----------------------------------------------
Carter and Dolan both love football. But that's where the similarities end. Carter is from dangerous Port Morris in New York, and Dolan is from the golden coast, California. Carter has five brothers. Dolan has one sister. Carter is an all A student. Dolan is depending on a football scholarship to get into college. Carter is a girl. And Dolan is a boy.
Carter is moving from New York to Sacramento California, and the only thing she's looking forward to is the football team. Bad news for her...the starting quarterback, son of the coach, team captain is Dolan. And he thinks girls can't play. She can't wait to show him wrong.

Carter's POV:
"Okay Dad, I got it. Oh, by the way, I'll be at football tryouts so I might miss dinner." I slung my gear over my shoulder and waved goodbye to my dad.
"You're sure you can handle it?" My dad was always worried about me bashing my skull in while playing with the boys. But there was no girls team and I had to play. I would go insane if I didn't.
"I'll be good, Dad! Geez." I smiled. I was grateful my dad supported my decision, though my mom on the other hand...
Walking out of the door to my brothers car, I quickly double checked my gear to make sure I had every thing. My dad had contacted coach before we moved to give him a heads up. Coach had agreed 100% to let me try out.
At least he thought girls could play.
My brother, Cris, ruffled my hair.
"You show those boys, Carter." He grinned. He played baseball, and he was serious about it. He even had a scholarship to University of Virginia. Pulling out of the drive way, I asked him if he was excited about our new school.
"I mean, yeah. I'm going to be at college next year, so I would have to leave my friends behind anyway." Cris smiled at me. We lived relatively close to school, but a busy intersection and highway forced us to drive instead of walk.
We pulled up to the front of the school and pulled around to the parking lot in the back.
"Well, good luck!" Cris called as he walked into the seniors part of the building. "Though I doubt you'll need it!"
