"Eh?"Both the parents and Alaister were startled. They turned back only to see a very short old woman radiating a soul piercing cold aura grinning disdainfully at them. That look made Alaister's legs tremble.

"Are you the new little puppy who got assigned at our academy, the Northern Dead Ice Academy?"The woman asked in a mocking tone.

Alaister blanked for a moment and then replied with a determined face "Yes!".

"Good then, I am the teacher who was sent to receive you. That being said, we should leave now. You may want to say goodbye to your parents as the next time you will see them will not be in the near future." After that she watched as the family said their farewells. Both the parents were continuously advising Alaister on what he should do and should not do. As they were reminding him to be careful at all times their tears couldn't be held back anymore and they started crying. 

They embraced their child once more before watching with teary eyes how their only treasure moved farther away from them, reaching the old woman's side.

"Let's set off then." As she said that she suddenly waved her hand and a blue glow started radiating off her before condensing into a crystal like mirror which floated in the air.

"Ah!" Alaister screamed as the woman suddenly grabbed him by the hand and threw him on the mirror like he was just a sand bag. Hard to think that such a small old woman can have such strength.

Both of them got on the ice cold mirror and after it glowed a bit it started flying at great speed towards the horizon.

Only the still childish voice of Alaister could still be heard going farther away"Mom, dad, wait for me! I will definitely come back safely and I will make sure that you will never have to worry about anything again!"After that they could no longer be seen. The only ones left there were the still crying parents which could not take their eyes away from the direction their child flew towards.

As they were beginning to fly at high speed the high air pressure almost kicked Alaister off the flying mirror. As he was about to fall a blue glow suddenly spread out from the woman and enveloped him protecting him and not allowing him to fall.

After a few hours of flying they had reached the Northern Planes.

The planet they were on was called King 7. Millennia have passed since The Great War which devastated the human race, and now humanity managed to extend once more to other planets and solar systems. The planets they colonized were named correspondingly with the level of power existing on it. As such there were 5 ranks: Colony-which are the planets where human civilizations are still in the stage of developing and which hold little military power and there are almost no places for training in laws, Soldier- planets in which the human civilization has consolidated and had several spaceships protecting it and also at least a Soul Fusion human expert assuming command in an academy, General- greatly strengthened human settlement with advanced technology and at least a Law Severing expert ,King- already fully controlled by humanity with superior technology and a human who reached Resonance protecting it, and lastly Emperor- there are only 5 planets which hold this name and they signify the apex of the current humanity, their technology even surpassing the time before The Great War, with each of the five being protected by a human who reached the Child Of Law stage. These five people are part of The 6 Great Human Gods as they are called by the ordinary people, and indeed, in the common's people eyes, their power is similar to a god's. 

The Sixth Human God, Saidion, the number one most powerful human in history and the most ancient of them, reaching an age of a few thousand years, has a more complicated story. He is considered to be a traitor of the human race because strangely he was found working with a Magiah, both conducting still unknown experiments on many human children. This has greatly alarmed the other human experts because not only they have found an actual Magiah living inside the human civilization but they have also received an enormous blow as they realized that the most powerful of their race was actually colluding with their greatest enemy.

Saidion encountered the attack of all the other Human Gods but he was after all too strong and managed to escape to an unknown place and he was never seen again. People still believe he is alive given his level of power, some even thinking that he has gone to the Magiah race.

This event has alerted all humans, and greatly enhanced security measures and tests were put in place everywhere. What followed were even more alarming news. Humans have discovered 385 other Magiah hiding in their planets and settlements. As the human race didn't even know where the Magiah went, suddenly finding so many spies in their home came down on them like a thunderbolt. A multitude of screenings and investigations were put in place everywhere the human race existed, hoping that this will at least ensure that no Magiah will enter their territory without them finding out. 

After this event the humans became even more strict with their training as such giving birth to many new human experts, the research facilities received massive funds from every existing society and company, new breakthroughs in technology being made continuously. 

Indeed, when an entire race has a common goal and are truly working together trying to achieve it then the impossible slowly becomes possible. Even though there were no new Human Gods added to the list in the last few hundred years, many people reached the peak of Resonance and the number of powerful destructive war weapons that were created in this time reached a terrifying number. The human race was ready to make war at any time if the situation demands it.

Coming back to the planet where Alaister lives, King 7, which is located in a quite big solar system. It is divided in 5 great regions: the Northern Icy Planes, the Eastern Desert, the Southern Islands, the Western Forests and the Central Territory. Alaister's village is situated in the north part of the Central Territory near the border with the Northern Icy planes.

As Alaister and the old woman were approaching the academy, the temperature started to drop very fast. Luckily Alaister was protected by the woman's power, otherwise he might have been frozen by now. After another few hours, an enormous ice palace appeared in the distance. A thick cold aura enveloped the surroundings of the palace, making any kind of ordinary life impossible to survive here. The palace looked truly majestic, as the crystal-like structure which was shining brightly gave people a sense of great strength.

"Oaaah...."Alaister was left perplexed. This building was even grander than the World Law Pagoda he saw when he took the test. He didn't get to say anything else as a soul piercing chill suddenly spread in his body. His face suddenly became as white as a paper and he almost lost consciousness by the pain brought by the cold.

"This won't do..." The old woman expression was indifferent as a small blue glowing ball came out of her forehead and flew directly into Alaister's chest. When the ball entered Alaister's chest he instantly felt something absorbing all the cold that invaded his body. 

His face regained color as he looked gratefully at the woman while thinking to himself"This is what controlling a law is like...this thing on which we are, the glowing light around me and now this thing that can even absorb coldness..."Alaister didn't know that this moment was a very significant one in his life, it was this exact moment in which a desire flared up inside him, a desire for power, a desire for understanding, but more important, a desire to improve himself.Even though he still didn't realize this, his personality has already begun it's tremendous change.
