Will and Sam stared at the group of men. there was five of them.

"what happened?" Sam ask.

"Wheeljack." Ratchet grumbled.

"they're not holoforms you can just shut them off?" Sam ask.

"our Cybertronian bodies are just gone. this is it." Bumblebee said.

"Wheeljack is working on it." Ratchet grumbled, shooting the inventor a dirty look. he hadn't been changed like the rest of them. Wheeljack stood in his normal form and gave his bonded a sheepish look.

"sorry Ratch." he mumbled.

"well... thats okay! come on Bee, lets go get some food." Sam smiled. the teen smiled and followed him to borrow a car from the hanger.

"thanks Sam." he smiled. Will stared at his guardian, who looked exactly like his holoform. the same as everyone else. they had already stated they'd be staying on the human side of the base, but Will was debating. Will nodded for Ironhide to follow him to the hanger.

"c'mon, we can probably sign out the same truck from the hanger for a few days." Will said. Ironhide seemed slightly relieved and followed him. "you three wanna come?" Will ask.

"no we'll stay on base. go on." Optimus said. Will nodded and headed lead the way to the hanger.

"thank you." Ironhide grumbled.

"can't just leave you here. you wouldn't do that to me." Will smiled. Ironhide smiled back. Will signed out the truck. he threw his bags into the back seat then climbed into the driver seat. Ironhide frowned at him but climbed in. "don't give me that look. you have no idea how to drive a real car." Will said. Ironhide huffed at him, but buckled up. "how long have you guys been like this?" Will ask.

"all night." Ironhide said.

"want some lunch?" Will ask. Ironhide shrugged slightly, looking annoyed. "alright." Will said. he drove to the nearest town and parked at a restaurant. "come on. lets go in and eat." Will said. he shut the truck off and hopped out. Ironhide followed him out. "you're being awful quiet." Will frowned.

"I feel bare. no scanners, no sensors, no cannons, no guns. I feel bare." Ironhide mumbled. Will paused a moment and knelt, pulling up his pants leg. he pulled the knife sheath off his ankle and handed it to Ironhide.

"here. its not a gun, but it's better than nothing right?" Will ask. Ironhide looked at him a moment, before taking the knife and putting it on his own leg.

"thanks I guess." he said.

"don't worry. you know I have guns at home." Will chuckled, heading inside. Ironhide followed him. they ate lunch and headed back out on the road. they hadn't been on the road long when Will realized Ironhide was asleep in the passenger seat. Will chuckled, it didn't really surprise him. he drove them home and parked in the driveway, not in the garage. the garage was Ironhide's area only. he grabbed his bags and took them inside before coming back out. he opened the passenger side door. "hey Hide. we're home." Will said shaking him. the weapons specialist immediately jerked awake. "sorry Hide, but we're home." Will said. Ironhide nodded and got out of the truck, closing the door. he mumbled quietly.

"sorry." he muttered.

"go on to the guest room and lay down." Will said. Ironhide just headed up stairs silently and Will smiled slightly, but noticed Ironhide walking into his room. Will rolled his eye's and headed upstairs, he needed a shower anyway. Ironhide was going through his closet. "looking for something?" Will ask.

"hoping to find something more comfortable to sleep in." Ironhide mumbled.

"try the dresser. I keep my pj's in there. I'm gonna get a shower." Will said walking into the bathroom. Ironhide went over to the dresser and found himself some clothes. Will honestly didn't care, he'd been in the military enough that it just didn't bother him. he took a quick shower and go out. he walked out, with only a towel around his waist. Ironhide was admiring himself, completely naked, in the full body mirror on the back of Will's bedroom door. Will shrugged and pulled the towel off, drying his hair as he looked for a pair of boxers. Ironhide turned around to look at him, looking him over. "are you okay?" Will ask, turning around as he pulled up his boxers.

"I'm fine why?" Ironhide ask.

"you're staring at my naked ass." Will said sounding amused.

"it's just unusual. everything feels weird and looks different. even you." Ironhide said. Will raised an eye brow.

"how?" Will ask.

"human eyes are less developed than our optics." Ironhide said. Will nodded and yawned slightly, heading to lay in his bed. Ironhide pulled on a pair of sweat pants and paused.

"you okay?" Will ask.

"human hearing is far less than ours, but I think I hear someone walking up to the door." Ironhide said. Will raised an eye brow and got out of bed.

"I don't hear any-" Will started, but he heard a loud knock outside. "oh." he mumbled. he headed down the stairs, Ironhide stood silently at the top of the stairs. Will opened the door. "Sarah?" Will ask.

"hey. I know I didn't call or anything first, but Annabel is at my moms and I've been on the road for forever." Sarah said. Will nodded moving to let her in. "I said hi to Ironhide, it's odd he's parked in the driveway. he didn't say anything back. is he pissed?" Sarah ask.

"thats not Ironhide. Wheeljack fucked them up." Will said closing the door. Sarah paused looking up at the man at the top of the stairs. his piercing blue eye's stare her down.

"uh Will..." Sarah said.

"thats Ironhide. relax. you can stay in the guest room. he can sleep in my bed and I'll sleep on the couch." Will said.

"you can sleep in the bed. not like you haven't slept in my backseat a million times. it's fine." Ironhide said. Will shrugged slightly.

"okay." Will said, heading up the stairs. Sarah headed to bed silently. Will headed to bed. he laid down and curled up and Ironhide walked over, laying on the other side of the bed.

"stay over there." Ironhide grumbled. Will laughed slightly.

"I'll stay over here if you stay over there you jerk." Will said. Ironhide huffed and put his back to Will, falling asleep.

*next morning*

"Ironhide." a voice called. the soldier shifted and grumbled. "hey Ironhide." the voice said again. Ironhide slowly registered it was Will.

"Will?" Ironhide muttered, sounding confused.

"yeah it's me. let go." Will said.

"huh?" Ironhide muttered, opening his eye's. he was confused, but seemed to remember what was happening. he looked at Will and scoffed, letting him go and sitting up. "I told you to stay over there." Ironhide hissed.

"I tried bed hog! we had to swap sides of the bed because you kept cuddling and squirming." Will huffed.

"I did not." Ironhide huffed, but he could feel his face heating up. Will either didn't see it, or didn't care to say anything about it, but Ironhide was sure his face was probably red or a light shade of pink. he'd seen Will's face do it a few times. Will grabbed a pair of sweat pants and got up. he headed down stairs to the kitchen. Ironhide followed him, nearly bumping into Sarah.

"oh. hi Ironhide." she smiled, slightly. Ironhide blinked tiredly at her and she laughed. the poor man was used to waking up ready to go as an Autobot. "come on, I'm sure Will has coffee and you look like you could use a cup." she chuckled and headed down stairs. Ironhide didn't immediately follow.

"morning Sarah. coffee's making and I'm gonna start breakfast soon." Will said.

"he's hot." Sarah said. Will looked confused.

"huh?" he ask.

"Ironhide. he's hot like this." Sarah said. Will shrugged slightly.

"gee Sarah just go sleep with him then." Will muttered. Sarah huffed. "aren't you dating someone?" Will ask.

"not anymore. he left." Sarah mumbled.

"oh sorry." Will said. Ironhide wondered into the kitchen, looking things over.

"hasn't he been in the house before? with his holoform thing you said he had?" Sarah ask.

"he says everything looks different." Will said. Ironhide looked sluggish and tired so Will handed him a cup of coffee. the man looked down at it then at Will. "coffee." Will said. Ironhide nodded slightly. Will chuckled at his guardian. "go sit down and wake up a little more." Will said. Ironhide nodded again and headed to the living room to sit.

"I didn't think he could be adorable but he looks so tired and cuddley." Sarah giggled.

"first of all, careful, he can probably hear you. second of all, you would not say that had you been the one to share a bed with him last night. I feel like I've been run over by a truck he squeezed me so tight." Will grumbled, rubbed his back. Sarah laughed at him and shook her head, drinking her coffee. "he'll wake up in a bit and be the Ironhide you're used to again." Will shrugged. he looked up and saw Ironhide staring at him, the man looked at the back of Sarah's head with a dirty look then back to Will. Will gave him a slightly dirty look. Sarah turned and Ironhide turned away quickly.

"well, I should get going." Sarah said.

"won't stay for breakfast?" Will ask.

"no, but thanks." Sarah smiled and left. Will shrugged and made him and Ironhide some breakfast. he brought both plates over to the couch and sat down beside him. he gave Ironhide a plate of food.

"thanks." Ironhide grumbled. Will nodded and ate, but he felt eyes on him. Ironhide was staring at him again. he ignored it and ate, despite feeling nervous. there was a knock on the door and Will felt almost relieved.

"it open." Will called. Bumblebee and Sam walked in.

"hey we saw Sarah leaving. what was she doing here?" Sam ask.

"she stayed over last night. she was driving back from her moms." Will said. "oh and flirting with Ironhide. she called him hot." Will rolled his eye's and Ironhide shot him a dirty look.

"do you want to wear that coffee?" Ironhide hissed. Will laughed and shook his head.

"whats up guys?" Will ask. Sam shrugged.

"just came to check on you guys." Bumblebee said.

"come on in, there's food on the stove." Will said, scooting over towards Ironhide to make room for the other two on the couch.

"thanks Will." Sam smiled heading for the kitchen. Bumblebee sat on the couch, looking at Ironhide. Ironhide seemed slightly uncomfortable.

"you okay Hide?" Will ask.

"no. you're sitting on me." Ironhide grumbled.

"I am not. I'm just making room for Sam and Bumblebee. you'll be fine. I literally sit in your front seat all the time." Will rolled his eye's, but moved off him some. it was odd to see Ironhide so uncomfortable, but he hadn't used his holoform much. Sam came back and sat on the couch with them.

"so what are you guys going to do today?" Bumblebee ask.

"well I was supposed to give Ironhide a wash today, but since thats not going to happen, I have no idea." Will shrugged.

"shooting range." Ironhide muttered. Will looks over and nods.

"he wants to go shooting. what are you two doing?" Will ask.

"Bumblebee wants to go to the fair." Sam said. Will nodded.

"the what?" Ironhide ask.

"the fair. rollercoaster rides, shitty rigged games, cheap prizes, expensive crappy food. all that jazz." Will said.

"why?" Ironhide ask.

"its fun." Will shrugged. Ironhide heaved a slight sigh.

"did you want to go do that instead?" he ask. Will gave him a smile.

"nah, it's cool. it'll be here all week. I'll go tomorrow. I told you we'd go out on the range today." Will nodded. Ironhide didn't look reassured.

"are you sure?" Ironhide ask. Will knew that was Ironhide's way of saying it sounded stupid, but interesting and if Will wanted to go they would. Will shrugged.

"you could do both." Sam shrugged. "I mean you guys are just going to go out into Wills back yard and shoot anyway. shoot for a bit then get dressed and go to the fair." Sam said.

"that sounds like a plan. I'm going to go get my guns out." Will said heading for his room. he grabbed his guns and set everything up in the back yard. he heard Ironhide heading outside, shortly after Bumblebee and Sam left. "hey." Will grinned. Ironhide walked up and grabbed one of Wills pistols and started shooting at the targets. Will smiled and picked up another, firing his own at the targets. it was hot as hell outside and soon both were drenched in sweat. after a few hours, about four, of just shooting targets, they packed everything back up and headed back inside. Will pulled his shirt off and hung it on the railing out back. it was soaked with sweat. "know how to use a shower?" Will teased.

"yeah." Ironhide grumbled watching him more.

"go use the one down the hall. you can just borrow some of my clothes." Will said heading to the bathroom in his bedroom. Ironhide watched his charge go before slowly heading up the stairs. "and while you're at it, stop staring at me. it's getting a little weird." Will teased. he yelped suddenly getting slammed into the wall. he looked up at his guardian who was giving him a dirty look and was way too close in his personal space. Will pressed himself back against the wall staring at Ironhide. he narrowed his eye's holding Will against the wall angrily.
