"you need to stay out of it. there is nothing happening." Ironhide hissed. Will came back with the keys.

"here, whats up?" Will ask, handing them to him.

"I forgot something in the truck." Ironhide said heading outside. Will watched him go and went back to making some coffee. he felt something rub against his leg.

"oh hey Clank." Will smiled.

"Clank?" Optimus ask.

"oh yeah. thats what I decided to call him. Ratchet and Clank is a video game and since he likes Ratchet, I thought I'd call him Clank." Will shrugged. Clank mewed. "I know you're hungry." Will said getting him some breakfast. Clank dug in immediately. Will got himself some coffee and sat down with Optimus. "what were you talking about?" he ask. Optimus frowned slightly.

"never mind Will. I won't worry you with it." Optimus said. Will nodded slightly, looking confused. Ironhide walked in and headed back upstairs.

"uh... okay." Will said. he sipped his coffee and headed back upstairs. Ironhide was working on taking the doors off. Will walked over and looked at the frames. "I'll have to work on the door frame." Will said.

"I'll replace it." Ironhide said.

"I'm not worried about it." Will said, helping him. "you did it to help me." Will shrugged. Ironhide nodded and took down the bathroom door, taking apart part of the frame. Will took apart the bedroom door frame. he looked at the bathroom. "where's the toilet tank lid?" Will ask.

"in the trash. I broke it over Barricade's head. I'll replace it." Ironhide grumbled. Will shrugged.

"he deserved it. it's fine." Will shrugged. "they're pretty cheap. I can get another." Will said.

"Wheeljack said he could fix the doors." Ironhide said.

"I can just make a trip to the local home improvement store. I can buy the stuff." Will shrugged. Ironhide nodded slightly.

"I can go with you." Ironhide said.

"sounds good." Will smiled. he got up from the floor and Ironhide kissed him, walking passed him. Will smiled and grabbed his arm pulling him back to him. Ironhide gave an amused smirk and kissed him again. "you don't just have to kiss me and walk away." Will said. Ironhide shrugged, putting a hand on each side of Wills head.

"well I don't know what you want. I'm not very affectionate." Ironhide huffed. Will chuckled slightly at him.

"well I mean if you don't want to kiss me, you're more than welcome to just walk off." Will said. Ironhide shrugged and leaned down, kissing him. Will smiled and wrapped his arms around his neck, pulling him closer. after a minute Ironhide pulled back.

"you are getting off topic of the doors." Ironhide said. Will rolled his eye's and sighed.

"same ol' Hide. can only focus on one thing at a time." Will said amusedly, grabbing some of the stuff from the floor and heading downstairs.

"hey! and just what does that mean?" Ironhide glared, grabbing the rest of it and following him. he followed Will outside, still questioning him as Will set up everything to burn it. "you still haven't answered me." Ironhide glared.

"it means you can only focus on one thing at a time." Will said, tossing the stuff into a pile. Ironhide tossed his stuff on the pile and gave Will a dirty look.

"and just what are you implying Will?" Ironhide hissed.

"me? oh nothing." Will replied, starting up the fire. he watched the wood burn, not looking at the angry guardian who was staring him down. "pretty sure I'm not implying anything, since I flat out said it to you." Will said, looking at him. Ironhide glared at him.

"and what exactly is it you wanted me to focus on?" Ironhide glared. Will justed looked back to the fire.

"either figure it out or brush it off." Will said, walking back inside. Ironhide followed him after a moment.

"what is there to figure out? just tell me what you mean." Ironhide huffed, following him back up the stairs. Optimus, Jazz, and Ratchet all watched them curiously from the couch.

"I told you figure it out. learn to focus." Will said. Ironhide follows him into the bedroom. he pinned Will against the wall, staring him down, arms pinned carefully.

"talk." Ironhide hissed.

"learn to focus." Will said. Ironhide stared at him clearly annoyed.

"what is it you wanted?" Ironhide ask, narrowing his eye's at him. Will shrugged at him and smiled. Ironhide watched him a moment before it silently dawned on him. Will wanted him to focus, focus on Will. Will didn't like that he had gotten distracted by what they had previously been doing, instead of continuing to focus on Will. he shook his head and stared at him. "you humans are complicated." Ironhide smirked. Will raised an eye brow, looking at him.

"what?" Will ask. he leaned down, closer to Will's face and grinned at him.

"focus huh?" Ironhide ask, kissing him. Will kissed back but was slightly confused, maybe Ironhide was trying to figure out what he meant. he pulled back and watched his guardian. "you should be more specific on where you want my focus Will. I can focus on many things at the same time, but if you want my focus on you instead of something else, you should be more specific. I'm good a focusing, but I'm not a mind reader. I can't scan you. I can't read you. I'm trying but you have to give me a little wiggle room here to work with." Ironhide said. Will chuckled at him.

"well I figured you were smart enough to eventually figure it out." Will smiled. Ironhide kissed him deeply and Will smiled into the kiss, intertwining their fingers as he kissed back. he sighed happily through his nose.

"uh..."

immediately the two broke apart and looked over at the doorway, Bumblebee was standing there.

"can we help you?" Ironhide ask.

"I wanted to know what was up with the fire in the backyard..." Bumblebee said. "but I see you're busy." Bumblebee added leaving quickly. Will blinked at where he stood then looked at Ironhide when he pulled back.

"younglin's got a big mouth." Ironhide said, chasing after him. "Bumblebee! keep your mouth shut!" Ironhide hissed. Will watched him go and laughed slightly. he got dressed and grabbed his keys, heading downstairs to leave. Ironhide had Bumblebee pinned to the hood, arms behind his back, digging the scouts face into the hood. "you keep your mouth shut!" Ironhide hissed.

"I was only gonna tell Sam!" Bumblebee said.

"you're not telling anyone! I said hush!" Ironhide growled. "you know we could both get in serious trouble. so keep it shut Bumblebee." Ironhide hissed. Bumblebee wiggled and squirmed.

"okay! okay! I won't tell a soul! get off! you're breaking my arm!" Bumblebee cried. Ironhide let go and stepped back. the scout glared and pouted at him, heading inside the garage.

"you have to be so rough with him?" Will ask, getting into the truck. Ironhide got in as well.

"I don't think you understand Will. I could lose my job as your guardian. we could both get in serious trouble." Ironhide said. Will looked confused.

"but Bumblebee and Sam-" Will started.

"Bumblebee isn't technically Sam's guardian anymore. he lost that rank, but no one talks about it because he's still Sam's guardian to everyone else even if the ranks don't show it." Ironhide said. "they tried to assign him a different guardian Will. they tried to reassign Bumblebee somewhere else, Sam was able to argue that. you're military. they'd reassign us both to different things and we'd probably never see each other again." Ironhide explained. Will frowned slightly as he thought about it.

"oh... I didn't know that." Will said. Ironhide nodded.

"I trust Prime with my life, but he's... over the top." Ironhide said. Will nodded and backed out of the driveway.

"I get it. I'd hate for you to lose your rank and I'd really hate to never see you again. we don't have to keep doing this, whatever it is, we've been doing." Will said as he drove.

"oh I don't care. we just have to be careful and not get caught." Ironhide said. Will smiled slightly.

"well if you're willing to risk it." Will said. Ironhide nodded at him and they headed for the store.

*later*

after about two hours, they returned home and put the doors and their frames back together. Will smiled and tested the doors and locks.

"great." Will smiled at Ironhide. "they look good and they work. thanks Hide." Will smiled. Ironhide nodded. there was a knock on the door and Will opened it. "Bee?" Will ask. he looked guilty and ashamed.

"I gotta talk to Hide..." Bumblebee said. Will nodded and let him in, leaving the room. Will headed down stairs. Sam was on the couch.

"hey whats Bumblebee so upset about?" Will ask. Sam looked away.

"uh, Ironhide can explain later." Sam said. "nothing too bad." Sam added. Will raised an eye brow, but nodded. it was about two hours before Bumblebee came down and quickly grabbed Sam leaving. Ironhide stormed down the stairs, shoving Will out of the way.

"uh Hide?" Will ask.

"get out of the way." Ironhide growled. Will moved quickly, he hadn't seen Ironhide this angry in a long time. shouting drew him out to the garage where Ironhide was berating Optimus angrily. "you lied to me! you had Bumblebee lie to me!" Ironhide hissed.

"I didn't lie it was to-" Optimus said.

"do not lie to me again!" Ironhide hissed. Optimus closed his mouth. "you lied to me Prime! you said Bumblebee lost his rank!" Ironhide growled. Will seemed to realize what was happening.

"he lied? you lied Optimus?" Will ask. Optimus sighed. Will went to talk to Bumblebee and Sam, he needed answers.

"Bumblebee, whats Ironhide talking about?" Will ask. Bumblebee sighed.

"Optimus told me I had to lie. he didn't want anymore of his soldiers falling for humans. he's afraid it'll distract us. so he told everyone he stripped me of my rank and that I wasn't technically Sam's guardian anymore... he was afraid... I guess... I... when I saw what was going on earlier... I was gonna tell Sam cause I felt guilty about lying. Sam's the only other one who knew, but Ironhide caught me trying to ask Sam what I should do and he got pissed." Bumblebee said. Will sighed.

"so he won't be removed as my guardian?" Will ask. Bumblebee shook his head. "then what was the whole point of that?" Will growled. Bumblebee shrugged.

"I don't know. I just followed orders." Bumblebee said. Will headed back down to talk to Ironhide and Optimus, only to find the Prime sitting on his ass, holding his nose. Ironhide turned and stomped off. Will followed him quickly, trailing him up the stairs.

"Hide?" Will ask. Ironhide looked over at him watching Will close the door. Will raised his eye brows at the glare his guardian sent him. "what happened?" Will ask.

"he lied to cover his own ass." Ironhide hissed. Will looked confused and let his guardian explain. Will stared at him a moment.

"so... you won't get in trouble and lose rank just for this thing?" Will ask motioning between them. Ironhide shook his head. Will broke out in a grin. "well thats all you had to tell me." he smirked tackling his guardian onto the bed to kiss him. Ironhide went down, surprised, and wrapped his arms around him happily. he pulled back after a moment. "Bumblebee and Sam agreed to keep their mouths shut." Will said.

"eh, I'm sure Prime will." Ironhide grumbled, pulling Will back down as the man tried to get off him. Will laughed slightly and let himself be held down. Ironhide watched him a moment, his gaze drifting to Wills neck and he reached up to rub the handprint on his neck. Will winced slightly and quickly grabbed the hand, intertwining their fingers, and pinning the hand to the bed.

"don't touch my neck." Will said. Ironhide frowned slightly.

"it hurts?" Ironhide ask.

"yeah, only when you touch it." Will said, quickly grabbing and doing the same with Ironhides other hand as it reached up to touch his neck. "I said don't touch it." Will said. Ironhide smirked at him.
