The weekend came by fast. Jerrold lived with me for three days, and Madam Devil really watched herself.

Lots of the younger kids and girls wanted to hang out with him. We ended up both hanging out with the younger children, and you could see the disappointment in their eyes with me being there.

I never really fit in here. I mean, I meet friends, but you know the story. They get adopted and never visit.

Jerrold and I are in the kitchen eating some cheep version of Frosted Flakes. With 72 hours, I felt like I knew Jerrold my whole life.

I leave later today, I already have my stuff packed. I feel like a star exploding and rebuilding itself.

I'm leaving my past behind and starting my new present today. Tomorrow finally came. I'm finally free from this place.

"Come on Cassandra. They're here."

I don't know how he knows, but he's always right. I follow him done the stairs and I see my new parents walking through the door.

"Hey Mom. What's up Dad?"

"Hello Jerrold," I walked down the stairs. "Oh. Hello Cassandra. Are you ready?"

I nod my head. Madam Devil comes by. "Cassandra! Go get your stuff." I raced up the stairs to get my trunk from my room.

My single trunk hold all my clothes. My drawings I drew of the sky. My pictures. Anything that was mine and not the orphanage. Which wasn't a lot.

I carried my belongings down the stairs. My new family was waiting for me and we left to go in their car. The drive was a couple hours long.

We reached a big nice house. It was a light blue color. I entered through the white wooden door after them.

The landing was sparkling clean. There was a place for shoes on the side. They all took their shoes off, and I copied them. Jerrold grabbed my bag and ran up the stairs.

I smiled and raced after him. I saw him enter a room, and I followed. The room was white. White walls. White door. White dresser. White desk.

In the center of the room a circular light and dark grey bed. It was the moon. The diameter of the circle had to be about my size. There was a see through curtain that connected to the ceiling that was grey.

Jerrold sent my trunk down by my dresser.

"We left the walls white because you like to paint. We though you would love to be able to paint your room."

"Thank you." I gave him a smile.

"Here! I'll give you a tour of the house. Quickly! Before Diana comes."

We ran through the house as he showed me his bedroom, Nick and Annabel's, and Diana's rooms. We went to all the bathrooms, the kitchen, the two living rooms, and dinning room. Everything was perfectly decorated. The hallways were covered in pictures. Pictures of Diana and Jerrold. Jerrold and his friends. Diana and her friends. I saw them all. The front door opened and two guys came in while we were in the kitchen.

They walked into where we were siting at and started to make some food.  They joined us at the table and I kept my eyes on my food.

"Guys. You'r not supposed to be here. Remember?"

"We got bored."

"And you weren't here for the last three days. This is revenge."

They stopped talking. I looked up and there eyes are different. Fuzzy. Jerrold did this sometime over the weekend. I didn't think it was a common thing.

"Anyways, Cassandra. This is Mike and Matt."

"Nice to meet you Cassandra."

"What's up, Cass?"

"Hi..."

Their eyes go fuzzy again. I feel like there communicating somehow. They stop and started to make a conversation with me. Just like Jerrold did with me on the first day. I didn't open as easily. They just walked into someone else's house.

Mike and Matt are apparently very important people. They talk very highly about themselves. Matt mention being Beta and I was confused. Jerrold looked like Madam Devil. He was mad.

Diana came running into the living room, the area we were talking in. I was siting in an arm chair and the boys were siting on the coach. Diana sat herself of her brother's lap.

"Hey D."

"Hey Jerrold." Diana must be around the age of nine or ten.

"What did you do?"

"I hanged out with Mac! And mom and dad picked me up and took me to the store to pick up some paint!"

"Why would you guys need paint?" Matt looked at Jerrold.

"For Cassandra."

"You paint." Mike looked at me. I nodded.

Annabel and Nick came in the room.

"I thought you told you two boys to stay away." Annabel put her hands in her hips.

"Sorry Gamma Annabel..." They mumbled and made there way towards the door. I stared at them confused.

"Your paint is upstairs in your room. How are you liking it here?" Annabel sat on the couch waiting for an answer.

"It lovely. It's much better than the orphanage."

My attitude and my tone showed her that I was enjoying it here. She let out a deep breath. "Good, I want you to be comfortable."

"Thank you."

"No problem, Cassandra." A deep voice came into our conversation. I smiled at Nick.

I yawned.

"Cassandra, you must be tired. This must have been a stressful day. Off to bed everyone."

We went up to our rooms. I open my door and closed it slowly. I went to the window. I missed the sunset, but that's ok. I open the window. The top of the roof is close enough. I climb it and look up at the stars.

It wasn't the best view on the stars, but I felt closer to them. I slid down the roof. Stopping before I fall. I climbed down into the window.
I see the paint and started to plan my walls. I could see the design. I started to paint the walls with small strokes.
