THE HEARTBREAK CLUB.

Aspen looked at all of her friends in her living room. They were all doing something to keep themselves busy, but there was a giant elephant in the room. The elephant being that all of their boyfriends had coincidentally broke up with them around the same time. Aspen didn't expect that when she told her friends that her boyfriend, Dominic, had broken up with her, they would say the same thing too.

It was the whole reason why they were at Aspen and Sam's apartment in the first place. Aspen and Sam both agreed that their friends needed to comfort each other and have someone to vent to. But it seemed like no-one wanted to talk.

Which Aspen really hated. The Gonzalez girl didn't like leaving things unspoken. And she definitely didn't like sitting in silence. It came as no surprise to her friends when she finally said something.

"Are we all just going to sit in silence or are we going to talk about something, anything?" She asked her friends, eyeing each and every one of them.

Emily scoffed at Aspen. She was actually enjoying not talking. "What's there to talk about?" She replied. "All of our boyfriends broke up with us, and I as much as I would love to say I don't care, I really, really do."

"I'm sorry, Em. It's just... I hate seeing you all so sad." She said genuinely.

Michal chimed in. "How else are we supposed to feel?" She asked, a confused expression on her. "I mean, I would expect for you to be feeling sad as well. Aren't you upset that Dominic broke up with you?" The psych major in Michal coming out with her question.

Emily turned to Aspen to hear her response.

"I mean, of course I am, I loved Dominic and I thought he loved me, but I guess he didn't." She cleared her throat to keep her voice from breaking. "I don't want to dwell on it. It's his loss." Aspen said.

Alina nodded her head at that. "Exactly." She agreed. "All of us can easily find someone else to date."

"And how are we going to do that, Lina?" Audrey asked. Samantha looked at Alina, also wanting to know the answer.

Alina shrugged. "I don't know, but what I do know is that we all are pretty, smart, and independent women who shouldn't be feeling sad over some dumb college boys."

Aspen smiled. "Okay, I didn't want to say anything, but." She drew out the 'but'. "There's a party at 6:00 tonight and I think we should all go."

"It can take our minds off of things." She added before any of her friends could object.

Audrey shook her head, objecting anyway. "No. You all can go, but Aspen, you know I don't party." She said.

Aspen sighed. "Please, just this once. I promise I won't ask you to go to another party." She pleaded.

Audrey gave Aspen a look and then rolled her eyes. "Fine, but just this once." She relented.

Alina laughed. "I think it sounds fun." She smiled as an idea popped into her mind. "With any luck, we can find each other some cute guys to make our exes jealous."

Sam laughed in shock. "Alina!"

Alina gave an innocent look. "What? It can be fun, we can be each other's wingwoman."

Emily laughed as well. "That actually sounds fun." She said. "And not just at the party, we can find each other a new partner at school too. It can be a like a club of ours." She mused.

"I like that." Aspen commented. "We can call ourselves 'The Heartbreak Club'." She said dramatically.

Audrey shook her head at her friends. "Wow, Aspen, how long did it take you to come up with that?" She said playfully. All of the girls laughed.

Aspen turned to Audrey. "Do you have a better name?" She retorted. When Audrey stayed quiet, Aspen smiled in victory.

"The Heartbreak Club it is." Audrey said.

All of the girls smiled at each other.

Emily looked at her phone. "Okay, if I'm going to a party, I need to go now so I can be ready." She said, picking up her purse.

"You're right." Alina said, agreeing with Emily. "It takes me a couple of hours to get ready."

Aspen laughed at Alina. "Okay." She stood up from the chair she was sitting in to hug Emily and Alina.

After Emily and Alina left, she turned to Michal and Audrey. "Are you guys going to leave too?" She asked.

"Yeah. We'll see you at the party." Michal said, getting her things.

Aspen nodded. She hugged Audrey and Michal.

"See you at the party." She told her friends.

Aspen closed the door to her apartment. She turned to Sam.

"Let's get ready for a party!" She said excitedly. Sam laughed and the two went upstairs to their room to start picking out their outfits for the night.

This was a short prologue just to introduce the story and the dynamic between the girls which I hope you guys enjoyed.

I know this one was kind of basic and but the first chapter will be much better and the boys and the other characters will be in the first chapter!

The second cast page will be posted soon, I have not forgotten lol.
