Chapter Sixty-Seven
Stampy and Lee were asleep on that couch, Lee had his head on Stampy's lap, curled up on the couch with a knitted blanket tossed over him, while Stampy had his paw gently on the bear's head. Stampy has his boots kicked off lazily onto the floor, and Lee was in his soft pajamas, both even more comfy than before.
Squid stumbled upon them, and smiled, silently "aww"ing at them and running off quickly to get the camera. He snapped a picture and ran away in fear of them waking up on hearing the noise of the camera shudder.
They didn't.
They were in too much of a nice relaxing sleep to realize that the picture had been taken, and had already been shared with all of their friends.
This was the first time in a loooong time they had done this. It was nice, and peaceful. They didn't have to worry about anything, they were at ease for today. No building, no fighting, no stress. Only peace.
Squid, however, was quite bored. He decided to go and play with the doggies a bit after Stampy and Lee has fallen asleep, so he went to the dog house and played with them, he played fetch with them in their house and gave them pork chops and bones as a treat. Stampy doesn't mind anyone playing with them, because, well, they're adorable! Who wouldn't want to play with such adorable puppies? Well, cat-lovers... But he has a cat, too, y'know!
That's where Squid went next, he went to go pet Mittens. He pet and played with Mittens, giving her a ball of yarn and some fish, he then just walked around aimlessly for a while, going to see the Sheepies and the Piggy-Wigs and Moo-Moos. He fed them all wheat and carrots, then just kept on walking. He checked his mail, washed his clothes, not that he had any, and put some water on the stove juuuust to watch it boil, because he was so bored.
He groaned outside, it was really boring with no one else that was awake to keep you company. He watched clocks tick by, took a nap, did some jumping jacks, had a dance party, read two words in a book, pondered life, all in the time that Stampy and Lee were asleep.
When they finally woke up, Squid was so excited. "Yay!! You guys were asleep for soooooo long!" He exclaimed. Stampy looked at the clock. "It's been two hours." He said confusedly. Squid deadpanned. "Oh."
Lee chuckled quietly, sitting upright. Stampy stretched his arms and legs before getting up, asking Lee if he needed anything, in which he said no. After that, Stampy left out with Squid to finally do something that would make Squid not bored anymore.
They talked to Harriet and Harrison for a little while, then Henry and Hilda, and Norman as well, and Holly and Jolly, the two snowwomen in Stampy's reindeer game.
That took a good three hours, in which they came back to check on Lee, who was just resting. He would probably be like that for a while, since what happened was pretty draining, to say the least.
The two then talked to each other for a while, Stampy made tea and they had a lovely chat, cat to squid for once. They talked about new mini games that might be exciting, or new shops, or something of the sort. They only had little ideas, like maybe a zoo, or a hide and seek game.
The two never really came up with anything, but it was nice to talk and share ideas with each other in the long run. They talked about that cliff, and how they should probably build a bridge and destroy that building, so no one else gets hurt in it, so they put in in the imaginary to do list, that would probably never happen. Things in that list weren't too important; important things usually got done right away and were very common.
Stampy sighed, looking out the window. He smiled at Squid. "Well, I hope you aren't bored anymore." He chuckled as it was getting dark. Squid nodded. "I'm not!" He smiled, yawning. "Tired, even."
Stampy nodded as he stood up. "Same here, I better wake up Lee-Bear and get him to sleep in his bed, rather than the couch." He chuckled. Squid nodded. "Couches aren't the comfiest thing in the world." He said, standing up as well. Stampy nodded. "You got that right!" He said.
