Chapter Twenty Six
A couple days later, things were getting worse for our little bear friend. Lee has been worrying more and more, constantly on the edge and his anxiety levels were now threw the roof. He considered going to talk to the therapist at the Caring Cat Clinic but he didn't want anyone else to know about it.
Lee leaned over his bed from in his knees, he was trying everything he could to stay calm, he gripped the covers of his bed and panted, standing up. He thought he should tell Stampy about this, he knew Stampy would understand, but he was still scared for some reason. He knew he could discuss anything with him, but he just couldn't open up well about personal things. He sighs and just jumps down the ladder to Stampy's room.
"Stamps!" He called out desperately, searching the house. He finally found him and ran up, spilling everything. He completely broke down in front of him, barely able to get the right words. Stampy listened to him, pulling him into a hug when he was done spilling everything to him.
Lee hesitantly hugged him back.
"Lee Bear, it's okay. People get down and depressed all the time, it's glad you told me now, or this could've gotten more serious then it is now." Stampy explained. Lee nodded and looked up at him. Stampy sighed and smiled sadly. They pulled away a bit later.
"Uh, sorry, about all that." Lee said sheepishly. Stampy smiled softly and rubbed his friend's shoulder.
"You don't have to be sorry, I don't mind helping you. You do so much for me and I've always wanted to repay you." He said. Lee blinked and nodded. "You have..."
They hung out the rest of the day and spent some quality time together. This cheered both of them up; their bond was now healed and their friendship was stronger. Spending time together made them realize something pretty important, but they didn't know if it was right.
They were talking, getting a little closer every minute, all of the sudden, something...changed. The trees started swaying with wind and the sky turned black with dark clouds. Obviously, the two were frightened by this. They hurried inside and looked at each other as if the other had an explanation.
"What in the world was that about?" Stampy asked; Lee shrugged. This was going to be a heavy storm.
"I suppose we should stay inside until this weird storm clears. We could still talk." Stampy said sheepishly.
Lee nodded. "Mhm!" He smiled. They continued their talk; a while later, the rain started pouring down. The two gasped softly and leaned in to each other, a bit afraid. Once they saw what they were doing, they pulled away and quickly apologized to each other, in which the other said it was fine.
They stood up and awkwardly said goodbye before running off. They went to different parts of the house, panting and thinking one thing- THOUGH their thoughts were interrupted by a loud crash outside, followed by a scream. They rushed outside, pushing threw the doors to find Squid laying on the ground, to their disbelief, HitTheTarget stood over their friend, holding a sword to his neck.
"SQUID!!" Stampy called out, reaching for his bow. As he touched the wooden weapon, Hit sliced open his neck. Their eyes widened and they pulled both of their weapons out quickly.
They charged at Hit and dueled with him for a good amount of time. Blood was gushing out of all of them, and that's when HitTheTarget kicked Stampy down. Before Lee could help him, HTT swung his sword at Stampy, connecting with his chest and digging it into him.
