Chapter Sixty-Six
Stampy and Squid carefully made their way into the old wooden house, trying to look for as much rope as they could. They looked around, Stampy gulped as he saw the piano, already getting bad memories from this place.
They found a lot of ropes from traps set up by HTT and VeevaDash, and after they had gathered it all, they made a very long rope ladder. They tossed it down the edge of the cliff, making it land on an island just beside Lee. Squid held the rope for Stampy to climb down.
The bear's ears perked up when he heard the sound of it hitting the ground, and he looked up, following the ladder up the cliff and seeing Stampy and Squid, he smiled, standing up carefully while watching Stampy climb down. Stampy smiled at Lee, tears in his eyes.
"Lee-Bear! Thank Notch you're alive!" He sobbed happily.
Lee hesitantly went into the water after checking to make sure there weren't any sharks or Loch Ness Monsters, and Stampy even went into the water to help him get to the island. They hugged tightly, Stampy was actually crying, happily of course. Lee smiled, shaking and panting.
When they pulled away, Stampy looked to Lee.
"Lee, we have to climb that..." Stampy said, looking at Lee, who looked worried as he looked up the ladder. The orange cat held his hand out. "Do you trust me?"
Stampy smiled softly at the cub, trying to get him to stand up. He held out his paw for Lee to hold it. "I know you're scared, little guy, but you need to come with me." He said.
Lee looked unsure, he was obviously a little scared and shaken.
Stampy still smiled. "Do you trust me?"
Lee snapped out of it and nodded, a determined look on his face as he held Stampy's paw. Stampy's face lit up and they started to climb. Halfway through, Lee made the mistake of looking down. He gasped. "S-Stampy, I'm really-"
"Scared!" Lee whimpered, looking up at Stampy, who was shining a torch threw a cave. They were mining, and a zombie was circling them. Stampy smiled at the cub. "Lee, listen, you have to believe in me. We're-"
"Going to be okay! We're gonna be fine! We're gonna go home!" Stampy exclaimed, looking at him. He was smiling but Lee could tell he was just as nervous as himself.
The bear nodded, not one hundred percent confident, but he trusted Stampy, so he believed him.
They made it to the top of the mountain, and Squid cheered in delight, hugging them both tightly. They hugged back, and Stampy was so so happy that Lee was alright.
The trio went home after that, Stampy smiling as he saw Lee sleeping in the back, he was just so cute when he was asleep. Squid smiled to Stampy. "You did it." He said.
Stampy glanced to Squid, smiling as well. "No, we did it. I could never have done that without you." He said. Squid chuckled. "I'm glad he's okay..." He said. Stampy nodded. "Me too, Squid, me too..."
They made it home and woke Lee up, even though he was adorable, he needed to be patched up. They got the wounds treated and let him rest for a while.
Things would be alright.
