CHAPTER 05- The Alpha's Claim

In Kim Mansion, Morning
L I L A C ' S P O V
I woke with a start, my head spinning, the echo of a pain-filled scream still ringing in my ears. For a moment, I didn't know where I was. The last thing I remembered was the rain-the cold, refreshing rain-and then... darkness.
I looked around, my eyes adjusting to the dimly lit room. Soft, golden light filtered in through the windows, casting an ethereal glow over the space. The scent of wood and earth lingered in the air, and a warm blanket was draped around me. I was lying in bed-luxurious, but not mine. This wasn't my room.
As panic began to creep in, I sat up too quickly, my head spinning. I felt a sharp pain on my shoulder and winced, a stinging sensation that hadn't been there before. I touched the spot, only to find a strange, inflamed mark that hadn't been there when I went outside.
What happened?
A sudden, jarring memory struck me. The moment in the rain-his eyes, intense and commanding. His lips on mine, a kiss that stole my breath away. And then, the bite.
I gasped, putting my hand to my mouth as the pieces of what had occurred started to fall into place. Taehyung. He... marked me.
Panic surged through me, and I jumped out of the bed, only to stumble slightly as I caught my bearings. I wasn't sure whether I should be angry or terrified. I had never known a world where such things could happen, where bonds like this could be forced upon someone. But then, I remembered the look in Taehyung's eyes, the force of his presence. I couldn't deny that there was something deeper between us-a pull I couldn't resist.
No, this can't be real.
I rubbed my eyes, trying to make sense of everything. The rain, the kiss, the bite, and then... nothing. My mind was still foggy, and everything seemed like a dream I couldn't escape.
The door creaked open, and my breath caught in my throat as Taehyung stepped inside, his presence filling the room like a storm cloud. His eyes were dark with something I couldn't decipher, but the weight of them pressed down on me, almost suffocating.
"You're awake," he said softly, his voice a low rumble that sent a shiver down my spine.
I took a step back, instinctively guarding myself, my hand clutching the side of the bed. "What did you do to me?" I asked, my voice trembling despite my best efforts to sound steady.
He didn't answer right away, instead watching me closely. His gaze was intense, filled with something... possessive, almost primal. "You're mine now," he finally said, each word deliberate, as if it were a truth that could not be disputed.
" what Do you Mean by that?! ", Lilac asked with a hint of fear in her eyes as she looked at Taehyung and mentally hoping in her mind, it's not what she thinks it is.
" You Are My Mate, Lilac.... Moon Goddess Chosen You As My Destined Mate..... And You Are Mine Now....", Taehyung's voice roared out into the Whole Room leaving No question asked... Taehyung can feel Lilac's distress as her mood slowly starts to fade with an expression of shock, Bitterness and Fear.....
I shook my head, panic rising again. "I never agreed to this."
"You don't need to agree," Taehyung said, stepping closer. His presence was overpowering, but there was something tender in his gaze now, something that confused me even more. "It's already done. You're my mate, Lilac. And I will protect you with my life."
I froze at the word 'mate.' It felt like a knife in my chest, slicing through the veil of reality I had once known. This wasn't something I could just brush off.
"Please," I whispered, my voice small and vulnerable. "I didn't ask for this."
The tenderness in Taehyung's eyes faltered for a moment, but it quickly returned, a quiet strength in the way he spoke. "I know you didn't. But this bond-it's not just something I can ignore. It's not something you can do, either. You don't understand, but I can teach you."
" That's Not what I meant... I am not Good enough for you, Alpha... I....I ....am... A ...human..... I.. I...How ....can....I.....be.... Your mate?!", Lilac asked looking at at Taehyung with a fear and disappointment is laced on her face ....... She feels embarrassed being Taehyung's mate... Not because of Taehyung but for herself.... How can she be The Mate Of Newly Crowned Alpha and The Luna of Credential Moon Pack ?!
She is weak and pathetic, not good looking but also ugly..... How can she be the Luna? A Luna of A pack supposed to be Strong-willed and full of confident... Alas, Lilac has none of these Qualities.....
I wanted to shout, to run, to find a way out of this place, but my body refused to obey. His words-his presence-were a constant pressure that made it hard to think clearly. I didn't want this, I didn't deserve him. But the pull, the overwhelming need to be near him, was undeniable.
"Why... why did you mark me like that?" I asked, my voice cracking. "Why didn't you ask me first?"
He seemed to soften at my words, his eyes flickering with something like regret. "I never wanted to hurt you," he said quietly. "But my wolf... it wouldn't let me resist."
A cold knot formed in my stomach as I realized what he was saying. This wasn't just about him. It was about something darker, something far beyond his control.
Before I could say anything else, the door burst open again, and a voice I recognized instantly filled the room. "What the hell is going on here?"
I turned to see Namjoon standing in the doorway, his face filled with shock and disbelief. His gaze quickly shifted to Taehyung, then back to me.
I wanted to run to him, to escape from this madness, but I couldn't. My body refused to leave Taehyung's side.
"Namjoon," I whispered, my heart aching with confusion and fear. "I... I don't know what's happening."
Namjoon's eyes softened for a brief moment before he turned his attention to Taehyung. "You marked her?" he demanded, his voice rising with anger.
Taehyung stood tall, unfazed by Namjoon's outburst. "She's mine. There's nothing you can do to change that."
I could feel the tension crackling in the air, the two men standing like opposing forces. But even though I wanted to shout at them both, to demand answers, I found myself paralyzed by the force of the bond that was slowly, unwillingly, wrapping itself around me.
I didn't know how to break free from this.

The golden sunlight streamed through the windows of the Kim Mansion, casting warm hues over the room where Lilac's adoptive parents, Hyunsik and Se-kyung sat with Taehyung's mother, Lady Yuna . It was a rare gathering, their connection rooted in fate and now further solidified by Lilac and Taehyung's bond.
Se-kyung sipped her tea, her delicate hands trembling slightly. "It feels like just yesterday that we found her," she said softly, her eyes distant as if reliving that stormy night. "She was so small, so helpless. I still hear the echo of her cries sometimes."
Lady Yuna leaned forward, her expression thoughtful. "She was always meant for something greater, Se-kyung~ah.... The Moon Goddess does not place a child at our borders without purpose. Taehyung... he's not just drawn to her as a mate. His wolf recognizes her soul."
Hyunsik added, "When I served under Alpha Kim, I saw how he governed with fairness and strength. Taehyung carries that legacy. He will protect her, cherish her."
Lady Yuna smiled, though there was a shadow of concern in her gaze. "I believe he will. But Lilac... she carries a weight she doesn't fully understand yet. Being Luna isn't just a title; it's a responsibility. She must grow into it, and we must guide her."

As the meeting ended, Lilac and her family returned home. Namjoon didn't say anything after what Taehyung said as he just took me out of the room as I saw my parents were talking with Lady Luna.....
The car ride was quiet, the weight of the conversation pressing on Lilac. She leaned her head against the window, watching the landscape blur past, her thoughts as turbulent as the clouds overhead.
"Lilac," Namjoon said gently, breaking the silence.
“ You've been quiet. What's on your mind? Are you... happy with this, Lilac?” Namjoon’s voice was gentle, his concern evident.
Lilac hesitated, her hands twisting nervously in her lap. "I feel... lost," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "Everything is happening so fast. I don't even know who I am anymore."
Se-kyung reached over, her hand warm and reassuring on Lilac's. "You are our daughter, and you are strong. The Moon Goddess chose you for this path for a reason."
"But what if I'm not ready?" Lilac's voice cracked, her vulnerability laid bare. "What if I can't be what everyone expects me to be?"
Hyunsik 's deep voice rumbled with quiet authority. "You are more ready than you think, Lilac. Being Luna isn't about perfection; it's about the heart. And you have that in abundance."
Her father reached over, placing a comforting hand on hers. “Lilac, I understand this is overwhelming. But Taehyung is a good man. He’ll protect you, cherish you. I’ve seen the way he looks at you. He’s already bound to you in ways you might not understand yet.”
Se-kyung added softly, “Give this a chance, dear. Sometimes, the greatest blessings come in the form of challenges. The bond you share with Taehyung is sacred, and in time, you may come to see it as a gift.”
Namjoon added with a small smile, "Besides, you've handled me your whole life. If you can manage that, you can handle anything. And he ever mistreats you, just tell me, Alpha Or not, He will face me for hurting my baby sister......"
Lilac let out a watery laugh, the tension in her chest easing slightly. "I'll try," she said softly. "But it still feels... overwhelming."
Se-kyung cupped her daughter's face, her eyes filled with love. "One step at a time, my little baby.....Give yourself a chance. And give Taehyung a chance. He's your mate, and mates have a way of helping each other grow."

Back in the cursed castle, the walls felt like they were closing in. The morning has come but the peace didn't come along in this castle. Jungkook's mind was spinning in a chaotic whirlwind of thoughts and pain. The burn on his shoulder-the mark-was a constant reminder that his Luna was gone.
But Jungkook wasn't the type to simply give up. He was determined. He would find her. No one could take his Luna from him-not while he was still breathing.
His thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door. His Beta, Jimin, entered, looking hesitant, but also deeply concerned.
"Alpha~, you need to calm down," Jimin said, his voice steady but full of worry.
Jungkook's eyes flicked up, filled with rage and sorrow. "Calm down?" he hissed. "My Luna was taken from me, Jimin! T. a .k .e . n. I will not rest until she's in my arms."
Jimin lowered his head. "I understand. But we don't know where she is. We don't know who has her, and we don't even know if she's still alive."
The words hit Jungkook like a punch to the gut. His hands clenched into fists, the burn on his shoulder flaring with anger. "I will find her," he growled, his voice dark with a deadly promise. "I don't care who took her. No one stands in my way. NO ONE......."
Jimin's eyes widened at the dark hew in jungkook's eyes, but he stayed silent. He knew what Jungkook was capable of when he was consumed by obsession. And this-this was something darker than anything they had faced before.
Jungkook was a man on a mission.
A mission that would change everything.

The Border Intrusion
Meanwhile, at the border between the Credential Moon Pack and the Lycan Wolf Pack, the hooded figure stood motionless, his dark cloak blending into the shadows of the forest. He raised his hands, and an ominous energy crackled in the air.
The border shimmered briefly before a small section dissolved into nothingness. The figure smirked, his red eyes glowing with satisfaction. "A single crack is all it takes," he murmured. "Let them bask in their fragile happiness. It won't last."
He turned and vanished into the night, leaving no trace of his presence except for the faint scent of burnt magic lingering in the air.

Jungkook couldn't get an ounce of sleep throughout the day..... Far from the warmth of the Kim Mansion, Jungkook strode through the desolate terrain of the cursed lands, his eyes burning with determination. The air was thick with an unnatural chill, the trees gnarled and lifeless around him.
"Jimin!" he barked, his voice echoing in the eerie silence.
The beta appeared swiftly, his movements cautious. "Alpha."
Jungkook's piercing gaze bore into him. "Did you find her? The witch?"
Jimin was send to find some information about The Witches that he once found on his family History Book.... The Autobiography of His ansectors' did try to find a witch who is capable of putting out the Curse..... One of his Great Great Grandfather, Jeon Il-sung found the witch and tried to convince Her to perform a ritual to get them out of this shackled fate of cursed Land... But the demand of witch is something that he couldn't never give... So, he gives up on the idea of freeing themselves for the cursed Land....
Jimin hesitated. "I've found rumors, Alpha. There's talk of a powerful witch in the northern forests, beyond the cursed lands. But... she's dangerous. They say she demands a price no one can afford."
Jungkook growled lowly, his frustration simmering. "I'll pay whatever it takes. She will help me."
Jimin lowered his head. "Yes, Alpha. I'll gather more information."
As Jimin disappeared into the shadows, Jungkook's hands clenched into fists. "No one takes what's mine," he muttered, his voice venomous. "She will be mine, no matter the cost."

Back at her family's home, Lilac sat by the pavement , staring out at the moonlit sky. Her father entered quietly, his presence comforting. "Can't sleep?" he asked.
Lilac shook her head. "There's too much on my mind."
Hyunsik pulled up a chair beside her. "It's okay to feel uncertain, Lilac. You've been thrust into a world you weren't prepared for. But remember, the Moon Goddess never makes mistakes. She chose you for Taehyung, and she chose Taehyung for you."
Lilac hesitated. "What if I'm not enough for him?"
Her father smiled gently. "You're already more than enough. Trust yourself. And trust him. The bond you share is sacred, stronger than anything in this world."
Lilac nodded, her heart a little lighter. "Thank you, Dad."
As Lilac drifted off to sleep that night, the moon shone brightly, casting a silver glow over the land. But on the far side of the Credential Moon Pack, darkness stirred. The crack in the border shimmered faintly, a silent harbinger of the chaos to come.
