(Y/N POV)

I'm at my locker, making sure that I have everything I need for the initiation. I already have my sword sheathed on my back, and the only things I need from my locker is MP3 player, and my earbuds.

Y/N: No way I'm losing you two.

I said this as I grabbed them and placed them inside my pocket.

As I turned around, I saw a guy with a Chinese suit with pink highlights on his hair, along with a ginger girl with a pink skirt.

What caught my attention was that the ginger girl is super hyperactive. And there I saw Ruby and Yang, also getting ready for the initiation.

Y/N: Morning!

Ruby *Cheerfully* Morning!  

Yang: Morning~

The Chinese Guy heads out while the Ginger Girl follows him, passing us.

Ruby: Wonder what those two are so worked up about?

Yang: Oh, who knows? So, you seem awfully chipper this morning!

Ruby: Yep! No more awkward small talk or "getting-to-know-you" stuff. Today, I get to let my sweetheart do the talking.

Ruby strokes Crescent Rose as she sighs happily.

Y/N: Well, remember, Ruby, you're not the only one going through initiation.

Yang: Yeah, I mean, if you wanna grow up, you're gonna have to meet new people and learn to work together.

Ruby sighs in frustration.

Ruby: You sound like Dad!

She then shoves her weapon into her locker.

Ruby: Okay, first of all: What does meeting new people have to do with fighting? And secondly: I don't need people to help me grow up! I drink milk!

Y/N: (She needs some more milk!) (Sorry I had to do it)

Yang: But what about when we form teams?

Ruby then suddenly becomes nervous.

Ruby: Um, I don't know, I... I'll be on your team or Y/N's or something...

Yang then brings her hair around her shoulder and stroking it. 

Yang: Maybe you should try being on someone else's team?

Ruby: My dear sister Yang, are you implying that you do not wish to be on the same team as me?

Yang: What? No! Of course not! I do! I just thought... I don't know, maybe it would help you... break out of your shell!

Ruby: What the-?! I don't need to "break out of my shell!" That's absolutely-

Jaune: Ridiculous!

Jaune suddenly walking in between us, holding a map and looking for his locker.

Jaune: There's no way I put my gear in locker 636 yesterday! I would've remembered having to count that high! Why does this have to happen today?

After noticing Jaune's little problem, I went to the washroom to freshen up, leaving the two sisters to argue.

(3RD POV)

After washing my hands, an announcement plays on the intercom system.

Glynda (voice only): Would all first-year students please report to Beacon Cliff for initiation? Again, all first-year students to Beacon Cliff immediately.

(Time Skip) 

(Y/N POV)

After freshening up in the washroom, I see Jaune hanging from the wall with a spear jammed in his hood. Weiss passes Jaune as the Greek Girl follows her, grabbing her spear dropping Jaune to the ground.

Greek Girl: It was nice meeting you! 

Jaune: (slumping against the locker) Likewise...

I walked up to Jaune.

Y/N: Having some trouble there, lady-killer?

Jaune: *Sigh* You have no idea....

Yang and Ruby approached me and Jaune.

Ruby: Y/N, there you are, we've been looking all over for you.

Yang: Yeah, where did you go?

Y/N: To the restroom.

Ruby: OK, I don't want to know.

Yang: I do~

Ruby's face have gotten red because of what Yang said, especially mine.

Y/N: *Ahem*.... Uhhhhh Yeah....

The sisters then noticed Jaune.

Yang: What's up with him?

Y/N: Girl problems.

Jaune: I don't understand. My dad said all women look for is confidence! Where did I go wrong?

Jaune accepts Ruby's offered hand and uses it to lift himself up to his feet.

Y/N: "Snow Angle" probably wasn't the best start, dude.

Ruby: Come on, Jaune, let's go.

Ruby leads Jaune out of the locker room by supporting him and his damaged self-esteem, leaving with just me and Yang.

Y/N: Hang in there, buddy!

I said to the fallen knight. Then out of the blue, Yang starts a conversation with me.

Yang: Y/N.....

Y/N: Yeah?

Yang: Are you...... feeling alright?

Y/N: What do you mean?

Yang: Well......

Y/N: Was it because of last night?

Yang: ...!

Y/N: You don't have to hide it Yang, I know you and Ruby were spying on me.

Yang: Wha-..... but....how did you know?

Y/N: Wasn't it obvious?

Yang: We were literally 30 ft away from you.

Y/N: Really?

Yang: Yeah!

Y/N: Huh....

I then started to walk away, but Yang catches up to me, with a confused look.

Yang: So.... are you?

Y/N: *chuckle* You don't have to worry, Yang, I'm fine.

Yang: Well, if there is something bothering you, you know you have me and Ruby to talk to, right?

Y/N: I'll keep that in mind.

Yang then changes the topic.

Yang: So, who's gonna be on your team?

Y/N: No idea, but there is a rumor that whoever you meet first during the initiation will be your partner for the next 4 years.

Yang: Well... if that's the case.

Yang then wraps her arms around mine, causing both of us to blush.

Yang: I hope you take good care of me!

She said with a smile.

Y/N: Uhhh...*chuckle* ....yeah, sure.

She giggles, as I scratch the back of my head.

(Time Skip)

We're all at Beacon Cliff, overlooking a forest, where several students -- some old, some new, and some unseen -- are standing on silver tiles in front of a mug-holding Professor Ozpin and Glynda with her tablet.

Ozpin: For years, you have trained to become warriors, and today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest.

Glynda: Now, I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of "teams." Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates... today.

Y/N: (Called it!)

I overheard Ruby.

Ruby: What? Ohhh...

Ozpin: These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon. So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well with.

Ruby: (groaning)

Ozpin: That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years.

Ruby: Whaaaat?!

Y/N: (If only I could do this solo.)

Ozpin: After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path... or you will die.

Jaune laughs nervously and then gulps loudly.

Ozpin: You will be monitored and graded through the duration of your initiation, but our instructors will not intervene. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff. We will regard that item, as well as your standing, and grade you appropriately. Are there any questions?

Jaune raising his hand.

Ozpin: Good! Now, take your positions.

Everyone strikes a pose on their tile, as I did the same.

Jaune: Uh, sir? I've got, um... a question. So, this landing... strategy thing... Uh, wha-what is it? You're, like, dropping us off or something?

Ozpin: No. You will be falling.

Jaune: (missing more students being thrown) Oh, uh, I see... So, like, did you hand out parachutes for us?

Ozpin: No. You will be using your own "landing strategy."

Jaune: (still not seeing an excited Ginger Girl and Chinese Guy getting launched) Uh-huh... Yeah.

At her turn, Yang winks at her younger sister, puts on a pair of aviators, and flies off with a:

Yang: Woo-hoooooooo!

A second before Ruby joins her.

He asks this part just when he finally has to get hurled with the cloud of the students now making their way down into the forest, 5 seconds later I didn't get hurled over.

Y/N: What about me?

Ozpin approached me.

Ozpin: Y/N, do you think that this mission is too easy for?

Y/N: Well, let's see.

I count the steps on my fingers.

Y/N: Get inside the forest, find the artifact, return with the artifact, and in the current situation that I'm in now.....

I unsheathe my sword and revealing to Ozpin and Glynda my powers, by flowing electricity into my blade.

Y/N: Probably, yeah....

Ozpin: Which is why I'm assigning you a different task.

Y/N: And what is that?

Ozpin: The temple I just mentioned, the artifacts are there, correct?

Y/N: Yeah....

Ozpin: All of the artifacts are shown, except for one.

Y/N: And you wan me to find the hidden artifact?

Ozpin nodded with a smile.

Y/N: A bit challengi-

Ozpin: And I want you to ensure that everyone comes back alive.

Y/N: ...... This is just telling me to find a partner, isn't it?

Ozpin: Maybe.

Y/N: *BIG SIGH* .......*GROAN* .......Fine!

Ozpin smiles then sips his stupid mug, then walks away.

Y/N: Let's do this.

I put on my metal mask, and then I was hurled into the clouds now making my way into the forest below.

(Ozpin POV)

Glynda: You were right. He does resemble F/N.

Glynda smiled.

Ozpin: Very much like him.
