We've learned a lot on Gamba (Samia's mate) over lunch and he learned a couple things on us as well. He stayed for lunch, unfortunately.

Gamba is a part of the SCM, one thing I know that he and my parents didn't enlighten us on, especially Samia. At first I didn't recognize him but he's the one who verified if my parents were on the list.

Idiotic fool... if he thinks he can lie to Samia, he's in for it.

He told us all the basic information on himself; his birthday, his age (26 yrs old), his fonction in our pack (warrior) and he's from the west side.

Every pack territory is divided into four parts; (north, east, west, south). The Alpha, Beta, Omega, castle guards, all the strong families and castle servants always live in the north. Every pack's main prison is located in the south.

About Gamba's family; his father is also a warrior, he's a middle child (one older brother & one small brother) and his mother was assassinated ten years ago.

My parents also informed me that Arcadius won't be back in 6 days and they don't know why.

"Well thank you for lunch everyone, it was wonderful," Gamba said standing up from his seat.

We all looked at him and smiled. His height and body form is quiet impressive, if I do say so myself.

"May I ask, who made the meal?" he said looking into Samia eyes.

Everyone looked at me. Awkward

"It wasn't me sadly, but my sister over here," she said grabbing onto my arm, "made the wonderful meal."

"If your sister culinary skills are this good, I can't wait to have a taste of yours." Gamba flattered Samia by kissing her hand with a bow.

"We'll escort you to the door," my parents said rising from their seats, while my siblings cleaned the table and I started on the dishes.

"When will you be back for me?" Samia asked, while moving towards the door with him.

"We, your mother and I, were thinking after your studies, you could move in with him after you guys mating ritual," our father said waiting for Samia's reaction.

"Why can't we do the mating ritual now and I move in with him? Me living with my partner won't affect my studies. Besides, I'm finishing this year," she said taking Gamba's hand.

"The more reasons to wait and I don't want to make a discussion out of it," our father said sternly.

"Why aren't you saying anything?" Samia asked Gamba with tears in her eyes.

Ooouuuuhhhh, time for some tea!

"Samia, it's for the best right now," he said giving her a tight hug.

She sobbed in his arms and quietly said, "I see you weren't as excited to meet me as I was for you."

"No that's not true- Sir could I have a moment outside with your daughter?" Gamba asked father.

The following day, there were knocks at everybody's door late in the evening...

"Yes?" My mother asked opening the door.

"We are here to announce that the Alpha is demanding for everyone who is located in the north, to be at the public stage." a castle guard said.

"Okay, we will be right there," she said shutting the door.

If you guys are wondering why none of us question the guard's authority, it's because you can't question the Alpha orders that comes from his subordinates. It's just rude.

"Maira go get your siblings, I'll go get your father," my mother said rushing to their room.

I left the laundry I was folding and went to tell my siblings to get ready.

I found Samia laying in bed eating meatballs to calm her pain as the girls were talking and Farhad was sleeping.

"Get dressed all of you, we have to gather at the public stage," I said, grabbing my pair of black boots. They'll go perfectly with my jeans and white t-shirt.

"Okay, I'll get ready," Dyna said rushing to her drawers, "I need to be cute at all times!"

"Maira, I'm coming in my pyjamas, is that a problem?" Azra asked lazily relaxing on the floor.

"Alpha orders?" Samia asked.

"Wear what you want Azra & yeah, you coming Samia? Why am I even asking," I laughed, "You don't even have a choice."

"I'm staying, I don't care. Tell me what was said when you get back." She said.

"Don't think about him-" Azra started.

"Shut up! All of you! Anyways, Farhad is sleeping, I'll stay to guard him." Samia said sadly.

"Sorry you're in this mood," I said getting out of the room.

The torches were lighted with fire to illuminate the public stage, it gave off a dramatic effect. The wind blew softly as the fireflies came out to give the night a smile while the moon shined brightly in the sky to give us a sign of blessing and protection.

"EarthMoon pack!" Alpha Ezekiel welcomed, as he got on stage. The Beta, Omega and some important male wolves from the council stood at the back of the stage.

Claps...

"As your Alpha, I apologize to pull you out of your homes tonight, but it was really urgent," he said observing his people then continued, "I have a couple of announcements to make."

Claps...

"My Luna, your Luna, our Luna is carrying my child," he announced proudly, "and for that we will be having a grand celebration in 10 days!"

The pack and myself were all in joy and amazement for our Alpha and Luna as we clapped. It's been a year since their mating ritual.

"Unfortunately, she couldn't make it here tonight on stage with me because of some personal reasons but the preparations will start tomorrow morning at once! I want every corner of our glorious land filled with candles, every streets and corners cleaned, music playing loudly & every cabin bar filled with drinks and food provided by us to our people," he said pacing around the stage with excitement in his eyes.

Everyone screamed and applauded in joy.

"Next thing I had to say, the lunar eclipse is approaching us. In 90 days to be exact. Expect the usual festivals, feast and entertainment we have the week before it," he said moving his hand around vaguely, "and the day of the lunar eclipse itself, we will have our sacred ritual to honour the moon goddess and pray for our sins to be forgiven."

Beta Tadashi started the pack's special howl as the pack followed and the Alpha lead.

The lunar eclipse is really sacred to us werewolves, I mean every single one of us, every pack. It's a really spiritual day between us and her. It's a day when you transform into your war form and you're like 3x stronger than you are usually, you're connected with the deepest part of yourself.

"Last announcement but not least, yesterday evening, I was informed that there is a rogue among us." Alpha Ezekiel said after our little moment.

Everyone seemed more curious to know who the rogue was than to be worry.

"Apparently the rogue was identified as a female," the Alpha said walking calmly on the stage.

Every face expression in the audience was in shock.

Females aren't known to be troublemakers or fighters or warriors or I might as well say it's not seen as normal.

"And why are you telling us this Alpha?" someone screamed from the crowd, "Isn't this confidential information you and our Beta keep among yourselves?"

"Yeah!" another yelled.

"Because I want you all to be on the lookout for this rogue." Alpha Ezekiel said.

"Why is that? Won't it cause panick?" Samia yelled, with Farhad in her arms sleeping.

What is she doing here?

"Because this rogue wasn't clearly seen, she was cover in mud."

Samia glanced at me and started moving towards me.

Complete silence...

"Did she leave anything behind? Where was she last seen?" a guy asked from the public, "So we could track her sent or something?"

People nodded in agreement...

"None, but the information I'll be letting everyone know is that this rogue is a female, she has brown eyes, curly long hair, her height is average & her body has the form of an hour glass. Last night she escaped these young men," he said while bringing on stage Xander and Darrell that our Beta brought forward, "with some impressive fighting skills," he finished off by analyzing Xander.

Darrell whispered into our Alpha ears asking him permission to speak to us, which he was given.

"Everyone, as you can see, this girl is now being considered a traitor to her pack, a rogue because she attacked one of her own with no valid reason-"

Samia suddenly grabbed me by the arm, "we have some talking to do after this!" she whispered yelled.

"Whatever," I shrugged my shoulders to remove her hand.

My parents looked at us and gave us a questioning look.

Way to go Samia! At least be subtle that you know it's me.

"Samia I thought you were staying home?" Azra asked.

"I really had to-"

"Excuse me, but are we interrupting something?" Darrell asked my family and I.

Bastard! Mind your business.

"Who? Us?" Dyna questioned. For sure all the attention was on us now.

"I'm really sorry for the disturbance, continue please." My father apologized.

"You!" Xander pointed to me. "You look like her!"

"It's her?!" Darrell asked confused staring me down while I kept a cool face.

"I don't think so, you've mistaken my daughter for someone else." My father said holding me while my mother grabbed his shoulders in agreement.

"She fits the description of the hair, height, eyes & body if we look closely" an old lady said.

"True that," another yelled.

"Alpha! We found her!"

"Boys, what do you think?" Beta Tadashi asked Xander and Darrell.

The crowd went crazy around me as my family tried protecting me. Farhad woke up and started to cry, probably confused.

My mother took him from Samia and left us in the mess, but not without placing a kiss on my left cheek. That was her way of wishing me good luck.

"Enough!" Alpha Ezekiel silenced. Everyone felt his power of authority, with his dark skin glistening as the moon light shined on his tall muscular body, he stood high with courage.

"The girl shall come back to the palace with us for questioning, everybody else you may go home. But! Still keep an eye out for any suspicious female," he said looking at me intensely, quite uncomfortable I may say. "The girl we have for now is only a suspect," he finished off by giving the signal to his castle guards to take me.

"No, let my daughter go! She's innocent!" My father yelled desperately. "I beg of your mercy Alpha!"

"Don't," Samia said grabbing ahold of our father's arm, "IF she's innocent, she'll return home safely."

"And if not, she'll be executed in ten days, right here in front of everyone," our Alpha decided, "the same night we'll be celebrating the pregnancy of my wife as a pack."

I stood there, stunned.

I really wonder why Arcadius suddenly left with no explanation, with nada! I really do 🤔🤔 Why?!

Why would Gamba just leave poor Samia like that? What is SCM really about? What is he really about? 👀

No, my man Gamba is aight, y'all don't need to worry bout him!!! 👅👅💦
