Chapter Thirty-One
When Lee came back home, he looked around, calling out for someone. "Stampy? Amy?" He asked aloud, looking in Stampy's room, then the kitchen and living room. He was confused on how no one was there. It was like the whole place was...
Abandoned. Lee bit his lip and drew his sword, pushing away all of the fears he had now and putting on a brave face. He turned quickly when he heard Amy running to him.
"Lee!! H-HitTheTarget killed Stampy!!" She exclaimed, panting and sobbing. Lee was wide-eyed.
"W-What!?" He said, gripping his sword. His face turned to mad. "Where is he!?" Lee growled, ready to storm outside and straight up kill Hit. Amy grabbed his arm and shook her head.
"No! Lee, you can't go out there! I managed to get away but Stampy wasn't so lucky!!" She warned. Lee looked away, before running outside. He ran at Hit, clashing his sword against his. The two were head-to-head, growling and trying to beat the other. They pulled away and slashed, clanking their swords hard together.
"You'll pay for what you've done, Hit! You better watch your back, cause I'm gonna be right behind it!!" Lee shouted, sending HTT to the ground in full on rage. He growled and panted. Hit looked up at him.
"You may have knocked me over, stupid bear, but you will never defeat me." He growled and disappeared in a cloud of smoke.
Lee dropped his sword, looking at the ground. "I...I couldn't protect you this time..." He whispered.
A couple days later, everyone, and I mean everyone, was losing it. Stampy's Lovely World wasn't so lovely anymore. No one looked joyful or smiled, the clouds were even duller. Stampy was like this spirit of pure happiness and joy, but now that he isn't here, everything was going downhill. Fast.
Squid was walking threw the hallway, when he saw Lee, just looking around it seemed. He went up behind him and hesitantly spoke, because no one has spoke to him since, and he didn't speak to anyone since.
"Uh, hey Lee!" He smiled softly. "Erm...I see you're just walking threw Stampy- uh, your house..." He murmured. Lee froze for a moment, before slowly turning to Squid.
"What?" He said, his eyes wide. Squid took a step back. "I...I said your hou-"
"This. This is NOT my house! This is Stampy's house!! It will never ever EVER be my house! Stampy built it, he put everything into this house! He put everything into everything and anything, Squid! This will NEVER. BE. MY. HOUSE. I don't want to hear that ever again! Okay!? Do you-" He was interrupted by a very scared Squid pulling him into his arms to try and calm him down.
Lee struggled before finally giving up. He huffed and sighed.
"You don't have to act like it doesn't hurt." Squid said, rubbing the other's back in an attempt at sympathy. "It doesn't hurt..." Lee lied, looking away as sadness filled his eyes. "I'm fine..."
"No, Lee, you aren't. You haven't talked to anyone ever since-"
"Please...please, please please don't say it..."
"Okay. I won't. But why won't you talk to anyone?"
"I...because...it's my fault he...he..." Lee covered his face with both of his paws. Squid sighed and hugged him tightly.
"I could've been there! I took that stupid walk and now-now he's DEAD!" He exclaimed, pants and whimpers leaving him. Squid looked extremely sad for him, continuing to hold him.
"Lee...it's alright that you're sad, but you can't blame yourself for that! Hit came here and did that, you didn't know he did or would come, Lee." Squid said. Lee sighed.
"I...I really miss him...it's hard...even if it was just a couple days ago, Squid!" He said, looking up at him. Squid nodded. "I know. Everyone feels that way, but we know you were closest to him, but...if no one ever gets over this, his world will never be the same." Squid explained.
"It never will be the same. Not without him..." Lee sighed and walked away. Squid watched him, thinking it would be better for him to calm down a little. He sighed and walked away as well.
Lee went up to his room, sitting down on his bed. He got a picture of Stampy from where it sat on his storage chest. It was a picture of him and Stampy when they were younger. He clutched the picture to his chest and closed his eyes tightly so he wouldn't cry. He hated crying.
Lee took a deep breath and held it there, then let it out. He calmed down a little; he laid down and looked at the picture. "Why am I so stupid? If I would've just stayed there, you would be alive!!" He almost shouted, then quieted down.
He sighed and held the picture again. Lee fell asleep, still holding that picture frame with him.
