that. Dont be like me😂)
"Haa kutte, maggie ko janam dungi mai." she laughed at his patience that was less than a salt grain.
"Sid... Do straight line hai baaju mai... Kya matlab uska?" she finally came out with the test in hand.
"Parallel lines? Matlab woh do lines joh kabhi join nahi hoti..." he explained.
She hit the forehead with her hand in frustration,
"Abee Einstein ki aulaad, pregnancy kit mai kya matlab hai uska... Maths mai nahi!"
He smiled wierdly at his blunder and looked into the kit's intructions.
"Ohh... Parellel lines. Parallel lines means... Pregnant. It means Pregnant! Shehnaaz you are Pregnant! I cant believe this, hum parents banne wale hai!" he cried out to her.
Shehnaaz stood there numb staring blankly at the kit till the vision blurred. She let out her tears to fall as she hugged Sid in happiness.
"Shehnaaz, Iska matlab tum... Nahi mai... Nahi hum... Matlab..." Sidharth stuttered in happiness.
"Haa iska matlab mai... Tum... Hum... Same to same. Pregnant!"
"Shehnaaz tum baith jao na... Nahi actually tum let jao... Tum so jao... Tumhare per dard horahe hai? Mai per dabadu? " he stuttered in excitement.
"Nahii!! Sid relax! Mai abhi sirf 2 weeks pregnant hu... Aaja thodi der hug karke so jaate hai." she pulled him along with her to cuddle.
After 5 months
It was morning 3 am, Shehnaaz was 5 months pregnant going through a lot of pain recently. But it was only her second trimester, it was normal to experience uncomfort.
Shehnaaz moved uncomfortably in her sleep. With a sharp pain in her abdomen she felt her life being pulled out of her. The pain was persistent but the feeling of emptiness consuming her was scary.
She opened her eyes breathing heavily. All this happened so quickly she almost had no time to even scream.
"Aaah.... Sidharth!! Aaaahhh... Mai marr rahi hu... Sid..." she shouted.
Sidharth got up at once and looked at her scared. His drowsy eyes got fully opened seeing the pool of blood in between her legs.
"Sana ye kaise! Ye kya hua? Kh... khoon?" he stuttered.
Sana tried to get up but her body just didnt. She touched her hand down there and felt blood.
"Sana is it periods?"
"Mai... Mujhe periods nahi ho sakte! Mai pregnant hu, mujhe periods nahi ho sakte! Sidharth mera baccha! Sidharth humara baby.... Mera..." her eyes drooped in tiredness and fatigue as she drowned into unconsciousness.
His heart skipped a beat, he no longer knew what to do. One moment he was sleeping and the next moment his wife was screaming with blood between her legs.
Sidharth picked her up, he shoved her up in the car making sure not to hurt her at the same time. He drove to the hospital as his life depended on it.
They reached the hospital and Shehnaaz was taken in the ICU. He sat back in the lifeless family ward filled with eerie silence fighting his tears, thinking about how his life was turned upside down in a matter of 30 minutes to be precise.
In another hour or so the doctor made his way out of the ICU tired and dejected.
"Mr. Shukla, Come to my cabin. Lets talk." he said curtly.
Sidharth quitely followed him to the cabin his t shirt still stained and his hands smeared with blood.
"Mr. Shukla, I would firstly appreciate you for not waiting and bringing her to the hospital immediately. We would've lost her if you got her here any later." he patted Sidharth's hand in empathy.
Sidharth felt like land was pulled back from below his feet.
"Wh... What do you mean doctor?"
"Sidharth your wife... She had a miscarriage. The baby is no more. That red spot and blood was the remainder cells of the forming embryo." the doctor said slowly.
When Sidharth was not reacting so the doctor continued,
"Her uterus is very weak to hold the zygote, woh abh kabhi Maa nahi ban payegi. This has happened because of her past records, I... hope you know."
"Doctor... Aage kabhi bhi... she cant get pregnant? Not even IVF?" Sidharth tried to be strong.
"Sidharth even in IVF the placental wall of the uterus needs to hold the egg. IVF helps when fertilization doesnt happen and we introduce a fertilised zygote in the female. In your case, the fertilisation has happened and it will but the holding capacity of her uterus is not enough. I would suggest you to not try too hard again, her body cant go through one more miscarriage."
"Nothing is more important than Shehnaaz, as far as she is with me I need nothing else." he wiped his tears roughly in an failed attempt to hide his pain.
"Sidharth my boy, dont push back your tears. You need to cry, you cannot cry in front of Shehnaaz. She needs strength now. She has lost her baby. Losing the baby is the most painful thing for a feamale. She might undergo mental trauma, you need to oblidge her. You need to do be her strength, we cant let her slip into depressions in this condition. I hope you understand." the doctor patted his back.
Sidharth covered his face as he cried in pain for some time. His trance was broken by the nurse who entered panting heavily.
"Doctor! Sir... The patient is getting panicked. She is getting hysterical, she is throwing away the connections. Sir her mental condition is getting worse..." the nurse informed.
Both the men ran to the ward where Sana was kept.
"Doctor! Kaha hai mera baccha? Sidharth! Baccha... Baccha kaha hai mera? Mere pet mai mera baccha tha... Kaha hai woh. Why am I not feeling the baby!" she screamed.
"Baby... Calm down. Rukk jaa" Sidharth went forward to hug her.
"Nahi! Durr raho mujhse... Pehle mujhe batao mera baby kaha hai? Kya hua hai usse?"
Sidharth pulled her into a forceful hug continously patting her back. He kept her in his embrace till he felt her breathing stabilize.
"Sidharth... Baby please mujhe bata mere bacche ko kya hua hai? Mujhe woh feel kyu nahi horaha?"
"Baby... Woh humse bohot durr chala gaya hai. Woh... Abh humare paas nahi hai." he broke down.
"Shehnaaz your baby is no more. We lost the baby." the doctor said.
Shehnaaz was stilled like she lost her life, the doctor further explained how her past records caused this miscarriage and how she can never conceive.
"Mai kabhi maa nahi ban paungi? Matlab mera baccha? Woh... Woh toh abhi kitna chota sa tha na? Abhi toh uski aakhein bhi nahi bani thi. Aur... Aur kaan? Sidharth kya uske kan bane honge? Kya usne humari aavaz suni hogi? Agar suni toh usse ye kyu nahi pata laga ki hum usse kitna pyar karte hai... Kyu woh hume chodke chala gaya?" she broke down. She was crying continously. Her energy draining she couldnt even look up.
"Baby..." sidharth tried to go near her.
"Mat aa mere paas... Door reh Sidharth! Tune... Tune maara hai mere baccho ko... Sahi suna, baccho ko! Ek nahi do baccho ko!" she cried out loudly confusing all the people present.
"Maine? Do baccho ko?"
"Haa tune! Ye mat samajhna ki mai mere pehle bacche ko bhul gayi hu sidharth... MAI NAHI CHAHTI THI WOH ABORTION! MAI LAANA CHAHTI THI USS UNPLANNED BACCHE KO ISS DUNIYA MAI! MAI USSE JANAM DENA CHAHTI THI... Mai ready thi Sidharth! Mai ready thi... Tu nahi tha! Aur... Aur tune usko abort karva diya... Mere bacche ko mere pet se nikal diya...
And congratulations Mr. Sidharth Shukla! Jab meri body ready thi bacche ke liye tu ready nahi tha! Aur aaj jab tu finally ready hua hai... Meri body ready nahi hai!
Mai kaha hu isme? Naa meri tab galti thi... Na abh!" She screamed.
Sidharth was taken aback by her sudden outburst but he knew she was right. Their first child, the first time she conceived was 1 year ago. He wasnt ready, financially and mentally to bring a child in this world. He wanted to give the child the best he has got. So they decided to abort the child. He knew Sana wasnt completely okay with the decision. He knew she didnt agree whole heartedly. He fucking knew it!
"Aaj woh dono bacche mujhse puch rahe hai Sidharth... Ki humari kya galti thi? HUME KIS GALTI KI SAZA MILI HAI? HUM KYU ISS DUNIYA MAI AANE SE PEHLE HI MARR GAYE? Kya javab du mai unko Sidharth? Kya kahu unko? Kyu mili ye saza unko?" she looked into his eyes.
Sidharth stood there numb, unable to form words. His wife was in a state he never wants her to be, he has lost his child too. Wasnt it his child too? Yes, the baby was growing inside her... She had more emotional connect... But what about him? Doesnt a father have the connection with the child? He loved his baby... Babies? Yes, he wanted that abortion... But because he wanted the best for his child, for their child! How can she blame him? Why!? He as in grieve too.
He tried moving towards her ,
"Matt aa mere paas... Nahi... Mat aa! Durr reh! DURR REH MUJHSE!" She shouted.
The doctor advised him to oblidge and move outside for a while. The doctor injected Sana some tranquilizers to make her calm down. She needed energy, she needed treatment, both physical and mental.
The doctor explained Sidharth aboyt her mental condition, she wasnt in the right state of mind. The loss of her child was taking a toll on her mind. She was losing herself.
Just like that, the next day came over. Sidharth tried his best to talk to her but she always denied. She threatened to not go through the treatment if he tried to come near her.
It broke his heart to see his love in that state. He couldnt stop himself from wanting to go inside and hug her close. He wanted to cry on her shoulder, let her cry in his embrace.
In the next 5 days she was physically treated but her mental condition was grave serious.
Sidharth was losing little pieces of his heart everytime she moved away from him and this time she wanted to move out. She wanted them to take a break and stay seperately for some time. Till she could regain her capability to make out right and wrong.
The doctor agreed to the decision.
"Sidharth I suggest you go by her conditions. She is agreeing to psychiatric treatment and that will help. I will personally ask the doctor to counsel her about your relation too. By the end of the sessions she will be mentally normal to take wise decisions. I cannot give you false hopes but there is a hope. Dont lose your strength Sidharth."
"How do I not Doctor? How do I not lose my strength? She is my strength and feels like I am already losing her. This is the longest time we've gone without talking. We've seen many lows in our marriage but never did I feel that I might lose her. I am not sure this time." he smiled lonely.
Time moved slower than he expected ever day he spent without her seemed like a year. They appointed a maid to take care of her. He was in constant contact with her to know about Sana and her status. He was back to work but nothing was normal. His life was hit by a tornado.
2 months later,
Sana attended her last psychiatric session. She was already past that truma. Yes, she still had some PTSD symptoms but she was better. She was confident and out of her shell. It took her 3 weeks to atleast try to comb her hair and dress up decently. It took her another couple weeks to gather guts to ask the maid about Sidharth. Technically her sessions were supposed to be over but Dr. Ayesha had called her over.
She was snapped out of her thoughts by Dr. Ayesha, her psychiatrist calling her name.
"Sana? Today we are going to talk about a topic you have always avoided." she smiled.
"Avoided? Wh... What do you mean Ayesha?"
"Your marriage, your husband. The man you never talk about but miss the most."
"I... I dont miss him" she dont know what came over her to lie. She definitely missed him but the bruise of the hurt still gave her pain.
"I am a psychiatrist, I can read your mind by now. I can see him in your eyes. You need him, you want him. You crave for him."
"He... I lost my kids because of him. I... I cant." she trembled.
"Sana... Close your eyes. Today you will think about the incident. You will bring him in front of your eyes. You will think about him. I want your brain to give you this answer not me."
"Ayesha I know the asnwer... Unfirtunately, I dont want to acknowledge that." she breathed shallow.
She closed her eyes thinking about the dreadful times.
In front of her came Sidharth. Images of him massaging her feet, of him loving her, being scared of her. She remembered him hugging her in the hospital while breaking the news, she remembered him waiting outside the room for hours to talk to her. Suddenly she was taken back to the time Sidharth hugged her by the stomach and talked to the baby.
Flashback
"Teri mumma toh sogayi princess. Aaj tu dadda se baat karle. I love you princess, I will give you everything you deserve. You will live like a princess. I dont know, but I have a feeling that you are a girl. Come soon" Sidharth kissed her stomach caressing it.
"He loved her! He loved the baby! Ayesha, Sidharth loved the baby too... I was so wrong!" she cried.
"You were not wrong Sana. Nothing is over. He has been waiting for you." she patted her hand.
She did her normal regular question answer session to analyse her. Sana was more than fine after her realisation.
She came out of the hospital,
Yes she looked fine but deep inside she was dying! Dying of guilt. She was dying.
She reached home quick. She called her maid which was now changed from 24 hours to whenever needed. She told her to help her out.
"Ye letter hai, ye Si... *gulp* Sidharth ko dena hai. Deke aayegi?" the maid nodded vigorously happy. Sidharth stayed just 30 minutes at their second small apartment.
Saying that sidharth felt like heavens opened theur gares for him wouldnt be a overstatement. He felt like he had won, finally.
Sidharth,
Aaj tera naam likhte hue bhi mujhe sharam aarahi hai. Maine bohot dil dukhaya hai na tera? Shadi karte vakt bohot bade bade vaade kiye the maine, ek bhi nahi nibha payi.
Sidharth you deserve better. Mere jaisi selfish aur banjh (a person who doesnt get a child) aurat tujhe deserve hi nahi karti. Maine bass teri zindagi kharab kari hai, humesha. Mai tujhe face nahi kar sakti... Mai sharminda hu. Mujhe aaj bhi iss gharme humari yaadein pareshan karti hai. Mai tujhe aur jyada pareshan nahi kar sakti.
Mai jaa rahi hu Sidharth. Kahi door, mere hone ki vajah firr dhundne. Kyuki mere yaha hone tak tu aage nahi badh sakta aur mai chahti hu tu aage badhe. Fikar mat kar, marungi nahi. Aakhri baat, I have and I will always love you.
Sidharth laughed at how his life changed from heavens to hell. She was his life, how can he move ahead in his life? How did dhe not know that he regrets. He regrets his actions.
How he wished he never coaxed her into the abortion. Her face while going in the operation still haunts him. Why did he not let the child be? It was his child. How heartless could he be? To crush the dreams of his wife and kill the baby. She was not wrong, he did kill her... Their baby. Both of them. Her miscarriage was the result of abortion. But he regrets doesnt he?
He ran towards their house where she was staying. But it was empty. There were no traces of sana, all her belongings were taken away. There was nothing.
He saw a well folded shawl on the dinner table.
Mujhe pata tha tu yaha zaroor aayega, ziddi joh hai tu. Ye meri shawl hai, tere liye. Bye.
Teri Shehnaaz.
"Tu mujhe Ziddi aise hi nahi kehti. Mai tujhe dhundke rahunga Sana. SidNaaz ko koi alag nahi kar sakta" he said determined.
To be continued!
