My friend has always been mysterious. He seemed to be a shadow clinging to the walls as if a breath will bring him out into the light. When light shines on him, he disappears. Normal, right? No. Well, not for him. When the light goes away, he doesn't come back. You can keep looking, hours, days, months, years... But it's hard to find a shadow. Especially when it doesn't want to come out of the darkness.

After Stoick listened to Hiccup crying, he walked down the stairs. He wanted to do something, but there wasn't anything he could. The village shipped of his son's dragon. If not sooner than later, but he understood the bond between them. They were one.

The next day when Stoick had woken up, he immediately heard the erie silence that plagued the house. Toothless would normally be jumping on the roof top, his son laughing, but today was different. He sighed and got up. Carefully skipping steps that would squeak underneath his weight, he painfully, slowly, made his way up to Hiccup's door.

He opened it a crack and peered in.

He flung the door open and walked into the center of the room. He walked in a circle seeing nothing out of place but the absence of the heir. He turned fully facing the closed door which he had thrown open. A piece of parchment was messily nailed to the door. He walked up to it and noticed the wrinkles in different areas. The fallen tears had dried on the paper.

Hey Dad.
Don't worry, I'm going to the cove for some  time alone
and to think. I'll be back home by sunset. Please don't
come looking for me, but if it's really important, I am
going to be in the cove. If  the teens come looking for
me, don't tell them where I am. Just tell them that I'll
see them tomorrow.

Hey guys!

So #1 is that the paragraph  that I wrote about the shadows and stuff, well I made that up. Fully from the depths of my mind that I didn't know was there, (actually I was thinking of Robin from Young Justice as in Batman's protege and Hiccup while writing this so...).

Sorry I have been inactive on this story but I will continue writing it! The maximum number of chapters are probably going to be 15, but I don't expect it to be that much. If you have ANY suggestions, tell me!
